1. ദൈവമേ, എന്റെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥന ശ്രദ്ധിക്കേണമേ; എന്റെ യാചനെക്കു മറഞ്ഞിരിക്കരുതേ.

1. To him that excelleth on Neginoth. A Psalme of David to give instruction. Heare my prayer, O God, and hide not thy selfe from my supplication.

2. എനിക്കു ചെവിതന്നു ഉത്തരമരുളേണമേ; ശത്രുവിന്റെ ആരവംനിമിത്തവും ദുഷ്ടന്റെ പീഡനിമിത്തവും ഞാന് എന്റെ സങ്കടത്തില് പൊറുതിയില്ലാതെ ഞരങ്ങുന്നു.

2. Hearken vnto me, and answere me: I mourne in my prayer, and make a noyse,

3. അവര് എന്റെ മേല് നീതികേടു ചുമത്തുന്നു; കോപത്തോടെ എന്നെ ഉപദ്രവിക്കുന്നു.

3. For the voyce of the enemie, and for the vexation of ye wicked, because they haue brought iniquitie vpon me, and furiously hate me.

4. എന്റെ ഹൃദയം എന്റെ ഉള്ളില് വേദനപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; മരണഭീതിയും എന്റെമേല് വീണിരിക്കുന്നു.

4. Mine heart trembleth within mee, and the terrours of death are fallen vpon me.

5. ഭയവും വിറയലും എന്നെ പിടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; പരിഭ്രമം എന്നെ മൂടിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

5. Feare and trembling are come vpon mee, and an horrible feare hath couered me.

6. പ്രാവിന്നുള്ളതുപോലെ എനിക്കു ചിറകുണ്ടായിരുന്നുവെങ്കില്! എന്നാല് ഞാന് പറന്നുപോയി വിശ്രമിക്കുമായിരുന്നു എന്നു ഞാന് പറഞ്ഞു.

6. And I said, Oh that I had wings like a doue: then would I flie away and rest.

7. അതേ, ഞാന് ദൂരത്തു സഞ്ചരിച്ചു, മരുഭൂമിയില് പാര്ക്കുംമായിരുന്നു! സേലാ.

7. Beholde, I woulde take my flight farre off, and lodge in the wildernes. Selah.

8. കൊടുങ്കാറ്റില്നിന്നും പെരുങ്കാറ്റില്നിന്നും ബദ്ധപ്പെട്ടു ഞാന് ഒരു സങ്കേതത്തിലേക്കു ഔടിപ്പോകുമായിരുന്നു!

8. Hee would make haste for my deliuerance from the stormie winde and tempest.

9. കര്ത്താവേ, സംഹരിച്ചു അവരുടെ നാവുകളെ ചീന്തിക്കളയേണമേ. ഞാന് നഗരത്തില് അതിക്രമവും കലഹവും കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

9. Destroy, O Lord, and deuide their tongues: for I haue seene crueltie and strife in the citie.

10. രാവും പകലും അവര് അതിന്റെ മതിലുകളിന്മേല് ചുറ്റി സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നു; നീതികേടും കഷ്ടവും അതിന്റെ അകത്തുണ്ടു.

10. Day and night they goe about it vpon the walles thereof: both iniquitie and mischiefe are in the middes of it.

11. ദുഷ്ടത അതിന്റെ നടുവില് ഉണ്ടു; ചതിവും വഞ്ചനയും അതിന്റെ വീഥികളെ വിട്ടുമാറുന്നതുമില്ല.

11. Wickednes is in the middes thereof: deceit and guile depart not from her streetes.

12. എന്നെ നിന്ദിച്ചതു ഒരു ശത്രുവല്ല; അങ്ങനെയെങ്കില് ഞാന് സഹിക്കുമായിരുന്നു; എന്റെ നേരെ വമ്പു പറഞ്ഞതു എന്നെ പകെക്കുന്നവനല്ല; അങ്ങനെയെങ്കില് ഞാന് മറഞ്ഞുകൊള്ളുമായിരുന്നു.

12. Surely mine enemie did not defame mee: for I could haue borne it: neither did mine aduersarie exalt himselfe against mee: for I would haue hid me from him.

13. നീയോ എന്നോടു സമനായ മനുഷ്യനും എന്റെ സഖിയും എന്റെ പ്രാണസ്നേഹിതനുമായിരുന്നു.

13. But it was thou, O man, euen my companion, my guide and my familiar:

14. നാം തമ്മില് മധുരസമ്പര്ക്കം ചെയ്തു പുരുഷാരവുമായി ദൈവാലയത്തിലേക്കു പോയല്ലോ.

14. Which delited in consulting together, and went into the House of God as companions.

15. മരണം പെട്ടെന്നു അവരെ പിടിക്കട്ടെ; അവര് ജീവനോടെ പാതാളത്തിലേക്കു ഇറങ്ങട്ടെ; ദുഷ്ടത അവരുടെ വാസസ്ഥലത്തും അവരുടെ ഉള്ളിലും ഉണ്ടു.

15. Let death sense vpon them: let them goe downe quicke into the graue: for wickednes is in their dwellings, euen in the middes of them.

16. ഞാനോ ദൈവത്തെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കും; യഹോവ എന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കും.

16. But I will call vnto God, and the Lord will saue me.

17. ഞാന് വൈകുന്നേരത്തും കാലത്തും ഉച്ചെക്കും സങ്കടം ബോധിപ്പിച്ചു കരയും; അവന് എന്റെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥന കേള്ക്കും.

17. Euening and morning, and at noone will I pray, and make a noyse, and he wil heare my voice.

18. എന്നോടു കയര്ത്തുനിന്നവര് അനേകരായിരിക്കെ ആരും എന്നോടു അടുക്കാതവണ്ണം അവന് എന്റെ പ്രാണനെ വീണ്ടെടുത്തു സമാധാനത്തിലാക്കി;

18. He hath deliuered my soule in peace from the battel, that was against me: for many were with me.

19. ദൈവം കേട്ടു അവര്ക്കും ഉത്തരം അരുളും; പുരാതനമേ സിംഹാസനസ്ഥനായവന് തന്നേ. സേലാ. അവര്ക്കും മാനസാന്തരമില്ല; അവര് ദൈവത്തെ ഭയപ്പെടുന്നതുമില്ല.

19. God shall heare and afflict them, euen hee that reigneth of olde, Selah. because they haue no changes, therefore they feare not God.

20. തന്നോടു സമാധാനമായിരിക്കുന്നവരെ കയ്യേറ്റം ചെയ്തു തന്റെ സഖ്യത അവന് ലംഘിച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

20. Hee layed his hande vpon such, as be at peace with him, and he brake his couenant.

21. അവന്റെ വായ് വെണ്ണപോലെ മൃദുവായതു; ഹൃദയത്തിലോ യുദ്ധമത്രേ. അവന്റെ വാക്കുകള് എണ്ണയെക്കാള് മയമുള്ളവ; എങ്കിലും അവ ഊരിയ വാളുകള് ആയിരുന്നു.

21. The wordes of his mouth were softer then butter, yet warre was in his heart: his words were more gentle then oyle, yet they were swordes.

22. നിന്റെ ഭാരം യഹോവയുടെമേല് വെച്ചുകൊള്ക; അവന് നിന്നെ പുലര്ത്തും; നീതിമാന് കുലുങ്ങിപ്പോകുവാന് അവന് ഒരു നാളും സമ്മതിക്കയില്ല.

22. Cast thy burden vpon the Lord, and hee shall nourish thee: he wil not suffer the righteous to fall for euer.

23. ദൈവമേ, നീ അവരെ നാശത്തിന്റെ കുഴിയിലേക്കു ഇറക്കും; രക്തപ്രിയവും വഞ്ചനയും ഉള്ളവര് ആയുസ്സിന്റെ പകുതിയോളം ജീവിക്കയില്ല; ഞാനോ നിന്നില് ആശ്രയിക്കും. (സംഗീതപ്രമാണിക്കു; ദൂരസ്ഥന്മാരുടെ ഇടയില് മിണ്ടാത്ത പ്രാവു എന്ന രാഗത്തില്; ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു സ്വര്ണ്ണഗീതം; ഫെലിസ്ത്യര് അവനെ ഗത്തില് വെച്ചു പിടിച്ചപ്പോള് ചമെച്ചതു.)

23. And thou, O God, shalt bring them downe into the pitte of corruption: the bloudie, and deceitfull men shall not liue halfe their dayes: but I will trust in thee.
