1. മോവാബിനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള പ്രവാചകംഒരു രാത്രിയില് മോവാബിലെ ആര്പട്ടണം നശിച്ചു ശൂന്യമായിപ്പോയിരിക്കുന്നു; ഒരു രാത്രിയില് മോവാബിലെ കീര്പട്ടണം നശിച്ചു ശൂന്യമായിപ്പോയിരിക്കുന്നു.

1. The special word against Moab: Ar of Moab is destroyed and laid waste in a night. And in a night Kir of Moab is destroyed and laid waste.

2. ബയീത്തും ദീബോനും കരയേണ്ടതിന്നു പൂജാഗിരികളില് കയറിപ്പോയിരിക്കുന്നു; നെബോവിലും മേദെബയിലും മോവാബ് നിലവിളിക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ തലയൊക്കെയും മൊട്ടയടിച്ചും താടിയൊക്കെയും കത്രിച്ചും ഇരിക്കന്നു.

2. They have gone up to the house of worship and to Dibon. They have gone to the high places to cry. Moab cries over Nebo and Medeba. The hair has been cut from everyone's head and face.

3. അവരുടെ വീഥികളില് അവര് രട്ടുടുത്തു നടക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ പുരമുകളിലും വിശാലസ്ഥലങ്ങളിലും എല്ലാവരും മുറയിട്ടു കരയുന്നു.

3. In their streets they have dressed themselves with cloth made from hair. On the tops of their houses and in their open spaces everyone is crying with many tears.

4. ഹെശ്ബോനും എലെയാലെയും നിലവിളിക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ ഒച്ച യഹസ്വരെ കേള്ക്കുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ടു മോവാബിന്റെ ആയുധപാണികള് അലറുന്നു; അവന്റെ പ്രാണന് അവന്റെ ഉള്ളില് നടങ്ങുന്നു.

4. Heshbon and Elealeh cry out also. Their voice is heard as far as Jahaz. So the soldiers of Moab cry out. Moab's soul shakes within him.

5. എന്റെ ഹൃദയം മോവാബിനെക്കുറിച്ചു നിലവിളിക്കുന്നു; അതിലെ കുലീനന്മാര് സോവാരിലേക്കും എഗ്ളത്ത് ശെളീശീയയിലേക്കും ഔടിപ്പോകുന്നു ലൂഹീത്തിലേക്കുള്ള കയറ്റത്തില് കൂടി അവര് കരഞ്ഞുംകൊണ്ടു കയറിച്ചെല്ലുന്നു; ഹോരോനയീമിലേക്കുള്ള വഴിയില് അവര് നാശത്തിന്റെ നിലവിളി കൂട്ടുന്നു.

5. My heart cries out for Moab. His men have run away as far as Zoar and Eglath-shelishiyah. For they go up the hill of Luhith crying. On the road to Horonaim they cry in sorrow over their being destroyed.

6. നിമ്രീമിലെ ജലാശയങ്ങള് വരണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ടു പുല്ലുണങ്ങി, ഇളമ്പുല്ലു വാടി, പച്ചയായതൊക്കെയും ഇല്ലാതെയായിരിക്കുന്നു.

6. For the waters of Nimrim have been laid waste. The grass is dried up. The new grass died out. There is no green thing.

7. ആകയാല് അവര് സ്വരൂപിച്ച സമ്പത്തും സംഗ്രഹിച്ചുവെച്ചതും അലരിത്തോട്ടിന്നക്കരെക്കു എടുത്തു കൊണ്ടുപോകുന്നു.

7. So the many things they have gathered and stored up they carry away over the river of Arabim.

8. നിലവിളി മോവാബിന്റെ അതൃത്തികളെ ചുറ്റിയിരിക്കുന്നു; അലര്ച്ച എഗ്ളയീംവരെയും കൂക്കല് ബേര്-ഏലീംവരെയും എത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

8. The cry of sorrow has gone around the land of Moab. Its noise is heard as far as Eglaim and Beer-elim.

9. ദീമോനിലെ ജലാശയങ്ങള് രക്തംകൊണ്ടു നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് ദീമോന്റെ മേല് ഇതിലധികം വരുത്തും; മോവാബില്നിന്നു ചാടിപ്പോയവരുടെമേലും ദേശത്തില് ശേഷിച്ചവരുടെമേലും ഞാന് ഒരു സിംഹത്തെ വരുത്തും.

9. The waters of Dimon are full of blood. Yet I will bring more troubles to Dimon. I will bring a lion upon those of Moab who have run away, and upon the people of the land who are still alive.
