1. യെഖൊന്യാരാജാവും രാജമാതാവും ഷണ്ഡന്മാരും യെഹൂദയിലും യെരൂശലേമിലും ഉള്ള പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും ശില്പികളും കൊല്ലന്മാരും യെരൂശലേം വിട്ടു പോയശേഷം,

1. And it came to pass in that year, in the beginning of the reign of Sedecias king of Juda, in the fourth year, in the fifth month, that Hananias the son of Azur, a prophet of Gabaon spoke to me, in the house of the Lord before the priests, and all the people, saying:

2. യിരെമ്യാപ്രവാചകന് ബദ്ധന്മാരുടെ മൂപ്പന്മാരില് ശേഷിപ്പുള്ളവര്ക്കും പുരോഹിതന്മാര്ക്കും പ്രവാചകന്മാര്ക്കും നെബൂഖദ്നേസര് യെരൂശലേമില് നിന്നു ബാബേലിലേക്കു പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുപോയിരുന്ന സകലജനത്തിന്നും

2. Thus saith the Lord of hosts the God of Israel: I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon.

3. യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ സിദെക്കീയാവു ബാബേല്രാജാവായ നെബൂഖദ്നേസരിന്റെ അടുക്കല് ബാബേലിലേക്കു അയച്ച ശാഫാന്റെ മകനായ എലാസയുടെയും ഹില്ക്കീയാവിന്റെ മകനായ ഗെമര്യ്യാവിന്റെയും കൈവശം യെരൂശലേമില്നിന്നു കൊടുത്തയച്ചു ലേഖനത്തിലെ വിവരം എന്തെന്നാല്

3. As yet two years of days, and I will cause all the vessels of the house of the Lord to be brought back into this place, which Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon took away from this place, and carried them to Babylon.

4. യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ, താന് യെരൂശലേമില്നിന്നു ബാബേലിലേക്കു പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുപോകുമാറാക്കിയ സകലബദ്ധന്മാരോടും ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു

4. And I will bring back to this place Jechonias the son of Joakim king of Juda, and all the captives of Juda, that are gone to Babylon, saith the Lord: for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon.

5. നിങ്ങള് വീടുകളെ പണിതു പാര്പ്പിന് ; തോട്ടങ്ങളെ ഉണ്ടാക്കി ഫലം അനുഭവിപ്പിന് .

5. And Jeremias the prophet said to Hananias the prophet in the presence of the priests, and in the presence of all the people that stood in the house of the Lord:

6. ഭാര്യമാരെ പരിഗ്രഹിച്ചു പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും ജനിപ്പിപ്പിന് ; നിങ്ങള് അവിടെ കുറഞ്ഞുപോകാതെ പെരുകേണ്ടതിന്നു പുത്രന്മാര്ക്കും ഭാര്യമാരെ എടുക്കയും പുത്രിമാരെ പുരുഷന്മാര്ക്കും കൊടുക്കയും ചെയ്വിന് ; അവരും പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും ജനിപ്പിക്കട്ടെ.

6. And Jeremias the prophet said: Amen, the Lord do so: the Lord perform thy words, which thou hast prophesied: that the vessels may be brought again into the house of the Lord, and all the captives may return out of Babylon to this place.

7. ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ ബദ്ധന്മാരായി കൊണ്ടുപോകുമാറാക്കിയ പട്ടണത്തിന്റെ നന്മ അന്വേഷിച്ചു അതിന്നുവേണ്ടി യഹോവയോടു പ്രാര്ത്ഥിപ്പിന് ; അതിന്നു നന്മ ഉണ്ടെങ്കില് നിങ്ങള്ക്കും നന്മ ഉണ്ടാകും.

7. Nevertheless hear this word that I speak in thy ears, and in the ears of all the people:

8. യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുനിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിലുള്ള നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രവാചകന്മാരും പ്രശ്നക്കാരും നിങ്ങളെ ചതിക്കരുതു; നിങ്ങള് കാണുന്ന സ്വപ്നങ്ങളെ കൂട്ടാക്കുകയും അരുതു.

8. The prophets that have been before me, and before thee from the beginning, and have prophesied concerning many countries, and concerning great kingdoms, of war, and of affliction, and of famine.

9. അവര് എന്റെ നാമത്തില് നിങ്ങളോടു ഭോഷകു പ്രവചിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് അവരെ അയച്ചിട്ടില്ല എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

9. The prophet that prophesied peace when his word shall come to pass, the prophet shall be known, whom the Lord hath sent in truth.

10. യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുബാബേലിലെ എഴുപതു സംവത്സരം കഴിഞ്ഞശേഷമേ ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ സന്ദര്ശിച്ചു ഈ സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു മടക്കിവരുത്തുമെന്നു നിങ്ങളോടുള്ള എന്റെ വചനം ഞാന് നിവര്ത്തിക്കയുള്ളു.

10. And Hananias the prophet took the chain from the neck of Jeremias the prophet, and broke it.

11. നിങ്ങള് പ്രത്യാശിക്കുന്ന ശുഭഭാവി വരുവാന് തക്കവണ്ണം ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു നിരൂപിക്കുന്ന നിരൂപണങ്ങള് ഇന്നവ എന്നു ഞാന് അറിയുന്നു; അവ തിന്മെക്കല്ല നന്മെക്കത്രേയുള്ള നിരൂപണങ്ങള് എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

11. And Hananias spoke in the presence of all the people, saying: Thus saith the Lord: Even so will I break the yoke of Nabuchodonosor the king of Babylon after two full years from off the neck of all the nations.

12. നിങ്ങള് എന്നോടു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു എന്റെ സന്നിധിയില്വന്നു പ്രാര്ത്ഥിക്കയും ഞാന് നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥന കേള്ക്കയും ചെയ്യും

12. And Jeremias the prophet went his way. And the word of the Lord came to Jeremias, after that Hananias the prophet had broken the chain from off the neck of Jeremias the prophet, saying:

13. നിങ്ങള് എന്നെ അന്വെഷിക്കും; പൂര്ണ്ണഹൃദയത്തോടെ അന്വേഷിക്കുമ്പോള് നിങ്ങള് എന്നെ കണ്ടെത്തും.

13. Go, and tell Hananias: Thus saith the Lord: Thou hast broken chains of wood, and thou shalt make for them chains of iron.

14. നിങ്ങള് എന്നെ കണ്ടെത്തുവാന് ഞാന് ഇടയാക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു; ഞാന് നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രവാസം മാറ്റും; ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്ന സകലജാതികളില്നിന്നും എല്ലായിടങ്ങളിലുംനിന്നും നിങ്ങളെ ശേഖരിച്ചു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ വിട്ടുപോകുമാറാക്കിയ സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു തന്നേ മടക്കിവരുത്തും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

14. For thus saith the Lord of hosts the God of Israel: I have put a yoke of iron upon the neck of all these nations, to serve Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon, and they shall serve him: moreover also I have given him the beasts of the earth.

15. യഹോവ ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു ബാബേലില് പ്രവാചകന്മാരെ എഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങള് പറയുന്നുവല്ലോ.

15. And Jeremias the prophet said to Hananias the prophet: Hear now, Hananias: the Lord hath not sent thee, and thou hast made this people to trust in a lie.

16. ദാവീദിന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തില് ഇരിക്കുന്ന രാജാവിനെക്കുറിച്ചും ഈ നഗരത്തില് പാര്ക്കുംന്ന സകലജനത്തേയുംകുറിച്ചും നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ പ്രവാസത്തിലേക്കു വരാത്ത നിങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരെക്കുറിച്ചും യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.

16. Therefore thus saith the Lord: Behold I will send thee away from off the face of the earth: this year shalt thou die: for thou hast spoken against the Lord.

17. അതേ, സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഇതാ, ഞാന് അവര്ക്കും വാളും ക്ഷമവും മഹാമാരിയും അയച്ചു, എത്രയും ആകാത്തതും തിന്നുകൂടാതവണ്ണം ചീത്തയും ആയ അത്തപ്പഴത്തിന്നു അവരെ സമമാക്കും.

17. And Hananias the prophet died in that year, in the seventh month.
