1. യെഖൊന്യാരാജാവും രാജമാതാവും ഷണ്ഡന്മാരും യെഹൂദയിലും യെരൂശലേമിലും ഉള്ള പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും ശില്പികളും കൊല്ലന്മാരും യെരൂശലേം വിട്ടു പോയശേഷം,

1. And it came to pass in the fourth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the fifth month, [that] Hananiah the false prophet, the son of Azur, from Gibeon, spoke to me in the house of the Lord, in the sight of the priests and all the people, saying,

2. യിരെമ്യാപ്രവാചകന് ബദ്ധന്മാരുടെ മൂപ്പന്മാരില് ശേഷിപ്പുള്ളവര്ക്കും പുരോഹിതന്മാര്ക്കും പ്രവാചകന്മാര്ക്കും നെബൂഖദ്നേസര് യെരൂശലേമില് നിന്നു ബാബേലിലേക്കു പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുപോയിരുന്ന സകലജനത്തിന്നും

2. Thus says the Lord: I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon.

3. യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ സിദെക്കീയാവു ബാബേല്രാജാവായ നെബൂഖദ്നേസരിന്റെ അടുക്കല് ബാബേലിലേക്കു അയച്ച ശാഫാന്റെ മകനായ എലാസയുടെയും ഹില്ക്കീയാവിന്റെ മകനായ ഗെമര്യ്യാവിന്റെയും കൈവശം യെരൂശലേമില്നിന്നു കൊടുത്തയച്ചു ലേഖനത്തിലെ വിവരം എന്തെന്നാല്

3. Yet two full years, and I will return into this place the vessels of the house of the Lord,

4. യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ, താന് യെരൂശലേമില്നിന്നു ബാബേലിലേക്കു പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുപോകുമാറാക്കിയ സകലബദ്ധന്മാരോടും ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു

4. [with] Jeconiah, and the captivity of Judah; For I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon.

5. നിങ്ങള് വീടുകളെ പണിതു പാര്പ്പിന് ; തോട്ടങ്ങളെ ഉണ്ടാക്കി ഫലം അനുഭവിപ്പിന് .

5. Then Jeremiah spoke to Hananiah in the sight of all the people, and in the sight of the priests that stood in the house of the Lord,

6. ഭാര്യമാരെ പരിഗ്രഹിച്ചു പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും ജനിപ്പിപ്പിന് ; നിങ്ങള് അവിടെ കുറഞ്ഞുപോകാതെ പെരുകേണ്ടതിന്നു പുത്രന്മാര്ക്കും ഭാര്യമാരെ എടുക്കയും പുത്രിമാരെ പുരുഷന്മാര്ക്കും കൊടുക്കയും ചെയ്വിന് ; അവരും പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും ജനിപ്പിക്കട്ടെ.

6. and Jeremiah said, May the Lord indeed do thus; may He confirm your word which you prophesy, to return the vessels of the house of the Lord, and all the captivity, out of Babylon to this place.

7. ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ ബദ്ധന്മാരായി കൊണ്ടുപോകുമാറാക്കിയ പട്ടണത്തിന്റെ നന്മ അന്വേഷിച്ചു അതിന്നുവേണ്ടി യഹോവയോടു പ്രാര്ത്ഥിപ്പിന് ; അതിന്നു നന്മ ഉണ്ടെങ്കില് നിങ്ങള്ക്കും നന്മ ഉണ്ടാകും.

7. Nevertheless hear the word of the Lord which I speak in your ears, and in the ears of all the people:

8. യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുനിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിലുള്ള നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രവാചകന്മാരും പ്രശ്നക്കാരും നിങ്ങളെ ചതിക്കരുതു; നിങ്ങള് കാണുന്ന സ്വപ്നങ്ങളെ കൂട്ടാക്കുകയും അരുതു.

8. The prophets that were before me and before you of old, also prophesied over much country, and against great kingdoms, concerning war.

9. അവര് എന്റെ നാമത്തില് നിങ്ങളോടു ഭോഷകു പ്രവചിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് അവരെ അയച്ചിട്ടില്ല എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

9. [As for] the prophet that has prophesied for peace, when the word has come [to pass], they shall know the prophet whom the Lord has truly sent.

10. യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുബാബേലിലെ എഴുപതു സംവത്സരം കഴിഞ്ഞശേഷമേ ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ സന്ദര്ശിച്ചു ഈ സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു മടക്കിവരുത്തുമെന്നു നിങ്ങളോടുള്ള എന്റെ വചനം ഞാന് നിവര്ത്തിക്കയുള്ളു.

10. Then Hananiah took the yokes from the neck of Jeremiah in the sight of all the people, and broke them to pieces.

11. നിങ്ങള് പ്രത്യാശിക്കുന്ന ശുഭഭാവി വരുവാന് തക്കവണ്ണം ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു നിരൂപിക്കുന്ന നിരൂപണങ്ങള് ഇന്നവ എന്നു ഞാന് അറിയുന്നു; അവ തിന്മെക്കല്ല നന്മെക്കത്രേയുള്ള നിരൂപണങ്ങള് എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

11. And Hananiah spoke in the presence of all the people, saying, Thus said the Lord: Thus will I break the yoke of the king of Babylon from the necks of all the nations. And Jeremiah went his way.

12. നിങ്ങള് എന്നോടു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു എന്റെ സന്നിധിയില്വന്നു പ്രാര്ത്ഥിക്കയും ഞാന് നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥന കേള്ക്കയും ചെയ്യും

12. And the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah, after Hananiah had broken the yokes off his neck, saying,

13. നിങ്ങള് എന്നെ അന്വെഷിക്കും; പൂര്ണ്ണഹൃദയത്തോടെ അന്വേഷിക്കുമ്പോള് നിങ്ങള് എന്നെ കണ്ടെത്തും.

13. Go and speak to Hananiah, saying, Thus says the Lord: You have broken the yokes of wood, but I will make yokes of iron in their place.

14. നിങ്ങള് എന്നെ കണ്ടെത്തുവാന് ഞാന് ഇടയാക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു; ഞാന് നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രവാസം മാറ്റും; ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്ന സകലജാതികളില്നിന്നും എല്ലായിടങ്ങളിലുംനിന്നും നിങ്ങളെ ശേഖരിച്ചു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ വിട്ടുപോകുമാറാക്കിയ സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു തന്നേ മടക്കിവരുത്തും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

14. For thus said the Lord: I have put a yoke of iron on the neck of all the nations, that they may serve the king of Babylon.

15. യഹോവ ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു ബാബേലില് പ്രവാചകന്മാരെ എഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങള് പറയുന്നുവല്ലോ.

15. And Jeremiah said to Hananiah, The Lord has not sent you; and you have caused this people to trust in unrighteousness.

16. ദാവീദിന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തില് ഇരിക്കുന്ന രാജാവിനെക്കുറിച്ചും ഈ നഗരത്തില് പാര്ക്കുംന്ന സകലജനത്തേയുംകുറിച്ചും നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ പ്രവാസത്തിലേക്കു വരാത്ത നിങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരെക്കുറിച്ചും യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.

16. Therefore thus said the Lord: Behold, I [will] cast you off from the face of the earth- this year you shall die!

17. അതേ, സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഇതാ, ഞാന് അവര്ക്കും വാളും ക്ഷമവും മഹാമാരിയും അയച്ചു, എത്രയും ആകാത്തതും തിന്നുകൂടാതവണ്ണം ചീത്തയും ആയ അത്തപ്പഴത്തിന്നു അവരെ സമമാക്കും.

17. So he died in the seventh month.
