1. യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ സിദെക്കീയാവിന്റെ പത്താം ആണ്ടില്, നെബൂഖദ്നേസരിന്റെ പതിനെട്ടാം ആണ്ടില് തന്നേ, യഹോവയിങ്കല്നിന്നു യിരെമ്യാവിന്നുണ്ടായ അരുളപ്പാടു.

1. At that time, says Jehovah, I will be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be My people.

2. അന്നു ബാബേല്രാജാവിന്റെ സൈന്യം യെരൂശലേമിനെ നിരോധിച്ചിരുന്നു; യിരെമ്യാപ്രവാചകനോ യെഹൂദാരാജാവിന്റെ അരമനയുടെ കാവല്പുരമുറ്റത്തു അടെക്കപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു.

2. Thus says Jehovah, The people who were survivors of the sword have found grace in the wilderness; even Israel, when I go to give him rest.

3. ഞാന് ഈ നഗരത്തെ ബാബേല്രാജാവിന്റെ കയ്യില് ഏല്പിക്കും; അവന് അതിനെ പിടിക്കും എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നും

3. Jehovah has appeared to me from afar, saying, Yea, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.

4. യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ സിദെക്കീയാവു കല്ദയരുടെ കയ്യില്നിന്നു ഒഴിഞ്ഞുപോകാതെ, ബാബേല്രാജാവിന്റെ കയ്യില് ഏല്പിക്കപ്പെടും; അവന് ഇവനുമായി വായോടുവായ് സംസാരിക്കയും കണ്ണോടുകണ്ണു കാണുകയും ചെയ്യും;

4. Again I will build you, and you shall be built, O virgin of Israel. You shall again put on your tambourines, and shall go forth in the dances of those who rejoice.

5. അവന് സിദെക്കീയാവെ ബാബേലിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോകും; ഞാന് അവനെ സന്ദര്ശിക്കുംവരെ അവന് അവിടെ ഇരിക്കും; നിങ്ങള് കല്ദയരോടു യുദ്ധംചെയ്താലും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു സാദ്ധ്യം ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എന്നും നീ പ്രവചിപ്പാന് എന്തു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ സിദെക്കീയാവു അവനെ അവിടെ അടെച്ചിരുന്നു.

5. You shall yet plant vines on the mountains of Samaria; the planters shall plant, and shall eat them as common food.

6. യിരെമ്യാവു പറഞ്ഞതുയഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എനിക്കുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാല്

6. For there shall be a day that the watchmen on Mount Ephraim shall cry, Arise and let us go up to Zion unto Jehovah our God!

7. നിന്റെ ഇളയപ്പനായ ശല്ലൂമിന്റെ മകന് ഹനമെയേല് നിന്റെ അടുക്കല് വന്നുഅനാഥേത്തിലെ എന്റെ നിലം മേടിച്ചുകൊള്ക; അതു മേടിപ്പാന് തക്കവണ്ണം വീണ്ടെടുപ്പിന്റെ അവകാശം നിനക്കുള്ളതല്ലോ എന്നു പറയും.

7. For thus says Jehovah, Sing with gladness for Jacob, and shout among the chief of the nations. Cry out, give praise and say, O Jehovah, save Your people, the remnant of Israel!

8. യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുപോലെ എന്റെ ഇളയപ്പന്റെ മകന് ഹനമെയേല് കാവല്പുരമുറ്റത്തു എന്റെ അടുക്കല് വന്നുബെന്യാമീന് ദേശത്തു അനാഥോത്തിലെ എന്റെ നിലം മേടിക്കേണമേ; അവകാശം നിനക്കുള്ളതല്ലോ, വീണ്ടെടുപ്പും നിനക്കുള്ളതു; നീ അതു മേടിച്ചുകൊള്ളേണം എന്നു എന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞു അതു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എന്നു ഞാന് ഗ്രഹിച്ചു.

8. Behold, I will bring them from the land of the north and gather them from the recesses of the earth, and with them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and she who is in labor with child, together; a great company shall return there.

9. അങ്ങനെ ഞാന് ഇളയപ്പന്റെ മകന് ഹനമെയേലിനോടു അനാഥോത്തിലെ നിലം മേടിച്ചു, വില പതിനേഴു ശേക്കെല് വെള്ളി തൂക്കിക്കൊടുത്തു.

9. They shall come with weeping, and with supplications I will lead them. I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters in a straight way; they shall not stumble in it, for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is My firstborn.

10. ആധാരം എഴുതി മുദ്രയിട്ടു സാക്ഷികളെക്കൊണ്ടു ഒപ്പിടുവിച്ച ശേഷം ഞാന് പണം അവന്നു തുലാസില് തൂക്കിക്കൊടുത്തു.

10. Hear the Word of Jehovah, O nations, and declare it on distant shores; and say, He who scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him as a shepherd keeps his flock.

11. ഇങ്ങനെ ന്യായവും പതിവും അനുസരിച്ചു മുദ്രയിട്ടിരുന്നതും തുറന്നിരുന്നതുമായ ആധാരങ്ങള് ഞാന് വാങ്ങി,

11. For Jehovah has redeemed Jacob, and ransomed him from the hand of the one stronger than him.

12. ഇളയപ്പന്റെ മകനായ ഹനമെയേലും ആധാരത്തില് ഒപ്പിട്ടിരുന്ന സാക്ഷികളും കാവല്പുരമുറ്റത്തു ഇരുന്നിരുന്ന യെഹൂദന്മാരൊക്കെയും കാണ്കെ ആധാരം മഹസേയാവിന്റെ മകനായ നേര്യ്യാവിന്റെ മകന് ബാരൂക്കിന്റെ പക്കല് കൊടുത്തു.

12. Therefore they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, and shall flow together to the goodness of Jehovah, for wheat, and for wine, and for oil, and for the young of the flock and the herd. And their souls shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not languish any more at all.

13. അവര് കേള്ക്കെ ഞാന് ബാരൂക്കിനോടു കല്പിച്ചതെന്തെന്നാല്

13. Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, and the young men and old together; for I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them and make them rejoice from their sorrow.

14. യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുമുദ്രയിട്ടിരിക്കുന്നതും തുറന്നിരിക്കുന്നതുമായ ഈ ആധാരങ്ങളെ മേടിച്ചു അവ ഏറിയകാലം നില്പാന്തക്കവണ്ണം ഒരു മണ്പാത്രത്തില് വെക്കുക.

14. And I will satiate the soul of the priests with fatness, and My people shall be satisfied with My goodness, says Jehovah.

15. ഇനിയും ഈ ദേശത്തു വീടുകളും നിലങ്ങളും മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടങ്ങളും ക്രയവിക്രയം ചെയ്യും എന്നു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.

15. Thus says Jehovah: A voice was heard in Ramah, wailing and bitter weeping; Rachel weeping for her children; she refuses to be comforted for her children, because they are not.

16. അങ്ങനെ ആധാരം നേര്യ്യാവിന്റെ മകനായ ബാരൂക്കിന്റെ പക്കല് ഏല്പിച്ചശേഷം, ഞാന് യഹോവയോടു പ്രാര്ത്ഥിച്ചതു എന്തെന്നാല്

16. Thus says Jehovah: Refrain your voice from weeping and your eyes from tears; for your work shall be rewarded, says Jehovah. And they shall come back from the land of the enemy.

17. അയ്യോ, യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവേ, നിന്റെ മഹാശക്തികൊണ്ടും നീട്ടിയ ഭുജം കൊണ്ടും നീ ആകാശത്തെയും ഭൂമിയെയും ഉണ്ടാക്കി; നിനക്കു അസാദ്ധ്യമായതു ഒന്നുമില്ല.

17. And there is hope for your future, says Jehovah, that your children shall come back to their own territory.

18. നീ ആയിരം തലമുറയോളം ദയകാണിക്കയും പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ അകൃത്യത്തിന്നു അവരുടെ ശേഷം അവരുടെ മക്കളുടെ മാര്വ്വിടത്തില് പകരം കൊടുക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു; മഹത്വവും വല്ലഭത്വവുമുള്ള ദൈവമേ, സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ എന്നല്ലോ നിന്റെ നാമം.

18. I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself, saying, You have chastised me, and I was chastised, like an untrained bull; draw me back, and I shall return. For You are Jehovah my God.

19. നീ ആലോചനയില് വലിയവനും പ്രവൃത്തിയില് ശക്തിമാനും ആകുന്നു; ഔരോരുത്തന്നു അവനവന്റെ നടപ്പിന്നും പ്രവൃത്തികളുടെ ഫലത്തിന്നും തക്കവണ്ണം കൊടുക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ മനുഷ്യരുടെ എല്ലാവഴികളിന്മേലും ദൃഷ്ടിവെക്കുന്നു.

19. Surely after I was turned back, I repented; and after I was instructed, I struck my thigh. I was ashamed, yes, even humiliated, because I bore the reproach of my youth.

20. നീ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തും ഇന്നുവരെയും യിസ്രായേലിലും മറ്റു മനുഷ്യരുടെ ഇടയിലും അടയാളങ്ങളും അത്ഭുതങ്ങളും പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചു ഇന്നുള്ളതുപോലെ നിനക്കു ഒരു നാമം സമ്പാദിക്കുകയും

20. Is Ephraim My dear son? Is he a delightful child? For as often as I spoke against him, I call to mind and remember him still. Therefore My heart is stirred for him; I will have mercy and compassion upon him, says Jehovah.

21. നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിനെ അടയാളങ്ങള്കൊണ്ടും അത്ഭുതങ്ങള്കൊണ്ടും ബലമുള്ള കൈകൊണ്ടും നീട്ടിയ ഭുജംകൊണ്ടും മഹാഭീതികൊണ്ടും മിസ്രയീം ദേശത്തുനിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവരികയും

21. Set up signposts, make landmarks for yourself. Set your heart toward the highway, the way you went. Turn back, O virgin of Israel, turn back to these cities of yours.

22. അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാര്ക്കും കൊടുപ്പാന് നീ അവരോടു സത്യം ചെയ്തതായി പാലും തേനും ഒഴുകുന്ന ഈ ദേശത്തെ അവര്ക്കും കൊടുക്കയും ചെയ്തു.

22. How long will you vacillate, O backsliding daughter? For Jehovah has created a new thing in the earth; a woman shall contain a man.

23. അവര് അതില് കടന്നു അതിനെ കൈവശമാക്കി; എങ്കിലും അവര് നിന്റെ വാക്കു അനുസരിക്കയോ നിന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണം പോലെ നടക്കയോ ചെയ്തില്ല; ചെയ്വാന് നീ അവരോടു കല്പിച്ചതൊന്നും അവര് ചെയ്തില്ല; അതുകൊണ്ടു ഈ അനര്ത്ഥം ഒക്കെയും നീ അവര്ക്കും വരുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

23. Thus says Jehovah of Hosts, the God of Israel, They shall speak this word in the land of Judah and in its cities, when I shall bring back their captives, saying, Jehovah bless you, O habitation of justice and mountain of holiness.

24. ഇതാ, വാടകള്! നഗരത്തെ പിടിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു! വാളും ക്ഷാമവും മഹാമാരിയും ഹേതുവായി ഈ നഗരം അതിന്നു നേരെ യുദ്ധം ചെയ്യുന്ന കല്ദയരുടെ കയ്യില് ഏല്പിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; നീ അരുളിചെയ്തതു സംഭവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; നീ അതു കാണുന്നുവല്ലോ.

24. And farmers, and those going forth with flocks, shall dwell together in Judah and in all its cities.

25. യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവേ, നഗരം കല്ദയരുടെ കയ്യില് ഏല്പിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കെ, നിലം വിലെക്കു മേടിച്ചു അതിന്നു സാക്ഷികളെ വേക്കുവാന് നീ എന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചുവല്ലോ.

25. For I have satiated the weary soul, and I have satisfied every sorrowful soul.

26. അപ്പോള് യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു യിരെമ്യാവിന്നുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാല്

26. After this I awoke and looked around; and my sleep was sweet to me.

27. ഞാന് സകലജഡത്തിന്റെയും ദൈവമായ യഹോവയാകുന്നു; എനിക്കു കഴിയാത്ത വല്ല കാര്യവും ഉണ്ടോ?

27. Behold, the days are coming, says Jehovah, that I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man and with the seed of beasts.

28. അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഞാന് ഈ നഗരത്തെ കല്ദയരുടെ കയ്യിലും ബാബേല്രാജാവായ നെബൂഖദ്നേസരിന്റെ കയ്യിലും ഏല്പിക്കും; അവന് അതിനെ പിടിക്കും.

28. And it shall come to pass that, as I have watched over them to pluck up, and to break down, and to throw down, and to destroy, and to afflict; so I will watch over them to build and to plant, says Jehovah.

29. ഈ നഗരത്തിന്റെ നേരെ യുദ്ധം ചെയ്യുന്ന കല്ദയര് കടന്നു നഗരത്തിന്നു തീ വെച്ചു അതിനെ, എന്നെ കോപിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു മേല്പുരകളില്വെച്ചു ബാലിന്നു ധൂപംകാട്ടി അന്യദേവന്മാര്ക്കും പാനീയ ബലി പകര്ന്നിരിക്കുന്ന വീടുകളോടുകൂടെ ചുട്ടുകളയും.

29. In those days they shall not say any more, The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the teeth of the children are dull.

30. യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളും യെഹൂദാമക്കളും ബാല്യംമുതല് എനിക്കു അനിഷ്ടമായുള്ളതു മാത്രം ചെയ്തുവന്നു; യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് തങ്ങളുടെ കൈകളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികള്കൊണ്ടു എന്നെ കോപിപ്പിച്ചതേയുള്ളു എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

30. But every man shall die for his own iniquity. Every man who eats the sour grapes, his teeth shall be dull.

31. അവര് ഈ നഗരത്തെ പാണിത നാള്മുതല് ഇന്നുവരെയും ഞാന് അതിനെ എന്റെ മുമ്പില്നിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളയത്തക്കവണ്ണം അതു എനിക്കു കോപവും ക്രോധവും വരുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

31. Behold, the days are coming, says Jehovah, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah,

32. എന്നെ കോപിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളും യെഹൂദാമക്കളും അവരുടെ രാജാക്കന്മാരും പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും പുരോഹിതന്മാരും പ്രവാചകന്മാരും യെഹൂദാപുരുഷന്മാരും യെരൂശലേംനിവാസികളും ചെയ്ത സകലദോഷവുംനിമിത്തം തന്നേ.

32. not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; My covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them, says Jehovah.

33. അവര് മുഖമല്ല, പുറമത്രേ എങ്കലേക്കു തിരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതു; ഞാന് ഇടവിടാതെ അവരെ ഉപദേശിച്ചു പഠിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടും ഉപദേശം കൈക്കൊള്വാന് അവര് മനസ്സുവെച്ചില്ല.

33. But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel: After those days, says Jehovah, I will put My Law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.

34. എന്റെ നാമം വിളിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ആലയത്തെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കുവാന് തക്കവണ്ണം അവര് അതില് മ്ളേച്ഛവിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ പ്രതിഷ്ഠിച്ചു.

34. And they shall no more teach each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, Know Jehovah; for they shall all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says Jehovah. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.

35. മോലെക്കിന്നു തങ്ങളുടെ പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും ദഹിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവര് ബെന് ഹിന്നോം താഴ്വരയില് ബാലിന്റെ പൂജാഗിരികളെ പണിതു; ഈ മ്ളേച്ചതകളെ പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചു യെഹൂദയെക്കൊണ്ടു പാപം ചെയ്യിപ്പാന് ഞാന് അവരോടു കല്പിച്ചിട്ടില്ല; എന്റെ മനസ്സില് അതു തോന്നീട്ടുമില്ല.

35. Thus says Jehovah, who gives the sun for a light by day and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, who stirs up the sea when its waves roar (Jehovah of Hosts is His name);

36. ഇപ്പോള്, വാള്, ക്ഷാമം, മഹാമാരി എന്നിവയാല് ബാബേല്രാജാവിന്റെ കയ്യില് ഏല്പിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങള് പറയുന്ന ഈ നഗരത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു;

36. if those ordinances depart from My presence, says Jehovah, then the seed of Israel shall also cease from being a nation before Me forever.

37. എന്റെ കോപത്തിലും ക്രോധത്തിലും മഹാരോഷത്തിലും ഞാന് അവരെ നീക്കക്കളഞ്ഞ സകലദേശങ്ങളില്നിന്നും ഞാന് അവരെ ശേഖരിക്കും; ഞാന് അവരെ ഈ സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു മടക്കിവരുത്തി അതില് നിര്ഭയമായി വസിക്കുമാറാക്കും;

37. Thus says Jehovah, If the heavens above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth below can be searched out, then I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, says Jehovah.

38. അവര് എനിക്കു ജനമായും ഞാന് അവര്ക്കും ദൈവമായും ഇരിക്കും.

38. Behold, the days are coming, says Jehovah, that the city shall be built to Jehovah from the Tower of Hananel to the Corner Gate.

39. അവര്ക്കും അവരുടെ ശേഷം അവരുടെ മക്കള്ക്കും ഗണംവരത്തക്കവണ്ണം അവര് എന്നെ എന്നേക്കും ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന് അവര്ക്കും ഏകമനസ്സും ഏകമാര്ഗ്ഗവും കൊടുക്കും.

39. And the measuring line shall come out to the hill Gareb, and shall go around to Goath.

40. ഞാന് അവരെ വിട്ടുപിരിയാതെ അവര്ക്കും നന്മ ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കും എന്നിങ്ങനെ ഞാന് അവരോടു ഒരു ശാശ്വതനിയമം ചെയ്യും; അവര് എന്നെ വിട്ടുമാറാതെയിരിപ്പാന് എങ്കലുള്ള ഭക്തി ഞാന് അവരുടെ ഹൃദയത്തില് ആക്കും.

40. And the whole valley of the dead bodies and of the ashes, and all the fields as far as the Kidron Valley, to the corner of the Horse Gate toward the east, shall be holy to Jehovah. It shall not be plucked up nor thrown down any more forever.
