1. യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എനിക്കുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാല്

1. Thus the word of the LORD came to me:

2. മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, നിന്റെ മുഖം യെരൂശലേമിന്നു നേരെ തിരിച്ചു വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തിന്നു വിരോധമായി പ്രസംഗിച്ചു യിസ്രായേല്ദേശത്തിന്നു വിരോധമായി പ്രവചിച്ചു യിസ്രായേല്ദേശത്തോടു പറയേണ്ടതു

2. Son of man, look southward, preach toward the south, and prophesy against the forest of the southern land.

3. യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഞാന് നിന്റെ നേരെ പുറപ്പെട്ടു എന്റെ വാള് ഉറയില്നിന്നു ഊരി നീതിമാനെയും ദുഷ്ടനെയും നിന്നില്നിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചുകളയും.

3. Hear the word of the LORD! you shall say to the southern forest. Thus says the Lord GOD: See! I am kindling a fire in you that shall devour all trees, the green as well as the dry. The blazing flame shall not be quenched, but from south to north every face shall be scorched by it.

4. ഞാന് നീതിമാനെയും ദുഷ്ടനെയും നിന്നില്നിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചുകളവാന് പോകുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു, തെക്കുമുതല് വടക്കുവരെ സകലജഡത്തിന്നും വിരോധമായി എന്റെ വാള് ഉറയില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെടും.

4. Everyone shall see that I, the LORD, have kindled it, and it shall not be quenched.

5. യഹോവയായ ഞാന് എന്റെ വാള് ഉറയില്നിന്നു ഊരിയെന്നു സകലജഡവും അറിയും.

5. But I said, 'Alas! Lord GOD, they say to me, 'Is not this the one who is forever spinning parables?''

6. അതു ഇനി മടങ്ങിപ്പോരികയില്ല. നീയോ, മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, നിന്റെ നടു ഒടികെ നെടുവീര്പ്പിടുക; അവര് കാണ്കെ കഠിനമായി നെടുവീര്പ്പിടുക.

6. Then the word of the LORD came to me:

7. എന്തിന്നു നെടുവീര്പ്പിടുന്നു എന്നു അവര് നിന്നോടു ചോദിച്ചാല് നീ ഉത്തരം പറയേണ്ടതുഒരു വര്ത്തമാനംനിമിത്തം തന്നേ; അതു സംഭവിക്കുമ്പോള് സകലഹൃദയവും ഉരുകിപ്പോകും, എല്ലാകൈകളും കുഴഞ്ഞുപോകും, ഏതു മനസ്സും കലങ്ങിപ്പോകും; എല്ലാ മുഴങ്കാലും വെള്ളംപോലെ ഒഴുകിപ്പോകും; അതു വന്നു കഴിഞ്ഞു എന്നു യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

7. Son of man, look toward Jerusalem, preach against their sanctuary, and prophesy against the land of Israel,

8. യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എനിക്കുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാല്

8. saying to the land of Israel: Thus says the LORD: See! I am coming at you; I will draw my sword from its sheath and cut off from you the virtuous and the wicked.

9. മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, നീ പ്രവചിച്ചു പറയേണ്ടതുയഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഒരു വാള്; ഒരു വാള്; അതു മൂര്ച്ചകൂട്ടി മിനുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറക.

9. Thus my sword shall leave its sheath against everyone from south to north,

10. കുല നടത്തുവാന് അതിന്നു മൂര്ച്ചകൂട്ടിയിരിക്കുന്നു; മിന്നുവാന് തക്കവണ്ണം അതിനെ മിനുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; അല്ലെങ്കില് നമുക്കു സന്തോഷിക്കാമോ? അതു എന്റെ മകന്റെ ചെങ്കോലിനെയും സകലവൃക്ഷത്തെയും നിരസിക്കുന്നു.

10. and everyone shall know that I, the LORD, have drawn my sword from its sheath, and it shall not be sheathed again.

11. ഉപയോഗിപ്പാന് തക്കവണ്ണം അവന് അതു മിനുക്കുവാന് കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; കൊല്ലുന്നവന്റെ കയ്യില് കൊടുപ്പാന് ഈ വാള് മൂര്ച്ചകൂട്ടി മിനുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

11. As for you, son of man, groan! with shattered strength groan bitterly while they look on.

12. മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, നിലവിളിച്ചു മുറയിടുക! അതു എന്റെ ജനത്തിന്മേലും യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സകലപ്രഭുക്കന്മാരുടെ മേലും വരും അവര് എന്റെ ജനത്തോടുകൂടെ വാളിന്നു ഏല്പിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരാകുന്നു; ആകയാല് നീ തുടയില് അടിക്ക.

12. And when they ask you, 'Why are you groaning?', you shall say: Because of a report; when it comes every heart shall fail, every hand shall fall helpless, every spirit shall be daunted, and every knee shall run with water. See, it is coming, it is here! says the Lord GOD.

13. അതൊരു പരീക്ഷയല്ലോ; എന്നാല് നിരസിക്കുന്ന ചെങ്കോല് തന്നേ ഇല്ലാതെപോയാല് എന്തു എന്നു യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

13. Thus the word of the LORD came to me:

14. നീയോ മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, പ്രവചിച്ചു കൈകൊട്ടുക; വാള്, നിഹതന്മാരുടെ വാള് തന്നേ, മുമ്മടങ്ങായി ഭവിക്കട്ടെ; നിഹതന്റെ വലിയ വാള് അവരെ ചുറ്റുന്നു.

14. Son of man, prophesy! say: Thus says the LORD: A sword, a sword has been sharpened, a sword, a sword has been burnished:

15. അവരുടെ ഹൃദയം ഉരുകിപ്പോകേണ്ടതിന്നും അവരില് പട്ടുപോയവര് പെരുകേണ്ടതിന്നും ഞാന് വാളിന് മുനയെ അവരുടെ എല്ലാ വാതിലുകള്ക്കും നേരെ വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അയ്യോ, അതു മിന്നല്പോലെയിരിക്കുന്നു; അതു കുലെക്കായി കൂര്പ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

15. To work slaughter has it been sharpened, to flash lightning has it been burnished. Why should I now withdraw it? You have spurned the rod and every judgment!

16. പുറകോട്ടോ ഇടത്തോട്ടോ വലത്തോട്ടോ നിന്റെ വായ്ത്തല തിരിയുന്നെടത്തേക്കു തന്നേ പുറപ്പെടുക.

16. I have given it over to the burnisher that he might hold it in his hand, A sword sharpened and burnished to be put in the hand of a slayer.

17. ഞാനും കൈ കൊട്ടി, എന്റെ ക്രോധത്തെ ശമിപ്പിക്കും; യഹോവയായ ഞാന് അതു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

17. Cry out and wail, son of man, for it is destined for my people; It is for all the princes of Israel, victims of the sword with my people. Therefore, slap your thigh,

18. യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എനിക്കുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാല്

18. for the sword has been tested; and why should it not be so? says the Lord GOD, since you have spurned the rod.

19. മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, ബാബേല് രാജാവിന്റെ വാള് വരേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ രണ്ടു വഴി നിയമിക്ക; രണ്ടും ഒരു ദേശത്തുനിന്നു തന്നേ പുറപ്പെടേണം; ഒരു കൈചൂണ്ടി ഉണ്ടാക്കി നഗരത്തിലേക്കുള്ള വഴിയുടെ തലെക്കല് നാട്ടുക.

19. As for you, son of man, prophesy, brushing one hand against the other: While the sword is doubled and tripled, this sword of slaughter, This great sword of slaughter which threatens all around,

20. അങ്ങനെ വാള് അമ്മോന്യരുടെ രബ്ബയിലും യെഹൂദയില് ഉറപ്പുള്ള യെരൂശലേമിലും വരേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ വഴി നിയമിക്ക.

20. That every heart may tremble; for many will be the fallen. At all their gates I have appointed the sword for slaughter, Fashioned to flash lightning, burnished for slaughter.

21. ബാബേല്രാജാവു ഇരുവഴിത്തലെക്കല്, വഴിത്തിരിവിങ്കല് തന്നേ, പ്രശ്നം നോക്കുവാന് നിലക്കുന്നു; അവന് തന്റെ അമ്പുകളെ കുലുക്കി കുലദേവന്മാരോടു ചോദിക്കയും കരള് നോക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

21. Cleave to the right! destroy! to the left! wherever your edge is turned.

22. യന്ത്രമുട്ടികളെ വെക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും വന് കുലെക്കായി വായ്പിളര്ന്നു ആര്പ്പുവിളിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും വാതിലുകളുടെ നേരെ യന്ത്രമുട്ടികളെ വെക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും വാട കോരി കൊത്തളം പണിയേണ്ടതിന്നും യെരൂശലേമിനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള പ്രശ്നം അവന്റെ വലങ്കയ്യില് വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

22. Then I, too, shall brush one hand against the other and wreak my fury. I, the LORD, have spoken.

23. എന്നാല് അതു അവര്ക്കും വ്യാജലക്ഷണമായി തോന്നുന്നു; അവര് ആണ ഇടുവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ; എന്നാല് അവര് പിടിക്കപ്പെടേണ്ടതിന്നു അവര് അകൃത്യം ഔര്പ്പിക്കുന്നു.

23. Thus the word of the LORD came to me:

24. അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുനിങ്ങളുടെ സകലപ്രവൃത്തികളിലും നിങ്ങളുടെ പാപങ്ങള് പ്രത്യക്ഷമാകത്തക്കവണ്ണം നിങ്ങളുടെ അതിക്രമങ്ങള് വെളിപ്പെട്ടുവരുന്നതിനാല് നിങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളുടെ അകൃത്യം ഔര്പ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടും നിങ്ങളെയും ഔര്ത്തിരിക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടും നിങ്ങളെ കയ്യാല് പിടിക്കും.

24. Son of man, make for yourself two roads over which the sword of the king of Babylon can come. Both roads shall lead out from the same land. Then put a signpost at the head of each road,

25. നിഹതനും ദുഷ്ടനുമായി യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പ്രഭുവായുള്ളോവേ, അന്ത്യാകൃത്യത്തിന്റെ കാലത്തു നിന്റെ നാള് വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

25. so that the sword can come to Rabbah of the Ammonites or to Judah's capital, Jerusalem.

26. യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഞാന് മകുടം നീക്കി കിരീടം എടുത്തുകളയും; അതു അങ്ങനെ ഇരിക്കയില്ല; ഞാന് താണതിനെ ഉയര്ത്തുകയും ഉയര്ന്നതിനെ താഴ്ത്തുകയും ചെയ്യും.

26. For at the fork where the two roads divide stands the king of Babylon, divining; he has shaken the arrows, inquired of the teraphim, inspected the liver.

27. ഞാന് അതിന്നു ഉന്മൂലനാശം, ഉന്മൂലനാശം, ഉന്മൂലനാശം വരുത്തും; അതിന്നു അവകാശമുള്ളവന് വരുവോളം അതു ഇല്ലാതെയിരിക്കും; അവന്നു ഞാന് അതു കൊടുക്കും.

27. In his right hand is the divining arrow marked 'Jerusalem,' bidding him to give the order for slaying, to raise his voice in the battle cry, to post battering rams at the gates, to cast up a ramp, to build a siege tower.

28. മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, നീ പ്രവചിച്ചു പറയേണ്ടതുഅമ്മോന്യരെക്കുറിച്ചും അവരുടെ നിന്ദയെക്കുറിച്ചും യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു

28. In their eyes this is but a lying oracle; yet they are bound by the oaths they have sworn, and the arrow taken in hand marks their guilt.

29. അന്ത്യാകൃത്യത്തിന്റെ കാലത്തു, നാള് വന്നവരായി ദുഷ്ടന്മാരായ നിഹതന്മാരുടെ കഴുത്തില് വെക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവര് നിനക്കു വ്യാജം ദര്ശിക്കുന്ന നേരത്തും നിനക്കു ഭോഷകുലക്ഷണം പറയുന്ന നേരത്തും ഒരു വാള്, ഒരു വാള് ഊരിയിരിക്കുന്നു; അതു മിന്നല്പോലെ മിന്നേണ്ടതിന്നും തിന്നുകളയേണ്ടതിന്നും കുലെക്കായി മിനുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറക.

29. Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: Because you have drawn attention to your guilt, with your crimes laid bare and your sinfulness in all your wicked deeds revealed (because attention has been drawn to you), you shall be taken in hand.

30. അതിനെ ഉറയില് ഇടുക; നീ സൃഷ്ടിക്കപ്പെട്ട സ്ഥലത്തു, നിന്റെ ജന്മദേശത്തു തന്നേ ഞാന് നിന്നെ ന്യായം വിധിക്കും,

30. And as for you, depraved and wicked prince of Israel, whose day is coming when your life of crime will be ended,

31. ഞാന് എന്റെ ക്രോധം നിന്റെമേല് പകര്ന്നു എന്റെ കോപാഗ്നി നിന്റെമേല് ഊതി, മൃഗപ്രായരും നശിപ്പിപ്പാന് മിടുക്കന്മാരുമായ മനുഷ്യരുടെ കയ്യില് നിന്നെ ഏല്പിക്കും.

31. thus says the Lord GOD: Off with the turban and away with the crown! Nothing shall be as it was! Up with the low and down with the high!

32. നീ തീക്കിരയായ്തീരും; നിന്റെ രക്തം നിന്റെ ദേശത്തിന്റെ നടുവില് ഇരിക്കും; നിന്നെ ഇനി ആരും ഔര്ക്കയില്ല; യഹോവയായ ഞാന് അതു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

32. Twisted, twisted, twisted will I leave it; it shall not be the same until he comes who has the claim against the city; and to him I will hand it over.
