1. പത്താം ആണ്ടു, പത്താം മാസം, പന്ത്രണ്ടാം തിയ്യതി യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എനിക്കുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാല്

1. On the twelfth day of the tenth month of the tenth year of exile, the word of the Lord God came to me. He said,

2. മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, നീ മിസ്രയീംരാജാവായ ഫറവോന്റെ നേരെ മുഖംതിരിച്ചു അവനെക്കുറിച്ചും എല്ലാ മിസ്രയീമിനെക്കുറിച്ചും പ്രവചിച്ചു പറയേണ്ടതെന്തെന്നാല്

2. Son of man, look toward Pharaoh, king of Egypt. Speak for me against him and Egypt.

3. യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുമിസ്രയീംരാജാവായ ഫറവോനേ, തന്റെ നദികളുടെ നടുവില് കിടന്നുഈ നദി എനിക്കുള്ളതാകുന്നു; ഞാന് അതിനെ എനിക്കായിട്ടുണ്ടാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറയുന്ന മഹാനക്രമേ, ഞാന് നിനക്കു വിരോധമായിരിക്കുന്നു.

3. Say, 'This is what the Lord God says: ''I am against you, Pharaoh, king of Egypt. You are the great monster lying beside the Nile River. You say, 'This is my river! I made this river!'

4. ഞാന് നിന്റെ ചെകിളയില് ചൂണ്ടല് കൊളുത്തി നിന്റെ നദികളിലെ മത്സ്യങ്ങളെ നിന്റെ ചെതുമ്പലില് പറ്റുമാറാക്കി നിന്നെ നിന്റെ നദികളുടെ നടുവില്നിന്നു വലിച്ചുകയറ്റും; നിന്റെ നദികളിലെ മത്സ്യം ഒക്കെയും നിന്റെ ചെതുമ്പലില് പറ്റിയിരിക്കും.

4. 'But I will put hooks in your jaws. The fish in the Nile River will stick to your scales. I will pull you and your fish up out of your rivers and onto the dry land. You will fall on the ground, and no one will pick you up or bury you. I will give you to the wild animals and birds. You will be their food.

5. ഞാന് നിന്നെയും നിന്റെ നദികളിലെ മത്സ്യങ്ങളെ ഒക്കെയും മരുഭൂമിയില് എറിഞ്ഞുകളയും; നീ വെളിന് പ്രദേശത്തു വീഴും; ആരും നിന്നെ പെറുക്കുകയോ ശേഖരിക്കയോ ചെയ്കയില്ല; ഞാന് നിന്നെ കാട്ടുമൃഗങ്ങള്ക്കും ആകാശത്തിലെ പക്ഷികള്ക്കും ഇരയായി കൊടുക്കും.

6. Then all the people living in Egypt will know that I am the Lord! ''Why will I do these things? Because the people of Israel leaned on Egypt for support, but Egypt was only a weak blade of grass.

7. അവര് നിന്നെ കയ്യില് പിടിച്ചപ്പോഴേക്കു നീ ഒടിഞ്ഞു അവരുടെ തോള് ഒക്കെയും കീറിക്കളഞ്ഞു; അവര് ഊന്നിയപ്പോഴേക്കു നീ ഒടിഞ്ഞു അവരുടെ നടുവൊക്കെയും കുലുങ്ങുമാറാക്കി.

7. The people of Israel leaned on Egypt for support, but Egypt only pierced their hands and shoulder. They leaned on you for support, but you broke and twisted their back.''

8. അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഞാന് നിന്റെ നേരെ വാള് വരുത്തി നിങ്കല്നിന്നു മനുഷ്യനെയും മൃഗത്തെയും ഛേദിച്ചുകളയും.

8. So this is what the Lord God says: 'I will bring a sword against you. I will destroy all your people and animals.

9. മിസ്രയീംദേശം പാഴും ശൂന്യവുമായ്തീരും; ഞാന് യഹോവ എന്നു അവര് അറിയും; നദി എനിക്കുള്ളതാകുന്നു; ഞാന് അതിനെ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അവന് പറഞ്ഞുവല്ലോ.

9. Egypt will be empty and destroyed. Then they will know that I am the Lord.' God said, 'Why will I do these things? Because you said, 'This is my river. I made this river.'

10. അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാന് നിനക്കും നിന്റെ നദികള്ക്കും വിരോധമായിരുന്നു മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തെ സെവേനെഗോപുരം മുതല് കൂശിന്റെ അതൃത്തിവരെ അശേഷം പാഴും ശൂന്യവുമാക്കും.

10. So I am against you. I am against the many branches of your Nile River. I will destroy Egypt completely. The cities will be empty from Migdol to Aswan and as far as the border of Ethiopia.

11. മനുഷ്യന്റെ കാല് അതില്കൂടി കടന്നുപോകയില്ല; മൃഗത്തിന്റെ കാല് അതില് ചവിട്ടുകയുമില്ല; നാല്പതു സംവത്സരത്തേക്കു അതില് നിവാസികള് ഇല്ലാതെയിരിക്കും.

11. No person or animal will pass through Egypt. Nothing will pass through or settle there for 40 years.

12. ഞാന് മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തെ ശൂന്യദേശങ്ങളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തില് ശൂന്യമാക്കും; അതിലെ പട്ടണങ്ങള് ശൂന്യപട്ടണങ്ങളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തില് നാല്പതു സംവത്സരത്തേക്കു ശൂന്യമായിരിക്കും; ഞാന് മിസ്രയീമ്യരെ ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയില് ചിന്നിച്ചു ദേശങ്ങളില് ചിതറിച്ചുകളയും.

12. I will destroy Egypt. The cities will be in ruins for 40 years! I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations. I will make them strangers in foreign lands.'

13. യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുനാല്പതു സംവത്സരം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു ഞാന് മിസ്രയീമ്യരെ അവര് ചിന്നിപ്പോയിരിക്കുന്ന ജാതികളില്നിന്നു ശേഖരിക്കും.

13. This is what the Lord God says: 'I will scatter the people of Egypt among many nations. But at the end of 40 years, I will gather those people together again.

14. ഞാന് മിസ്രയീമിന്റെ പ്രവാസം മാറ്റി അവരെ അവരുടെ ജന്മദേശമായ പത്രോസ് ദേശത്തേക്കു മടക്കിവരുത്തും; അവിടെ അവര് ഒരു ഹീനരാജ്യമായിരിക്കും.

14. I will bring back the Egyptian captives. I will bring back the Egyptians to the land of Pathros, to the land where they were born. But their kingdom will not be important.

15. അതു രാജ്യങ്ങളില്വെച്ചു അതിഹീനമായിരിക്കും; ഇനി ജാതികള്ക്കു മേലായി അതു തന്നെത്താന് ഉയര്ത്തുകയും ഇല്ല; അവര് ജാതികളുടെമേല് വാഴാതവണ്ണം ഞാന് അവരെ കുറെച്ചുകളയും.

15. It will be the least important kingdom. It will never again lift itself above the other nations. I will make them so small that they will not rule over the nations.

16. യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹം തിരിഞ്ഞു അവരെ നോക്കുമ്പോള്, അതു ഇനി അവരുടെ അകൃത്യം ഔര്പ്പിക്കുന്നതായോരു ശരണമായിരിക്കയില്ല; ഞാന് യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു എന്നു അവര് അറിയും.

16. And the family of Israel will never again depend on Egypt. The Israelites will remember their sin�they will remember that they turned to Egypt for help and not to God, and they will know that I am the Lord God.'

17. ഇരുപത്തേഴാം ആണ്ടു, ഒന്നാം മാസം, ഒന്നാം തിയ്യതി യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എനിക്കുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാല്

17. On the first day of the first month in the twenty-seventh year of exile, the word of the Lord came to me. He said,

18. മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, ബാബേല്രാജാവായ നെബൂഖദ് നേസര് സോരിന്റെ നേരെ തന്റെ സൈന്യത്തെക്കൊണ്ടു വലിയ വേലി ചെയ്യിച്ചു; എല്ലാതലയും കഷണ്ടിയായി എല്ലാചുമലും തോലുരിഞ്ഞുപോയി; എങ്കിലും സോരിന്നു വിരോധമായി ചെയ്ത വേലെക്കു അവന്നോ അവന്റെ സൈന്യത്തിന്നോ അവിടെനിന്നു പ്രതിഫലം കിട്ടിയില്ല.

18. 'Son of man, King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon made his army fight hard against Tyre. They shaved every soldier's head. Every shoulder was rubbed bare from carrying heavy loads. Nebuchadnezzar and his army worked hard to defeat Tyre, but they got nothing from all that hard work.'

19. അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യന്നുഞാന് മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തെ ബാബേല്രാജാവായ നെബൂഖദ്നേസരിന്നു കൊടുക്കും; അവന് അതിലെ സമ്പത്തു എടുത്തു അതിനെ കൊള്ളയിട്ടു കവര്ച്ചചെയ്യും; അതു അവന്റെ സൈന്യത്തിന്നു പ്രതിഫലമായിരിക്കും.

19. So this is what the Lord God says: 'I will give Egypt to King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon, and he will carry away the people. He will take the many valuable things in Egypt to pay his army.

20. ഞാന് അവന്നു മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തെ അവന് ചെയ്തവേലെക്കു പ്രതിഫലമായി കൊടുക്കുന്നു; അവര് എനിക്കായിട്ടല്ലോ പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചതു എന്നു യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

20. I will give Egypt to Nebuchadnezzar as a reward for the hard work he did for me.' This is what the Lord God said!

21. അന്നാളില് ഞാന് യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹത്തിന്നു ഒരു കൊമ്പു മുളെക്കുമാറാക്കി അവരുടെ നടുവില് നിനക്കു തുറന്ന വായ് നലകും; ഞാന് യഹോവ എന്നു അവര് അറിയും.

21. 'On that day I will make the family of Israel strong. So Ezekiel, I will let you speak to them. Then they will know that I am the Lord.'
