1. “സ്വര്ഗ്ഗരാജ്യം തന്റെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തില് വേലക്കാരെ വിളിച്ചാക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു പുലര്ച്ചെക്കു പുറപ്പെട്ട വീട്ടുടയവനോടു സദൃശം.

1. For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard.

2. വേലക്കാരോടു അവന് ദിവസത്തേക്കു ഔരോ വെള്ളിക്കാശു പറഞ്ഞൊത്തിട്ടു, അവരെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തില് അയച്ചു.

2. And when he had agreed with the labourers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard.

3. മൂന്നാം മണിനേരത്തും പുറപ്പെട്ടു, മറ്റു ചിലര് ചന്തയില് മിനക്കെട്ടു നിലക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു

3. And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace,

4. നിങ്ങളും മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തില് പോകുവിന് ; ന്യായമായതു തരാം എന്നു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു; അവര് പോയി.

4. And said unto them; Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right I will give you. And they went their way.

5. അവന് ആറാം മണിനേരത്തും ഒമ്പതാം മണി നേരത്തും ചെന്നു അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ ചെയ്തു.

5. Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise.

6. പതിനൊന്നാം മണി നേരത്തും ചെന്നു, മറ്റു ചിലര് നിലക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടിട്ടു; നിങ്ങള് ഇവിടെ പകല് മുഴുവന് മിനക്കെട്ടു നിലക്കുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

6. And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle?

7. ഞങ്ങളെ ആരും കൂലിക്കു വിളിക്കായ്കകൊണ്ടത്രേ എന്നു അവര് പറഞ്ഞപ്പോള്നിങ്ങളും മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തിലേക്കു ചെല്ലുവിന് എന്നു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

7. They say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive.

8. സന്ധ്യയായപ്പോള് മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തിന്റെ ഉടയവന് തന്റെ വിചാരകനോടുവേലക്കാരെ വിളിച്ചു, പിമ്പന്മാര് തുടങ്ങി മുമ്പന്മാര്വരെ അവര്ക്കും കൂലി കൊടുക്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

8. So when even was come, the master of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the labourers, and give them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first.

9. അങ്ങനെ പതിനൊന്നാം മണിനേരത്തു വന്നവര് ചെന്നു ഔരോ വെള്ളിക്കാശു വാങ്ങി.

9. And when they came that were hired about the eleventh hour, they received every man a penny.

10. മുമ്പന്മാര് വന്നപ്പോള് തങ്ങള്ക്കു അധികം കിട്ടും എന്നു നിരൂപിച്ചു; അവര്ക്കും ഔരോ വെള്ളിക്കാശു കിട്ടി.

10. But when the first came, they supposed that they should have received more; and they likewise received every man a penny.

11. അതു വാങ്ങീട്ടു അവര് വീട്ടുടയവന്റെ നേരെ പിറുപിറുത്തു

11. And when they had received it, they murmured against the goodman of the house,

12. ഈ പിമ്പന്മാര് ഒരു മണിനേരം മാത്രം വേല ചെയ്തിട്ടും നീ അവരെ പകലത്തെ ഭാരവും വെയിലും സഹിച്ച ഞങ്ങളോടു സമമാക്കിയല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

12. Saying, These last have wrought but one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day.

13. അവരില് ഒരുത്തനോടു അവന് ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതുസ്നേഹിതാ, ഞാന് നിന്നോടു അന്യായം ചെയ്യുന്നില്ല; നീ എന്നോടു ഒരു പണം പറഞ്ഞൊത്തില്ലയോ?

13. But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a penny?

14. നിന്റേതു വാങ്ങി പൊയ്ക്കൊള്ക; നിനക്കു തന്നതുപോലെ ഈ പിമ്പന്നും കൊടുപ്പാന് എനിക്കു മനസ്സു.

14. Take that thine is, and go thy way: I will give unto this last, even as unto thee.

15. എനിക്കുള്ളതിനെക്കൊണ്ടു മനസ്സുപോലെ ചെയ്വാന് എനിക്കു ന്യായമില്ലയോ? ഞാന് നല്ലവന് ആകകൊണ്ടു നിന്റെ കണ്ണു കടിക്കുന്നുവോ?

15. Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good?

16. ഇങ്ങനെ പിമ്പന്മാര് മുമ്പന് മാരും മുമ്പന്മാര് പിമ്പന്മാരും ആകും.”

16. So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.

17. യേശു യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു യാത്രചെയ്യുമ്പോള് പന്ത്രണ്ടു ശിഷ്യന്മാരെയും വേറിട്ടു കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു വഴിയില്വെച്ചു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു

17. And Yahushua going up to Jerusalem took the twelve disciples apart in the way, and said unto them,

18. “നാം യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു പോകുന്നുവല്ലോ; അവിടെ മനുഷ്യപുത്രന് മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാര്ക്കും ശാസ്ത്രിമാര്ക്കും ഏല്പിക്കപ്പെടും;

18. Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death,

19. അവര് അവന്നു മരണശിക്ഷ കല്പിച്ചു, പരിഹസിപ്പാനും തല്ലുവാനും ക്രൂശിപ്പാനും അവനെ ജാതികള്ക്കു ഏല്പിക്കും; എന്നാല് മൂന്നാം നാള് അവന് ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേലക്കും.”

19. And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again.

20. അന്നു സെബെദിപുത്രന്മാരുടെ അമ്മ പുത്രന്മാരുമായി അവന്റെ അടുക്കെ വന്നു നമസ്ക്കുരിച്ചു അവനോടു ഒരു അപേക്ഷ കഴിച്ചു.

20. Then came to him the mother of Zebedees children with her sons, worshipping him, and desiring a certain thing of him.

21. “നിനക്കു എന്തു വേണം” എന്നു അവന് അവളോടു ചോദിച്ചു. അവള് അവനോടുഈ എന്റെ പുത്രന്മാര് ഇരുവരും നിന്റെ രാജ്യത്തില് ഒരുത്തന് നിന്റെ വലത്തും ഒരുത്തന് ഇടത്തും ഇരിപ്പാന് അരുളിച്ചെയ്യേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

21. And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left, in thy kingdom.

22. അതിന്നു ഉത്തരമായി യേശു“നിങ്ങള് യാചിക്കുന്നതു ഇന്നതു എന്നു നിങ്ങള് അറിയുന്നില്ല; ഞാന് കുടിപ്പാനിരിക്കുന്ന പാനപാത്രം കുടിപ്പാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു കഴിയുമോ” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. കഴിയും എന്നു അവര് പറഞ്ഞു.

22. But Yahushua answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able.

23. അവന് അവരോടു“എന്റെ പാനപാത്രം നിങ്ങള് കുടിക്കും നിശ്ചയം; എങ്കിലും എന്റെ വലത്തും ഇടത്തും ഇരിപ്പാന് വരം നലകുന്നതു എന്റേതല്ല; എന്റെ പിതാവു ആര്ക്കും ഒരുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നുവോ അവര്ക്കും കിട്ടും” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

23. And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.

24. ശേഷം പത്തുപേര് അതു കേട്ടിട്ടു ആ രണ്ടു സഹോദരന്മാരോടു നീരസപ്പെട്ടു.

24. And when the ten heard it, they were moved with indignation against the two brethren.

25. യേശുവോ അവരെ അടുക്കെ വിളിച്ചു“ജാതികളുടെ അധിപന്മാര് അവരില് കര്ത്തൃത്വം ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നും മഹത്തുക്കള് അവരുടെമേല് അധികാരം നടത്തുന്നു എന്നും നിങ്ങള് അറിയുന്നു.

25. But Yahushua called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.

26. നിങ്ങളില് അങ്ങനെ അരുതുനിങ്ങളില് മഹാന് ആകുവാന് ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നവനെല്ലാം നിങ്ങളുടെ ശുശ്രൂഷക്കാരന് ആകേണം.

26. But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;

27. നിങ്ങളില് ഒന്നാമന് ആകുവാന് ഇചഛിക്കുന്നവനെല്ലാം നിങ്ങളുടെ ദാസന് ആകേണം.

27. And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:

28. മനുഷ്യപുത്രന് ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്യിപ്പാനല്ല ശുശ്രൂഷിപ്പാനും അനേകര്ക്കും വേണ്ടി തന്റെ ജീവനെ മറുവിലയായി കൊടുപ്പാനും വന്നതുപോലെ തന്നേ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

28. Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

29. അവര് യെരീഹോവില് നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടപ്പോള് വലിയോരു പുരുഷാരം അവനെ അനുഗമിച്ചു.

29. And as they departed from Jericho, a great multitude followed him.

30. അപ്പോള് വഴിയരികെ ഇരിക്കുന്ന രണ്ടു കുരുടന്മാര് യേശു കടന്നുപോകുന്നതു കേട്ടുകര്ത്താവേ, ദാവീദ് പുത്രാ, ഞങ്ങളോടു കുരുണതോന്നേണമേ എന്നു നിലവിളിച്ചു.

30. And, behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, when they heard that Yahushua passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O master, thou Son of David.

31. മിണ്ടാതിരിപ്പാന് പുരുഷാരം അവരെ ശാസിച്ചപ്പോള് അവര്കര്ത്താവേ, ദാവീദ് പുത്രാ, ഞങ്ങളോടു കരുണ തോന്നേണമേ എന്നു അധികം നിലവിളിച്ചു.

31. And the multitude rebuked them, because they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O master, thou Son of David.

32. യേശു നിന്നു അവരെ വിളിച്ചു“ഞാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു എന്തു ചെയ്യേണമെന്നു നിങ്ങള് ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നു” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

32. And Yahushua stood still, and called them, and said, What will ye that I shall do unto you?

33. കര്ത്താവേ, ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു കണ്ണു തുറന്നുകിട്ടേണം എന്നു അവര് പറഞ്ഞു.

33. They say unto him, Master, that our eyes may be opened.

34. യേശു മനസ്സലിഞ്ഞു അവരുടെ കണ്ണു തൊട്ടു; ഉടനെ അവര് കാഴ്ച പ്രാപിച്ചു, അവനെ അനുഗമിച്ചു.

34. So Yahushua had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.
