1. പിന്നെ അവന് ഉപമകളാല് അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞുതുടങ്ങിയതുഒരു മനുഷ്യന് ഒരു മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം നട്ടുണ്ടാക്കി ചുറ്റും വേലികെട്ടി ചക്കും കുഴിച്ചുനാട്ടി ഗോപുരവും പണിതു കുടിയാന്മാരെ ഏല്പിച്ചിട്ടു പരദേശത്തു പോയി.
യെശയ്യാ 5:1-7

1. And he began to speak unto them in similitudes. A certain man planted a vineyard, and compassed it with an hedge, and ordained a winepress, and built a tower in it, and let it out to hire unto husbandmen, and went into a strange country.

2. കാലം ആയപ്പോള് കുടിയാന്മാരോടു തോട്ടത്തിന്റെ അനുഭവം വാങ്ങേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന് ഒരു ദാസനെ കുടിയാന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കല് പറഞ്ഞയച്ചു.

2. And when the time was come he sent to the tenants a servant that he might receive of the tenants of the fruit of the vineyard.

3. അവര് അവനെ പിടിച്ചു തല്ലി വെറുതെ അയച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.
യോശുവ 22:5

3. And they caught him and beat him and sent him again empty.

4. പിന്നെ മറ്റൊരു ദാസനെ അവരുടെ അടുക്കല് പറഞ്ഞയച്ചു; അവനെ അവര് തലയില് മുറിവേല്പിക്കയും അവമാനിക്കയും ചെയ്തു.

4. And moreover he sent unto them another servant, and at him they cast stones and brake his head, and sent him again all too reviled.(sent him away shamefully dealt withall)

5. അവന് മറ്റൊരുവനെ പറഞ്ഞയച്ചു; അവനെ അവര് കൊന്നു; മറ്റു പലരെയും ചിലരെ അടിക്കയും ചിലരെ കൊല്ലുകയും ചെയ്തു.

5. And again he sent another, and him they killed: and many other, beating some, and killing some.

6. അവന്നു ഇനി ഒരുത്തന് , ഒരു പ്രിയമകന് , ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. എന്റെ മകനെ അവര് ശങ്കിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു ഒടുക്കം അവനെ അവരുടെ അടുക്കല് പറഞ്ഞയച്ചു.

6. Yet had he one son whom he loved tenderly, him also sent he at the last unto them, saying: they will fear my son.(stand in awe of my son)

7. ആ കുടിയാന്മാരോഇവന് അവകാശി ആകുന്നു; വരുവിന് ; നാം ഇവനെ കൊല്ലുക; എന്നാല് അവകാശം നമുക്കാകും എന്നു തമ്മില് പറഞ്ഞു.

7. But the tenants said within(amongst) themselves: This is the heir, come let us kill him and the inheritance shall be ours.

8. അവര് അവനെ പിടിച്ചു കൊന്നു തോട്ടത്തില് നിന്നു എറിഞ്ഞുകളഞ്ഞു.

8. And they took him and killed him, and cast him out of the vineyard.

9. എന്നാല് തോട്ടത്തിന്റെ ഉടയവന് എന്തു ചെയ്യും? അവന് വന്നു ആ കുടിയാന്മാരെ നിഗ്രഹിച്ചു തോട്ടം മറ്റുള്ളവരെ ഏല്പിക്കും.

9. What shall then the lord of the vineyard do? He will come and destroy the tenants, and let out the vineyard to other.

10. “വീടു പണിയുന്നവര് തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞ കല്ലു മൂലക്കല്ലായിതീര്ന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.”

10. Have ye not read this scripture? the stone which the builders did refuse, is made the chief stone(headstone) in the corner:

11. “ഇതു കര്ത്താവിനാല് സംഭവിച്ചു. നമ്മുടെ ദൃഷ്ടിയില് ആശ്ചര്യ്യവുമായിരിക്കുന്നു” എന്ന തിരുവെഴുത്തു നിങ്ങള് വായിച്ചിട്ടില്ലയോ?

11. This was done of the Lord, and is marvelous in our eyes.

12. ഈ ഉപമ തങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു ആകുന്നു പറഞ്ഞതു എന്നു ഗ്രഹിച്ചിട്ടു അവര് അവനെ പിടിപ്പാന് അന്വേഷിച്ചു; എന്നാല് പുരുഷാരത്തെ ഭയപ്പെട്ടു അവനെ വിട്ടുപോയി.

12. And they went about to take him, but they feared the people. For they perceived that he spake that similitude against them. And they left him and went their way.

13. അനന്തരം അവനെ വാക്കില് കുടുക്കുവാന് വേണ്ടി അവര് പരീശന്മാരിലും ഹെരോദ്യരിലും ചിലരെ അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് അയച്ചു.

13. And they sent unto him certain of the pharisees with Herod's servants, to take him in his words.

14. അവര് വന്നുഗുരോ, നീ മനുഷ്യരുടെ മുഖം നോക്കാതെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വഴി നേരായി പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു നീ സത്യവാനും ആരെയും ഗണ്യമാക്കാത്തവനും എന്നു ഞങ്ങള് അറിയുന്നു; കൈസര്ക്കും കരം കൊടുക്കുന്നതു വിഹിതമോ അല്ലയോ? ഞങ്ങള് കൊടുക്കയോ കൊടുക്കാതിരിക്കയോ വേണ്ടതു എന്നു അവനോടു ചോദിച്ചു.

14. And as soon as they were come, they said unto him: master, we know that thou art true, and carest for no man: For thou considerest not the degree of men, but teachest the way of God truly: Is it lawful to pay tribute to Cesar, or not?

15. അവന് അവരുടെ കപടം അറിഞ്ഞുനിങ്ങള് എന്നെ പരീക്ഷിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു? ഒരു വെള്ളിക്കാശ് കൊണ്ടുവരുവിന് ; ഞാന് കാണട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

15. ought we to give, or ought we not to give? He knew(understood) their dissimulation,(perceived their hypocracy) and said unto them: Why tempt ye me? Bring me a penny, that I may see it.

16. അവര് കൊണ്ടു വന്നു. ഈ സ്വരൂപവും മേലെഴുത്തും ആരുടേതു എന്നു അവരോടു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നുകൈസരുടേതു എന്നു അവര് പറഞ്ഞു.

16. And they brought him one. And he said unto them: Whose is this image and superscription? And they said unto him, Cesar's.

17. യേശു അവരോടുകൈസര്ക്കുംള്ളതു കൈസര്ക്കും ദൈവത്തിനുള്ളതു ദൈവത്തിന്നുള്ളതു ദൈവത്തിന്നും കൊടുപ്പിന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; അവര് അവങ്കല് വളരെ ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെട്ടു.

17. And Jesus answered, and said unto them: Then give to Cesar that which belongeth to Cesar: and give(to) God that which pertaineth to God. And they marveled at him.

18. പുനരുത്ഥാനം ഇല്ല എന്നു പറയുന്ന സദൂക്യര് അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് വന്നു ചോദിച്ചതെന്തെന്നാല്

18. And(Then came) the sadducees came unto him, which say, there is no resurrection. And they asked him saying:

19. ഗുരോ, ഒരുത്തന്റെ സഹോദരന് മക്കളില്ലാതെ മരിച്ചു ഭാര്യ ശേഷിച്ചാല് ആ ഭാര്യയെ അവന്റെ സഹോദരന് പരിഗ്രഹിച്ചു തന്റെ സഹോദരന്നു സന്തതിയെ ജനിപ്പിക്കേണം എന്നു മോശെ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

19. Master, Moses wrote unto us, if any man's brother die, and leave his wife, behind him, and leave no children: that then his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.

20. എന്നാല് ഏഴു സഹോദരന്മാര് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവരില് മൂത്തവന് ഒരു സ്ത്രീയെ വിവാഹം കഴിച്ചു സന്തതിയില്ലാതെ മരിച്ചു പോയി.

20. There were seven brethren and the first took a wife, and when he died left no seed behind him.

21. രണ്ടാമത്തവന് അവളെ പരിഗ്രഹിച്ചു സന്തതിയില്ലാതെ മരിച്ചു; മൂന്നാമത്തവനും അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ.

21. And the second took her, and died: neither left he any seed, and the third likewise.

22. ഏഴുവരും സന്തതിയില്ലാതെ മരിച്ചു; എല്ലാവര്ക്കും ഒടുവില് സ്ത്രീയും മരിച്ചു.

22. And seven had her, and left no seed behind them. Last of all the wife died also.

23. പുനരുത്ഥാനത്തില് അവള് അവരില് ഏവന്നു ഭാര്യയാകും? ഏഴുവര്ക്കും ഭാര്യ ആയിരുന്നുവല്ലോ.

23. In the resurrection then, when they shall rise again: whose wife shall she be of them? For seven had her to wife.

24. യേശു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതുനിങ്ങള് തിരുവെഴുത്തുകളെയും ദൈവശക്തിയെയും അറിയായ്കകൊണ്ടല്ലയോ തെറ്റിപ്പോകുന്നതു?

24. Jesus answered, and said unto them: Are ye not therefore deceived(Do not ye err?) because ye know not(deceived and understand not) the scriptures? Neither the power of God?

25. മരിച്ചവരില് നിന്നു ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേലക്കുമ്പോള് വിവാഹം കഴിക്കയില്ല വിവാഹത്തിന്നു കൊടുക്കപ്പെടുകയുമില്ല; സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തിലെ ദൂതന്മാരെപ്പോലെ ആകും.

25. For when they shall rise again from death, they neither marry, nor are married: but are as the angels which are in heaven.

26. എന്നാല് മരിച്ചവര് ഉയിര്ത്തെഴു ന്നേലക്കുന്നതിനെക്കുറിച്ചു മോശെയുടെ പുസ്തകത്തില് മുള്പടര്പ്പുഭാഗത്തു ദൈവം അവനോടുഞാന് അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ ദൈവവും യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്റെ ദൈവവും യാക്കോബിന്റെ ദൈവവും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തപ്രകാരം വായിച്ചിട്ടില്ലയോ?

26. As touching the dead, that they shall rise again: have ye not read in the book of Moses, how in the bush God spake unto him saying: I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?

27. അവന് മരിച്ചവരുടെ ദൈവമല്ല, ജീവനുള്ളവരുടെ ദൈവമത്രേ; നിങ്ങള് വളരെ തെറ്റിപ്പോകുന്നു.

27. He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living, ye are therefore greatly deceived.

28. ശാസ്ത്രിമാരില് ഒരുവന് അടുത്തുവന്നു അവര് തമ്മില് തര്ക്കിക്കുന്നതു കേട്ടു അവന് അവരോടു നല്ലവണ്ണം ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞപ്രകാരം ബോധിച്ചിട്ടുഎല്ലാറ്റിലും മുഖ്യകല്പന ഏതു എന്നു അവനോടു ചോദിച്ചു. അതിന്നു യേശു

28. And there came one of the scribes, and when he(that) had heard them disputing together, and perceived that he had answered them well, he(and) asked him: Which is the first of all the commandments?

29. എല്ലാറ്റിലും മുഖ്യകല്പനയോ“യിസ്രായേലേ, കേള്ക്ക; നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ കര്ത്താവു ഏക കര്ത്താവു.

29. Jesus answered him: the first of all the commandments is. Hear Israel, our(The) Lord God, is one Lord.

30. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ കര്ത്താവിനെ നീ പൂര്ണ്ണഹൃദയത്തോടും പൂര്ണ്ണാത്മാവോടും പൂര്ണ്ണമനസ്സോടും പൂര്ണ്ണശക്തിയോടും കൂടെ സ്നേഹിക്കേണം, എന്നു ആകുന്നു.

30. And thou shalt love thy Lord God(the LORD thy God) with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength. This is the first commandment.

31. രണ്ടാമത്തേതോ“കൂട്ടുകാരനെ നിന്നെപ്പോലെ തന്നേ സ്നേഹിക്കേണം” എന്നത്രേ; ഇവയില് വലുതായിട്ടു മറ്റൊരു കല്പനയും എല്ല എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

31. And the second is like unto this. Thou shalt love thy neighbor, as thy self. There is none other commandment greater than these.

32. ശാസ്ത്രി അവനോടുനന്നു, ഗുരോ, നീ പറഞ്ഞതു സത്യ തന്നേ; ഏകനേയുള്ളൂ; അവനല്ലാതെ മറ്റൊരുത്തനുമില്ല.

32. And the scribe said unto him: well master, thou hast said the truth,(said right) that there is one God, and that there is none but he.

33. അവനെ പൂര്ണ്ണഹൃദയത്തോടും പൂര്ണ്ണ മനസ്സോടും പൂര്ണ്ണശക്തിയോടുംകൂടെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നതും തന്നെപ്പോലെ കൂട്ടുകാരനെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നതും സകല സര്വ്വാംഗഹോമങ്ങളെക്കാളും യാഗങ്ങളെക്കാളും സാരമേറിയതു തന്നേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

33. And to love him with all the heart, and with all the mind, and with all the soul, and with all the strength. And to love a man's neighbor as himself, is a greater thing than all holocausts(burnt offerings) and sacrifices.

34. അവന് ബുദ്ധിയോടെ ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു എന്നു യേശു കണ്ടിട്ടുനീ ദൈവരാജ്യത്തോടു അകന്നവനല്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അതിന്റെ ശേഷം അവനോടു ആരും ഒന്നും ചോദിപ്പാന് തുനിഞ്ഞില്ല.

34. And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him: Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him any question.

35. യേശു ദൈവാലയത്തില് ഉപദേശിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു പറഞ്ഞുതുടങ്ങിയതുക്രിസ്തു ദാവീദിന്റെ പുത്രന് എന്നു ശാസ്ത്രിമാര് പറയുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ?

35. And Jesus answered, and said teaching in the temple: how say the scribes, that Christ is the son of David?

37. ദാവീദ് തന്നേ അവനെ കര്ത്താവു എന്നു പറയുന്നവല്ലോ; പിന്നെ അവന്റെ പുത്രന് ആകുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ? എന്നാല് വലിയ പുരുഷാരം അവന്റെ വാക്കു സന്തോഷത്തോടെ കേട്ടുപോന്നു.

37. Then David himself calleth him Lord, and by what means is he then his son? And much people heard him gladly.

38. അവന് തന്റെ ഉപദേശത്തില് അവരോടുഅങ്കികളോടെ നടക്കുന്നതും അങ്ങാടിയില്

38. And he said unto(taught) them in his doctrine: beware of the scribes which love to go in long, clothing: and love salutations in the market places,

39. വന്ദനവും പള്ളിയില് മുഖ്യാസനവും അത്താഴത്തില് പ്രധാനസ്ഥലവും ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്ന ശാസ്ത്രിമാരെ സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊള്വിന് .

39. and the chief seats in the synagogues, and to sit in the uppermost rooms at feasts,

40. അവര് വിധവമാരുടെ വീടുകളെ വിഴുങ്ങുകയും ഉപായത്താല് നീണ്ട പ്രാര്ത്ഥന കഴിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു; അവര്ക്കും ഏറ്റവും വലിയ ശിക്ഷാവിധി വരും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

40. and devour widows' houses, and (that) under a colour pray long prayers.(of long praying.) These shall have(receive) greater damnation.

41. പിന്നെ യേശു ശ്രീഭണ്ഡാരത്തിന്നു നേരെ ഇരിക്കുമ്പോള് പുരുഷാരം ഭണ്ഡാരത്തില് പണം ഇടുന്നതു നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു; ധനവാന്മാര് പലരും വളരെ ഇട്ടു.
2 രാജാക്കന്മാർ 12:9

41. And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people put money into the treasury. And many that were rich, cast in much.

42. ദരിദ്രയായ ഒരു വിധവ വന്നു ഒരു പൈസകൂ ശരിയായ രണ്ടു കാശ് ഇട്ടു.

42. And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing.

43. അപ്പോള് അവന് ശിഷ്യന്മാരെ അടുക്കല് വിളിച്ചുഭണ്ഡാരത്തില് ഇട്ട എല്ലാവരെക്കാളും ഈ ദരിദ്രയായ വിധവ അധികം ഇട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഞാന് സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

43. And he called unto him his disciples, and said unto them: Verily I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury.

44. എല്ലാവരും തങ്ങളുടെ സമൃദ്ധിയില് നിന്നു ഇട്ടു; ഇവളോ തന്റെ ഇല്ലായ്മയില് നിന്നു തനിക്കുള്ളതു ഒക്കെയും തന്റെ ഉപജീവനം മുഴുവനും ഇട്ടു എന്നു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

44. For they all put(did cast) in of their superfluity: But she of her poverty, (did) cast in all that she had, even all her living.
