1. ആ ദിവസങ്ങളില് ഏറ്റവും വലിയ പുരുഷാരം ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കെ അവര്ക്കും ഭക്ഷിപ്പാന് ഒന്നും ഇല്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടു യേശു ശിഷ്യന്മാരെ അടുക്കല് വിളിച്ചു അവരോടു

1. In those dayes whe ther was a very greate companye and had nothinge to eate Iesus called his disciples to him and sayd vnto the:

2. ഈ പുരുഷാരം ഇപ്പോള് മൂന്നു നാളായി എന്നോടുകൂടെ പാര്ക്കുംന്നു; അവര്ക്കും ഭക്ഷിപ്പാന് ഒന്നും ഇല്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടു എനിക്കു അവരോടു അലിവു തോന്നുന്നു;

2. I have copassion on this people because they have nowe bene with me .iii. dayes and have nothinge to eate:

3. ഞാന് അവരെ പട്ടിണിയായി വീട്ടിലേക്കു അയച്ചാല് അവര് വഴിയില് വെച്ചു തളര്ന്നു പോകും; അവരില് ചിലര് ദൂരത്തുനിന്നുവന്നവരല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

3. And yf I shuld sende the awaye fastinge to their awne houses they shulde faynt by the waye. For dyvers of the came from farre.

4. അതിന്നു അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാര്ഇവര്ക്കും ഇവിടെ മരുഭൂമിയില് അപ്പം കൊടുത്തു തൃപ്തിവരുത്തുവാന് എങ്ങനെ കഴിയും എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

4. And his disciples answered him: where shuld a man have breade here in the wildernes to satisfie these?

5. അവന് അവരോടുനിങ്ങളുടെ പക്കല് എത്ര അപ്പം ഉണ്ടു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. ഏഴു എന്നു അവര് പറഞ്ഞു.

5. And he axed them: how many loves have ye? They sayde: seven.

6. അവന് പുരുഷാരത്തോടു നിലത്തു ഇരിപ്പാന് കല്പിച്ചു; പിന്നെ ആ ഏഴപ്പം എടുത്തു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്തു നുറുക്കി, ശിഷ്യന്മാരുടെ പക്കല് വിളമ്പുവാന് കൊടുത്തു; അവര് പുരുഷാരത്തിനു വിളമ്പി.

6. And he commaunded the people to syt doune on the grounde. And he toke the .vii. loves gave thankes brake and gave to his disciples to set before them. And they dyd set the before the people.

7. ചെറിയ മീനും കുറെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അതും അവന് അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചിട്ടു, വിളമ്പുവാന് പറഞ്ഞു.

7. And they had a feawe smale fysshes. And he blessed them and comaunded them also to be set before them.

8. അവര് തിന്നു തൃപ്തരായി; ശേഷിച്ച കഷണങ്ങള് ഏഴു വട്ടി നിറച്ചെടുത്തു.

8. And they ate and were suffysed: And they toke vp yf the broken meate that was lefte .vii. baskettes full.

9. അവര് ഏകദേശം നാലായിരം പേര് ആയിരുന്നു.

9. And they yt ate were in nomber aboute fowre thousand. And he sent them awaye.

10. അവന് അവരെ പറഞ്ഞയച്ച ഉടനെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു കൂടെ പടകു കയറി ദല്മനൂഥ അംശങ്ങളില് എത്തി.

10. And a none he entred into a ship wt his disciples and came into the parties of Dalmanutha.

11. അനന്തരം പരീശന്മാര് വന്നു അവനെ പരീക്ഷിച്ചു കൊണ്ടു ആകാശത്തു നിന്നു ഒരു അടയാളം അന്വേഷിച്ചു അവനുമായി തര്ക്കിച്ചു തുടങ്ങി.

11. And the pharises cam forth and begane to dispute with him sekinge of him a signe fro heven and temptinge him.

12. അവന് ആത്മാവില്ഞരങ്ങിഈ തലമുറ അടയാളം അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു? ഈ തലമുറെക്കു അടയാളം ലഭിക്കയില്ല എന്നു ഞാന് സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു,

12. And he sygthed in his sprete and sayde: why doth this generacion seke a signe? Verely I saye vnto you ther shall no signe be geven vnto this generacion.

13. അവരെ വിട്ടു പിന്നെയും പടകു കയറി അക്കരെക്കു കടന്നു.

13. And he lefte the and went into the ship agayne and departed over the water.

14. അവര് അപ്പം കൊണ്ടുപോരുവാന് മറന്നു പോയിരുന്നു; പടകില് അവരുടെ പക്കല് ഒരു അപ്പം മാത്രമേ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നുള്ളു.

14. And they had forgotte to take breed wt the nether had they in the ship with them more then one loofe.

15. അവന് അവരോടുനോക്കുവിന് , പരീശരുടെ പുളിച്ചമാവും ഹെരോദാവിന്റെ പുളിച്ചമാവും സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊള്വിന് എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

15. And he charged the sayinge. Take hede and beware of ye leven of ye pharises and of ye leve of Herode.

16. നമുക്കു അപ്പം ഇല്ലായ്കയാല് എന്നു അവര് തമ്മില് തമ്മില് പറഞ്ഞു.

16. And they reasoned amonge the selves sayinge: we have no breed

17. അതു യേശു അറിഞ്ഞു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതുഅപ്പം ഇല്ലായ്കയാല് നിങ്ങള് തമ്മില് പറയുന്നതു എന്തു? ഇപ്പോഴും തിരിച്ചറിയുന്നില്ലയോ? ഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നില്ലയോ? നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയം കടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നുവോ?

17. And whe Iesus knewe yt he sayde vnto the: why take ye thought because ye have no bread? perceave ye not yet nether vnderstonde? Have ye youre hertes yet blynded?

18. കണ്ണു ഉണ്ടായിട്ടും കണുന്നില്ലയോ? ചെവി ഉണ്ടായിട്ടും കേള്ക്കുന്നില്ലയോ? ഔര്ക്കുംന്നതുമില്ലയോ?

18. Have ye eyes and se not? and have ye eares and heare not? Do ye not remember?

19. അയ്യായിരംപേര്ക്കും ഞാന് അഞ്ചു അപ്പം നുറുക്കിയപ്പോള് കഷണങ്ങള് എത്ര കൊട്ട നിറച്ചടുത്തു? പന്ത്രണ്ടു എന്നു അവര് അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

19. When I brake v. loves amonge .v.M. How many baskettes full of broke meate toke ye vp? They sayde vnto him twelve.

20. നാലായിരം പേര്ക്കും ഏഴു നുറുക്കിയപ്പോള് കഷണങ്ങള് എത്ര വട്ടി നിറച്ചെടുത്തു? ഏഴു എന്നു അവര് അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു. പിന്നെ അവന് അവരോടുഇപ്പോഴും നിങ്ങള് ഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നില്ലയോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

20. When I brake .vii. amonge .iiii. M. How many basketes of the levinges of broken meate toke ye vp? they sayde .vii.

21. അവര് ബേത്ത് സയിദയില് എത്തിയപ്പോള് ഒരു കുരുടനെ അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവന്നു അവനെ തൊടേണമെന്നു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു.

21. And he sayde vnto the: how is it yt ye vnderstonde not?

22. അവന് കുരുടന്റെ കൈകൂ പിടിച്ചു അവനെ ഊരിന്നു പുറത്തുകൊണ്ടു പോയി അവന്റെ കണ്ണില് തുപ്പി അവന്റെ മേല് കൈ വെച്ചുനീ വല്ലതും കാണുന്നുണ്ടോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

22. And he came to Bethsaida and they brought a blynde man vnto him and desyred him to touche him.

23. അവന് കുരുടന്റെ കൈകൂപിടിച്ചു അവനെ ഊരിന്നു പുറത്തു കൊണ്ടുപോയി അവന്റെ കണ്ണില് തുപ്പി അവന്റെ മേല് കൈ വെച്ചു; നീ വല്ലതും കാണുന്നുണ്ടോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

23. And he caught the blynde by the honde and leade him out of the toune and spat in his eyes and put his hondes apon him and axed him whether he saw ought.

24. അവന് മേല്പോട്ടു നോക്കിഞാന് മനുഷ്യരെ കാണുന്നു; അവര് നടക്കുന്നതു മരങ്ങള് പോലെയത്രേ കാണുന്നതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

24. And he loked vp and sayde: I se ye men: For I se the walke as they were trees.

25. പിന്നെയും അവന്റെ കണ്ണിന്മേല് കൈ വെച്ചാറെ അവന് സൌഖ്യം പ്രാപിച്ചു മിഴിച്ചുനോക്കി എല്ലാം സ്പഷ്ടമായി കണ്ടു.

25. After that he put his hondes agayne apon his eyes and made him see. And he was restored to his sight and sawe every ma clerly.

26. നീ ഊരില് കടക്കപോലും അരുതു എന്നു അവന് പറഞ്ഞു അവനെ വീട്ടിലേക്കു അയച്ചു.

26. And he sent him home to his housse sayinge: nether goo into the toune nor tell it to eny in the toune.

27. അനന്തരം യേശു ശിഷ്യന്മാരുമായി ഫിലിപ്പൊസിന്റെ കൈസര്യകൂ അടുത്ത ഊരുകളിലേക്കു പോയി; വഴിയില്വെച്ചു ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടുജനങ്ങള് എന്നെ ആര് എന്നു പറയുന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

27. And Iesus went out and his disciples into the tounes that longe to the cite called Cesarea Philippi. Aud by the waye he axed his disciples sayinge: whom do men saye yt I am?

28. യോഹന്നാന് സ്നാപകനെന്നു ചിലര്, ഏലീയാവെന്നു ചിലര്, പ്രവാചകന്മാരില് ഒരുത്തന് എന്നു മറ്റു ചിലര് എന്നു അവര് ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

28. And they answered: some saye that thou arte Iohn Baptiste: some saye Helyas: and some one of the Prophetes.

29. അവന് അവരോടുഎന്നാല് നിങ്ങള് എന്നെ ആര് എന്നു പറയുന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നുനീ ക്രിസ്തു ആകുന്നു എന്നു പത്രൊസ് ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

29. And he sayde vnto the: But whom saye ye that I am? Peter answered and sayd vnto him: Thou arte very Christe.

30. പിന്നെ തന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു ആരോടും പറയരുതെന്നു അവന് അവരോടു ഖണ്ഡിതമായി പറഞ്ഞു.

30. And he charged them that they shuld tell no man of it.

31. മനുഷ്യപുത്രന് പലതും സഹിക്കയും മൂപ്പന്മാരും മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും ശാസ്ത്രിമാരും അവനെ തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞു കൊല്ലുകയും മൂന്നു നാള് കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു അവന് ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേല്ക്കയും വേണം എന്നു അവരെ ഉപദേശിച്ചു തുടങ്ങി.

31. And he beganne to teache them how that the sonne of man must suffre many thinges and shuld be reproved of the elders and of the hye prestes and scribes and be kylled and after thre dayes aryse agayne.

32. അവന് ഈ വാക്കു തുറന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അപ്പോള് പത്രൊസ് അവനെ വേറിട്ടു കൊണ്ടുപോയി ശാസിച്ചുതുടങ്ങി;

32. And he spake that sayinge openly. And Peter toke him asyde and began to chyde him.

33. അവനോ തിരിഞ്ഞു നോക്കി ശിഷ്യന്മാരെ കണ്ടിട്ടു പത്രൊസിനെ ശാസിച്ചുസാത്താനേ, എന്നെ വിട്ടു പോ; നീ ദൈവത്തിന്റേതല്ല മനുഷ്യരുടെതത്രേ കരുതുന്നതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

33. Then he tourned aboute and looked on his disciples and rebuked Peter sayinge: Goo after me Satan. For thou saverest not ye thinges of God but the thinges of men.

34. പിന്നെ അവന് പുരുഷാരത്തെയും തന്റെ ശീഷ്യന്മാരെയും അരികെ വിളിച്ചു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതുഒരുവന് എന്നെ അനുഗമിപ്പാന് ഇച്ഛിച്ചാല് അവന് തന്നെത്താന് ത്യജിച്ചു തന്റെ ക്രൂശ് എടുത്തുകൊണ്ടു എന്നെ അനുഗമിക്കട്ടെ.

34. And he called the people vnto him with his disciples also and sayd vnto them: Whosoever will folowe me let him forsake him sylfe and take vp his crosse and folowe me.

35. ആരെങ്കിലും തന്റെ ജീവനെ രക്ഷിപ്പാന് ഇച്ഛിച്ചാല് അതിനെ കളയു; ആരെങ്കിലും എന്റെയും സുവിശേഷത്തിന്റെയും നിമിത്തം തന്റെ ജീവനെ കളഞ്ഞാല് അതിനെ രക്ഷിക്കും.

35. For whosoever will save his lyfe shall lose it But whosoever shall lose his lyfe for my sake and ye gospels ye same shall save it.

36. ഒരു മനുഷ്യന് സര്വ്വലോകവും നേടുകയും തന്റെ ജീവനെ കളകയും ചെയ്താല് അവന്നു എന്തു പ്രയോജനം?

36. What shall it profet a ma yf he shuld wynne all ye worlde and loose his awne soule?

37. അല്ല, തന്റെ ജീവന്നു വേണ്ടി മനുഷ്യന് എന്തൊരു മറുവില കൊടുക്കും;

37. or els what shall a ma geve to redeme his soule agayne?

38. വ്യഭിചാരവും പാപവും ഉള്ള ഈ തലമുറയില് ആരെങ്കിലും എന്നെയും എന്റെ വചനങ്ങളെയും കുറിച്ചു നാണിച്ചാല് അവനെക്കുറിച്ചു മനുഷ്യപുത്രനും തന്റെ പിതാവിന്റെ തേജസ്സില് വിശുദ്ധ ദൂതന്മാരുമായി വരുമ്പോള് നാണിക്കും;

38. Whosoever therfore shall be asshamed of me and of my wordes amonge this advoutrous and sinfull generacion: of him shall the sonne of man be ashamed when he cometh in the glory of his father wt the holy angels.
