1. മടുത്തുപോകാതെ എപ്പോഴും പ്രാര്ത്ഥിക്കേണം എന്നുള്ളതിന്നു അവന് അവരോടു ഒരുപമ പറഞ്ഞതു

1. Jesus told them a picture-story to show that men should always pray and not give up.

2. ദൈവത്തെ ഭയവും മനുഷ്യനെ ശങ്കയുമില്ലാത്ത ഒരു ന്യായാധിപന് ഒരു പട്ടണത്തില് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

2. He said, 'There was a man in one of the cities who was head of the court. His work was to say if a person was guilty or not. This man was not afraid of God. He did not respect any man.

3. ആ പട്ടണത്തില് ഒരു വിധവയും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അവള് അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നുഎന്റെ പ്രതിയോഗിയോടു പ്രതിക്രിയ നടത്തി രക്ഷിക്കേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

3. In that city there was a woman whose husband had died. She kept coming to him and saying, 'Help me! There is someone who is working against me.'

4. അവന്നു കുറേ കാലത്തേക്കു മനസ്സില്ലായിരുന്നു; പിന്നെ അവന് എനിക്കു ദൈവത്തെ ഭയവും മനുഷ്യനെ ശങ്കയുമില്ല

4. For awhile he would not help her. Then he began to think, 'I am not afraid of God and I do not respect any man.

5. എങ്കിലും വിധവ എന്നെ അസഹ്യമാക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാന് അവളെ പ്രതിക്രിയ നടത്തി രക്ഷിക്കും; അല്ലെങ്കില് അവള് ഒടുവില് വന്നു എന്നെ മുഖത്തടിക്കും എന്നു ഉള്ളുകൊണ്ടു പറഞ്ഞു.

5. But I will see that this woman whose husband has died gets her rights because I get tired of her coming all the time.' '

6. അനീതിയുള്ള ന്യായാധിപന് പറയുന്നതു കേള്പ്പിന് .

6. Then the Lord said, 'Listen to the words of the sinful man who is head of the court.

7. ദൈവമോ രാപ്പകല് തന്നോടു നിലവിളിക്കുന്ന തന്റെ വൃതന്മാരുടെ കാര്യത്തില് ദീര്ഘ ക്ഷമയുള്ളവന് ആയാലും അവരെ പ്രതിക്രിയ നടത്തി രക്ഷിക്കയില്ലയോ?

7. Will not God make the things that are right come to His chosen people who cry day and night to Him? Will He wait a long time to help them?

8. വേഗത്തില് അവരെ പ്രതിക്രിയ നടത്തി രക്ഷിക്കും എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു. എന്നാല് മനുഷ്യപുത്രന് വരുമ്പോള് അവന് ഭൂമിയില് വിശ്വാസം കണ്ടെത്തുമോ എന്നു കര്ത്താവു പറഞ്ഞു.

8. I tell you, He will be quick to help them. But when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?'

9. Jesus told another picture-story to some people who trusted in themselves and thought they were right with God. These people did not think well of other men.

10. Jesus said, 'Two men went up to the house of God to pray. One of them was a proud religious law-keeper. The other was a man who gathered taxes.

11. പരീശന് നിന്നുകൊണ്ടു തന്നോടു തന്നെദൈവമേ, പിടിച്ചു പറിക്കാര്, നീതി കെട്ടവര്, വ്യഭിചാരികള് മുതലായ ശേഷം മനുഷ്യരെപ്പോലെയോ ഈ ചുങ്കക്കാരനെപ്പോലെയോ ഞാന് അല്ലായ്കയാല് നിന്നെ വാഴ്ത്തുന്നു.

11. The proud religious law-keeper stood and prayed to himself like this, 'God, I thank You that I am not like other men. I am not like those who steal. I am not like those who do things that are wrong. I am not like those who do sex sins. I am not even like this tax-gatherer.

12. ആഴ്ചയില് രണ്ടുവട്ടം ഉപവസിക്കുന്നു; നേടുന്നതില് ഒക്കെയും പതാരം കൊടുത്തുവരുന്നു; എന്നിങ്ങനെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥിച്ചു.

12. I go without food two times a week so I can pray better. I give one-tenth part of the money I earn.'

13. ചുങ്കക്കാരനോ ദൂരത്തു നിന്നുകൊണ്ടു സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തേക്കു നോക്കുവാമ്പോലും തുനിയാതെ മാറത്തടിച്ചുദൈവമേ, പാപിയായ എന്നോടു കരുണയുണ്ടാകേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 51:1

13. But the man who gathered taxes stood a long way off. He would not even lift his eyes to heaven. But he hit himself on his chest and said, 'God, have pity on me! I am a sinner!'

14. അവന് നീതീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടവനായി വീട്ടിലേക്കു പോയി; മറ്റവന് അങ്ങനെയല്ല. തന്നെത്താന് ഉയര്ത്തുന്നവന് എല്ലാം താഴ്ത്തപ്പെടും; തന്നെത്താന് താഴ്ത്തുന്നവന് എല്ലാം ഉയര്ത്തപ്പെടും എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

14. I tell you, this man went back to his house forgiven, and not the other man. For whoever makes himself look more important than he is will find out how little he is worth. Whoever does not try to honor himself will be made important.'

15. അവന് തൊടേണ്ടതിന്നു ചിലര് ശിശുക്കളെയും അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; ശിഷ്യന്മാര് അതുകണ്ടു അവരെ ശാസിച്ചു.

15. People took their little children to Jesus so He could put His hand on them. When His followers saw it, they spoke sharp words to the people.

16. യേശുവോ അവരെ അരികത്തു വിളിച്ചുപൈതങ്ങളെ എന്റെ അടുക്കല് വരുവാന് വിടുവിന് ; അവരെ തടുക്കരുതു; ദൈവരാജ്യം ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ളവരുടേതു ആകുന്നു.

16. Jesus called the followers to Him and said, 'Let the little children come to Me. Do not try to stop them. The holy nation of God is made up of ones like these.

17. ദൈവരാജ്യത്തെ ശിശുഎന്നപോലെ കൈക്കൊള്ളാത്തവന് ആരും ഒരുനാളും അതില് കടക്കയില്ല എന്നു ഞാന് സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

17. For sure, I tell you, whoever does not receive the holy nation of God as a child will not go into the holy nation.'

18. ഒരു പ്രമാണി അവനോടുനല്ല ഗുരോ, ഞാന് നിത്യജീവനെ അവകാശമാക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു എന്തു ചെയ്യേണം എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

18. A leader of the people asked Jesus, 'Good Teacher, what must I do to have life that lasts forever?'

19. അതിന്നു യേശുഎന്നെ നല്ലവന് എന്നു പറയുന്നതു എന്തു? ദൈവം ഒരുവനല്ലാതെ നല്ലവന് ആരും ഇല്ല. വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്യരുതു

19. Jesus said to him, 'Why do you call Me good? There is only One Who is good. That is God.

20. കുല ചെയ്യരുതു; മോഷ്ടിക്കരുതു; കള്ളസ്സാക്ഷ്യം പറയരുതു; നിന്റെ അപ്പനെയും അമ്മയെയും ബഹുമാനിക്ക എന്നീ കല്പനകളെ നീ അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

20. You know the Laws. You must not do any sex sins. You must not kill another person. You must not steal. You must not tell a lie about someone else. Respect your father and your mother.'

21. ഇവ ഒക്കെയും ഞാന് ചെറുപ്പം മുതല് കാത്തു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അവന് പറഞ്ഞതു കേട്ടിട്ടു

21. The leader said, 'I have obeyed all these Laws since I was a boy.'

22. യേശുഇനി ഒരു കുറവു നിനക്കുണ്ടു; നിനക്കുള്ളതൊക്കെയും വിറ്റു ദരിദ്രന്മാര്ക്കും പകുത്തുകൊടുക്ക; എന്നാല് സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് നിനക്കു നിക്ഷേപം ഉണ്ടാകും; പിന്നെ വന്നു എന്നെ അനുഗമിക്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

22. When Jesus heard this, He said to the leader of the people, 'There is still one thing you need to do. Sell everything you have. Give the money to poor people. Then you will have riches in heaven. Come and follow Me.'

23. അവന് എത്രയും ധനവാനാകകൊണ്ടു ഇതു കേട്ടിട്ടു അതിദുഃഖതിനായിത്തീര്ന്നു.

23. When the leader heard this, he was very sad because he had many riches.

24. യേശു അവനെ കണ്ടിട്ടുസമ്പത്തുള്ളവര് ദൈവരാജ്യത്തില് കടക്കുന്നതു എത്ര പ്രയാസം!

24. When Jesus saw that he was very sad, He said, 'It is hard for those with riches to go into the holy nation of God!

25. ധനവാന് ദൈവരാജ്യത്തില് കടക്കുന്നതിനെക്കാള് ഒട്ടകം സൂചിക്കുഴയൂടെ കടക്കുന്നതു എളുപ്പം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

25. It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to go into the holy nation of God.'

26. ഇതു കേട്ടവര്എന്നാല് രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുവാന് ആര്ക്കും കഴിയും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

26. Those who heard this, said, 'Then who can be saved from the punishment of sin?'

27. അതിന്നു അവന് മനുഷ്യരാല് അസാദ്ധ്യമായതു ദൈവത്താല് സാദ്ധ്യമാകുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

27. Jesus said, 'God can do things men cannot do.'

28. ഇതാ ഞങ്ങള് സ്വന്തമായതു വിട്ടു നിന്നെ അനുഗമിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പത്രൊസ് പറഞ്ഞു.

28. Then Peter said, 'See, we have left everything and have followed You.'

29. യേശു അവരോടുദൈവരാജ്യം നിമിത്തം വീടോ ഭാര്യയെയോ സഹോദരന്മാരെയോ അമ്മയപ്പന്മാരെയോ മക്കളെയോ വിട്ടുകളഞ്ഞിട്ടു

29. Jesus said to them, 'For sure, I tell you, anyone who has left his house or parents or brothers or wife or children because of the holy nation of God

30. ഈ കാലത്തില് തന്നേ പല മടങ്ങായും വരുവാനുള്ള ലോകത്തില് നിത്യജീവനെയും പ്രാപിക്കാത്തവന് ആരും ഇല്ല എന്നു ഞാന് സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളാടു പറയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

30. will receive much more now. In the time to come he will have life that lasts forever.'

31. അനന്തരം അവന് പന്തിരുവരെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു അവരോടുഇതാ നാം യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു പോകുന്നു; മനുഷ്യപുത്രനെക്കുറിച്ചു പ്രവാചകന്മാര് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതു എല്ലാം നിവൃത്തിയാകും.

31. Then Jesus took the twelve followers to one side and said, 'See! We are going up to Jerusalem. All the things the early preachers wrote about the Son of Man are going to happen.

32. അവനെ ജാതികള്ക്കു ഏല്പിച്ചുകൊടുക്കയും അവര് അവനെ പരിഹസിച്ചു അവമാനിച്ചു തുപ്പി തല്ലീട്ടു കൊല്ലുകയും

32. He will be given over to the people who are not Jews. He will be made fun of. He will be hurt. He will be spit on.

33. മൂന്നാം നാള് അവന് ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേല്ക്കയും ചെയ്യും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

33. They will beat Him and kill Him. After three days He will be raised again.'

34. അവരോ ഇതു ഒന്നും ഗ്രഹിച്ചില്ല; ഈ വാക്കു അവര്ക്കും മറവായിരുന്നു; പറഞ്ഞതു അവര് തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞതുമില്ല.

34. The followers did not understand these words. The meaning of these words was hidden from them. They did not know what He said.

35. അവന് യെരീഹോവിന്നു അടുത്തപ്പോള് ഒരു കുരുടന് ഇരന്നുകൊണ്ടു വഴിയരികെ ഇരുന്നിരുന്നു.

35. Jesus was coming near Jericho. A blind man was sitting by the side of the road, begging.

36. പുരുഷാരം കടന്നു പോകുന്നതു കേട്ടുഇതെന്തു എന്നു അവന് ചോദിച്ചു.

36. He heard many people going by and asked what was happening.

37. നസറായനായ യേശു കടന്നുപോകുന്നു എന്നു അവര് അവനോടു അറിയിച്ചു.

37. They told him that Jesus of Nazareth was going by.

38. അപ്പോള് അവന് യേശുവേ, ദാവീദുപുത്രാ, എന്നോടു കരുണ തോന്നേണമേ എന്നു നിലവിളിച്ചു.

38. Then he cried out and said, 'Jesus, Son of David, have pity on me.'

39. മുന് നടക്കുന്നവര് അവനെ മിണ്ടാതിരിപ്പാന് ശാസിച്ചു; അവനോദിവീദുപുത്രാ എന്നോടു കരുണ തോന്നേണമേ എന്നു ഏറ്റവും അധികം നിലവിളിച്ചു.

39. The people spoke sharp words to him and told him not to call out. But he cried out all the more, 'Son of David, have pity on me.'

40. യേശു നിന്നു, അവനെ തന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവരുവാന് കല്പിച്ചു.

40. Jesus stopped and told the people to bring the blind man to Him. When the man was near, Jesus asked,

41. ഞാന് നിനക്കു എന്തു ചെയ്യേണം എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. കര്ത്താവേ, എനിക്കു കാഴ്ച കിട്ടേണം എന്നു അവന് പറഞ്ഞു.

41. 'What do you want Me to do for you?' He answered, 'Lord, I want to see.'

42. യേശു അവനോടുകാഴ്ച പ്രാപിക്ക; നിന്റെ വിശ്വാസം നിന്നെ രക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

42. Jesus said to him, 'Then see! Your faith has healed you.'

43. ക്ഷണത്തില് അവന് കാഴ്ച പ്രാപിച്ചു ദൈവത്തെ മഹത്വീകരിച്ചും കൊണ്ടു അവനെ അനുഗമിച്ചു; ജനം എല്ലാം കണ്ടിട്ടു ദൈവത്തിന്നു പുകഴ്ച കൊടുത്തു.

43. At once he could see. He followed Jesus and gave thanks to God. All the people gave thanks to God when they saw it.
