1. And it happened on the second chief sabbath, He passed along through the sown fields. And His disciples plucked the heads and were eating, rubbing with the hands.

2. പരീശന്മാരില് ചിലര് ശബ്ബത്തില് വിഹിതമല്ലാത്തതു നിങ്ങള്ചെയ്യുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

2. But some of the Pharisees said to them, Why do you do that which is not lawful to do on the sabbaths?

3. യേശു അവരോടുദാവീദ് തനിക്കും കൂടെയുള്ളവര്ക്കും വിശന്നപ്പോള് ചെയ്തതു എന്തു? അവന് ദൈവാലയത്തില് ചെന്നു

3. And answering, Jesus said to them, Have you never read this, what David did when he hungered, and those being with him?

4. പുരോഹിതന്മാര് മാത്രമല്ലാതെ ആരും തിന്നരുതാത്ത കാഴ്ചയപ്പം വാങ്ങി തിന്നുകയും കൂടെയുള്ളവര്ക്കും കൊടുക്കയും ചെയ്തു എന്നുള്ളതു നിങ്ങള് വായിച്ചിട്ടില്ലയോ എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

4. How he went into the house of God, and he took the Loaves of Presentation, and ate, and even gave to those with him, which it is not lawful to eat, except only the priests?

5. മനുഷ്യപുത്രന് ശബ്ബത്തിന്നും കര്ത്താവു ആകുന്നു എന്നും അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

5. And He said to them, The Son of Man is Lord of the sabbath also.

6. മറ്റൊരു ശബ്ബത്തില് അവന് പള്ളിയില് ചെന്നു ഉപദേശിക്കുമ്പോള് വലങ്കൈ വറണ്ടുള്ളോരു മനുഷ്യന് അവിടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

6. And it also happened on another sabbath, He going into the synagogue and teaching. And a man was there, and his right hand was withered.

7. ശാസ്ത്രിമാരും പരീശന്മാരും അവനെ കുറ്റം ചുമത്തുവാന് സംഗതി കിട്ടേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന് ശബ്ബത്തില് സൌഖ്യമാക്കുമോ എന്നു നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

7. And the scribes and the Pharisees kept close by Him, to see if He would heal on the sabbath, so that they might find a charge against Him.

8. അവരുടെ വിചാരം അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടു അവന് വരണ്ട കൈയുള്ള മനുഷ്യനോടുഎഴുന്നേറ്റു നടുവില് നില്ക്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു;

8. But He knew their reasonings. And He said to the man having the withered hand, Rise up and stand in the middle! And rising up, he stood.

9. അവന് എഴുന്നേറ്റു നിന്നു. യേശു അവരോടുഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു ഒന്നു ചോദിക്കട്ടെശബ്ബത്തില് നന്മ ചെയ്കയോ തിന്മ ചെയ്കയോ ജീവനെ രക്ഷിക്കയോ നശിപ്പിക്കയോ ഏതു വിഹിതം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

9. Then Jesus said to them, I will ask you one thing, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbaths, or to do ill, to save a life, or to destroy it?

10. അവരെ എല്ലാം ചുറ്റും നോക്കീട്ടു ആ മനുഷ്യനോടുകൈ നീട്ടുക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അവന് അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്തു, അവന്റെ കൈകൂ സൌഖ്യം വന്നു.

10. And having looked around at them all, He said to the man, Stretch out your hand! And he did so. And his hand was restored sound as the other.

11. അവരോ ഭൂാന്തു നിറഞ്ഞവരായി യേശുവിനെ എന്തു ചെയ്യേണ്ടു എന്നു തമ്മില് ആലോചന കഴിച്ചു.

11. But they were filled with madness and talked to one another as to what they might do to Jesus.

12. ആ കാലത്തു അവന് പ്രാര്ത്ഥിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഒരു മലയില് ചെന്നു ദൈവത്തോടുള്ള പ്രാര്ത്ഥനയില് രാത്രി കഴിച്ചു.

12. And it happened in these days, He went out into the mountain to pray. And He was spending the night in prayer to God.

13. നേരം വെളുത്തപ്പോള് അവന് ശിഷ്യന്മാരെ അടുക്കെ വിളിച്ചു, അവരില് പന്ത്രണ്ടുപേരെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു, അവര്ക്കും അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാര് എന്നും പേര് വിളിച്ചു.

13. And when it became day, He called His disciples, also choosing out twelve from them, whom He also named apostles:

14. അവര് ആരെന്നാല്പത്രൊസ് എന്നു അവന് പേര്വിളിച്ച ശിമോന് , അവന്റെ സഹോദരനായ അന്ത്രെയാസ്, യാക്കോബ്, യോഹന്നാന് , ഫിലിപ്പൊസ്, ബര്ത്തൊലൊമായി,

14. Simon, whom He also named Peter; and his brother Andrew; James and John; Philip and Bartholomew;

15. മത്തായി, തോമാസ്, അല്ഫായിയുടെ മകനായ യാക്കോബ്, എരിവുകാരനായ ശിമോന് ,

15. Matthew and Thomas; James the son of Alpheus, and Simon, the one being called Zealot;

16. യാക്കോബിന്റെ സഹോദരനായ യൂദാ, ദ്രോഹിയായ്തീര്ന്ന ഈസ്കായ്യോര്ത്ത് യൂദാ എന്നിവര് തന്നേ.

16. Judas brother of James; and Judas Iscariot, who also became the betrayer.

17. അവന് അവരോടു കൂടെ ഇറങ്ങി സമഭൂമിയില് നിന്നു; അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരുടെ കൂട്ടവും യെഹൂദ്യയില് എല്ലാടത്തുനിന്നും യെരൂശലേമില് നിന്നും സോര് സീദോന് എന്ന സമുദ്രതീരങ്ങളില് നിന്നും അവന്റെ വചനം കേള്പ്പാനും രോഗശാന്തി കിട്ടുവാനും വന്ന ബഹു പുരുഷാരവും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

17. And coming down with them, He stood on a level place. And a crowd of His disciples, and a great multitude of the people were there from all Judea and Jerusalem, and from the coast country of Tyre and Sidon. These came to hear Him, and to be healed from their diseases,

18. അശുദ്ധാത്മാക്കള് ബാധിച്ചവരും സൌഖ്യം പ്രാപിച്ചു.

18. also those who had been tormented by unclean spirits. And they were healed.

19. ശക്തി അവനില് നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു എല്ലാവരെയും സൌഖ്യമാക്കുകകൊണ്ടു പുരുഷാരം ഒക്കെയും അവനെ തൊടുവാന് ശ്രമിച്ചു.

19. And all the crowd sought to touch Him, because power went out from Him and healed all.

20. അനന്തരം അവന് ശിഷ്യന്മാരെ നോക്കി പറഞ്ഞതുദരിദ്രന്മാരായ നിങ്ങള് ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാര്, ദൈവരാജ്യം നിങ്ങള്ക്കുള്ളതു.

20. And lifting up His eyes to His disciples, He said: Blessed are the poor, for the kingdom of God is yours.

21. ഇപ്പോള് വിശക്കുന്നവരായ നിങ്ങള് ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാര്, നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തൃപ്തിവരും; ഇപ്പോള്കരയുന്നവരായ നിങ്ങള് ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാര്; നിങ്ങള് ചിരിക്കും.

21. Blessed are those hungering now, for you will be filled. Blessed are those weeping now, for you will laugh.

22. Blessed are you when men hate you, and when they cut you off, and will reproach you, and will cast out your name as evil, on account of the Son of Man;

23. ആ നാളില് സന്തോഷിച്ചു തുള്ളുവിന് ; നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രതിഫലം സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് വലിയതു; അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാര് പ്രവാചകന്മാരോടു അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ ചെയ്തുവല്ലോ.

23. rejoice in that day, and leap for joy; for, behold, your reward is much in Heaven! For their fathers did according to these things to the prophets.

24. എന്നാല് സമ്പന്നരായ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം; നിങ്ങളുടെ ആശ്വാസം നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ലഭിച്ചുപോയല്ലോ.

24. But woe to you, rich ones, for you have your comfort!

25. ഇപ്പോള് തൃപ്തന്മാരായ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം; നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വിശക്കും. ഇപ്പോള് ചിരിക്കുന്നവരായ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം; നിങ്ങള് ദുഃഖിച്ചു കരയും.

25. Woe to you, those having been filled, for you will hunger! Woe to you, those laughing now, for you will mourn and lament!

26. സകല മനുഷ്യരും നിങ്ങളെ പുകഴത്തിപ്പറയുമ്പോള് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം; അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാര് കള്ള പ്രവാചകന്മാരെ അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്തുവല്ലോ.

26. Woe to you when all men speak well of you, for their fathers did according to these things to the false prophets.

27. എന്നാല് കേള്ക്കുന്നവരായ നിങ്ങളോടു ഞാന് പറയുന്നതുനിങ്ങളുടെ ശത്രുക്കളെ സ്നേഹിപ്പിന് ; നിങ്ങളെ പകെക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും ഗുണം ചെയ്വിന് .

27. But I say to you, Those hearing: Love the ones hostile to you, do good to those hating you,

28. നിങ്ങളെ ശപിക്കുന്നവരെ അനുഗ്രഹിപ്പിന് ; നിങ്ങളെ ദുഷിക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും വേണ്ടി പ്രാര്ത്ഥിപ്പിന് .

28. bless those cursing you and pray for those insulting you.

29. നിന്നെ ഒരു ചെകിട്ടത്തു അടിക്കുന്നവന്നു മറ്റേതും കാണിച്ചുകൊടുക്ക; നിന്റെ പുതപ്പു എടുത്തുകളയുന്നവന്നു വസ്ത്രവും തടുക്കരുതു.

29. To those striking you on the cheek, turn the other also. And from those taking your garment, do not keep back the tunic also.

30. നിന്നോടു ചോദിക്കുന്ന ഏവന്നും കൊടുക്ക; നിനക്കുള്ളതു എടുത്തുകളയുന്നവനോടു മടക്കി ചോദിക്കരുതു.

30. And to everyone asking you, give. And do not ask back from those taking your things.

31. മനുഷ്യര് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ചെയ്യേണം എന്നു നിങ്ങള് ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ തന്നേ അവര്ക്കും ചെയ്വിന് .

31. And according as you desire that men should do to you, you also do the same to them.

32. നിങ്ങളെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവരെ സ്നേഹിച്ചാല് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു എന്തു ഉപചാരം കിട്ടും? പാപികളും തങ്ങളെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവരെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവല്ലോ.

32. And if you love those who love you, what thanks is there to you? For even sinners love those who love them.

33. നിങ്ങള്ക്കു നന്മചെയ്യുന്നവര്ക്കും നന്മ ചെയ്താല് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു എന്തു ഉപചാരം കിട്ടും? പാപികളും അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ ചെയ്യുന്നുവല്ലോ.

33. And if you do good to those who do good to you, what thanks is there to you? For even the sinners do the same.

34. മടക്കി വാങ്ങിക്കൊള്ളാം എന്നു നിങ്ങള് ആശിക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും കടം കൊടുത്താല് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു എന്തു കിട്ടും? പാപികളും കുറയാതെ മടക്കിവാങ്ങേണ്ടതിന്നു പാപികള്ക്കു കടം കൊടുക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

34. And if you lend to those from whom you hope to receive, what thanks is there to you? For the sinners lend to sinners so that they may receive the equal things.

35. നിങ്ങളോ ശത്രുക്കളെ സ്നേഹിപ്പിന് ; അവര്ക്കും നന്മ ചെയ്വിന് ; ഒന്നും പകരം ഇച്ഛിക്കാതെ കടം കൊടുപ്പിന് ; എന്നാല് നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രതിഫലം വളരെ ആകും; നിങ്ങള് അത്യുന്നതന്റെ മക്കള് ആകും; അവന് നന്ദികെട്ടവരോടും ദുഷ്ടന്മാരോടും ദയാലുവല്ലോ.

35. But love the ones hostile to you, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be much; and you will be sons of the Most High, for He is kind to the unthankful and evil ones.

36. Therefore, be merciful, even as your Father also is merciful.

37. വിധിക്കരുതു; എന്നാല് നിങ്ങളെയും വിധിക്കയില്ല; ശിക്ഷെക്കു വിധിക്കരുതു; എന്നാല് നിങ്ങള്ക്കും ശിക്ഷാവിധി ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല; വിടുവിന് ; എന്നാല് നിങ്ങളെയും വിടുവിക്കും.

37. Judge not, and in no way be judged. Do not condemn, and in no way you will be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

38. Give, and good measure will be given to you, pressed down and shaken together, and running over, they will give into your bosom. For the same measure which you measure, it will be measured back to you.

39. അവന് ഒരുപമയും അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞുകുരുടന്നു കരുടനെ വഴികാട്ടുവാന് കഴിയുമോ? ഇരുവരും കുഴിയില് വീഴുകയില്ലയോ? ശിഷ്യന് ഗുരുവിന്നു മീതെയല്ല,

39. And He spoke a parable to them: A blind one is not able to guide a blind one. Will they not both fall into the ditch?

40. അഭ്യാസം തികഞ്ഞവന് എല്ലാം ഗുരുവിനെപ്പോലെ ആകും.

40. A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone who has been perfected will be like his teacher.

41. എന്നാല് നീ സഹോദരന്റെ കണ്ണിലെ കരടു നോക്കുകയും സ്വന്തകണ്ണിലെ കോല് വിചാരിക്കാതിരിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നതു എന്തു?

41. But why do you look on the chip in your brother's eye, but do not consider the beam in your own eye?

42. അല്ല, സ്വന്തകണ്ണിലെ കോല് നോക്കാതെസഹോദരാ, നില്ലു; നിന്റെ കണ്ണിലെ കരടു എടുത്തുകളയട്ടെ എന്നു സഹോദരനോടു പറവാന് നിനക്കു എങ്ങനെ കഴിയും? കപടഭക്തിക്കാരാ, മുമ്പെ സ്വന്തകണ്ണിലെ കോല് എടുത്തുകളക; എന്നാല് സഹോദരന്റെ കണ്ണിലെ കരടു എടുത്തുകളവാന് വെടിപ്പായി കണുമല്ലോ.

42. Or how can you say to your brother, Brother, allow me to take out the chip in your eye, not yourself seeing the log in your eye? Hypocrite! First take the beam out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the chip in your brother's eye.

43. ആകാത്തഫലം കായക്കുന്ന നല്ല വൃക്ഷമില്ല; നല്ലഫലം കായക്കുന്ന ആകാത്ത വൃക്ഷവുമില്ല.

43. For there is not a good tree that produces bad fruit, nor a bad tree that produces good fruit.

44. ഏതു വൃക്ഷത്തെയും ഫലംകൊണ്ടു അറിയാം. മുള്ളില്നിന്നു അത്തിപ്പഴം ശേഖരിക്കുകയും ഞെരിഞ്ഞിലിലില് നിന്നു മുന്തിരിങ്ങാ പറിക്കയും ചെയ്യുമാറില്ലല്ലോ.

44. For each tree is known from its own fruit. For they do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they gather grapes from a bramble bush.

45. നല്ലമനുഷ്യന് തന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിലെ നല്ല നിക്ഷേപത്തില് നിന്നു നല്ലതു പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടന് ദോഷമായതില് നിന്നു ദോഷം പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കുന്നു. ഹൃദയത്തില് നിറഞ്ഞു കവിയുന്നതല്ലോ വായി പ്രസ്താവിക്കുന്നതു.

45. The good man brings forth good out of the good treasure of his heart. And the evil man brings forth evil out of the evil treasure of his heart, for his mouth speaks out of the abundance of his heart.

46. നിങ്ങള് എന്നെ കര്ത്താവേ, കര്ത്താവേ എന്നു വിളിക്കയും ഞാന് പറയുന്നതു ചെയ്യാതിരിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നതു എന്തു?

46. And why do you call Me Lord, Lord, and do not do what I say?

47. എന്റെ അടുക്കല് വന്നു എന്റെ വചനം കേട്ടു ചെയ്യുന്നവന് എല്ലാം ഇന്നവനോടു തുല്യന് എന്നു ഞാന് കാണിച്ചു തരാം.

47. Everyone coming to Me and hearing My Words, and doing them, I will show you to whom he is like:

48. ആഴെക്കുഴിച്ചു പാറമേല് അടിസ്ഥാനം ഇട്ടു വീടു പണിയുന്ന മനുഷ്യനോടു അവന് തുല്യന് . വെള്ളപ്പൊക്കം ഉണ്ടായിട്ടു ഒഴുകൂ വീട്ടിനോടു അടിച്ചു; എന്നാല് അതു നല്ലവണ്ണം പണിതിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു അതു ഇളകിപ്പോയില്ല.

48. He is like a man building a house, who dug and deepened, and laid a foundation on the rock. And a flood having occurred, the stream burst against that house and could not shake it, for it had been founded on the rock.

49. കേട്ടിട്ടു ചെയ്യാത്തവനോ അടിസ്ഥാനം കൂടാതെ മണ്ണിന്മേല് വീടു പണിത മനുഷ്യനോടു തുല്യന് . ഒഴുകൂ അടിച്ച ഉടനെ അതു വീണു; ആ വീട്ടിന്റെ വീഴ്ച വലിയതുമായിരുന്നു.

49. But he who heard and did not perform, he is like a man having built his house on the earth without a foundation, on which the stream burst, and it immediately fell; and the ruin of that house was great.
