1. ഒരു ശബ്ബത്തില് അവന് വിളഭൂമിയില് കൂടി കടന്നുപോകുമ്പോള് അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാര് കതിര് പറിച്ചു കൈകൊണ്ടു തിരുമ്മിതിന്നു.

1. It happened on an after(after principal) Sabbath, they(that he) went thorow the corn field, and (that) his disciples plucked the ears of corn, and ate them, and rubbed them in their hands.

2. പരീശന്മാരില് ചിലര് ശബ്ബത്തില് വിഹിതമല്ലാത്തതു നിങ്ങള്ചെയ്യുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

2. (And) Certain of the pharisees said unto them: Why do ye that which is not lawful to be done on the Sabbath days?

3. യേശു അവരോടുദാവീദ് തനിക്കും കൂടെയുള്ളവര്ക്കും വിശന്നപ്പോള് ചെയ്തതു എന്തു? അവന് ദൈവാലയത്തില് ചെന്നു

3. (And) Jesus answered them and said: Have ye not read what David did, when he himself was an hungered,(was hungry) and they which were with him:

4. പുരോഹിതന്മാര് മാത്രമല്ലാതെ ആരും തിന്നരുതാത്ത കാഴ്ചയപ്പം വാങ്ങി തിന്നുകയും കൂടെയുള്ളവര്ക്കും കൊടുക്കയും ചെയ്തു എന്നുള്ളതു നിങ്ങള് വായിച്ചിട്ടില്ലയോ എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

4. how he went into the house of God, and took and ate the loaves of hallowed bread,(shewbread) and gave also to them which were with him: which was not lawful to eat, but for the priests only.

5. മനുഷ്യപുത്രന് ശബ്ബത്തിന്നും കര്ത്താവു ആകുന്നു എന്നും അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

5. And he said unto them: The son of man is Lord even of the Sabbath day.

6. മറ്റൊരു ശബ്ബത്തില് അവന് പള്ളിയില് ചെന്നു ഉപദേശിക്കുമ്പോള് വലങ്കൈ വറണ്ടുള്ളോരു മനുഷ്യന് അവിടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

6. And it fortuned in another Sabbath also, that he entered into the synagogue and taught. And there was a man, whose right hand was dried up.(withered)

7. ശാസ്ത്രിമാരും പരീശന്മാരും അവനെ കുറ്റം ചുമത്തുവാന് സംഗതി കിട്ടേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന് ശബ്ബത്തില് സൌഖ്യമാക്കുമോ എന്നു നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

7. (And) The scribes, and pharisees watched him, to see whether he would heal on the Sabbath day or not, that they might find an accusation(occasion) against him.

8. അവരുടെ വിചാരം അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടു അവന് വരണ്ട കൈയുള്ള മനുഷ്യനോടുഎഴുന്നേറ്റു നടുവില് നില്ക്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു;

8. But he knew(perceived) their thoughts, and said to the man which had the withered hand: Rise up, and stand forth in the midst. (And) He arose, and stepped forth.

9. അവന് എഴുന്നേറ്റു നിന്നു. യേശു അവരോടുഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു ഒന്നു ചോദിക്കട്ടെശബ്ബത്തില് നന്മ ചെയ്കയോ തിന്മ ചെയ്കയോ ജീവനെ രക്ഷിക്കയോ നശിപ്പിക്കയോ ഏതു വിഹിതം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

9. Then said Jesus unto them: I will ask you a question: Whether is it lawful on the Sabbath days to do good, or to do evil? to save life or for to destroy it?

10. അവരെ എല്ലാം ചുറ്റും നോക്കീട്ടു ആ മനുഷ്യനോടുകൈ നീട്ടുക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അവന് അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്തു, അവന്റെ കൈകൂ സൌഖ്യം വന്നു.

10. And he beheld them all in compass, and said unto the man: Stretch forth thy hand. (And) He did so, and his hand was restored, and made as whole as the other.

11. അവരോ ഭൂാന്തു നിറഞ്ഞവരായി യേശുവിനെ എന്തു ചെയ്യേണ്ടു എന്നു തമ്മില് ആലോചന കഴിച്ചു.

11. And they were filled full of madness, and communed one with another, what they might do to Jesu.

12. ആ കാലത്തു അവന് പ്രാര്ത്ഥിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഒരു മലയില് ചെന്നു ദൈവത്തോടുള്ള പ്രാര്ത്ഥനയില് രാത്രി കഴിച്ചു.

12. (And) It fortuned in those days, (that) he went out into a mountain for to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.

13. നേരം വെളുത്തപ്പോള് അവന് ശിഷ്യന്മാരെ അടുക്കെ വിളിച്ചു, അവരില് പന്ത്രണ്ടുപേരെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു, അവര്ക്കും അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാര് എന്നും പേര് വിളിച്ചു.

13. And as soon as it was day, he called his disciples, and of them he chose twelve, which also he called his apostles.

14. അവര് ആരെന്നാല്പത്രൊസ് എന്നു അവന് പേര്വിളിച്ച ശിമോന് , അവന്റെ സഹോദരനായ അന്ത്രെയാസ്, യാക്കോബ്, യോഹന്നാന് , ഫിലിപ്പൊസ്, ബര്ത്തൊലൊമായി,

14. Simon, whom also he named Peter: and Andrew his brother, James and John, Philip and Bartlemew;

15. മത്തായി, തോമാസ്, അല്ഫായിയുടെ മകനായ യാക്കോബ്, എരിവുകാരനായ ശിമോന് ,

15. Matthew and Thomas, James the son of Alpheus and Simon called Zelotes,

16. യാക്കോബിന്റെ സഹോദരനായ യൂദാ, ദ്രോഹിയായ്തീര്ന്ന ഈസ്കായ്യോര്ത്ത് യൂദാ എന്നിവര് തന്നേ.

16. and Judas James' son, and Judas Iscariot, which same was the traitor.

17. അവന് അവരോടു കൂടെ ഇറങ്ങി സമഭൂമിയില് നിന്നു; അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരുടെ കൂട്ടവും യെഹൂദ്യയില് എല്ലാടത്തുനിന്നും യെരൂശലേമില് നിന്നും സോര് സീദോന് എന്ന സമുദ്രതീരങ്ങളില് നിന്നും അവന്റെ വചനം കേള്പ്പാനും രോഗശാന്തി കിട്ടുവാനും വന്ന ബഹു പുരുഷാരവും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

17. And he came down with them and stood in the plain field with the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people out of all parts of Jury(Iurie) and Jerusalem, and from the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, which came to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases,

18. അശുദ്ധാത്മാക്കള് ബാധിച്ചവരും സൌഖ്യം പ്രാപിച്ചു.

18. and they also that were vexed with foul spirits, and they were healed.

19. ശക്തി അവനില് നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു എല്ലാവരെയും സൌഖ്യമാക്കുകകൊണ്ടു പുരുഷാരം ഒക്കെയും അവനെ തൊടുവാന് ശ്രമിച്ചു.

19. And all the people pressed(sought) to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all.

20. അനന്തരം അവന് ശിഷ്യന്മാരെ നോക്കി പറഞ്ഞതുദരിദ്രന്മാരായ നിങ്ങള് ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാര്, ദൈവരാജ്യം നിങ്ങള്ക്കുള്ളതു.

20. And he lifted up his eyes upon the disciples, and said: Blessed are(be) ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.

21. ഇപ്പോള് വിശക്കുന്നവരായ നിങ്ങള് ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാര്, നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തൃപ്തിവരും; ഇപ്പോള്കരയുന്നവരായ നിങ്ങള് ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാര്; നിങ്ങള് ചിരിക്കും.

21. Blessed are ye that hunger: (now) for ye shall be satisfied. Blessed are ye that weep: (now) for ye shall laugh.

22. മനുഷ്യപുത്രന് നിമിത്തം മനുഷ്യര് നിങ്ങളെ ദ്വേഷിച്ചു ഭ്രഷ്ടരാക്കി നിന്ദിച്ചു നിങ്ങളുടെ പേര് വിടകൂ എന്നു തള്ളുമ്പോള് നിങ്ങള് ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാര്.

22. Blessed are ye when men hate you, and thrust you out of their company, and rail on(revile) you, and abhor your name, as an evil thing, for the son of man's sake.

23. ആ നാളില് സന്തോഷിച്ചു തുള്ളുവിന് ; നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രതിഫലം സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് വലിയതു; അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാര് പ്രവാചകന്മാരോടു അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ ചെയ്തുവല്ലോ.

23. Rejoice ye then, and be glad: for behold your reward is great in heaven. After this manner their fathers entreated the prophets.

24. എന്നാല് സമ്പന്നരായ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം; നിങ്ങളുടെ ആശ്വാസം നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ലഭിച്ചുപോയല്ലോ.

24. But woe be to you that are rich: for ye have therein your consolation.

25. ഇപ്പോള് തൃപ്തന്മാരായ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം; നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വിശക്കും. ഇപ്പോള് ചിരിക്കുന്നവരായ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം; നിങ്ങള് ദുഃഖിച്ചു കരയും.

25. Woe be to you that are full: for ye shall hunger. Woe be to you that now laugh: for ye shall wail, and weep.

26. സകല മനുഷ്യരും നിങ്ങളെ പുകഴത്തിപ്പറയുമ്പോള് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം; അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാര് കള്ള പ്രവാചകന്മാരെ അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്തുവല്ലോ.

26. Woe be to you when all men praise you: for so did their fathers to the false prophets.

27. എന്നാല് കേള്ക്കുന്നവരായ നിങ്ങളോടു ഞാന് പറയുന്നതുനിങ്ങളുടെ ശത്രുക്കളെ സ്നേഹിപ്പിന് ; നിങ്ങളെ പകെക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും ഗുണം ചെയ്വിന് .
സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 25:21

27. But I say unto you which hear: Love your enemies. Do good to them which hate you.

28. നിങ്ങളെ ശപിക്കുന്നവരെ അനുഗ്രഹിപ്പിന് ; നിങ്ങളെ ദുഷിക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും വേണ്ടി പ്രാര്ത്ഥിപ്പിന് .

28. Bless them that curse you. And pray for them which wrongfully trouble you.

29. നിന്നെ ഒരു ചെകിട്ടത്തു അടിക്കുന്നവന്നു മറ്റേതും കാണിച്ചുകൊടുക്ക; നിന്റെ പുതപ്പു എടുത്തുകളയുന്നവന്നു വസ്ത്രവും തടുക്കരുതു.

29. And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek, offer also the other. And him that taketh away thy gown, forbid not to take thy coat also.

30. നിന്നോടു ചോദിക്കുന്ന ഏവന്നും കൊടുക്ക; നിനക്കുള്ളതു എടുത്തുകളയുന്നവനോടു മടക്കി ചോദിക്കരുതു.

30. Give to every man that asketh of thee. And if any man(of him that taketh) that take away thy goods, ask them not again.

31. മനുഷ്യര് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ചെയ്യേണം എന്നു നിങ്ങള് ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ തന്നേ അവര്ക്കും ചെയ്വിന് .

31. And as ye would that men should do to you: so do ye to them likewise.

32. നിങ്ങളെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവരെ സ്നേഹിച്ചാല് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു എന്തു ഉപചാരം കിട്ടും? പാപികളും തങ്ങളെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവരെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവല്ലോ.

32. If ye love them which love you: what thank are ye worthy of? seeing that(For) the very sinners love their lovers.

33. നിങ്ങള്ക്കു നന്മചെയ്യുന്നവര്ക്കും നന്മ ചെയ്താല് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു എന്തു ഉപചാരം കിട്ടും? പാപികളും അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ ചെയ്യുന്നുവല്ലോ.

33. And if ye do for them which do for you: what thank are ye worthy of? For the very sinners do even the same.

34. മടക്കി വാങ്ങിക്കൊള്ളാം എന്നു നിങ്ങള് ആശിക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും കടം കൊടുത്താല് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു എന്തു കിട്ടും? പാപികളും കുറയാതെ മടക്കിവാങ്ങേണ്ടതിന്നു പാപികള്ക്കു കടം കൊടുക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

34. If ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive: what thank shall ye have: for the very sinners, lend to sinners, to receive as much again.

35. നിങ്ങളോ ശത്രുക്കളെ സ്നേഹിപ്പിന് ; അവര്ക്കും നന്മ ചെയ്വിന് ; ഒന്നും പകരം ഇച്ഛിക്കാതെ കടം കൊടുപ്പിന് ; എന്നാല് നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രതിഫലം വളരെ ആകും; നിങ്ങള് അത്യുന്നതന്റെ മക്കള് ആകും; അവന് നന്ദികെട്ടവരോടും ദുഷ്ടന്മാരോടും ദയാലുവല്ലോ.

35. (Wherefore,) Love ye your enemies, do good, and lend, looking for nothing again: and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the highest: for he is kind unto the unkind,(unthankful) and to the evil.

36. അങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവു മനസ്സലിവുള്ളവന് ആകുന്നതുപോലെ നിങ്ങളും മനസ്സലിവുള്ളവര് ആകുവിന് .

36. Be ye therefore merciful, as your father is merciful.

37. വിധിക്കരുതു; എന്നാല് നിങ്ങളെയും വിധിക്കയില്ല; ശിക്ഷെക്കു വിധിക്കരുതു; എന്നാല് നിങ്ങള്ക്കും ശിക്ഷാവിധി ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല; വിടുവിന് ; എന്നാല് നിങ്ങളെയും വിടുവിക്കും.

37. Judge not and ye shall not be judged. Condemn not: and ye shall not be condemned. Forgive, and ye shall be forgiven.

38. കൊടുപ്പിന് ; എന്നാല് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു കിട്ടും; അമര്ത്തി കുലുക്കി കവിയുന്നൊരു നല്ല അളവു നിങ്ങളുടെ മടിയില് തരും; നിങ്ങള് അളക്കുന്ന അളവിനാല് നിങ്ങള്ക്കും അളന്നു കിട്ടും.

38. Give, and it shall be given unto you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosoms. For with what measure ye mete, with the same shall men mete(shall it be measured) to you again.

39. അവന് ഒരുപമയും അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞുകുരുടന്നു കരുടനെ വഴികാട്ടുവാന് കഴിയുമോ? ഇരുവരും കുഴിയില് വീഴുകയില്ലയോ? ശിഷ്യന് ഗുരുവിന്നു മീതെയല്ല,

39. And he put forth a similitude unto them: Can the blind lead the blind? Do they not both then fall into the ditch?

40. അഭ്യാസം തികഞ്ഞവന് എല്ലാം ഗുരുവിനെപ്പോലെ ആകും.

40. The disciple is not above his master. Every man shall be perfect, even as his master is.

41. എന്നാല് നീ സഹോദരന്റെ കണ്ണിലെ കരടു നോക്കുകയും സ്വന്തകണ്ണിലെ കോല് വിചാരിക്കാതിരിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നതു എന്തു?

41. Why seest thou a mote in thy brother's eye, and considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

42. അല്ല, സ്വന്തകണ്ണിലെ കോല് നോക്കാതെസഹോദരാ, നില്ലു; നിന്റെ കണ്ണിലെ കരടു എടുത്തുകളയട്ടെ എന്നു സഹോദരനോടു പറവാന് നിനക്കു എങ്ങനെ കഴിയും? കപടഭക്തിക്കാരാ, മുമ്പെ സ്വന്തകണ്ണിലെ കോല് എടുത്തുകളക; എന്നാല് സഹോദരന്റെ കണ്ണിലെ കരടു എടുത്തുകളവാന് വെടിപ്പായി കണുമല്ലോ.

42. Other(Either) how canst thou say to thy brother: Brother let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye: when thou perceivest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Hypocrite, cast out the beam out of thine own eye first, and then shalt thou see perfectly,(clearly) to pull out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

43. ആകാത്തഫലം കായക്കുന്ന നല്ല വൃക്ഷമില്ല; നല്ലഫലം കായക്കുന്ന ആകാത്ത വൃക്ഷവുമില്ല.

43. It is not a good tree that bringeth forth evil fruit: Neither is that an evil tree, that bringeth forth good fruit.

44. ഏതു വൃക്ഷത്തെയും ഫലംകൊണ്ടു അറിയാം. മുള്ളില്നിന്നു അത്തിപ്പഴം ശേഖരിക്കുകയും ഞെരിഞ്ഞിലിലില് നിന്നു മുന്തിരിങ്ങാ പറിക്കയും ചെയ്യുമാറില്ലല്ലോ.

44. For every tree is known by his fruit. Neither of thorns gather men figs, nor of bushes gather they grapes.

45. നല്ലമനുഷ്യന് തന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിലെ നല്ല നിക്ഷേപത്തില് നിന്നു നല്ലതു പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടന് ദോഷമായതില് നിന്നു ദോഷം പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കുന്നു. ഹൃദയത്തില് നിറഞ്ഞു കവിയുന്നതല്ലോ വായി പ്രസ്താവിക്കുന്നതു.

45. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good. And the(an) evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart, bringeth forth that which is evil. For of the abundance of the heart, the(his) mouth(mought) speaketh.

46. നിങ്ങള് എന്നെ കര്ത്താവേ, കര്ത്താവേ എന്നു വിളിക്കയും ഞാന് പറയുന്നതു ചെയ്യാതിരിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നതു എന്തു?
മലാഖി 1:6

46. Why call ye me Master, Master: and do not as I bid you?

47. എന്റെ അടുക്കല് വന്നു എന്റെ വചനം കേട്ടു ചെയ്യുന്നവന് എല്ലാം ഇന്നവനോടു തുല്യന് എന്നു ഞാന് കാണിച്ചു തരാം.

47. whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doth the same, I will shew you to whom he is like.

48. ആഴെക്കുഴിച്ചു പാറമേല് അടിസ്ഥാനം ഇട്ടു വീടു പണിയുന്ന മനുഷ്യനോടു അവന് തുല്യന് . വെള്ളപ്പൊക്കം ഉണ്ടായിട്ടു ഒഴുകൂ വീട്ടിനോടു അടിച്ചു; എന്നാല് അതു നല്ലവണ്ണം പണിതിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു അതു ഇളകിപ്പോയില്ല.

48. He is like a man which built an house: which(and) digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock. When the waters arose, the flood beat upon that house, and could not move it. For it was grounded upon a rock.

49. കേട്ടിട്ടു ചെയ്യാത്തവനോ അടിസ്ഥാനം കൂടാതെ മണ്ണിന്മേല് വീടു പണിത മനുഷ്യനോടു തുല്യന് . ഒഴുകൂ അടിച്ച ഉടനെ അതു വീണു; ആ വീട്ടിന്റെ വീഴ്ച വലിയതുമായിരുന്നു.

49. But he that heareth and doth not, is like a man, that without foundation built an house upon the earth, against which, the flood(did) beat: and it fell by and by. And the fall of that house was great.
