1. അനന്തരം അവന് അഥേന വിട്ടു കൊരിന്തില് ചെന്നു.

1. And after these things Paul having separated from Athens, he came to Corinth.

2. യെഹൂദന്മാര് എല്ലാവരും റോമനഗരം വിട്ടു പോകണം എന്നു ക്ളൌദ്യൊസ് കല്പിച്ചതു കൊണ്ടു ഇത്തല്യയില് നിന്നു ആ ഇടെക്കു വന്നവനായി പൊന്തൊസ്കാരന് അക്വിലാസ് എന്നു പേരുള്ളോരു യെഹൂദനെയും അവന്റെ ഭാര്യ പ്രിസ്കില്ലയെയും കണ്ടു അവരുടെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നു.

2. And having found a certain Jew named Aquila, a man of Pontus by origin, who recently came from Italy, and his wife Priscilla, because Claudius arranged for all the Jews to separate from Rome, he came to them.

3. തൊഴില് ഒന്നാകകൊണ്ടു അവന് അവരോടുകൂടെ പാര്ത്തു വേല ചെയ്തുപോന്നു; തൊഴിലോ കൂടാരപ്പണിയായിരുന്നു.

3. And because he was of the same craft, he abode with them, and was working, for they were of the tentmakers craft.

4. എന്നാല് ശബ്ബത്ത് തോറും അവന് പള്ളിയില് സംവാദിച്ചു യെഹൂദന്മാരെയും യവനന്മാരെയും സമ്മതിപ്പിച്ചു.

4. And he was discoursing in the synagogue every Sabbath, and was persuading Jews and Greeks.

5. ശീലാസും തിമൊഥെയൊസും മക്കെദോന്യയില് നിന്നു വന്നാറെ പൌലൊസ് വചനഘോഷണത്തില് ശുഷ്കാന്തിപൂണ്ടു യേശു തന്നേ ക്രിസ്തു എന്നു യെഹൂദന്മാര്ക്കും സാക്ഷീകരിച്ചു.

5. And when both Silas and Timothy came down from Macedonia, Paul was being held by the Spirit, fully testifying to the Jews, Jesus the Christ.

6. അവര് എതിര് പറയുകയും ദുഷിക്കയും ചെയ്കയാല് അവന് വസ്ത്രം കുടഞ്ഞുനിങ്ങളുടെ നാശത്തിന്നു നിങ്ങള് തന്നേ ഉത്തരവാദികള്; ഞാന് നിര്മ്മലന് ഇനിമേല് ഞാന് ജാതികളുടെ അടുക്കല് പോകും എന്നു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

6. But when they opposed and slandered him, having shaken out his clothes, he said to them, Your blood is upon your heads. I am clean. From henceforth I will go to the Gentiles.

7. അവന് അവിടം വിട്ടു തീത്തൊസ് യുസ്കൊസ് എന്ന ഒരു ദൈവഭക്തന്റെ വീട്ടില് ചെന്നു; അവന്റെ വീടു പള്ളിയോടു തൊട്ടിരുന്നു.

7. And having departed from there, he went into the house of a certain man named Justus, who worships God, whose house was adjoining the synagogue.

8. പള്ളി പ്രമാണിയായ ക്രിസ്പൊസ് തന്റെ സകല കുടുംബത്തോടുംകൂടെ കര്ത്താവില് വിശ്വസിച്ചു; കൊരിന്ത്യരില് അനേകര് വചനം കേട്ടു വിശ്വസിച്ചു സ്നാനം ഏറ്റു.

8. And Crispus, the synagogue ruler, believed in the Lord with his whole household, and many of the Corinthians who heard believed, and were immersed.

9. രാത്രിയില് കര്ത്താവു ദര്ശനത്തില് പൌലൊസിനോടുനീ ഭയപ്പെടാതെ പ്രസംഗിക്ക; മിണ്ടാതിരിക്കരുത്; ഞാന് നിന്നോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടു; ആരും നിന്നെ കയ്യേറ്റം ചെയ്തു ദോഷപ്പെടുത്തുകയില്ല; ഈ പട്ടണത്തില് എനിക്കു വളരെ ജനം ഉണ്ടു എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

9. And the Lord spoke to Paul by a vision at night, Fear not, but speak, and be not silent,

10. അങ്ങനെ അവന് ഒരാണ്ടും ആറുമാസവും അവരുടെ ഇടയില് ദൈവവചനം ഉപദേശിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു താമസിച്ചു.

10. because I am with thee, and no man will lay upon thee to harm thee, because many people are for me in this city.

11. ഗല്ലിയോന് അഖായയില് ദേശഅധിപതിയായി വാഴുമ്പോള് യെഹൂദന്മാര് പൌലൊസിന്റെ നേരെ ഒരുമനപ്പെട്ടു എഴുന്നേറ്റു, അവനെ ന്യായാസനത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ കൊണ്ടു ചെന്നു

11. And he remained a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them.

12. ഇവന് ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിന്നു വിരോധമായി ദൈവത്തെ ഭജിപ്പാന് മനുഷ്യരെ സമ്മതിപ്പിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

12. But Gallio being proconsul of Achaia, the Jews with one accord attacked Paul and brought him to the judgment seat,

13. പൌലൊസ് വായ്തുറപ്പാന് ഭാവിക്കുമ്പോള് ഗല്ലിയോന് യെഹൂദന്മാരോടുയെഹൂദന്മാരേ, വല്ല അന്യായമോ വല്ലാത്ത പാതകമോ ആയിരുന്നെങ്കില് ഞാന് ക്ഷമയോടെ നിങ്ങളുടെ സങ്കടം കേള്ക്കുമായിരുന്നു.

13. saying, This man is persuading men to worship God against the law.

14. വചനത്തെയും നാമങ്ങളെയും നിങ്ങളുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തെയും സംബന്ധിച്ചുള്ള തര്ക്കസംഗതികള് എങ്കിലോ നിങ്ങള് തന്നേ നോക്കിക്കൊള്വിന് ; ഈ വകെക്കു ന്യായാധിപതി ആകുവാന് എനിക്കു മനസ്സില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു

14. But when Paul was going to open his mouth, Gallio said to the Jews, If therefore indeed it were some crime or evil reckless deed, O ye Jews, I would have tolerated you according to the matter.

15. അവരെ ന്യായാസനത്തിങ്കല്നിന്നു പുറത്താക്കി.

15. But if it is an issue about a word and names and the law from you, look ye yourselves, for I do not intend to be a judge of these things.

16. എല്ലാവരും പള്ളിപ്രമാണിയായ സോസ്ഥനേസിനെ പിടിച്ചു ന്യായാസനത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പില് വെച്ചു അടിച്ചു; ഇതു ഒന്നും ഗല്ലിയോന് കൂട്ടാക്കിയില്ല.

16. And he drove them from the judgment seat.

17. പൌലൊസ് പിന്നെയും കുറെനാള് പാര്ത്തശേഷം സഹോദരന്മാരോടു യാത്ര പറഞ്ഞിട്ടു, തനിക്കു ഒരു നേര്ച്ച ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നതിനാല് കെംക്രയയില് വെച്ചു തല ക്ഷൌരം ചെയ്യിച്ചിട്ടു പ്രിസ്കില്ലയോടും അക്വിലാസിനോടും കൂടെ കപ്പല് കയറി സുറിയയിലേക്കു പുറപ്പെട്ടു

17. But all the Greeks, having taken Sosthenes the synagogue ruler, were beating him in front of the judgment seat. And Gallio was not going to judge, even of these things.

18. എഫെസോസില് എത്തി അവരെ അവിടെ വിട്ടു, അവന് പള്ളിയില് ചെന്നു യെഹൂദന്മാരോടു സംഭാഷിച്ചു.

18. But Paul, who still remained considerable days with the brothers, having separated, sailed away to Syria (and with him Priscilla and Aquila), having shaved his head in Cenchrea, for he had a vow.

19. കുറെ കൂടെ താമസിക്കേണം എന്നു അവര് അപേക്ഷിച്ചിട്ടു അവന് സമ്മതിക്കാതെ

19. And he came to Ephesus and left behind those there, but having entered into the synagogue himself, he discoursed with the Jews.

20. ദൈവഹിതമുണ്ടെങ്കില് ഞാന് നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കല് മടങ്ങിവരും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു വിടവാങ്ങി എഫെസൊസില്നിന്നു കപ്പല് നീക്കി,

20. And when they asked him to remain on more time with them, he did not consent,

21. കൈസര്യയില് വന്നിറങ്ങി, യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു ചെന്നു, സഭയെ വന്ദനം ചെയ്തിട്ടു അന്തൊക്ക്യയിലേക്കു പോയി.

21. but separated from them, having said, I must definitely keep the coming feast at Jerusalem, but I will return again to you, God willing. And he launched from Ephesus.

22. അവിടെ കുറെനാള് താമസിച്ച ശേഷം പുറപ്പെട്ടു, ക്രമത്താലെ ഗലാത്യദേശത്തിലും ഫ്രുഗ്യയിലും സഞ്ചരിച്ചു ശിഷ്യന്മാരെ ഒക്കെയും ഉറപ്പിച്ചു.

22. And after coming down to Caesarea, having gone up and greeted the church, he went down to Antioch.

23. അലക്സാന്ത്രിയക്കാരനായി വാഗ്വൈഭവവും തിരുവെഴുത്തുകളില് സാമര്ത്ഥ്യവുമുള്ള അപ്പൊല്ലോസ് എന്നു പേരുള്ളോരു യെഹൂദന് എഫെസോസില് എത്തി.

23. And after spending some time, he departed, passing through the region of Galatia and Phrygia, successively, strengthening all the disciples.

24. അവന് കര്ത്താവിന്റെ മാര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് ഉപദേശം ലഭിച്ചവന് ആയിരുന്നു; യോഹന്നാന്റെ സ്നാനത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു മാത്രം അറിഞ്ഞിരുന്നു എങ്കിലും ആത്മാവില് എരിവുള്ളവനാകയാല് അവന് യേശുവിന്റെ വസ്തുത സൂക്ഷമമായി പ്രസ്താവിക്കയും ഉപദേശിക്കയും ചെയ്തു.

24. Now a certain Jew named Apollos, an Alexandrian by origin, an eloquent man, came to Ephesus, being mighty in the scriptures.

25. അവന് പള്ളിയില് പ്രാഗത്ഭ്യത്തോടെ പ്രസംഗിച്ചുതുടങ്ങി; അക്വിലാസും പ്രിസ്കില്ലയും അവന്റെ പ്രസംഗം കേട്ടാറെ അവനെ ചേര്ത്തുകൊണ്ടു ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മാര്ഗ്ഗം അധികം സ്പഷ്ടമായി അവന്നു തെളിയിച്ചുകൊടുത്തു.

25. This was a man who was instructed in the way of the Lord. And being fervent in the Spirit, he was speaking and teaching accurately the things about the Lord, knowing only the immersion of John.

26. അവന് അഖായയിലേക്കു പോകുവാന് ഇച്ഛിച്ചപ്പോള് സഹോദരന്മാര് അവനെ ഉത്സാഹിപ്പിക്കയും അവനെ കൈക്കൊള്ളേണ്ടിതിന്നു ശിഷ്യന്മാര്ക്കും എഴുതുകയും ചെയ്തു; അവിടെ എത്തിയാറെ അവന് ദൈവകൃപയാല് വിശ്വസിച്ചവര്ക്കും വളരെ പ്രയോജനമായിത്തിര്ന്നു.

26. And this man began to speak boldly in the synagogue, but when Aquila and Priscilla heard him, they took him aside, and expounded to him the way of God more accurately.

27. യേശു തന്നേ ക്രിസ്തു എന്നു അവന് തിരുവെഴുത്തുകളാല് തെളിയിച്ചു ബലത്തോടെ യെഹൂദന്മാരെ പരസ്യമായി ഖണ്ഡിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.

27. And when he intended to pass through into Achaia, the brothers wrote, having encouraged the disciples to receive him, who, when he arrived, assisted much those who believed through the grace.
