1. ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിന്റെ ദാസന്മാരായ പൌലോസും തിമൊഥെയോസും ഫിലിപ്പിയില് ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിലുള്ള സകല വിശുദ്ധന്മാര്ക്കും അദ്ധ്യക്ഷന്മാര്ക്കും ശുശ്രൂഷന്മാര്ക്കും കൂടെ എഴുതുന്നതു

1. Paul and Timothy, bondmen of Jesus Christ, to all the sanctified in Jesus Christ who are at Philippi, with the guardians and helpers:

2. നമ്മുടെ പിതാവായ ദൈവത്തിങ്കല് നിന്നും കര്ത്താവായ ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിങ്കല് നിന്നും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു കൃപയും സമാധാനവും ഉണ്ടാകട്ടെ.

2. Grace to you and peace from God our Father and Lord Jesus Christ.

3. ഞാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു എല്ലാവര്ക്കും വേണ്ടി കഴിക്കുന്ന സകലപ്രാര്ത്ഥനയിലും എപ്പോഴും സന്തോഷത്തോടെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥിച്ചും

3. I thank my God upon every memory of you,

4. നിങ്ങളില് നല്ല പ്രവൃത്തിയെ ആരംഭിച്ചവന് യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ നാളോളം അതിനെ തികെക്കും എന്നു ഉറപ്പായി വിശ്വസിച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

4. always in my every entreaty for all of you, making the entreaty with joy

5. ഒന്നാംനാള് മുതല് ഇതുവരെയും സുവിശേഷഘോഷണത്തില് നിങ്ങള്ക്കുള്ള കൂട്ടായ്മ നിമിത്തം

5. for your participation in the good-news from the first day until now.

6. ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ ഔര്ക്കുംമ്പോള് ഒക്കെയും എന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്നു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്യുന്നു.

6. Being confident of this same thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Christ Jesus.

7. കൃപയില് എനിക്കു കൂട്ടാളികളായ നിങ്ങളെ ഒക്കെയും എന്റെ ബന്ധനങ്ങളിലും സുവിശേഷത്തിന്റെ പ്രതിവാദത്തിലും സ്ഥിരീകരണത്തിലും ഞാന് എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തില് വഹിച്ചിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു അങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങളെ എല്ലാവരെയും കുറിച്ചു വിചാരിക്കുന്നതു എനിക്കു ന്യായമല്ലോ.

7. Just as it is right for me to think this about all of you, because I have you in my heart, both in my bonds and in the defense and confirmation of the good-news, you all being partners with me of the grace.

8. ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിന്റെ ആര്ദ്രതയോടെ ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ എല്ലാവരെയും കാണ്മാന് എത്ര വാഞ്ഛിക്കുന്നു എന്നതിന്നു ദൈവം സാക്ഷി.

8. For God is my witness, how I long for you all in bowels of Jesus Christ.

9. നിങ്ങളുടെ സ്നേഹം മേലക്കുമേല് പരിജ്ഞാനത്തിലും സകല വിവേകത്തിലും വര്ദ്ധിച്ചു വന്നിട്ടു

9. And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment

10. നിങ്ങള് ഭേദാഭേദങ്ങളെ വിവേചിപ്പാറാകേണം എന്നും ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ നാളിലേക്കു നിര്മ്മലന്മാരും ഇടര്ച്ചയില്ലാത്തവരും

10. for you to examine the things that are significant. So that ye may be tested by sunlight and not stumbling toward the day of Christ,

11. ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മഹത്വത്തിന്നും പുകഴ്ചെക്കുമായിട്ടു യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിനാല് നീതി ഫലം നിറഞ്ഞവരുമായി തീരേണം എന്നും ഞാന് പ്രാര്ത്ഥിക്കുന്നു.

11. having been filled with fruits of righteousness, through Jesus Christ, for glory and praise of God.

12. സഹോദരന്മാരേ, എനിക്കു ഭവിച്ചതു സുവിശേഷത്തിന്റെ അഭിവൃദ്ധിക്കു കാരണമായിത്തീര്ന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങള് അറിവാന് ഞാന് ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നു.

12. But I want you to know, brothers, that the things in respect to me have come more for the advancement of the good-news,

13. എന്റെ ബന്ധനങ്ങള് ക്രിസ്തുനിമിത്തമാകുന്നു എന്നു അകമ്പടിപട്ടാളത്തില് ഒക്കെയും ശേഷം എല്ലാവര്ക്കും തെളിവായിവരികയും

13. in order for my bonds in Christ to became apparent in the whole Praetorium, and in all the others.

14. സഹോദരന്മാര് മിക്കപേരും എന്റെ ബന്ധനങ്ങളാല് കര്ത്താവില് ധൈര്യം പൂണ്ടു ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വചനം ഭയംകൂടാതെ പ്രസ്താവിപ്പാന് അധികം തുനിയുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

14. And more of the brothers in Lord have been convinced by my bonds to be much more bold to speak the word fearlessly.

15. ചിലര് ക്രിസ്തുവിനെ അസൂയയും പിണക്കവും നിമിത്തം പ്രസംഗിക്കുന്നു;

15. Actually some also preach the Christ because of envy and strife, and some also because of good-will.

16. ചിലരോ നല്ല മനസ്സോടെ തന്നേ. അവര് സുവിശേഷത്തിന്റെ പ്രതിവാദത്തിന്നായിട്ടു ഞാന് ഇവിടെ കിടക്കുന്നു എന്നു അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടു അതു സ്നേഹത്താല് ചെയ്യുന്നു.

16. Some indeed proclaim the Christ from selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing to bring affliction to my bonds.

17. മറ്റവരോ എന്റെ ബന്ധനങ്ങളില് എനിക്കു ക്ളേശം വരുത്തുവാന് ഭാവിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു നിര്മ്മലതയോടെയല്ല ശാഠ്യത്താല് അത്രേ ക്രിസ്തുവിനെ പ്രസംഗിക്കുന്നതു.

17. But some from love, knowing that I am set for the defense of the good-news.

18. പിന്നെ എന്തു? നാട്യമായിട്ടോ പരമാര്ത്ഥമായിട്ടോ ഏതുവിധമായാലും ക്രിസ്തുവിനെ അല്ലോ പ്രസംഗിക്കുന്നതു. ഇതില് ഞാന് സന്തോഷിക്കുന്നു; ഇനിയും സന്തോഷിക്കും.

18. What then? Except in every way, whether in pretence or in truth, Christ is proclaimed, and in this I rejoice, but also I will rejoice.

19. നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥനയാലും യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ ആത്മാവിന്റെ സഹായത്താലും അതു എനിക്കു രക്ഷാകാരണമായിത്തീരും എന്നു ഞാന് അറിയുന്നു.

19. For I know that this will turn out to me for salvation (through your entreaty, and the support of the Spirit of Jesus Christ)

20. അങ്ങനെ ഞാന് ഒന്നിലും ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോകാതെ പൂര്ണ്ണധൈര്യം പൂണ്ടു ക്രിസ്തു എന്റെ ശരീരത്തിങ്കല് ജീവനാല് ആകട്ടെ മരണത്താല് ആകട്ടെ എപ്പോഴും എന്നപോലെ ഇപ്പോഴും മഹിമപ്പെടുകേയുള്ളു എന്നു പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കയും പ്രത്യശിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

20. according to my eager expectation and hope that I will be shamed in nothing. But with all boldness, now as always, Christ will also be magnified in my body, whether through life or through death.

21. എനിക്കു ജീവിക്കുന്നതു ക്രിസ്തുവും മരിക്കുന്നതു ലാഭവും ആകുന്നു.

21. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

22. എന്നാല് ജഡത്തില് ജീവിക്കുന്നതിനാല് എന്റെ വേലെക്കു ഫലം വരുമെങ്കില് ഏതുതിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കേണ്ടു എന്നു ഞാന് അറിയുന്നില്ല.

22. But if to live in flesh, this is fruit of labor to me, then what I will choose I know not.

23. ഇവ രണ്ടിനാലും ഞാന് ഞെരുങ്ങുന്നു; വിട്ടു പിരിഞ്ഞു ക്രിസ്തുവിനോടുകൂടെ ഇരിപ്പാന് എനിക്കു കാംക്ഷയുണ്ടു; അതു അത്യുത്തമമല്ലോ.

23. And I am constrained by the two, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, being far better.

24. എന്നാല് ഞാന് ജഡത്തില് ഇരിക്കുന്നതു നിങ്ങള് നിമിത്തം ഏറെ ആവശ്യം.

24. But to remain in the flesh is more necessary because of you.

25. ഇങ്ങനെ ഉറെച്ചുകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങളുടെ വിശ്വാസത്തിന്റെ അഭിവൃദ്ധിക്കും സന്തോഷത്തിന്നുമായി തന്നേ ഞാന് ജീവനോടിരിക്കും എന്നും നിങ്ങളോടു എല്ലാവരോടും കൂടെ ഇരിക്കും എന്നും അറിയുന്നു.

25. And having been convinced of this, I know that I will remain, and will continue with you all for your progress and joy in the faith.

26. അങ്ങനെ ഞാന് നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കല് മടങ്ങി വരുന്നതിനാല് എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു നിങ്ങള്ക്കുള്ള പ്രശംസ ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവില് വര്ദ്ധിപ്പാന് ഇടയാകും.

26. So that your pride may abound in Christ Jesus in me because of my presence with you again.

27. ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ വന്നു കണ്ടിട്ടോ ദൂരത്തിരുന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ അവസ്ഥ കേട്ടിട്ടോ നിങ്ങള് ഏകാത്മാവില് നിലനിന്നു എതിരാളികളാല് ഒന്നിലും കുലുങ്ങിപ്പോകാതെ ഏകമനസ്സോടെ സുവിശേഷത്തിന്റെ വിശ്വാസത്തിന്നായി പോരാട്ടം കഴിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഗ്രഹിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ സുവിശേഷത്തിന്നു യോഗ്യമാംവണ്ണം മാത്രം നടപ്പിന് .

27. Only be citizens worthy of the good-news of the Christ, so that, whether having come and having seen you or being absent, I may hear things about you that ye stand firm in one spirit, with one soul striving together for the faith of the good-news.

28. ഇതു അവരുടെ നാശത്തിന്നും നിങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷെക്കും ഒരു അടയാളമാകുന്നു;

28. And not being frightened in anything by those who oppose, which is indeed a sign of destruction to them, but to you of salvation, and this from God.

29. അതു ദൈവം തന്നേ വെച്ചതാകുന്നു. ക്രിസ്തുവില് വിശ്വസിപ്പാന് മാത്രമല്ല അവന്നു വേണ്ടി കഷ്ടം അനുഭവിപ്പാനും കൂടെ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വരം നല്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

29. Because to you it was granted on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him,

30. നിങ്ങള് എങ്കല് കണ്ടതും ഇപ്പോള് എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു കേള്ക്കുന്നതുമായ അതേ പോരാട്ടം നിങ്ങള്ക്കും ഉണ്ടല്ലോ.

30. having the same conflict such as ye saw in me, and now hear is in me.
