1. പൌലൊസും സില്വാനൊസും തിമൊഥെയൊസും പിതാവായ ദൈവത്തിലും കര്ത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിലും ഉള്ള തെസ്സലൊനീക്യസഭെക്കു എഴുതുന്നതുനിങ്ങള്ക്കു കൃപയും സമാധാനവും ഉണ്ടാകട്ടെ.

1. This letter is from Paul, Silas, and Timothy.We are writing to the church in Thessalonica, to you who belong to God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.May God give you grace and peace.

2. ഞങ്ങളുടെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥനയില് നിങ്ങളെ സ്മരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങളുടെ വിശ്വാസത്തിന്റെ വേലയും സ്നേഹപ്രയത്നവും

2. We always thank God for all of you and pray for you constantly.

3. നമ്മുടെ കര്ത്താവായ യേശിക്രിസ്തുവിനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള പ്രത്യാശയുടെ സ്ഥിരതയും ഇടവിടാതെ നമ്മുടെ ദൈവവും പിതാവുമായവന്റെ സന്നിധിയില് ഔര്ത്തു

3. As we pray to our God and Father about you, we think of your faithful work, your loving deeds, and the enduring hope you have because of our Lord Jesus Christ.

4. ഞങ്ങള് നിങ്ങള്ക്കെല്ലാവര്ക്കും വേണ്ടി എപ്പോഴും ദൈവത്തിന്നു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്യുന്നു. ദൈവത്താല് സ്നേഹിക്കപ്പെട്ട സഹോദരന്മാരേ, നിങ്ങളുടെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിനെ അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ.

4. We know, dear brothers and sisters, that God loves you and has chosen you to be his own people.

5. ഞങ്ങളുടെ സുവിശേഷം വചനമായി മാത്രമല്ല, ശക്തിയോടും പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവോടും ബഹുനിശ്ചയത്തോടും കൂടെ ആയിരുന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കല് വന്നതു; നിങ്ങളുടെ നിമിത്തം ഞങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് എങ്ങനെ പെരുമാറിയിരുന്നു എന്നു അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ.

5. For when we brought you the Good News, it was not only with words but also with power, for the Holy Spirit gave you full assurance that what we said was true. And you know of our concern for you from the way we lived when we were with you.

6. ബഹുകഷ്ടം സഹിക്കേണ്ടിവന്നിട്ടും നിങ്ങള് പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിന്റെ സന്തോഷത്തോടെ വചനം കൈക്കൊണ്ടു ഞങ്ങള്ക്കും കര്ത്താവിന്നും അനുകാരികളായിത്തീര്ന്നു.

6. So you received the message with joy from the Holy Spirit in spite of the severe suffering it brought you. In this way, you imitated both us and the Lord.

7. അങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങള് മക്കെദൊന്യയിലും അഖായയിലും വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും എല്ലാവര്ക്കും മാതൃകയായിത്തീര്ന്നു.

7. As a result, you have become an example to all the believers in Greece-- throughout both Macedonia and Achaia.

8. നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കല് നിന്നു കര്ത്താവിന്റെ വചനം മുഴങ്ങിച്ചെന്നതു മക്കെദൊന്യയിലും അഖായയിലും മാത്രമല്ല; എല്ലാടവും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ദൈവത്തിലുള്ള വിശ്വാസം പ്രസിദ്ധമായിരിക്കുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞങ്ങള് ഒന്നും പറവാന് ആവശ്യമില്ല.

8. And now the word of the Lord is ringing out from you to people everywhere, even beyond Macedonia and Achaia, for wherever we go we find people telling us about your faith in God. We don't need to tell them about it,

9. ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കല് എങ്ങനെയുള്ള പ്രവേശനം സാധിച്ചു എന്നും ജീവനുള്ള സത്യദൈവത്തെ സേവിപ്പാനും അവന് മരിച്ചവരുടെ ഇടയില് നിന്നു ഉയിര്പ്പിച്ച തന്റെ പുത്രനും വരുവാനുള്ള കോപത്തില്നിന്നു നമ്മെ വിടുവിക്കുന്നവനുമായ യേശു സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില്നിന്നു വരുന്നതു കാത്തിരിപ്പാനും നിങ്ങള് വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ വിട്ടു ദൈവത്തിങ്കലേക്കു എങ്ങനെ തിരിഞ്ഞുവന്നു എന്നും അവര് തന്നെ പറയുന്നു.

9. for they keep talking about the wonderful welcome you gave us and how you turned away from idols to serve the living and true God.
