1. അന്ത്യകാലത്തു ദുര്ഘടസമയങ്ങള് വരും എന്നറിക.

1. But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come.

2. മനുഷ്യര് സ്വസ്നേഹികളും വമ്പു പറയുന്നവരും അഹങ്കാരികളും ദൂഷകന്മാരും അമ്മയപ്പന്മാരെ അനുസരിക്കാത്തവരും നന്ദികെട്ടവരും അശുദ്ധരും

2. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,

3. വാത്സല്യമില്ലാത്തവരും ഇണങ്ങാത്തവരും ഏഷണിക്കാരും അജിതേന്ദ്രിയന്മാരും ഉഗ്രന്മാരും

3. unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good,

4. സല്ഗുണദ്വേഷികളും ദ്രോഹികളും ധാര്ഷ്ട്യക്കാരും നിഗളികളുമായി

4. treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,

5. ദൈവപ്രീയമില്ലാതെ ഭോഗപ്രിയരായി ഭക്തിയുടെ വേഷം ധരിച്ചു അതിന്റെ ശക്തി ത്യജിക്കുന്നവരുമായിരിക്കും. അങ്ങനെയുള്ളവരെ വിട്ടൊഴിയുക.

5. holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these.

6. വീടുകളില് നൂണുകടക്കയും പാപങ്ങളെ ചുമന്നുകൊണ്ടു നാനാ മോഹങ്ങള്ക്കും അധീനരായി എപ്പോഴും പഠിച്ചിട്ടും ഒരിക്കലും സത്യത്തിന്റെ പരിജ്ഞാനം പ്രാപിപ്പാന് കഴിയാത്ത പെണ്ണുങ്ങളെ സ്വാധീനമാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവര് ഈ കൂട്ടത്തിലുള്ളവര് ആകുന്നു;

6. For among them are those who enter into households and captivate weak women weighed down with sins, led on by various impulses,

7. യന്നേസും യംബ്രേസും മോശെയോടു എതിര്ത്തുനിന്നതുപോലെ തന്നേ ഇവരും സത്യത്തോടു മറുത്തുനിലക്കുന്നു; ദുര്ബ്ബുദ്ധികളും വിശ്വാസം സംബന്ധിച്ചുകൊള്ളരുതാത്തവരുമത്രേ.

7. always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

8. അവര് അധികം മുഴുക്കയില്ല; മേല്പറഞ്ഞവരുടെ ബുദ്ധികേടു എല്ലാവര്ക്കും വെളിപ്പെട്ടതുപോലെ ഇവരുടെ ബുദ്ധികേടും വെളിപ്പെടും.

8. Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these [men] also oppose the truth, men of depraved mind, rejected in regard to the faith.

9. നീയോ എന്റെ ഉപദേശം, നടപ്പു, ഉദ്ദേശം, വിശ്വാസം, ദീര്ഘക്ഷമ, സ്നേഹം, സഹിഷ്ണുത എന്നിവയും

9. But they will not make further progress; for their folly will be obvious to all, just as Jannes's and Jambres's folly was also.

10. അന്ത്യൊക്യയിലും ഇക്കൊന്യയിലും ലൂസ്ത്രയിലും എനിക്കു സംഭവിച്ച ഉപദ്രവവും കഷ്ടാനുഭവവും കണ്ടറിഞ്ഞരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് എന്തെല്ലാം ഉപദ്രവം സഹിച്ചു; അതിലെല്ലാറ്റില് നിന്നും കര്ത്താവു എന്നെ വിടുവിച്ചു.

10. Now you followed my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, patience, love, perseverance,

11. എന്നാല് ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവില് ഭക്തിയോടെ ജീവിപ്പാന് മനസ്സുള്ളവര്ക്കും എല്ലാം ഉപദ്രവം ഉണ്ടാകും.

11. persecutions, [and] sufferings, such as happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium [and] at Lystra; what persecutions I endured, and out of them all the Lord rescued me!

12. ദുഷ്ടമനുഷ്യരും മായാവികളും വഞ്ചിച്ചും വഞ്ചിക്കപ്പെട്ടുംകൊണ്ടു മേലക്കുമേല് ദോഷത്തില് മുതിര്ന്നു വരും.

12. Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.

13. നീയോ ഇന്നവരോടു പഠിച്ചു എന്നു ഔര്ക്കുംകയും ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിങ്കലുള്ള വിശ്വാസത്താല് നിന്നെ രക്ഷെക്കു ജ്ഞാനിയാക്കുവാന് മതിയായ തിരുവെഴുത്തുകളെ ബാല്യംമുതല് അറികയും ചെയ്യുന്നതു കൊണ്ടു

13. But evil men and impostors will proceed [from bad] to worse, deceiving and being deceived.

14. നീ പഠിച്ചും നിശ്ചയം പ്രാപിച്ചും ഇരിക്കുന്നതില് നിലനില്ക്ക.

14. You, however, continue in the things you have learned and become convinced of, knowing from whom you have learned [them],

15. എല്ലാതിരുവെഴുത്തും ദൈവശ്വാസീയമാകയാല് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മനുഷ്യന് സകല സല്പ്രവൃത്തിക്കും വക പ്രാപിച്ചു തികഞ്ഞവന് ആകേണ്ടതിന്നു

15. and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

16. ഉപദേശത്തിന്നും ശാസനത്തിന്നും ഗുണീകരണത്തിന്നും നീതിയിലെ അഭ്യാസത്തിന്നും പ്രയോജനമുള്ളതു ആകുന്നു.

16. All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;
