1. ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിന്റെ ബദ്ധനായ പൌലോസും സഹോദരനായ തിമൊഥെയൊസും ഞങ്ങളുടെ പ്രിയനും കൂട്ടുവേലക്കാരനുമായ ഫിലേമോന് എന്ന നിനക്കും

1. This letter is from Paul. I am in prison because of Jesus Christ. Brother Timothy is also writing to you, Philemon. You are a much-loved workman together with us.

2. സഹോദരിയായ അപ്പിയെക്കും ഞങ്ങളുടെ സഹഭടനായ അര്ക്കിപ്പൊസിന്നും നിന്റെ വീട്ടിലെ സഭെക്കും എഴുതുന്നുതു

2. We are also writing to the church that meets in your home. This letter is also for our Christian sister Apphia and it is for Archippus who is a soldier together with us.

3. നമ്മുടെ പിതാവായ ദൈവത്തിങ്കല് നിന്നും കര്ത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിങ്കല്നിന്നും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു കൃപയും സമാധാനവും ഉണ്ടാകട്ടെ.

3. May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you His loving-favor and peace.

4. കര്ത്താവായ യേശുവിനോടും സകലവിശുദ്ധന്മാരോടും നിനക്കുള്ള സ്നേഹത്തെയും വിശ്വാസത്തെയും കുറിച്ചു

4. I always thank God when I speak of you in my prayers.

5. ഞാന് കേട്ടിട്ടു നമ്മിലുള്ള എല്ലാനന്മയുടെയും പരിജ്ഞാനത്താല് നിന്റെ വിശ്വാസത്തിന്റെ കൂട്ടായ്മ ക്രിസ്തുവിന്നായി സഫലമാകേണ്ടതിന്നു

5. It is because I hear of your love and trust in the Lord Jesus and in all the Christians.

6. എന്റെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥനയില് നിന്നെ ഔര്ത്തു എപ്പോഴും എന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്നു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്യുന്നു.

6. I pray that our faith together will help you know all the good things you have through Christ Jesus.

7. സഹോദരാ, വിശുദ്ധന്മാരുടെ ഹൃദയം നീ തണുപ്പിച്ചതുനിമിത്തം നിന്റെ സ്നേഹത്തില് എനിക്കു വളരെ സന്തോഷവും ആശ്വാസവും ഉണ്ടായി.

7. Your love has given me much joy and comfort. The hearts of the Christians have been made happy by you, Christian brother.

8. ആകയാല് യുക്തമായതു നിന്നോടു കല്പിപ്പാന് ക്രിസ്തുവില് എനിക്കു വളരെ ധൈര്യം ഉണ്ടെങ്കിലും

8. So now, through Christ, I am free to tell you what you must do.

9. പൌലോസ് എന്ന വയസ്സനും ഇപ്പോള് ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിന്റെ ബദ്ധനുമായിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ ഞാന് സ്നേഹം നിമിത്തം അപേക്ഷിക്കയത്രേ ചെയ്യുന്നതു.

9. But because I love you, I will only ask you. I am Paul, an old man, here in prison because of Jesus Christ.

10. തടവില് ഇരിക്കുമ്പോള് ഞാന് ജനിപ്പിച്ച എന്റെ മകനായ ഒനേസിമൊസിന്നു വേണ്ടി ആകുന്നു നിന്നോടു അപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നതു.

10. I am asking you for my son, Onesimus. He has become my son in the Christian life while I have been here in prison.

11. അവന് മുമ്പെ നിനക്കു പ്രയോജനമില്ലാത്തവന് ആയിരുന്നു; ഇപ്പോള് നിനക്കും എനിക്കും നല്ല പ്രയോജനമുള്ളവന് തന്നേ.

11. At one time he was of no use to you. But now he is of use to you and to me.

12. എനിക്കു പ്രാണപ്രിയനായ അവനെ ഞാന് മടക്കി അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

12. I am sending him back to you. It is like sending you my own heart.

13. സുവിശേഷംനിമിത്തമുള്ള തടവില് എന്നെ ശുശ്രൂഷിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവനെ നിനക്കു പകരം എന്റെ അടുക്കല് തന്നേ നിര്ത്തിക്കൊള്വാന് എനിക്കു ആഗ്രഹമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

13. I would like to keep him with me. He could have helped me in your place while I am in prison for preaching the Good News.

14. എങ്കിലും നിന്റെ ഗുണം നിര്ബ്ബന്ധത്താല് എന്നപോലെ അല്ല, മനസ്സോടെ ആകേണ്ടതിന്നു നിന്റെ സമ്മതം കൂടാതെ ഒന്നും ചെയ്വാന് എനിക്കു മനസ്സില്ലായിരുന്നു.

14. But I did not want to keep him without word from you. I did not want you to be kind to me because you had to but because you wanted to.

15. അവന് അല്പകാലം വേറുവിട്ടുപോയതു അവനെ സദാകാലത്തേക്കും നിനക്കു ലഭിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ആയിരിക്കും;

15. He ran away from you for awhile. But now he is yours forever.

16. അവന് ഇനി ദാസനല്ല, ദാസന്നു മീതെ പ്രിയസഹോദരന് തന്നേ; അവന് വിശേഷാല് എനിക്കു പ്രിയന് എങ്കില് നിനക്കു ജഡസംബന്ധമായും കര്ത്തൃസംബന്ധമായും എത്ര അധികം?

16. Do not think of him any longer as a servant you own. He is more than that to you. He is a much-loved Christian brother to you and to me.

17. ആകയാല് നീ എന്നെ കൂട്ടാളി എന്നു കരുതുന്നു എങ്കില് അവനെ എന്നെപ്പോലെ ചേര്ത്തുകൊള്ക.

17. If you think of me as a true friend, take him back as you would take me.

18. അവന് നിന്നോടു വല്ലതും അന്യായം ചെയ്തിട്ടോ കടം പെട്ടിട്ടോ ഉണ്ടെങ്കില് അതു എന്റെ പേരില് കണക്കിട്ടുകൊള്ക.

18. If he has done anything wrong or owes you anything, send me the bill.

19. പൌലോസ് എന്ന ഞാന് സ്വന്തകയ്യാല് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് തന്നു തീര്ക്കാം. നീ നിന്നെ തന്നേ എനിക്കു തരുവാന് കടംപെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഞാന് പറയേണം എന്നില്ലല്ലോ.

19. I will pay it. I, Paul, am writing this with my own hand. I will not talk about how much you owe me because you owe me your life.

20. അതേ സഹോദരാ, നിന്നെക്കൊണ്ടു എനിക്കു കര്ത്താവില് ഒരനുഭവം വേണ്ടിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ക്രിസ്തുവില് എന്റെ ഹൃദയം തണുപ്പിക്ക.

20. Yes, Christian brother, I want you to be of use to me as a Christian. Give my heart new joy in Christ.

21. നിന്റെ അനുസരണത്തെപ്പറ്റി എനിക്കു നിശ്ചയം ഉണ്ടു; ഞാന് പറയുന്നതിലുമധികം നീ ചെയ്യും എന്നറിഞ്ഞിട്ടാകുന്നു ഞാന് എഴുതുന്നതു.

21. I write this letter knowing you will do what I ask and even more.

22. ഇതല്ലാതെ നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥനയാല് ഞാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു നല്കപ്പെടും എന്നു പ്രത്യാശ ഉണ്ടാകകൊണ്ടു എനിക്കു പാര്പ്പിടം ഒരുക്കിക്കൊള്ക.

22. Please have a room ready for me. I trust God will answer your prayers and let me come to you soon.

24. Mark and Aristarchus and Demas and Luke who are workers with me greet you.
