1. സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് വലിയൊരു അടയാളം കാണായിസൂര്യനെ അണിഞ്ഞോരു സ്ത്രീ; അവളുടെ കാല്ക്കീഴ് ചന്ദ്രനും അവളുടെ തലയില് പന്ത്രണ്ടു നക്ഷത്രംകൊണ്ടുള്ള കിരീടവും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

1. And a great sign was seen in the heavens, a woman having been clothed with the sun, and the moon was underneath her feet; and on her head a crown of twelve stars;

3. And another sign was seen in the heavens. And, behold, a great red dragon having seven heads and ten horns! And on his heads were seven diadems,

4. അതിന്റെ വാല് ആകാശത്തിലെ നക്ഷത്രങ്ങളില് മൂന്നിലൊന്നിനെ വലിച്ചുകൂട്ടി ഭൂമിയിലേക്കു എറിഞ്ഞുകളഞ്ഞു. പ്രസവിപ്പാറായ സ്ത്രീ പ്രസവിച്ച ഉടനെ കുട്ടിയെ തിന്നുകളവാന് മഹാസര്പ്പം അവളുടെ മുമ്പില് നിന്നു.

4. and his tail drew the third part of the stars of the heaven, and he throws them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman being about to bear, so that when she bears he might devour her child.

5. And she bore a son, a male, who is going to shepherd all the nations with an iron staff. And her child was caught away to God, and to His throne.

6. And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she had a place, it having been prepared from God, that there they might nourish her a thousand two hundred and sixty days.

7. And war occurred in Heaven, Michael and his angels making war against the dragon. And the dragon and his angels made war,

8. but they did not have strength, nor yet was place found for them in Heaven.

9. And the great dragon was cast out, the old serpent being called devil, and, Satan; he deceiving the whole habitable world was cast out onto the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

10. And I heard a great voice saying in Heaven, Now has come the salvation and power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of His Christ, because the accuser of our brothers is thrown down, the one accusing them before our God day and night.

11. And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb, and because of the Word of their testimony. And they did not love their soul even until death.

12. Because of this, be glad, the heavens and those tabernacling in them. Woe to the ones dwelling on the earth, and in the sea, because the devil came down to you having great anger, knowing that he has a little time!

13. തന്നെ ഭൂമിയിലേക്കു തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞു എന്നു മഹാസര്പ്പം കണ്ടിട്ടു ആണ്കുട്ടിയെ പ്രസവിച്ചസ്ത്രീയെ ഉപദ്രവിച്ചുതുടങ്ങി.

13. And when the dragon saw that he was cast out onto the earth, he pursued the woman who bore the male.

14. അപ്പോള് സ്ത്രീക്കു മരുഭൂമിയില് തന്റെ സ്ഥലത്തെക്കു പറന്നുപോകേണ്ടതിന്നു വലിയ കഴുകിന്റെ രണ്ടു ചിറകുലഭിച്ചു; അവിടെ അവളെ സര്പ്പത്തോടു അകലെ ഒരുകാലവും ഇരുകാലവും അരക്കാലവും പോറ്റി രക്ഷിച്ചു.

14. And two wings of the great eagle were given to the woman, that she might fly into the wilderness, to her place, where she is nourished there a time, and times, and half a time, away from the serpent's face.

15. സര്പ്പം സ്ത്രീയെ ഒഴുക്കിക്കളയേണ്ടതിന്നു അവളുടെ പിന്നാലെ തന്റെ വായില് നിന്നു നദിപോലെ വെള്ളം ചാടിച്ചു.

15. And the serpent threw water out of his mouth like a river after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried off by the river.

16. എന്നാല് ഭൂമി സ്ത്രീക്കു തുണനിന്നു; മഹാസര്പ്പം വായില്നിന്നു ചാടിച്ച നദിയെ ഭൂമി വായ്തുറന്നു വിഴുങ്ങിക്കളഞ്ഞു.

16. And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed the river which the dragon threw out of his mouth.

17. മഹാസര്പ്പം സ്ത്രീയോടു കോപിച്ചു, ദൈവകല്പന പ്രമാണിക്കുന്നവരും യേശുവിന്റെ സാക്ഷ്യം ഉള്ളവരുമായി അവളുടെ സന്തതിയില് ശേഷിപ്പുള്ളവരോടു യുദ്ധം ചെയ്വാന് പുറപ്പെട്ടു; അവന് കടല്പുറത്തെ മണലിന്മേല് നിന്നു.

17. And the dragon was enraged over the woman, and went away to make war with the rest of her seed, those keeping the commandments of God, and having the testimony of Jesus Christ.
