1. അപ്പോള് പത്തുകൊമ്പും ഏഴു തലയും കൊമ്പുകളില് പത്തു രാജമുടിയും തലയില് നിന്നു കയറുന്നതു ഞാന് കണ്ടു.

1. And I saw, out of the sea, a wild-beast coming up; having ten horns, and seven heads, and, upon his horns, ten diadems, and, upon his head, names of blasphemy.

2. ഞാന് കണ്ട മൃഗം പുള്ളിപ്പുലിക്കു സദൃശവും അതിന്റെ കാല് കരടിയുടെ കാല്പോലെയും വായ് സിംഹത്തിന്റെ വായ് പോലെയും ആയിരുന്നു. അതിന്നു മഹാസര്പ്പം തന്റെ ശക്തിയും സിംഹാസനവും വലിയ അധികാരവും കൊടുത്തു.

2. And, the beast which I saw, was like unto a leopard; and, his feet, as of a bear, and, his mouth, as the mouth of a lion. And the dragon gave unto him his power, and his throne, and great authority.

3. അതിന്റെ തലകളില് ഒന്നു മരണകരമായ മുറിവേറ്റതുപോലെ ഞാന് കണ്ടു; അതിന്റെ മരണകരമായ മുറിവു പൊറുത്തുപോയി; സര്വ്വഭൂമിയും മൃഗത്തെ കണ്ടു വിസ്മയിച്ചു.

3. And I saw one of his heads, showing that it had been slain unto death, and, the stroke of his death, was healed. And the whole earth marveled after the wild-beast,

4. മൃഗത്തിന്നു അധികാരം കൊടുത്തതു കൊണ്ടു അവര് മഹാസര്പ്പത്തെ നമസ്ക്കുരിച്ചുമൃഗത്തോടു തുല്യന് ആര്? അതിനോടു പൊരുവാന് ആര്ക്കും കഴിയും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു മൃഗത്തെയും നമസ്കരിച്ചു.

4. and did homage unto the dragon, because he gave his authority unto the wild-beast; and they did homage unto the wild-beast, saying Who is like unto the wild-beast? and Who can make war with him?

5. വമ്പും ദൂഷണവും സംസാരിക്കുന്ന വായ് അതിന്നു ലഭിച്ചു; നാല്പത്തിരണ്ടു മാസം പ്രവര്ത്തിപ്പാന് അധികാരവും ലഭിച്ചു.

5. And there was given unto him, a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and it was given unto him to act, forty and two months.

6. അതു ദൈവത്തിന്റെ നാമത്തെയും അവന്റെ കൂടാരത്തെയും സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് വസിക്കുന്നവരെയും ദുഷിപ്പാന് ദൈവദൂഷണത്തിന്നായി വായ്തുറന്നു.

6. And he opened his mouth for blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tent, them, who, in heaven were tabernacling.

7. വിശുദ്ധന്മാരോടു യുദ്ധം ചെയ്തു അവരെ ജയിപ്പാനും അതിന്നു അധികാരം ലഭിച്ചു; സകല ഗോത്രത്തിന്മേലും വംശത്തിന്മേലും ഭാഷമേലും ജാതിമേലും അധികാരവും ലഭിച്ചു.

7. And it was given unto him, to make war with the saints, and to overcome them; and there was given him, authority against every tribe and people and tongue and nation.

8. ലോകസ്ഥാപനം മുതല് അറുക്കപ്പെട്ട കുഞ്ഞാടിന്റെ ജീവപുസ്തകത്തില് പേര് എഴുതീട്ടില്ലാത്ത ഭൂവാസികള് ഒക്കെയും അതിനെ നമസ്കരിക്കും.

8. And all they who are dwelling upon the earth will do homage unto him, every one whose name is not written in the scroll of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

9. ചെവിയുള്ളവന് കേള്ക്കട്ടെ.

9. If any-one hath an ear: let him hear.

10. അടിമയാക്കി കൊണ്ടുപോകുന്നവന് അടിമയായിപ്പോകും; വാള്കൊണ്ടു കൊല്ലുന്നവന് വാളാല് മരിക്കേണ്ടിവരും; ഇവിടെ വിശുദ്ധന്മാരുടെ സഹിഷ്ണുതയും വിശ്വാസവും കൊണ്ടു ആവശ്യം.

10. If anyone carrieth into captivity, into captivity, he goeth away. If anyone, with a sword, doth slay, he must, with a sword, be slain. Here, is the endurance and the faith of the saints.

11. മറ്റൊരു മൃഗം ഭൂമിയില് നിന്നു കയറുന്നതു ഞാന് കണ്ടു; അതിന്നു കുഞ്ഞാടിന്നുള്ളതുപോലെ രണ്ടു കൊമ്പുണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അതു മഹാ സര്പ്പം എന്നപോലെ സംസാരിച്ചു.

11. And I saw another wild-beast, coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns, like unto a lamb, and began speaking as a dragon.

12. അതു ഒന്നാമത്തെ മൃഗത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ അതിന്റെ അധികാരം എല്ലാം നടത്തി ഭൂമിയെയും അതില് വസിക്കുന്നവരെയും മരണകരമായ മുറിവു പൊറുത്തുപോയ ഒന്നാം മൃഗത്തെ നമസ്കരിക്കുമാറാക്കുന്നു.

12. And, all the authority of the first wild-beast, he useth before him; and causeth the earth, and them who, therein, are dwelling, that they shall do homage unto the first wild-beast, whose stroke of death, was healed.

13. അതു മനുഷ്യര് കാണ്കെ ആകാശത്തുനിന്നു ഭൂമിയിലേക്കു തീ ഇറങ്ങുമാറു വലിയ അടയാളങ്ങള് പ്രവൃത്തിക്കയും മൃഗത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പില് പ്രവൃത്തിപ്പാന് തനിക്കു ബലം കിട്ടിയ അടയാളങ്ങളെക്കൊണ്ടു ഭൂവാസികളെ തെറ്റിക്കുകയും വാളാല് മുറിവേറ്റിട്ടും ജീവിച്ച മൃഗത്തിന്നു പ്രതിമ ഉണ്ടാക്കുവാന് ഭൂവാസികളോടു പറകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

13. And he doeth great signs, so that, even fire, he causeth to be coming down unto the earth before men;

14. മൃഗത്തിന്റെ പ്രതിമ സംസാരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും മൃഗത്തിന്റെ പ്രതിമയെ നമസ്കരിക്കാത്തവരെ ഒക്കെയും കൊല്ലിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു മൃഗത്തിന്റെ പ്രതിമെക്കു ആത്മാവിനെ കൊടുപ്പാന് അതിന്നു ബലം ലഭിച്ചു.

14. and he deceiveth them who are dwelling upon the earth, by reason of the signs which it was given him to do before the wild-beast, saying unto them who are dwelling upon the earth, that they should make an image unto the wild-beast who hath the stroke of the sword, and yet did live.

15. അതു ചെറിയവരും വലിയവരും സമ്പന്നന്മാരും ദരിദ്രന്മാരും സ്വതന്ത്രന്മാരും ദാസന്മാരുമായ എല്ലാവര്ക്കും വലങ്കൈമേലോ നെറ്റിയിലോ മുദ്ര കിട്ടു മാറും

15. And it was given unto it, to give spirit unto the image of the wild-beast, in order that the image of the wild-beast should both speak and should cause that, as many as should not do homage unto the image of the wild-beast, should be slain.

16. മൃഗത്തിന്റെ പേരോ പേരിന്റെ സംഖ്യയോ ആയ മുദ്രയുള്ളവനല്ലാതെ വാങ്ങുകയോ വിലക്കുകയോ ചെയ്വാന് വഹിയാതെയും ആക്കുന്നു.

16. And he causeth all the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free and the bond, that they should give unto them a mark, upon their right hand or upon their forehead;

17. ഇവിടെ ജ്ഞാനംകൊണ്ടു ആവശ്യം. ബുദ്ധിയുള്ളവന് മൃഗത്തിന്റെ സംഖ്യ ഗണിക്കട്ടെഅതു ഒരു മനുഷ്യന്റെ സംഖ്യയത്രെ. അതിന്റെ സംഖ്യ അറുനൂറ്ററുപത്താറു.

17. and that no one should be able to buy or to sell, save he that hath the mark, the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
