1. യഹോവ ദാവീദിനെ സകലശത്രുക്കളുടെ കയ്യില്നിന്നും ശൌലിന്റെ കയ്യില് നിന്നും വിടുവിച്ചശേഷം അവന് യഹോവേക്കു ഒരു സംഗീതംപാടി ചൊല്ലിയതെന്തെന്നാല്

1. And David speaketh to Jehovah the words of this song in the day Jehovah hath delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul,

2. യഹോവ എന്റെ ശൈലവും എന് കോട്ടയും എന്റെ രക്ഷകനും ആകുന്നു.

2. and he saith: 'Jehovah [is] my rock, And my bulwark, and a deliverer to me,

3. എന്റെ പാറയായ ദൈവം; അവനില് ഞാന് ആശ്രയിക്കും; എന്റെ പരിചയും എന്റെ രക്ഷയായ കൊമ്പും എന്റെ ഗോപുരവും എന്റെ സങ്കേതവും തന്നേ. എന്റെ രക്ഷിതാവേ, നീ എന്നെ സാഹസത്തില്നിന്നു രക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.

3. My God [is] my rock -- I take refuge in Him; My shield, and the horn of my salvation, My high tower, and my refuge! My Saviour, from violence Thou savest me!

4. സ്തുത്യനായ യഹോവയെ ഞാന് വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കും; എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളില്നിന്നു താന് എന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കും.

4. The Praised One, I call Jehovah: And from mine enemies I am saved.

5. മരണത്തിന്റെ തിരമാല എന്നെ വളഞ്ഞു; ദുഷ്ടതയുടെ പ്രവാഹങ്ങള് എന്നെ ഭ്രമിപ്പിച്ചു;

5. When the breakers of death compassed me, The streams of the worthless terrify me,

6. പാതാളപാശങ്ങള് എന്നെ ചുഴന്നു; മരണത്തിന്റെ കണികള് എന്റെമേല് വീണു.

6. The cords of Sheol have surrounded me, Before me have been the snares of death.

7. എന്റെ കഷ്ടതയില് ഞാന് യഹോവയെ വിളിച്ചു, എന്റെ ദൈവത്തോടു തന്നേ നിലവിളിച്ചു; അവന് തന്റെ മന്ദിരത്തില്നിന്നു എന്റെ അപേക്ഷ കേട്ടു; എന്റെ നിലവിളി അവന്റെ ചെവികളില് എത്തി.

7. In mine adversity I call Jehovah, And unto my God I call, And He heareth from His temple my voice, And my cry [is] in His ears,

8. ഭൂമി ഞെട്ടി വിറെച്ചു, ആകാശത്തിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനങ്ങള് ഇളകി, അവന് കോപിക്കയാല് അവ കുലുങ്ങിപ്പോയി.

8. And shake and tremble doth the earth, Foundations of the heavens are troubled, And are shaken, for He hath wrath!

9. അവന്റെ മൂക്കില്നിന്നു പുക പൊങ്ങി, അവന്റെ വായില്നിന്നു തീ പുറപ്പെട്ടു ദഹിപ്പിച്ചു, തീക്കനല് അവങ്കല്നിന്നു ജ്വലിച്ചു.

9. Gone up hath smoke by His nostrils. And fire from His mouth devoureth, Brands have been kindled by it.

10. അവന് ആകാശം ചായിച്ചിറങ്ങി; കൂരിരുള് അവന്റെ കാല്ക്കീഴുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

10. And He inclineth heaven, and cometh down, And thick darkness [is] under His feet.

11. അവന് കെരൂബിനെ വാഹനമാക്കി പറന്നു, കാറ്റിന് ചിറകിന്മേല് പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി.

11. And He rideth on a cherub, and doth fly, And is seen on the wings of the wind.

12. അവന് അന്ധകാരം തനിക്കു ചുറ്റും മണ്ഡപമാക്കി; ജലാശയവും കനത്ത മേഘങ്ങളും കൂടെ.

12. And He setteth darkness Round about Him -- tabernacles, Darkness of waters -- thick clouds of the skies.

13. അവന്റെ മുമ്പിലുള്ള പ്രകാശത്താല് തീക്കനല് ജ്വലിച്ചു.

13. From the brightness before Him Were brands of fire kindled!

14. യഹോവ ആകാശത്തില് ഇടിമുഴക്കി, അത്യുന്നതന് തന്റെ നാദം കേള്പ്പിച്ചു.

14. Thunder from the heavens doth Jehovah, And the Most High giveth forth His voice.

15. അവന് അസ്ത്രം എയ്തു അവരെ ചിതറിച്ചു, മിന്നല് അയച്ചു അവരെ തോല്പിച്ചു.

15. And He sendeth forth arrows, And scattereth them; Lightning, and troubleth them;

16. യഹോവയുടെ ഭത്സനത്താല്, തിരുമൂക്കിലെ ശ്വാസത്തിന്റെ ഊത്തിനാല് കടലിന്റെ ചാലുകള് കാണായ്വന്നു ഭൂതലത്തിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനങ്ങള് വെളിപ്പെട്ടു.

16. And seen are the streams of the sea, Revealed are foundations of the world, By the rebuke of Jehovah, From the breath of the spirit of His anger.

17. അവന് ഉയരത്തില്നിന്നു കൈനീട്ടി എന്നെ പിടിച്ചു, പെരുവെള്ളത്തില്നിന്നു എന്നെ വലിച്ചെടുത്തു.

17. He sendeth from above -- He taketh me, He draweth me out of many waters.

18. ബലമുള്ള ശത്രുവിന്റെ കയ്യില്നിന്നും എന്നെ പകെച്ചവരുടെ പക്കല്നിന്നും എന്നെ വിടുവിച്ചു; അവര് എന്നിലും ബലമേറിയവര് ആയിരുന്നു.

18. He delivereth me from my strong enemy, From those hating me, For they were stronger than I.

19. എന്റെ അനര്ത്ഥദിവസത്തില് അവര് എന്നെ ആക്രമിച്ചു; എന്നാല് യഹോവ എനിക്കു തുണയായിരുന്നു.

19. They are before me in a day of my calamity, And Jehovah is my support,

20. അവന് എന്നെ വിശാലതയിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുവന്നു, എന്നില് പ്രസാദിച്ചിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു എന്നെ വിടുവിച്ചു.

20. And He bringeth me out to a large place, He draweth me out for He delighted in me.

21. യഹോവ എന്റെ നീതിക്കു തക്കവണ്ണം എനിക്കു പ്രതിഫലം നല്കി, എന്റെ കൈകളുടെ വെടിപ്പിന്നൊത്തവണ്ണം എനിക്കു പകരം തന്നു.

21. Jehovah recompenseth me, According to my righteousness, According to the cleanness of my hands, He doth return to me.

22. ഞാന് യഹോവയുടെ വഴികളെ പ്രമാണിച്ചു, എന്റെ ദൈവത്തോടു ദ്രോഹം ചെയ്തതുമില്ല.

22. For I have kept the ways of Jehovah, And have not done wickedly against my God.

23. അവന്റെ വിധികള് ഒക്കെയും എന്റെ മുമ്പിലുണ്ടു; അവന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങള് ഞാന് വിട്ടുനടന്നിട്ടുമില്ല.

23. For all His judgments [are] before me, As to His statutes, I turn not from them.

24. ഞാന് അവന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നിഷ്കളങ്കനായിരുന്നു, അകൃത്യം ചെയ്യാതെ എന്നെ തന്നേ കാത്തു.

24. And I am perfect before Him, And I keep myself from mine iniquity.

25. യഹോവ എന്റെ നീതിക്കു തക്കവണ്ണവും അവന്റെ കാഴ്ചയില് എന്റെ നിര്മ്മലതെക്കൊത്തവണ്ണവും എനിക്കു പകരം നല്കി.

25. And Jehovah returneth to me, According to my righteousness, According to my cleanness before His eyes.

26. ദയാലുവോടു നീ ദയാലുവാകുന്നു; നിഷ്കളങ്കനോടു നീ നിഷ്കളങ്കന് .

26. With the kind Thou shewest Thyself kind, With the perfect man Thou shewest Thyself perfect,

27. നിര്മ്മലനോടു നീ നിര്മ്മലനാകുന്നു; വക്രനോടു നീ വക്രത കാണിക്കുന്നു.

27. With the pure Thou shewest Thyself pure, And with the perverse Thou shewest Thyself a wrestler.

28. എളിയ ജനത്തെ നീ രക്ഷിക്കും; നിഗളിച്ചു നടക്കുന്നവരെ താഴ്ത്തേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ ദൃഷ്ടിവെക്കുന്നു.

28. And the poor people Thou dost save, And Thine eyes on the high causest to fall.

29. യഹോവേ, നീ എന്റെ ദീപം ആകുന്നു; യഹോവ എന്റെ അന്ധകാരത്തെ പ്രകാശമാക്കും.

29. For Thou [art] my lamp, O Jehovah, And Jehovah doth lighten my darkness.

30. നിന്നാല് ഞാന് പടക്കൂട്ടത്തിന്റെ നേരെ പാഞ്ഞുചെല്ലും; എന്റെ ദൈവത്താല് ഞാന് മതില് ചാടിക്കടക്കും.

30. For by Thee I run -- a troop, By my God I leap a wall.

31. ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വഴി തികവുള്ളതു, യഹോവയുടെ വചനം ഊതിക്കഴിച്ചതു; തന്നെ ശരണമാക്കുന്ന ഏവര്ക്കും അവന് പരിച ആകുന്നു.

31. God! Perfect [is] His way, The saying of Jehovah is tried, A shield He [is] to all those trusting in Him.

32. യഹോവയല്ലാതെ ദൈവം ആരുള്ളു? നമ്മുടെ ദൈവം ഒഴികെ പാറ ആരുള്ളു?

32. For who is God save Jehovah? And who a Rock save our God?

33. ദൈവം എന്റെ ഉറപ്പുള്ള കോട്ട, നിഷ്കളങ്കനെ അവന് വഴി നടത്തുന്നു.

33. God -- my bulwark, [my] strength, And He maketh perfect my way;

34. അവന് എന്റെ കാലുകളെ മാന് പേടക്കാലക്കു തുല്യമാക്കി എന്റെ ഗിരികളില് എന്നെ നിലക്കുമാറാക്കുന്നു.

34. Making my feet like hinds, And on my high places causeth me to stand,

35. അവന് എന്റെ കൈകള്ക്കു യുദ്ധാഭ്യാസം വരുത്തുന്നു; എന്റെ ഭുജങ്ങള് താമ്രചാപം കുലെക്കുന്നു.

35. Teaching my hands for battle, And brought down was a bow of brass by mine arms,

36. നിന്റെ രക്ഷ എന്ന പരിചയെ നീ എനിക്കു തന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ സൌമ്യത എന്നെ വലിയവനാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

36. And Thou givest to me the shield of Thy salvation, And Thy lowliness maketh me great.

37. ഞാന് കാലടി വെക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ വിശാലത വരുത്തി; എന്റെ നരിയാണികള് വഴുതിപ്പോയതുമില്ല.

37. Thou enlargest my step under me, And mine ankles have not slidden.

38. ഞാന് എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളെ പിന്തുടര്ന്നൊടുക്കി അവരെ മുടിക്കുവോളം ഞാന് പിന്തിരിഞ്ഞില്ല.

38. I pursue mine enemies and destroy them, And I turn not till they are consumed.

39. അവര്ക്കും എഴുന്നേറ്റുകൂടാതവണ്ണം ഞാന് അവരെ തകര്ത്തൊടുക്കി; അവര് എന്റെ കാല്ക്കീഴില് വീണിരിക്കുന്നു.

39. And I consume them, and smite them, And they rise not, and fall under my feet.

40. യുദ്ധത്തിന്നായി നീ എന്റെ അരെക്കു ശക്തി കെട്ടിയിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്നോടു എതിര്ത്തവരെ എനിക്കു കീഴടക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

40. And Thou girdest me [with] strength for battle, Thou causest my withstanders to bow under me.

41. എന്നെ പകെക്കുന്നവരെ ഞാന് സംഹരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളെ എനിക്കു പുറം കാട്ടുമാറാക്കി.

41. And mine enemies -- Thou givest to me the neck, Those hating me -- and I cut them off.

42. അവര് ചുറ്റും നോക്കിയെങ്കിലും രക്ഷിപ്പാന് ആരും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല; യഹോവയിങ്കലേക്കു നോക്കി, അവന് ഉത്തരം അരുളിയതുമില്ല.

42. They look, and there is no saviour; Unto Jehovah, and He hath not answered them.

43. ഞാന് അവരെ നിലത്തിലെ പൊടിപോലെ പൊടിച്ചു, വീഥികളിലെ ചെളിയെപ്പോലെ ഞാന് അവരെ ചവിട്ടി ചിതറിച്ചു.

43. And I beat them as dust of the earth, As mire of the streets I beat them small -- I spread them out!

44. എന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ കലഹങ്ങളില്നിന്നും നീ എന്നെ വിടുവിച്ചു, ജാതികള്ക്കു എന്നെ തലവനാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് അറിയാത്ത ജനം എന്നെ സേവിക്കുന്നു.

44. And -- Thou dost deliver me From the strivings of my people, Thou placest me for a head of nations; A people I have not known do serve me.

45. അന്യജാതിക്കാര് എന്നോടു അനസരണഭാവം കാണിക്കും; അവര് കേട്ട മാത്രെക്കു എന്നെ അനുസരിക്കും.

45. Sons of a stranger feign obedience to me, At the hearing of the ear they hearken to me.

46. അന്യജാതിക്കാര് ക്ഷയിച്ചുപോകുന്നു; തങ്ങളുടെ ദുര്ഗ്ഗങ്ങളില്നിന്നു അവര് വിറെച്ചു കൊണ്ടുവരുന്നു.

46. Sons of a stranger fade away, And gird themselves by their close places.

47. യഹോവ ജീവിക്കുന്നു; എന് പാറ വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ടവന് . എന് രക്ഷയുടെ പാറയായ ദൈവം ഉന്നതന് തന്നേ.

47. Jehovah liveth, and blessed [is] my Rock, And exalted is my God -- The Rock of my salvation.

48. ദൈവം എനിക്കുവേണ്ടി പ്രതികാരം ചെയ്കയും ജാതികളെ എനിക്കു കീഴാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

48. God -- who is giving vengeance to me, And bringing down peoples under me,

49. അവന് ശത്രുവശത്തുനിന്നു എന്നെ വിടുവിക്കുന്നു; എന്നോടു എതിര്ക്കുംന്നവര്ക്കും മീതെ നീ എന്നെ ഉയര്ത്തുന്നു; സാഹസക്കാരന്റെ കയ്യില്നിന്നു നീ എന്നെ വിടുവിക്കുന്നു.

49. And bringing me forth from mine enemies, Yea, above my withstanders Thou raisest me up. From a man of violence Thou deliverest me.

50. അതുകൊണ്ടു, യഹോവേ, ഞാന് ജാതികളുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ നിനക്കു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്യും, നിന്റെ നാമത്തെ ഞാന് കീര്ത്തിക്കും.
റോമർ 15:9

50. Therefore I confess Thee, O Jehovah, among nations. And to Thy name I sing praise.

51. അവന് തന്റെ രാജാവിന്നു മഹാരക്ഷ നലകുന്നു; തന്റെ അഭിഷിക്തന്നു ദയ കാണിക്കുന്നു; ദാവീദിന്നും അവന്റെ സന്തതിക്കും എന്നെന്നേക്കും തന്നേ.

51. Magnifying the salvations of His king, And doing loving-kindness to His anointed, To David, and to his seed -- unto the age!'
