1. Moreover David and the captains of the host separated for the service the sons of Asaph, and of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who should prophesy with harps, with psalteries, and with cymbals; and the number of the workmen according to their service was:

2. ആസാഫിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരോരാജാവിന്റെ കല്പനയാല് പ്രവചിച്ച ആസാഫിന്റെ കീഴില് ആസാഫിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരായ സക്കൂര്, യോസേഫ്, നെഥന്യാവു, അശരേലാ.

2. of the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, and Joseph, and Nethaniah, and Asarelah; the sons of Asaph were under the hand of Asaph, who prophesied according to the order of the king.

3. യെദൂഥൂന്യരോയഹോവയെ വാഴ്ത്തി സ്തുതിക്കുന്നതില് കിന്നരംകൊണ്ടു പ്രവചിച്ച തങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവായ യെദൂഥൂന്റെ കീഴില് ഗെദെല്യാവു, സെരി, യെശയ്യാവു, ഹശബ്യാവു, മത്ഥിഥയ്യാവു എന്നിങ്ങനെ യെദൂഥൂന്റെ പുത്രന്മാര് ആറു പേര്.

3. Of Jeduthun, the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, and Zeri, and Jeshaiah, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah [with Shimei, mentioned], six, under the hand of their father Jeduthun, who prophesied with a harp to give thanks and to praise the LORD.

4. ഹേമാന്യരോബുക്കീയാവു; മത്ഥന്യാവു, ഉസ്സീയേല്, ശെബൂവേല്, യെരീമോത്ത്, ഹനന്യാവു, ഹനാനി, എലീയാഥാ, ഗിദ്ദല്തി, രോമംതി-ഏസെര്, യൊശ്ബെക്കാശാ, മല്ലോഥി, ഹോഥീര്, മഹസീയോത്ത് എന്നിവര് ഹേമാന്റെ പുത്രന്മാര്.

4. Of Heman, the sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, and Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, and Romamtiezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, and Mahazioth.

5. ഇവര് എല്ലാവരും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വചനങ്ങളില് രാജാവിന്റെ ദര്ശകനായ ഹേമാന്റെ പുത്രന്മാര്. അവന്റെ കൊമ്പുയര്ത്തേണ്ടതിന്നു ദൈവം ഹേമാന്നു പതിന്നാലു പുത്രന്മാരെയും മൂന്നു പുത്രിമാരെയും കൊടുത്തിരുന്നു.

5. All these were the sons of Heman the king's seer in the matters of God, to lift up the horn. And God gave to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.

6. ഇവര് എല്ലാവരും ദൈവാലയത്തിലെ ശുശ്രൂഷെക്കു കൈത്താളങ്ങളാലും വീണകളാലും കിന്നരങ്ങളാലും യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തില് സംഗീതത്തിന്നായി താന്താങ്ങളുടെ അപ്പന്റെ കീഴിലും ആസാഫും യെദൂഥൂനും ഹേമാനും നേരെ രാജാവിന്റെ കല്പനെക്കു കീഴിലും ആയിരുന്നു.

6. All these were under the hand of their father for song in the house of the LORD with cymbals, psalteries and harps, for the service of the house of God, according to the king's order to Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman.

7. യഹോവേക്കു സംഗീതം ചെയ്വാന് അഭ്യാസം പ്രാപിച്ച നിപുണന്മാരായവരുടെ സകലസഹോദരന്മാരുമായി അവരുടെ സംഖ്യ ഇരുനൂറ്റെണ്പത്തെട്ടു.

7. So the number of them, with their brethren who were instructed in the songs of the LORD, even all who were skilled, was two hundred fourscore and eight.

8. താന്താങ്ങളുടെ ഉദ്യോഗക്രമം നിശ്ചയിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവര് ചെറിയവനും വലിയവനും ഗുരുവും ശിഷ്യനും ഒരുപോലെ ചീട്ടിട്ടു.

8. And they cast lots, watch against watch, the small as well as the great, the teacher as the scholar.

9. ഒന്നാമത്തെ ചീട്ടു ആസാഫിന്നുവേണ്ടി യോസേഫിന്നു വന്നു; രണ്ടാമത്തേതു ഗെദല്യാവിന്നു വന്നു; അവനും സഹോദരന്മാരും അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരും കൂടി പന്ത്രണ്ടുപേര്.

9. Now the first lot came forth for Asaph to Joseph; the second to Gedaliah, who with his brethren and sons were twelve;

10. മൂന്നാമത്തേതു സക്കൂരിന്നു വന്നു; അവനും പുത്രന്മാരും സഹോദരന്മാരും കൂടി പന്ത്രണ്ടുപേര്.

10. the third to Zaccur: he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

11. നാലാമത്തേതു യിസ്രിക്കു വന്നു; അവനും പുത്രന്മാരും സഹോദരന്മാരും കൂടി പന്ത്രണ്ടുപേര്.

11. the fourth to Izri: he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

12. അഞ്ചാമത്തേതു കെഥന്യാവിന്നു വന്നു; അവനും പുത്രന്മാരും സഹോദരന്മാരും കൂടി പന്ത്രണ്ടുപേര്.

12. the fifth to Nethaniah: he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

13. ആറാമത്തേതു ബുക്കീയാവിന്നു വന്നു; അവനും പുത്രന്മാരും സഹോദരന്മാരും കൂടി പന്ത്രണ്ടുപേര്.

13. the sixth to Bukkiah: he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

14. ഏഴാമത്തേതു യെശരേലെക്കു വന്നു; അവനും പുത്രന്മാരും സഹോദരന്മാരും കൂടി പന്ത്രണ്ടുപേര്.

14. the seventh to Jesharelah: he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

15. എട്ടാമത്തേതു യെശയ്യാവിന്നു വന്നു; അവനും പുത്രന്മാരും സഹോദരന്മാരും കൂടി പന്ത്രണ്ടുപേര്.

15. the eighth to Jeshaiah: he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

16. ഒമ്പതാമത്തേതു മത്ഥന്യാവിന്നു വന്നു; അവനും പുത്രന്മാരും സഹോദരന്മാരും കൂടി പന്ത്രണ്ടു പേര്.

16. the ninth to Mattaniah: he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

17. പത്താമത്തേതു ശിമെയിക്കു വന്നു; അവനും പുത്രന്മാരും സഹോദരന്മാരും കൂടി പന്ത്രണ്ടുപേര്.

17. the tenth to Shimei: he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

18. പതിനൊന്നാമത്തേതു അസരേലിന്നു വന്നു; അവനും പുത്രന്മാരും സഹോദരന്മാരും കൂടി പന്ത്രണ്ടുപേര്.

18. the eleventh to Azarel: he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

19. പന്ത്രണ്ടാമത്തേതു ഹശബ്യാവിന്നു വന്നു; അവനും പുത്രന്മാരും സഹോദരന്മാരും കൂടി പന്ത്രണ്ടുപേര്.

19. the twelfth to Hashabiah: he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

20. പതിമ്മൂന്നാമത്തേതു ശൂബായേലിന്നു വന്നു; അവനും പുത്രന്മാരും സഹോദരന്മാരുംകൂടി പന്ത്രണ്ടുപേര്.

20. the thirteenth to Shubael: he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

21. പതിനാലാമത്തേതു മത്ഥിഥ്യാവിന്നു വന്നു; അവനും പുത്രന്മാരും സഹോദരന്മാരും കൂടി പന്ത്രണ്ടുപേര്.

21. the fourteenth to Mattithiah: he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

22. പതിനഞ്ചാമത്തേതു യെരീമോത്തിന്നു വന്നു; അവനും പുത്രന്മാരും സഹോദരന്മാരും കൂടി പന്ത്രണ്ടു പേര്.

22. the fifteenth to Jeremoth: he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

23. പതിനാറാമത്തേതു ഹനന്യാവിന്നു വന്നു; അവനും പുത്രന്മാരും സഹോദരന്മാരും കൂടി പന്ത്രണ്ടുപേര്.

23. the sixteenth to Hananiah: he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

24. പതിനേഴാമത്തേതു യൊശ്ബെക്കാശെക്കു വന്നു; അവനും പുത്രന്മാരും സഹോദരന്മാരും കൂടി പന്ത്രണ്ടുപേര്.

24. the seventeenth to Joshbekashah: he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

25. പതിനെട്ടാമത്തേതു ഹനാനിക്കു വന്നു; അവനും പുത്രന്മാരും സഹോദരന്മാരും കൂടി പന്ത്രണ്ടുപേര്.

25. the eighteenth to Hanani: he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

26. പത്തൊമ്പതാമത്തേതു മല്ലോഥിക്കുവന്നു; അവനും പുത്രന്മാരും സഹോദരന്മാരും കൂടി പന്ത്രണ്ടുപേര്.

26. the nineteenth to Mallothi: he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

27. ഇരുപതാമത്തേതു എലീയാഥെക്കു വന്നു; അവനും പുത്രന്മാരും സഹോദരന്മാരും കൂടി പന്ത്രണ്ടുപേര്.

27. the twentieth to Eliathah: he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

28. ഇരുപത്തൊന്നാമത്തേതു ഹോഥീരിന്നു വന്നു; അവനും പുത്രന്മാരും സഹോദരന്മാരും കൂടി പന്ത്രണ്ടുപേര്.

28. the one and twentieth to Hothir: he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

29. ഇരുപത്തിരണ്ടാമത്തേതു ഗിദ്ദല്തിക്കു വന്നു; അവനും പുത്രന്മാരും സഹോദരന്മാരും കൂടി പന്ത്രണ്ടുപേര്.

29. the two and twentieth to Giddalti: he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

30. ഇരുപത്തിമൂന്നാമത്തേതു മഹസീയോത്തിന്നു വന്നു; അവനും പുത്രന്മാരും സഹോദരന്മാരുംകൂടി പന്ത്രണ്ടുപേര്.

30. the three and twentieth to Mahazioth: he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve;

31. ഇരുപത്തിനാലാമത്തേതു രോമംതി-ഏസെരിന്നു വന്നു; അവനും പുത്രന്മാരും സഹോദരന്മാരും കൂടി പന്ത്രണ്ടുപേര്.

31. the four and twentieth to Romamtiezer: he, his sons, and his brethren were twelve.
