1. യിസ്രായേല് മുഴുവനും വംശാവലിയായി ചാര്ത്തപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു; അതു യിസ്രായേല്രാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ വൃത്താന്തപുസ്തകത്തില് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ. യെഹൂദയെയോ അവരുടെ അകൃത്യംനിമിത്തം ബദ്ധരാക്കി ബാബേലിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോയി.

1. So all Israel were reckoned by genealogies; and, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel: and Judah was carried away captive to Babylon for their disobedience.

2. അവരുടെ അവകാശത്തിലും പട്ടണങ്ങളിലും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന ആദ്യനിവാസികള് യിസ്രായേല്യരും പുരോഹിതന്മാരും ലേവ്യരും ദൈവാലയദാസന്മാരും ആയിരുന്നു.

2. Now the first inhabitants who lived in their possessions in their cities were Israel, the priests, the Levites, and the Nethinim.

3. യെരൂശലേമിലോ ചില യെഹൂദ്യരും ബെന്യാമീന്യരും എഫ്രയീമ്യരും മനശ്ശേയരും പാര്ത്തു.

3. In Jerusalem lived of the children of Judah, and of the children of Benjamin, and of the children of Ephraim and Manasseh:

4. അവരാരെന്നാല്യെഹൂദയുടെ മകനായ പേരെസ്സിന്റെ മക്കളില് ബാനിയുടെ മകനായ ഇമ്രിയുടെ മകനായ ഒമ്രിയുടെ മകനായ അമ്മീഹൂദിന്റെ മകന് ഊഥായി;

4. Uthai the son of Ammihud, the son of Omri, the son of Imri, the son of Bani, of the children of Perez the son of Judah.

5. ശീലോന്യരില് ആദ്യജാതനായ അസായാവും അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരും;

5. Of the Shilonites: Asaiah the firstborn, and his sons.

6. സേരഹിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരില് യെയൂവേലും അവരുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരുമായ അറുനൂറ്റി തൊണ്ണൂറുപേരും;

6. Of the sons of Zerah: Jeuel, and their brothers, six hundred ninety.

7. Of the sons of Benjamin: Sallu the son of Meshullam, the son of Hodaviah, the son of Hassenuah,

8. യെരോഹാമിന്റെ മകനായ യിബ്നെയാവും മിക്രിയുടെ മകനായ ഉസ്സിയുടെ മകന് ഏലയും യിബ്നെയാവിന്റെ മകനായ രെയൂവേലിന്റെ മകനായ ശെഫത്യാവിന്റെ മകന് മെശുല്ലാമും

8. and Ibneiah the son of Jeroham, and Elah the son of Uzzi, the son of Michri, and Meshullam the son of Shephatiah, the son of Reuel, the son of Ibnijah;

9. തലമുറതലമുറയായി അവരുടെ സഹോദരന്മാര് ആകെ തൊള്ളായിരത്തമ്പത്താറുപേരും. ഈ പുരുഷന്മാരൊക്കെയും താന്താങ്ങളുടെ പിതൃഭവനങ്ങളില് കുടുംബത്തലവന്മാരായിരുന്നു.

9. and their brothers, according to their generations, nine hundred fifty-six. All these men were heads of fathers' houses by their fathers' houses.

10. പുരോഹിതന്മാരില് യെദയാവും യെഹോയാരീബും യാഖീനും

10. Of the priests: Jedaiah, and Jehoiarib, Jachin,

11. അഹീത്തൂബിന്റെ മകനായ മെരായോത്തിന്റെ മകനായ സാദോക്കിന്റെ മകനായ മെശുല്ലാമിന്റെ മകനായ ഹില്ക്കീയാവിന്റെ മകനായി ദൈവാലയാധിപനായ

11. and Azariah the son of Hilkiah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Meraioth, the son of Ahitub, the ruler of the house of God;

12. അസര്യ്യാവും മല്ക്കീയാവിന്റെ മകനായ പശ്ഹൂരിന്റെ മകനായ യെരോഹാമിന്റെ മകന് അദായാവും ഇമ്മോരിന്റെ മകനായ മെശില്ലേമീത്തിന്റെ മകനായ മെശുല്ലാമിന്റെ മകനായ യഹ്സേരയുടെ മകനായ അദീയേലിന്റെ മകന് മയശായിയും

12. and Adaiah the son of Jeroham, the son of Pashhur, the son of Malchijah, and Maasai the son of Adiel, the son of Jahzerah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Meshillemith, the son of Immer;

13. പിതൃഭവനങ്ങള്ക്കു തലവന്മാരായ അവരുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരും ആകെ ആയിരത്തെഴുനൂറ്ററുപതുപേര്. ഇവര് ദൈവാലയത്തിലെ ശുശ്രൂഷയുടെ വേലെക്കു ബഹുപ്രാപ്തന്മാര് ആയിരുന്നു.

13. and their brothers, heads of their fathers' houses, one thousand seven hundred sixty; very able men for the work of the service of the house of God.

14. ലേവ്യരിലോ മെരാര്യ്യരില് ഹശബ്യാവിന്റെ മകനായ അസ്രീക്കാമിന്റെ മകനായ ഹശ്ശൂബിന്റെ മകനായ ശെമയ്യാവും

14. Of the Levites: Shemaiah the son of Hasshub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah, of the sons of Merari;

15. ബക്ബക്കരും ഹേറെശും ഗാലാലും ആസാഫിന്റെ മകനായ സിക്രിയുടെ മകനായ മീഖയുടെ മകന് മത്ഥന്യാവും

15. and Bakbakkar, Heresh, and Galal, and Mattaniah the son of Mica, the son of Zichri, the son of Asaph,

16. യെദൂഥൂന്റെ മകനായ ഗാലാലിന്റെ മകനായ ശെമയ്യാവിന്റെ മകന് ഔബദ്യാവും നെതോഫാത്യരുടെ ഗ്രാമങ്ങളില് പാര്ത്ത എല്ക്കാനയുടെ മകനായ

16. and Obadiah the son of Shemaiah, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun, and Berechiah the son of Asa, the son of Elkanah, who lived in the villages of the Netophathites.

17. ആസയുടെ മകന് ബെരെഖ്യാവും വാതില്കാവല്ക്കാര്ശല്ലൂമും അക്കൂബും തല്മോനും അഹീമാനും അവരുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരും; ശല്ലൂമും തലവനായിരുന്നു.

17. The porters: Shallum, and Akkub, and Talmon, and Ahiman, and their brothers (Shallum was the chief),

18. ലേവ്യപാളയത്തില് വാതില്കാവല്ക്കാരായ ഇവര് കിഴക്കു വശത്തു രാജപടിവാതില്ക്കല് ഇന്നുവരെ കാവല്ചെയ്തുവരുന്നു.

18. who hitherto waited in the king's gate eastward: they were the porters for the camp of the children of Levi.

19. കോരഹിന്റെ മകനായ എബ്യാസാഫിന്റെ മകനായ കോരേയുടെ മകന് ശല്ലൂമും അവന്റെ പിതൃഭവനത്തിലെ അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരായ കോരഹ്യരും കൂടാരത്തിന്റെ ഉമ്മരപ്പടിക്കല് കാവല്ക്കാരായി ശുശ്രൂഷയുടെ വേലെക്കു മേല്വിചാരകന്മാരായിരുന്നു; അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരും യഹോവയുടെ പാളയത്തിന്നു മേല്വിചാരകന്മാരായി പ്രവേശനപാലകരായിരുന്നു.

19. Shallum the son of Kore, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah, and his brothers, of his father's house, the Korahites, were over the work of the service, keepers of the thresholds of the tent: and their fathers had been over the camp of Yahweh, keepers of the entry.

20. എലെയാസാരിന്റെ മകനായ ഫീനെഹാസ് പണ്ടു അവരുടെ അധിപനായിരുന്നു; യഹോവ അവനോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

20. Phinehas the son of Eleazar was ruler over them in time past, and Yahweh was with him.

21. മെശേലെമ്യാവിന്റെ മകനായ സെഖര്യ്യാവു സമാഗമനക്കുടാരത്തിന്റെ വാതില്ക്കല് കാവല്ക്കാരനായിരുന്നു.

21. Zechariah the son of Meshelemiah was porter of the door of the tent of meeting.

22. ഉമ്മരപ്പടിക്കല് കാവല്ക്കാരായി നിയമിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരുന്ന ഇവര് ആകെ ഇരുനൂറ്റി പന്ത്രണ്ടുപേര്. അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ ഗ്രാമങ്ങളില് വംശാവലിപ്രകാരം ചാര്ത്തപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു; ദാവീദും ദര്ശകനായ ശമൂവേലും ആയിരുന്നു അവരെ അതതു ഉദ്യോഗത്തിലാക്കിയതു.

22. All these who were chosen to be porters in the thresholds were two hundred and twelve. These were reckoned by genealogy in their villages, whom David and Samuel the seer did ordain in their office of trust.

23. ഇങ്ങനെ അവരും അവരുടെ പുത്രന്മാരും കൂടാരനിവാസമായ യഹോവാലയത്തിന്റെ വാതിലുകള്ക്കു കാവല്മുറപ്രകാരം കാവല്ക്കാരായിരുന്നു.

23. So they and their children had the oversight of the gates of the house of Yahweh, even the house of the tent, by wards.

24. കിഴക്കും പടിഞ്ഞാറും വടക്കും തെക്കും ഇങ്ങനെ നാലുവശത്തും കാവല്ക്കാരുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

24. On the four sides were the porters, toward the east, west, north, and south.

25. ഗ്രാമങ്ങളിലെ അവരുടെ സഹോദരന്മാര് ഏഴാം ദിവസം തോറും മാറി മാറി വന്നു അവരോടുകൂടെ ഊഴക്കാരായിരുന്നു.

25. Their brothers, in their villages, were to come in every seven days from time to time to be with them:

26. വാതില് കാവല്ക്കാരില് പ്രധാനികളായ ഈ നാലും ലേവ്യരും ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരായി ദൈവാലയത്തിലെ അറകള്ക്കും ഭണ്ഡാരത്തിന്നും മേല്വിചാരം നടത്തി.

26. for the four chief porters, who were Levites, were in an office of trust, and were over the chambers and over the treasuries in the house of God.

27. കാവലും രാവിലെതോറും വാതില് തുറക്കുന്ന മുറയും അവര്ക്കുംള്ളതുകൊണ്ടു അവര് ദൈവാലയത്തിന്റെ ചുറ്റും രാപാര്ത്തുവന്നു.

27. They lodged round about the house of God, because the charge of it was on them; and to them pertained the opening of it morning by morning.

28. അവരില് ചിലര്ക്കും ശുശ്രൂഷെക്കുള്ള ഉപകരണങ്ങളുടെ വിചാരണ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവയെ എണ്ണീട്ടു അകത്തു കൊണ്ടുപോയും പുറത്തു കൊണ്ടുവരികയും ചെയ്യും.

28. Certain of them had charge of the vessels of service; for by count were these brought in and by count were these taken out.

29. അവരില് ചിലരെ ഉപകരണങ്ങള്ക്കും സകലവിശുദ്ധപാത്രങ്ങള്ക്കും മാവു, വീഞ്ഞു, കുന്തുരുക്കം, സുഗന്ധവര്ഗ്ഗം എന്നിവേക്കും മേല്വിചാരകരായി നിയമിച്ചിരുന്നു.

29. Some of them also were appointed over the furniture, and over all the vessels of the sanctuary, and over the fine flour, and the wine, and the oil, and the frankincense, and the spices.

30. പുരോഹിതപുത്രന്മാരില് ചിലര് സുഗന്ധതൈലം ഉണ്ടാക്കും.

30. Some of the sons of the priests prepared the confection of the spices.

31. ലേവ്യരില് ഒരുത്തനായി കോരഹ്യനായ ശല്ലൂമിന്റെ ആദ്യജാതന് മത്ഥിഥ്യാവിന്നു ചട്ടികളില് ചുട്ടുണ്ടാക്കിയ സാധനങ്ങളുടെ മേല്വിചാരണ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

31. Mattithiah, one of the Levites, who was the firstborn of Shallum the Korahite, had the office of trust over the things that were baked in pans.

32. കെഹാത്യരായ അവരുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരില് ചിലര്ക്കും ശബ്ബത്തുതോറും കാഴ്ചയപ്പം ഒരുക്കുവാനുള്ള ചുമതല ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

32. Some of their brothers, of the sons of the Kohathites, were over the show bread, to prepare it every Sabbath.

33. ലേവ്യരുടെ പിതൃഭവനങ്ങളില് പ്രധാനന്മാരായ ഇവര് സംഗീതക്കാരായി ആഗാരങ്ങളില് പാര്ത്തിരുന്നു. അവര് രാവും പകലും തങ്ങളുടെ വേലയില് ഭാരപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു മറ്റു ശുശ്രൂഷകളില്നിന്നു ഒഴിവുള്ളവരായിരുന്നു.

33. These are the singers, heads of fathers' houses of the Levites, who lived in the chambers and were free from other service; for they were employed in their work day and night.

34. ഈ പ്രധാനികള് ലേവ്യരുടെ പിതൃഭവനങ്ങള്ക്കു തലമുറതലമുറയായി തലവന്മാരായിരുന്നു; അവര് യെരൂശലേമില് പാര്ത്തുവന്നു.

34. These were heads of fathers' houses of the Levites, throughout their generations, chief men: these lived at Jerusalem.

35. ഗിബെയോനില് ഗിബെയോന്റെ പിതാവായ യെയീയേലും--അവന്റെ ഭാര്യെക്കു മയഖാ എന്നു പേര്--

35. In Gibeon there lived the father of Gibeon, Jeiel, whose wife's name was Maacah:

36. അവന്റെ മൂത്തമകന് അബ്ദോന് , സൂര്, കീശ്, ബാല്, നേര്,

36. and his firstborn son Abdon, and Zur, and Kish, and Baal, and Ner, and Nadab,

37. നാദാബ്, ഗെദോര്, അഹ്യോ, സെഖര്യ്യാവു, മിക്ളോത്ത് എന്നിവരും പാര്ത്തു.

37. and Gedor, and Ahio, and Zechariah, and Mikloth.

38. മിക്ളോത്ത് ശിമെയാമിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരോടുകൂടെ യെരൂശലേമില് തങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരന്മാര്ക്കും എതിരെ പാര്ത്തു.

38. Mikloth became the father of Shimeam. They also lived with their brothers in Jerusalem, over against their brothers.

39. നേര് കീശിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; കീശ് ശൌലിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; ശൌല് യോനാഥാനെയും മല്ക്കീശൂവയെയും അബീനാദാബിനെയും എശ്-ബാലിനെയും ജനിപ്പിച്ചു.

39. Ner became the father of Kish; and Kish became the father of Saul; and Saul became the father of Jonathan, and Malchishua, and Abinadab, and Eshbaal.

40. യോനാഥാന്റെ മകന് മെരീബ്ബാല്; മെരീബ്ബാല് മീഖയെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു.

40. The son of Jonathan was Merib Baal; and Merib Baal became the father of Micah.

41. മീഖയുടെ പുത്രന്മാര്പീഥോന് , മേലെക്, തഹ്രേയ, ആഹാസ്.

41. The sons of Micah: Pithon, and Melech, and Tahrea, and Ahaz.

42. ആഹാസ് യാരയെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; യാരാ അലേമെത്തിനെയും അസ്മാവെത്തിനെയും സിമ്രിയെയും ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; സിമ്രി മോസയെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു;

42. Ahaz became the father of Jarah; and Jarah became the father of Alemeth, and Azmaveth, and Zimri; and Zimri became the father of Moza;

43. മോസ ബിനെയയെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; അവന്റെ മകന് രെഫയാവു; അവന്റെ മകന് എലാസാ; അവന്റെ മകന് ആസേല്.

43. and Moza became the father of Binea; and Rephaiah his son, Eleasah his son, Azel his son.

44. ആസേലിന്നു ആറു മക്കള് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവരുടെ പേരുകള്അസ്രീക്കാം, ബെക്രൂ, യിശ്മായേല്, ശെയര്യ്യാവു, ഔബദ്യാവു, ഹാനാന് ; ഇവര് ആസേലിന്റെ മക്കള്.

44. Azel had six sons, whose names are these: Azrikam, Bocheru, and Ishmael, and Sheariah, and Obadiah, and Hanan: these were the sons of Azel.
