1. യഹോവ പിന്നെയും ഇയ്യോബിനോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു എന്തെന്നാല്

1. The Lord continued,

2. ആക്ഷേപകന് സര്വ്വശക്തനോടു വാദിക്കുമോ? ദൈവത്തോടു തര്ക്കിക്കുന്നവന് ഇതിന്നു ഉത്തരം പറയട്ടെ.

2. 'I am the Mighty One. Will the man who argues with me correct me? Let him who brings charges against me answer me!'

3. അതിന്നു ഇയ്യോബ് യഹോവയോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതു

3. Job replied to the Lord,

4. ഞാന് നിസ്സാരനല്ലോ, ഞാന് നിന്നോടു എന്തുത്തരം പറയേണ്ടു? ഞാന് കൈകൊണ്ടു വായി പൊത്തിക്കൊള്ളുന്നു.

4. 'I'm not worthy. How can I reply to you? I'm putting my hand over my mouth. I'll stop talking.

5. ഒരുവട്ടം ഞാന് സംസാരിച്ചു; ഇനി ഉത്തരം പറകയില്ല. രണ്ടുവട്ടം ഞാന് ഉരചെയ്തു; ഇനി മിണ്ടുകയില്ല.

5. I spoke once. But I really don't have any answer. I spoke twice. But I won't say anything else.'

6. അപ്പോള് യഹോവ ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റില്നിന്നു ഇയ്യോബിനോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാല്

6. Then the Lord spoke to Job out of the storm. He said,

7. നീ പുരുഷനെപ്പോലെ അര മുറുക്കിക്കൊള്ക; ഞാന് നിന്നോടു ചോദിക്കും; നീ എനിക്കു ഗ്രഹിപ്പിച്ചുതരിക.

7. 'Get ready to stand up for yourself. I will ask you some more questions. Then I want you to answer me.

8. നീ എന്റെ ന്യായത്തെ ദുര്ബ്ബലപ്പെടുത്തുമോ? നീ നീതിമാനാകേണ്ടതിന്നു എന്നെ കുറ്റം പറയുമോ?

8. 'Would you dare to claim that I am not being fair? Would you judge me in order to make yourself seem right?

9. ദൈവത്തിന്നുള്ളതുപോലെ നിനക്കു ഭുജം ഉണ്ടോ? അവനെപ്പോലെ നിനക്കു ഇടിമുഴക്കാമോ?

9. Is your arm as powerful as mine is? Can your voice thunder as mine does?

10. നീ മഹിമയും പ്രതാപവും അണിഞ്ഞുകൊള്ക. തേജസ്സും പ്രഭാവവും ധരിച്ചുകൊള്ക.

10. Then put on glory and beauty as if they were your clothes. Also put honor and majesty on.

11. നിന്റെ കോപപ്രവാഹങ്ങളെ ഒഴുക്കുക; ഏതു ഗര്വ്വിയെയും നോക്കി താഴ്ത്തുക.

11. Let loose your great anger. Look at those who are proud and bring them low.

12. ഏതു ഗര്വ്വിയെയും നോക്കി കവിഴ്ത്തുക; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരെ അവരുടെ നിലയില് തന്നേ വീഴ്ത്തിക്കളക.

12. Look at proud people and bring them down. Crush those who are evil right where they are.

13. അവരെ ഒക്കെയും പൊടിയില് മറെച്ചുവെക്കുക; അവരുടെ മുഖങ്ങളെ മറവിടത്തു ബന്ധിച്ചുകളക.

13. Bury their bodies in the dust together. Cover their faces in the grave.

14. അപ്പോള് നിന്റെ വലങ്കൈ നിന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഞാനും നിന്നെ ശ്ളാഘിച്ചു പറയും.

14. Then I myself will admit to you that your own right hand can save you.

15. ഞാന് നിന്നെപ്പോലെ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്ന നദീഹയമുണ്ടല്ലോ; അതു കാളയെപ്പോലെ പുല്ലുതിന്നുന്നു.

15. 'Look at the behemoth. It is a huge animal. I made both of you. It eats grass like an ox.

16. അതിന്റെ ശക്തി അതിന്റെ കടിപ്രദേശത്തും അതിന്റെ ബലം വയറ്റിന്റെ മാംസപേശികളിലും ആകുന്നു.

16. Look at the strength it has in its hips! What power it has in the muscles of its stomach!

17. ദേവദാരുതുല്യമായ തന്റെ വാല് അതു ആട്ടുന്നു; അതിന്റെ തുടയിലെ ഞരമ്പുകള് കൂടി പിണഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

17. Its tail sways back and forth like a cedar tree. The tendons of its thighs are close together.

18. അതിന്റെ അസ്ഥികള് ചെമ്പുകുഴല്പോലെയും എല്ലുകള് ഇരിമ്പഴിപോലെയും ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

18. Its bones are like tubes made out of bronze. Its legs are like rods made out of iron.

19. അതു ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സൃഷ്ടികളില് പ്രധാനമായുള്ളതു; അതിനെ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയവന് അതിന്നു ഒരു വാള് കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

19. It ranks first among my works. I made it. I can approach it with my sword.

20. കാട്ടുമൃഗങ്ങളൊക്കെയും കളിക്കുന്നിടമായ പര്വ്വതങ്ങള് അതിന്നു തീന് വിളയിക്കുന്നു.

20. The hills produce food for it. All of the other wild animals play near it.

21. അതു നീര്മരുതിന്റെ ചുവട്ടിലും ഞാങ്ങണയുടെ മറവിലും ചതുപ്പുനിലത്തും കിടക്കുന്നു.

21. It lies under lotus plants. It hides in tall grass in the swamps.

22. നീര്മരുതു നിഴല്കൊണ്ടു അതിനെ മറെക്കുന്നു; തോട്ടിങ്കലെ അലരി അതിനെ ചുറ്റി നിലക്കുന്നു;

22. The lotus plants hide it in their shade. Poplar trees near streams surround it.

23. നദി കവിഞ്ഞൊഴുകിയാലും അതു ഭ്രമിക്കുന്നില്ല; യോര്ദ്ദാന് അതിന്റെ വായിലേക്കു ചാടിയാലും അതു നിര്ഭയമായിരിക്കും.

23. It is not afraid when the river roars. It is secure even when the Jordan River rushes against its mouth.

24. അതു നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കെ അതിനെ പിടിക്കാമോ? അതിന്റെ മൂക്കില് കയര് കോര്ക്കാമോ?

24. Can anyone capture it by its eyes? Can anyone trap it and poke a hole through its nose?
