1. ആരോഹണ ഗീതം

1. The song of the stairs. Out of the deep call I unto thee O LORD, Lord(o LORDE, LORDE) hear my voice.

2. യഹോവേ, ആഴത്തില്നിന്നു ഞാന് നിന്നോടു നിലവിളിക്കുന്നു;

2. Oh let thine ears consider well the voice of my complaint.

3. കര്ത്താവേ, എന്റെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥന കേള്ക്കേണമേ; നിന്റെ ചെവി എന്റെ യാചനകള്ക്കു ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചിരിക്കേണമേ.

3. If thou, LORD wilt be extreme to mark what is done amiss, Oh Lord(LORDE) who may abide it?

4. യഹോവേ, നീ അകൃത്യങ്ങളെ ഔര്മ്മവെച്ചാല് കര്ത്താവേ, ആര് നിലനിലക്കും?

4. But there is mercy with thee, that thou mayest be feared.

5. എങ്കിലും നിന്നെ ഭയപ്പെടുവാന് തക്കവണ്ണം നിന്റെ പക്കല് വിമോചനം ഉണ്ടു.

5. I look for the LORD, my soul doth wait for him, and in his word is my trust.

6. ഞാന് യഹോവെക്കായി കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ഉള്ളം കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ വചനത്തില് ഞാന് പ്രത്യാശവെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

6. My soul doth patiently abide the Lord,(LORDE) from the one morning to the other.

7. ഉഷസ്സിന്നായി കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നവരെക്കാള്, ഉഷസ്സിന്നായി കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നവരെക്കാള് എന്റെ ഉള്ളം യഹോവെക്കായി കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

7. Let Israel trust in the LORD, for with the LORD there is mercy and plenteous redemption.

8. യിസ്രായേലേ, യഹോവയില് പ്രത്യാശവെച്ചുകൊള്ക; യഹോവേക്കു കൃപയും അവന്റെപക്കല് ധാരാളം വീണ്ടെടുപ്പും ഉണ്ടു.

8. And he shall redeem Israel from all his sins.
