1. A Song of the Ascents. Remember, Jehovah, for David, all his afflictions.

2. യഹോവേ, ദാവീദിനെയും അവന്റെ സകലകഷ്ടതയെയും ഔര്ക്കേണമേ.

2. Who hath sworn to Jehovah. He hath vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob:

3. അവന് യഹോവയോടു സത്യം ചെയ്തു യാക്കോബിന്റെ വല്ലഭന്നു നേര്ന്നതു എന്തെന്നാല്

3. 'If I enter into the tent of my house, If I go up on the couch of my bed,

4. ഞാന് യഹോവേക്കു ഒരു സ്ഥലം, യാക്കോബിന്റെ വല്ലഭന്നു ഒരു നിവാസം കണ്ടെത്തുംവരെ

4. If I give sleep to mine eyes, To mine eyelids -- slumber,

5. ഞാന് എന്റെ കൂടാരവീട്ടില് കടക്കയില്ല; എന്റെ ശയ്യമേല് കയറി കിടക്കുകയുമില്ല.

5. Till I do find a place for Jehovah, Tabernacles for the Mighty One of Jacob.

6. ഞാന് എന്റെ കണ്ണിന്നു ഉറക്കവും എന്റെ കണ്പോളെക്കു മയക്കവും കൊടുക്കയില്ല.

6. 'Lo, we have heard it in Ephratah, We have found it in the fields of the forest.

7. നാം എഫ്രാത്തയില് അതിനെക്കുറിച്ചു കേട്ടു വനപ്രദേശത്തു അതിനെ കണ്ടെത്തിയല്ലോ.

7. We come in to His tabernacles, We bow ourselves at His footstool.

8. നാം അവന്റെ തിരുനിവാസത്തിലേക്കുചെന്നു അവന്റെ പാദപീഠത്തിങ്കല് നമസ്കരിക്കുക.

8. Arise, O Jehovah, to Thy rest, Thou, and the ark of Thy strength,

9. യഹോവേ, നീ നിന്റെ ബലത്തിന്റെ പെട്ടകവുമായി നിന്റെ വിശ്രാമത്തിലേക്കു എഴുന്നെള്ളേണമേ.

9. Thy priests do put on righteousness, And Thy pious ones cry aloud.

10. നിന്റെ പുരോഹിതന്മാര് നീതി ധരിക്കയും നിന്റെ ഭക്തന്മാര് ഘോഷിച്ചുല്ലസിക്കയും ചെയ്യട്ടെ.

10. For the sake of David Thy servant, Turn not back the face of Thine anointed.

11. നിന്റെ ദാസനായ ദാവീദിന് നിമിത്തം നിന്റെ അഭിഷിക്തന്റെ മുഖത്തെ തിരിച്ചു കളയരുതേ.

11. Jehovah hath sworn truth to David, He turneth not back from it: Of the fruit of thy body, I set on the throne for thee.

12. ഞാന് നിന്റെ ഉദരഫലത്തെ നിന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തില് ഇരുത്തുമെന്നും

12. If thy sons keep My covenant, And My testimonies that I teach them, Their sons also for ever and ever, Do sit on the throne for thee.

13. നിന്റെ മക്കള് എന്റെ നിയമത്തെയും ഞാന് അവര്ക്കും ഉപദേശിച്ച സാക്ഷ്യത്തെയും പ്രമാണിക്കുമെങ്കില് അവരുടെ മക്കളും എന്നേക്കും നിന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തില് ഇരിക്കും എന്നും യഹോവ ദാവീദിനോടു ആണയിട്ടു സത്യം; അവന് അതില്നിന്നു മാറുകയില്ല.

13. For Jehovah hath fixed on Zion, He hath desired [it] for a seat to Himself,

14. യഹോവ സീയോനെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കയും അതിനെ തന്റെ വാസസ്ഥലമായി ഇച്ഛിക്കയും ചെയ്തു.

14. This [is] My rest for ever and ever, Here do I sit, for I have desired it.

15. അതു എന്നേക്കും എന്റെ വിശ്രാമം ആകുന്നു; ഞാന് അതിനെ ഇച്ഛിച്ചിരിക്കയാല് ഞാന് അവിടെ വസിക്കും;

15. Her provision I greatly bless, Her needy ones I satisfy [with] bread,

16. അതിലെ ആഹാരം ഞാന് സമൃദ്ധിയായി അനുഗ്രഹിക്കും; അതിലെ ദരിദ്രന്മാര്ക്കും അപ്പംകൊണ്ടു തൃപ്തി വരുത്തും.

16. And her priests I clothe [with] salvation, And her pious ones do sing aloud.

17. അതിലെ പുരോഹിതന്മാരെയും രക്ഷ ധരിപ്പിക്കും; അതിലെ ഭക്തന്മാര് ഘോഷിച്ചുല്ലസിക്കും.

17. There I cause to spring up a horn for David, I have arranged a lamp for Mine anointed.

18. അവിടെ ഞാന് ദാവീദിന്നു ഒരു കൊമ്പു മുളെപ്പിക്കും; എന്റെ അഭിഷിക്തന്നു ഒരു ദീപം ഒരുക്കീട്ടുമുണ്ടു.

18. His enemies I do clothe [with] shame, And upon him doth his crown flourish!
