1. ദൈവമേ, ഞാന് നിന്നെ ശരണം ആക്കിയിരിക്കയാല് എന്നെ കാത്തുകൊള്ളേണമേ,

1. A Poem of David; [probably] intended to record memorable thoughts. KEEP and protect me, O God, for in You I have found refuge, and in You do I put my trust and hide myself.

2. ഞാന് യഹോവയോടു പറഞ്ഞതുനീ എന്റെ കര്ത്താവാകുന്നു; നീ ഒഴികെ എനിക്കു ഒരു നന്മയും ഇല്ല.

2. I say to the Lord, You are my Lord; I have no good beside or beyond You.

3. ഭൂമിയിലെ വിശുദ്ധന്മാരോ അവര് എനിക്കു പ്രസാദമുള്ള ശ്രേഷ്ഠന്മാര് തന്നേ.

3. As for the godly (the saints) who are in the land, they are the excellent, the noble, and the glorious, in whom is all my delight.

4. അന്യദേവനെ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നവരുടെ വേദനകള് വര്ദ്ധിക്കും; അവരുടെ രക്തപാനീയബലികളെ ഞാന് അര്പ്പിക്കയില്ല; അവരുടെ നാമങ്ങളെ എന്റെ നാവിന്മേല് എടുക്കയുമില്ല.

4. Their sorrows shall be multiplied who choose another god; their drink offerings of blood will I not offer or take their names upon my lips.

5. എന്റെ അവകാശത്തിന്റെയും പാനപാത്രത്തിന്റെയും പങ്കു യഹോവ ആകുന്നു; നീ എനിക്കുള്ള ഔഹരിയെ പരിപാലിക്കുന്നു.

5. The Lord is my chosen and assigned portion, my cup; You hold and maintain my lot.

6. അളവുനൂല് എനിക്കു മനോഹരദേശത്തു വീണിരിക്കുന്നു; അതേ, എനിക്കു നല്ലോരവകാശം ലഭിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

6. The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; yes, I have a good heritage.

7. എനിക്കു ബുദ്ധി ഉപദേശിച്ചുതന്ന യഹോവയെ ഞാന് വാഴ്ത്തും; രാത്രികാലങ്ങളിലും എന്റെ അന്തരംഗം എന്നെ ഉപദേശിക്കുന്നു.

7. I will bless the Lord, Who has given me counsel; yes, my heart instructs me in the night seasons.

8. ഞാന് യഹോവയെ എപ്പോഴും എന്റെ മുമ്പില് വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവന് എന്റെ വലത്തുഭാഗത്തുള്ളതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാന് കുലുങ്ങിപ്പോകയില്ല.

8. I have set the Lord continually before me; because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

9. അതുകൊണ്ടു എന്റെ ഹൃദയം സന്തോഷിച്ചു എന്റെ മനസ്സു ആനന്ദിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ജഡവും നിര്ഭയമായി വസിക്കും.

9. Therefore my heart is glad and my glory [my inner self] rejoices; my body too shall rest and confidently dwell in safety,

10. നീ എന്റെ പ്രാണനെ പാതാളത്തില് വിടുകയില്ല. നിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധനെ ദ്രവത്വം കാണ്മാന് സമ്മതിക്കയുമില്ല.

10. For You will not abandon me to Sheol (the place of the dead), neither will You suffer Your holy one [Holy One] to see corruption. [Acts 13:35.]

11. ജീവന്റെ വഴി നീ എനിക്കു കാണിച്ചുതരും; നിന്റെ സന്നിധിയില് സന്തോഷപരിപൂര്ണ്ണതയും നിന്റെ വലത്തുഭാഗത്തു എന്നും പ്രമോദങ്ങളും ഉണ്ടു.

11. You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy, at Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore. [Acts 2:25-28, 31.]
