1. മാന് നീര്ത്തോടുകളിലേക്കു ചെല്ലുവാന് കാംക്ഷിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ ദൈവമേ, എന്റെ ആത്മാവു നിന്നോടു ചേരുവാന് കാംക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.

1. As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O Elohim.

2. എന്റെ ആത്മാവു ദൈവത്തിന്നായി, ജീവനുള്ള ദൈവത്തിന്നായി തന്നേ, ദാഹിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് എപ്പോള് ദൈവസന്നിധിയില് ചെല്ലുവാനിടയാകും.

2. My soul thirsteth for Elohim, for the living El: when shall I come and appear before Elohim?

3. നിന്റെ ദൈവം എവിടെ എന്നു അവര് എന്നോടു നിത്യം പറയുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു എന്റെ കണ്ണുനീര് രാവും പകലും എന്റെ ആഹാരമായ്തീര്ന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

3. My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, Where is thy Elohim?

4. ഉത്സവം ആചരിക്കുന്ന പുരുഷാരത്തിന്റെ സന്തോഷവും സ്തോത്രവുമായ സ്വരത്തോടുകൂടെ സമൂഹമദ്ധ്യേ ഞാന് ദൈവാലയത്തിലേക്കു ചെന്നതു ഔര്ത്തു എന്റെ ഉള്ളം എന്നില് പകരുന്നു.

4. When I remember these things, I pour out my soul in me: for I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of Elohim, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept holyday.

5. എന്റെ ആത്മാവേ, നീ വിഷാദിച്ചു ഉള്ളില് ഞരങ്ങുന്നതെന്തു? ദൈവത്തില് പ്രത്യാശ വെക്കുക; അവന് എന്റെ മുഖപ്രകാശകരക്ഷയും എന്റെ ദൈവവുമാകുന്നു എന്നിങ്ങനെ ഞാന് ഇനിയും അവനെ സ്തുതിക്കും.

5. Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in Elohim: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.

6. എന്റെ ദൈവമേ, എന്റെ ആത്മാവു എന്നില് വിഷാദിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ടു യോര്ദ്ദാന് പ്രദേശത്തും ഹെര്മ്മോന് പര്വ്വതങ്ങളിലും മിസാര്മലയിലുംവെച്ചു ഞാന് നിന്നെ ഔര്ക്കുംന്നു;

6. O my Elohim, my soul is cast down within me: therefore will I remember thee from the land of Jordan, and of the Hermonites, from the hill Mizar.

7. നിന്റെ നീര്ച്ചാട്ടങ്ങളുടെ ഇരെച്ചലാല് ആഴി ആഴിയെ വിളിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ ഔളങ്ങളും തിരമാലകളുമെല്ലാം എന്റെ മീതെ കടന്നുപോകുന്നു.

7. Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.

8. യഹോവ പകല്നേരത്തു തന്റെ ദയ കല്പിക്കും; രാത്രിസമയത്തു ഞാന് അവന്നു പാട്ടു പാടിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കും; എന്റെ ജീവന്റെ ദൈവത്തോടുള്ള പ്രാര്ത്ഥന തന്നേ.

8. Yet YHWH will command his lovingkindness in the daytime, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the El of my life.

9. നീ എന്നെ മറന്നതു എന്തു? ശത്രുവിന്റെ ഉപദ്രവംഹേതുവായി ഞാന് ദുഃഖിച്ചുനടക്കേണ്ടിവന്നതുമെന്തു? എന്നു ഞാന് എന്റെ പാറയായ ദൈവത്തോടു പറയും.

9. I will say unto El my rock, Why hast thou forgotten me? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?

10. നിന്റെ ദൈവം എവിടെ എന്നു എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കള് ഇടവിടാതെ എന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടു എന്റെ അസ്ഥികളെ തകര്ക്കുംവണ്ണം എന്നെ നിന്ദിക്കുന്നു.

10. As with a sword in my bones, mine enemies reproach me; while they say daily unto me, Where is thy Elohim?

11. എന്റെ ആത്മാവേ, നീ വിഷാദിച്ചു ഉള്ളില് ഞരങ്ങുന്നതു എന്തു? ദൈവത്തില് പ്രത്യാശവെക്കുക; അവന് എന്റെ മുഖപ്രകാശകരക്ഷയും എന്റെ ദൈവവുമാകുന്നു എന്നിങ്ങനെ ഞാന് ഇനിയും അവനെ സ്തുതിക്കും.
