1. ദൈവമേ, പൂര്വ്വകാലത്തു ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ നാളുകളില് നീ ചെയ്ത പ്രവൃത്തി അവര് ഞങ്ങളോടു വിവരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞങ്ങളുടെ ചെവികൊണ്ടു ഞങ്ങള് കേട്ടുമിരിക്കുന്നു;

1. We haue herde with or eares (o God) or fathers haue tolde vs, what thou hast done in their tyme, of olde.

2. നിന്റെ കൈകൊണ്ടു നീ ജാതികളെ പുറത്താക്കി ഇവരെ നട്ടു; നീ വംശങ്ങളെ നശിപ്പിച്ചു, ഇവരെ പരക്കുമാറാക്കി.

2. How thou hast dryue out the Heithen wt thy honde, & plated the in: how thou hast destroyed the nacions & cast the out.

3. തങ്ങളുടെ വാളുകൊണ്ടല്ല അവര് ദേശത്തെ കൈവശമാക്കിയതു; സ്വന്തഭുജംകൊണ്ടല്ല അവര് ജയം നേടിയതു; നിന്റെ വലങ്കയ്യും നിന്റെ ഭുജവും നിന്റെ മുഖപ്രകാശവും കൊണ്ടത്രേ; നിനക്കു അവരോടു പ്രീതിയുണ്ടായിരുന്നുവല്ലോ.

3. For they gat not the londe in possession thorow their owne swerde, nether was it their owne arme that helped them.

4. ദൈവമേ, നീ എന്റെ രാജാവാകുന്നു; യാക്കോബിന്നു രക്ഷ കല്പിക്കേണമേ.

4. But thy right hade, thyne arme & the light of thy countenaunce, because thou haddest a fauoure vnto them.

5. നിന്നാല് ഞങ്ങള് വൈരികളെ തള്ളിയിടും; ഞങ്ങളോടു എതിര്ക്കുംന്നവരെ നിന്റെ നാമത്തില് ചവിട്ടിക്കളയും.

5. Thou art ye kinge & my God, thou sendest helpe vnto Iacob.

6. ഞാന് എന്റെ വില്ലില് ആശ്രയിക്കയില്ല; എന്റെ വാള് എന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കയുമില്ല.

6. Thorow ye, wil we ouerthrowe oure enemies: & in thy name will we treade them vnder, that ryse vp agaynst vs.

7. നീയത്രേ ഞങ്ങളെ വൈരികളുടെ കയ്യില് നിന്നു രക്ഷിച്ചതു; ഞങ്ങളെ പകെച്ചവരെ നീ ലജ്ജിപ്പിച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നു;

7. For I will not trust in my bowe, it is not my swerde yt shal helpe me.

8. ദൈവത്തില് ഞങ്ങള് നിത്യം പ്രശംസിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ നാമത്തിന്നു എന്നും സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്യുന്നു. സേലാ.

8. But it is thou that sauest vs fro oure enemies, and puttest them to confucion that hate vs.

9. ഇപ്പോഴോ, നീ ഞങ്ങളെ തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞു ലജ്ജിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞങ്ങളുടെ സൈന്യങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ പുറപ്പെടുന്നതുമില്ല.

9. We will allwaye make oure boast of God, and prayse thy name for euer.

10. വൈരിയുടെ മുമ്പില് നീ ഞങ്ങളെ പുറം കാട്ടുമാറാക്കുന്നു; ഞങ്ങളെ പകെക്കുന്നവര് ഞങ്ങളെ കൊള്ളയിടുന്നു.

10. Sela. But now thou forsakest vs, & puttest vs to confucion, and goest not forth with oure hoostes.

11. ഭക്ഷണത്തിന്നുള്ള ആടുകളെപ്പോലെ നീ ഞങ്ങളെ ഏല്പിച്ചുകൊടുത്തു; ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയില് ഞങ്ങളെ ചിന്നിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

11. Thou makest vs to turne oure backes vpon oure enemies, so that they which hate vs, spoile oure goodes.

12. നീ നിന്റെ ജനത്തെ വിലവാങ്ങാതെ വിലക്കുന്നു. അവരുടെ വിലകൊണ്ടു സമ്പത്തു വര്ദ്ധിപ്പിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.

12. Thou lettest vs be eaten vp like shepe, & scatrest vs amonge the Heithen.

13. നീ ഞങ്ങളെ അയല്ക്കാര്ക്കും അപമാനവിഷയവും ചുറ്റുമുള്ളവര്ക്കും നിന്ദയും പരിഹാസവും ആക്കുന്നു.

13. Thou sellest thy people for naught, & takest no moneye for them.

14. നീ ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയില് ഞങ്ങളെ പഴഞ്ചൊല്ലിന്നും വംശങ്ങളുടെ നടുവില് തലകുലുക്കത്തിന്നും വിഷയം ആക്കുന്നു.

14. Thou makest vs to be rebuked of or neghbours, to be laughed to scorne aud had in derision, of them that are rounde aboute vs.

15. നിന്ദിച്ചു ദുഷിക്കുന്നവന്റെ വാക്കു ഹേതുവായും ശത്രുവിന്റെയും പ്രതികാരകന്റെയും നിമിത്തമായും

15. Thou hast made vs a very byworde amonge the Heithen, & that the people shake their heades at vs.

16. എന്റെ അപമാനം ഇടവിടാതെ എന്റെ മുമ്പില് ഇരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ മുഖത്തെ ലജ്ജ എന്നെ മൂടിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

16. My cofucion is daylie before me, & the shame of my face couereth me.

17. ഇതൊക്കെയും ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു ഭവിച്ചു; ഞങ്ങളോ നിന്നെ മറന്നിട്ടില്ല; നിന്റെ നിയമത്തോടു അവിശ്വസ്തത കാണിച്ചിട്ടുമില്ല.

17. For the voyce of the slaunderer & blasphemer, for the enemie and auenger.

18. നീ ഞങ്ങളെ കുറുക്കന്മാരുടെ സ്ഥലത്തുവെച്ചു തകര്ത്തുകളവാനും കൂരിരുട്ടുകൊണ്ടു ഞങ്ങളെ മൂടുവാനും തക്കവണ്ണം

18. All this is come vpon vs, & yet haue we not forgotten the, ner behaued oure selues vnfaithfully in thy couenaunt.

19. ഞങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയം പിന്തിരികയോ ഞങ്ങളുടെ കാലടികള് നിന്റെ വഴി വിട്ടു മാറുകയോ ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല.

19. Oure hert is not turned backe, nether oure steppes gone out of thy waye.

20. ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ നാമത്തെ ഞങ്ങള് മറക്കയോ ഞങ്ങളുടെ കൈകളെ അന്യദൈവത്തിങ്കലേക്കു മലര്ത്തുകയോ ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ടെങ്കില്

20. That thou smytest vs so in the place of the serpet, & couerest vs with ye shadowe of death.

21. ദൈവം അതു ശോധന ചെയ്യാതിരിക്കുമോ? അവന് ഹൃദയത്തിലെ രഹസ്യങ്ങളെ അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ.

21. Yf we had forgotten the name of oure God, & holde vp oure hondes to eny straunge God: Shulde not God fynde it out? for he knoweth the very secretes of the hert.

22. നിന്റെ നിമിത്തം ഞങ്ങളെ ദിവസംപ്രതി കൊല്ലുന്നു; അറുപ്പാനുള്ള ആടുകളെപ്പോലെ ഞങ്ങളെ എണ്ണുന്നു.

22. But for thy sake we are kylled all the daie longe, and are counted as shepe apoynted to be slayne.

23. കര്ത്താവേ, ഉണരേണമേ; നീ ഉറങ്ങുന്നതു എന്തു? എഴുന്നേല്ക്കേണമേ; ഞങ്ങളെ എന്നേക്കും തള്ളിക്കളയരുതേ.

23. Vp LORDE, why slepest thou? Awake, and cast vs not of for euer.

24. നീ നിന്റെ മുഖത്തെ മറെക്കുന്നതും ഞങ്ങളുടെ കഷ്ടവും പീഡയും മറന്നുകളയുന്നതും എന്തു?

24. Wherfore hydest thou thy face? wilt thou clene forget oure misery and oppressio?

25. ഞങ്ങള് നിലത്തോളം കുനിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞങ്ങളുടെ വയറു ഭൂമിയോടു പറ്റിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

25. For oure soule is brought lowe euen vnto the dust, and oure bely cleueth vnto the grounde.

26. ഞങ്ങളുടെ സഹായത്തിന്നായി എഴുന്നേല്ക്കേണമേ; നിന്റെ ദയനിമിത്തം ഞങ്ങളെ വീണ്ടെടുക്കേണമേ;

26. Arise o LORDE, helpe vs, and delyuer vs for thy mercie sake.
