1. ദൈവമേ, എന്നോടു കൃപയുണ്ടാകേണമേ; മനുഷ്യര് എന്നെ വിഴുങ്ങുവാന് പോകുന്നു; അവര് ഇടവിടാതെ പൊരുതു എന്നെ ഞെരുക്കുന്നു.

1. To the chief Musician. On Jonathelem-rechokim. Of David. Michtam; when the Philistines took him in Gath. Be gracious unto me, O God; for man would swallow me up: all the day long fighting he oppresseth me.

2. എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കള് ഇടവിടാതെ എന്നെ വിഴുങ്ങുവാന് ഭാവിക്കുന്നു; ഗര്വ്വത്തോടെ എന്നോടു പൊരുതുന്നവര് അനേകരല്ലോ.

2. Mine enemies would swallow [me] up all the day long; for they are many that fight against me haughtily.

3. ഞാന് ഭയപ്പെടുന്ന നാളില് നിന്നില് ആശ്രയിക്കും.

3. In the day that I am afraid, I will confide in thee.

4. ഞാന് ദൈവത്തില് അവന്റെ വചനത്തെ പുകഴും; ഞാന് ദൈവത്തില് ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് ഭയപ്പെടുകയില്ല. ജഡത്തിന്നു എന്നോടു എന്തു ചെയ്വാന് കഴിയും?

4. In God will I praise his word, in God I put my confidence: I will not fear; what can flesh do unto me?

5. ഇടവിടാതെ അവര് എന്റെ വാക്കുകളെ കോട്ടിക്കളയുന്നു; അവരുടെ വിചാരങ്ങളൊക്കെയും എന്റെ നേരെ തിന്മെക്കായിട്ടാകുന്നു.

5. All the day long they wrest my words; all their thoughts are against me for evil.

6. അവര് കൂട്ടംകൂടി ഒളിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ പ്രാണന്നായി പതിയിരിക്കുമ്പോലെ അവര് എന്റെ കാലടികളെ നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

6. They gather themselves together, they hide themselves; they mark my steps, because they wait for my soul.

7. നീതികേടിനാല് അവര് ഒഴിഞ്ഞുപോകുമോ? ദൈവമേ, നിന്റെ കോപത്തില് ജാതികളെ തള്ളിയിടേണമേ.

7. Shall they escape by iniquity? In anger cast down the peoples, O God.

8. നീ എന്റെ ഉഴല്ചകളെ എണ്ണുന്നു; എന്റെ കണ്ണുനീര് നിന്റെ തുരുത്തിയില് ആക്കിവെക്കേണമേ; അതു നിന്റെ പുസ്തകത്തില് ഇല്ലയോ?

8. *Thou* countest my wanderings; put my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?

9. ഞാന് വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കുമ്പോള് തന്നേ എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കള് പിന് തിരിയുന്നു; ദൈവം എനിക്കു അനുകൂലമെന്നു ഞാന് അറിയുന്നു.

9. Then shall mine enemies return backward in the day when I call: this I know, for God is for me.

10. ഞാന് ദൈവത്തില് അവന്റെ വചനത്തെ പുകഴും; ഞാന് യഹോവയില് അവന്റെ വചനത്തെ പുകഴും.

10. In God will I praise [his] word; in Jehovah will I praise [his] word.

11. ഞാന് ദൈവത്തില് ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് ഭയപ്പെടുകയില്ല. മനുഷ്യന്നു എന്നോടു എന്തു ചെയ്വാന് കഴിയും?

11. In God have I put my confidence: I will not fear; what can man do unto me?

12. ദൈവമേ, നിനക്കുള്ള നേര്ച്ചകള്ക്കു ഞാന് കടമ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് നിനക്കു സ്തോത്രയാഗങ്ങളെ അര്പ്പിക്കും.

12. Thy vows are upon me, O God: I will render thanks unto thee.

13. ഞാന് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ ജീവന്റെ പ്രകാശത്തില് നടക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ എന്റെ പ്രാണനെ മരണത്തില്നിന്നും എന്റെ കാലുകളെ ഇടര്ച്ചയില്നിന്നും വിടുവിച്ചുവല്ലോ. (സംഗീതപ്രമാണിക്കു; നശിപ്പിക്കരുതേ എന്ന രാഗത്തില്; ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു സ്വര്ണ്ണഗീതം; അവന് ശൌലിന്റെ മുമ്പില്നിന്നു ഗുഹയിലേക്കു ഔടിപ്പോയ കാലത്തു ചമെച്ചതു.)

13. For thou hast delivered my soul from death; [wilt thou] not [keep] my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?
