1. യഹോവേ നീ എന്റെ ദൈവമാകുന്നു; ഞാന് നിന്നെ പുകഴ്ത്തും; ഞാന് നിന്റെ നാമത്തെ സ്തുതിക്കും; നീ അത്ഭുതമായി പണ്ടേയുള്ള ആലോചനകളെ വിശ്വസ്തതയോടും സത്യത്തോടും കൂടെ അനുഷ്ഠിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

1. O LORD, thou are my God. I will exalt thee. I will praise thy name. For thou have done wonderful things, even counsels of old, in faithfulness and truth.

2. നീ നഗരത്തെ കല്ക്കുന്നും ഉറപ്പുള്ള പട്ടണത്തെ ശൂന്യവും അന്യന്മാരുടെ അരമനകളെ നഗരമല്ലാതവണ്ണവും ആക്കിത്തീര്ത്തു; അതു ഒരു നാളും പണികയില്ല.

2. For thou have made of a city a heap, of a fortified city a ruin, a palace of strangers to be no city. It shall never be built.

3. അതുകൊണ്ടു ബലമുള്ള ജാതി നിന്നെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തും; ഭയങ്കരജാതികളുടെ പട്ടണം നിന്നെ ഭയപ്പെടും.

3. Therefore a strong people shall glorify thee, a city of oppressive nations shall fear thee.

4. ഭയങ്കരന്മാരുടെ ചീറ്റല് മതിലിന്റെ നേരെ കൊടുങ്കാറ്റുപോലെ അടിക്കുമ്പോള്, നീ എളിയവന്നു ഒരു ദുര്ഗ്ഗവും ദരിദ്രന്നു അവന്റെ കഷ്ടത്തില് ഒരു കോട്ടയും കൊടുങ്കാറ്റില് ഒരു ശരണവും ഉഷ്ണത്തില് ഒരു തണലും ആയിരിക്കുന്നു.

4. For thou have been a stronghold to a poor man, a stronghold to a needy man in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat, when the blast of the oppressors is as a storm against the wall.

5. വരണ്ട നിലത്തിലെ ഉഷ്ണത്തെപ്പോലെ നീ അന്യന്മാരുടെ ആരവത്തെ അടക്കിക്കളയുന്നു; മേഘത്തിന്റെ തണല്കൊണ്ടു ഉഷ്ണം എന്നപോലെ നിഷ്കണ്ടകന്മാരുടെ പാട്ടു ഒതുങ്ങിപ്പോകും.

5. As the heat in a dry place thou will bring down the noise of strangers, as the heat by the shade of a cloud, the song of the oppressors shall be brought low.

6. സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഈ പര്വ്വതത്തില് സകലജാതികള്ക്കും മൃഷ്ടഭോജനങ്ങള്കൊണ്ടും മട്ടൂറിയ വീഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടും ഒരു വിരുന്നു കഴിക്കും; മേദസ്സുനിറഞ്ഞ മൃഷ്ടഭോജനങ്ങള് കൊണ്ടും മട്ടു നീക്കി തെളിച്ചെടുത്ത വീഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടും ഉള്ള വിരുന്നു തന്നേ.

6. And in this mountain LORD of hosts will make to all peoples a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the dregs, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the dregs well refined.

7. സകലവംശങ്ങള്ക്കും ഉള്ള മൂടുപടവും സകലജാതികളുടെയും മേല് കിടക്കുന്ന മറവും അവന് ഈ പര്വ്വതത്തില്വെച്ചു നശിപ്പിച്ചുകളയും.

7. And he will destroy on this mountain the face of the covering that covers all peoples, and the veil that is spread over all nations.

8. അവന് മരണത്തെ സദാകാലത്തേക്കും നീക്കിക്കളയും; യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു സകലമുഖങ്ങളിലുംനിന്നു കണ്ണുനീര് തുടെക്കയും തന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ നിന്ദ സകലഭൂമിയിലുംനിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളകയും ചെയ്യും. യഹോവയല്ലോ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നതു.

8. He will swallowed up death in victory, and lord LORD will wipe away tears from off all faces. And he will take away the reproach of his people from off all the earth. For LORD has spoken it.

9. അന്നാളില്ഇതാ, നമ്മുടെ ദൈവം; അവനെയത്രേ നാം കാത്തിരുന്നതു; അവന് നമ്മെ രക്ഷിക്കും; അവന് തന്നേ യഹോവ; അവനെയത്രേ നാം കാത്തിരുന്നതു; അവന്റെ രക്ഷയില് നമുക്കു ആനന്ദിച്ചു സന്തോഷിക്കാം എന്നു അവര് പറയും.

9. And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God. We have waited for him, and he will save us. This is LORD. We have waited for him. We will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.

10. യഹോവയുടെ കൈ ഈ പര്വ്വതത്തില് ആവസിക്കുമല്ലോ; എന്നാല് വൈക്കോല് ചാണകകൂഴിയിലെ വെള്ളത്തില് ഇട്ടു ചവിട്ടുന്നതുപോലെ മോവാബ് സ്വസ്ഥാനത്തു തന്നേ മെതിക്കപ്പെടും.

10. For the hand of LORD will rest on this mountain. And Moab shall be trodden down in his place, even as straw is trodden down in the water of the dunghill.

11. നീന്തുന്നവന് നീന്തുവാന് കൈ നീട്ടുന്നതുപോലെ അവന് അതിന്റെ നടുവില് കൈ നീട്ടും; എങ്കിലും അവന്റെ ഗര്വ്വവും കൈമിടുക്കും അവന് താഴ്ത്തിക്കളയും.

11. And he shall spread forth his hands in the midst of it as he who swims spreads forth his hands to swim. But LORD will lay low his pride together with the craft of his hands.

12. നിന്റെ ഉറപ്പും ഉയരവും ഉള്ള മതിലുകളെ അവന് താഴെ നിലത്തു തള്ളിയിട്ടു പൊടിയാക്കിക്കളയും.

12. And the high fortress of thy walls he has brought down, laid low, and brought to the ground, even to the dust.
