1. യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എനിക്കുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാല്

1. And Jehovah said unto me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, my soul [would] not [turn] toward this people. Send [them] out of my sight, and let them go forth.

2. ഈ സ്ഥലത്തു നീ ഭാര്യയെ പരിഗ്രഹിക്കരുതു; നിനക്കു പുത്രന്മാരും പുത്രിമാരും ഉണ്ടാകയും അരുതു.

2. And it shall come to pass, if they say unto thee, Whither shall we go forth? then thou shalt tell them, Thus saith Jehovah: Such as are for death, to death; and such as are for the sword, to the sword; and such as are for the famine, to the famine; and such as are for captivity, to captivity.

3. ഈ സ്ഥലത്തു ജനിക്കുന്ന പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും കുറിച്ചും ഈ ദേശത്തു അവരെ പ്രസവിക്കുന്ന അമ്മമാരെക്കുറിച്ചും അവരെ ജനിപ്പിക്കുന്ന അപ്പന്മാരെക്കുറിച്ചും യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു

3. For I will visit them with four kinds [of punishments], saith Jehovah: the sword to slay, and dogs to tear, and the fowl of the heavens, and the beasts of the earth, to devour and to destroy.

4. അവര് കൊടിയ വ്യാധികളാല് മരിക്കും; ആരും അവരെക്കുറിച്ചു വിലാപം കഴിക്കയോ അവരെ കുഴിച്ചിടുകയോ ചെയ്യാതെ അവര് നിലത്തിന്നു വളമായി കിടക്കും; വാളാലും ക്ഷാമത്താലും അവര് മുടിഞ്ഞുപോകും; അവരുടെ ശവങ്ങള് ആകാശത്തിലെ പക്ഷികള്ക്കും കാട്ടിലെ മൃഗങ്ങള്ക്കും ഇരയായിത്തീരും.

4. And I will give them over to be driven hither and thither amongst all the kingdoms of the earth, because of Manasseh the son of Hezekiah, king of Judah, for that which he did in Jerusalem.

5. യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുനീ ദുഃഖഭവനത്തില് ചെല്ലരുതു; വിലപിപ്പാന് പോകരുതു; അവരോടു സഹതാപം കാണിക്കയും അരുതു; ഞാന് എന്റെ സമാധാനവും ദയയും കരുണയും ഈ ജനത്തില്നിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

5. For who shall have pity upon thee, Jerusalem? and who shall bemoan thee? and who shall turn aside to ask after thy welfare?

6. വലിയവരും ചെറിയവരും ഈ ദേശത്തു മരിക്കും; ആരും അവരെ കുഴിച്ചിടുകയില്ല, അവരെക്കുറിച്ചു വിലാപം കഴിക്കയില്ല, അവരുടെ നിമിത്തം മുറിവേല്പിക്കയില്ല, മുന് കഷണ്ടിയുണ്ടാക്കുകയുമില്ല.

6. Thou hast cast me off, saith Jehovah, thou art gone backward; and I have stretched out my hand against thee, and will destroy thee: I am become weary of repenting.

7. മരിച്ചവനെക്കുറിച്ചു അവരെ ആശ്വസിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ആരും വിലാപത്തിങ്കല് അവര്ക്കും അപ്പം നുറുക്കിക്കൊടുക്കയില്ല; അപ്പനെച്ചൊല്ലിയോ അമ്മയെച്ചൊല്ലിയോ ആരും അവര്ക്കും ആശ്വാസത്തിന്റെ പാനപാത്രം കുടിപ്പാന് കൊടുക്കയുമില്ല.

7. And I will fan them with a fan in the gates of the land; I will bereave of children [and] destroy my people: they have not returned from their ways.

8. അവരോടുകൂടെ ഇരുന്നു ഭക്ഷിപ്പാനും പാനം ചെയ്വാനും നീ വിരുന്നു വീട്ടിലേക്കു പോകരുതു.

8. Their widows are increased to me more than the sand of the seas; I have brought upon them, against the mother of the young men, a spoiler at noonday; I have caused anguish and terror to fall upon her suddenly.

9. യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുനിങ്ങള് കാണ്കെ ഞാന് നിങ്ങളുടെ നാളുകളില് ആനന്ദഘോഷവും സന്തോഷധ്വനിയും മണവാളന്റെ സ്വരവും മണവാട്ടിയുടെ സ്വരവും ഈ സ്ഥലത്തുനിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളയും.

9. She that hath borne seven languisheth, she hath given up the ghost; her sun is gone down while it is yet day; she is put to shame and confounded. And the residue of them will I give up to the sword before their enemies, saith Jehovah.

10. നീ ഈ വചനങ്ങളെ ഒക്കെയും ഈ ജനത്തോടു അറിയിക്കുമ്പോഴും യഹോവ ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു വിരോധമായി ഈ വലിയ അനര്ത്ഥം ഒക്കെയും കല്പിച്ചതു എന്തു? ഞങ്ങളുടെ അകൃത്യം എന്തു? ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയോടു ഞങ്ങള് ചെയ്ത പാപം എന്തു എന്നു അവര് നിന്നോടു ചോദിക്കുമ്പോഴും

10. Woe is me, my mother, that thou hast borne me a man of strife and a man of contention to the whole land! I have not lent on usury, nor have they lent to me on usury; [yet] every one of them doth curse me.

11. നീ അവരോടു പറയേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാല്നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാര് എന്നെ ത്യജിച്ചു അന്യദേവന്മാരോടു ചേര്ന്നു അവരെ സേവിച്ചു നമസ്കരിക്കയും എന്നെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു എന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണം അനുസരിച്ചു നടക്കാതെയിരിക്കയും ചെയ്കകൊണ്ടു തന്നേ എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

11. Jehovah said, Verily I will set thee free for [thy] good; verily I will cause the enemy to meet thee kindly in the time of evil and in the time of affliction.

12. നിങ്ങളോ നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെക്കാള് അധികം ദോഷം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു; നിങ്ങള് ഔരോരുത്തനും എന്റെ വാക്കു കേള്ക്കാതെ താന്താന്റെ ദുഷ്ടഹൃദയത്തിലെ ശാഠ്യം അനുസരിച്ചു നടക്കുന്നു.

12. Will iron break? iron from the north? and bronze?

13. അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ ഈ ദേശത്തുനിന്നു നിങ്ങളും നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരും അറിയാത്ത ഒരു ദേശത്തേക്കു നീക്കിക്കളയും; അവിടെ നിങ്ങള് രാവും പകലും അന്യദേവന്മാരെ സേവിക്കും; അവിടെ ഞാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു കൃപ കാണിക്കയുമില്ല.

13. Thy substance and thy treasures will I give to the spoil without price, and that for all thy sins, and in all thy borders;

14. ആകയാല്, യിസ്രാഘയേല്മക്കളെ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്ന യഹോവയാണ എന്നു ഇനി പറയാതെ,

14. and I will make [them] to pass with thine enemies into a land that thou knowest not: for a fire is kindled in mine anger; it shall burn upon you.

15. യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളെ വടക്കെദേശത്തുനിന്നും താന് അവരെ നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞിരുന്ന സകലദേശങ്ങളില്നിന്നും കൊണ്ടുവന്ന യഹോവയാണ എന്നു പറയുന്ന കാലം വരും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു; ഞാന് അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാര്ക്കും കൊടുത്ത ദേശത്തിലേക്കു ഞാന് അവരെ വീണ്ടും കൊണ്ടുവരും.

15. Jehovah, thou knowest: remember me, and visit me, and avenge me of my persecutors; in thy long-suffering take me not away: know that for thy sake I bear reproach.

16. ഇതാ, ഞാന് അനേകം മീന് പിടിക്കാരെ വരുത്തും; അവര് അവരെ പിടിക്കും; അതിന്റെ ശേഷം ഞാന് അനേകം നായാട്ടുകാരെ വരുത്തും; അവര് അവരെ എല്ലാമലയിലും നിന്നും എല്ലാ കുന്നിലും നിന്നും പാറപ്പിളര്പ്പുകളില്നിന്നും നായാടിപ്പിടിക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

16. Thy words were found, and I did eat them, and thy words were unto me the joy and rejoicing of my heart; for I am called by thy name, O Jehovah, God of hosts.

17. എന്റെ ദൃഷ്ടി അവരുടെ എല്ലാവഴികളുടെയും മേല് വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവ എനിക്കു മറഞ്ഞു കിടക്കുന്നില്ല; അവരുടെ അകൃത്യം എന്റെ കണ്ണിന്നു ഗുപ്തമായിരിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.

17. I sat not in the assembly of the mockers, nor exulted: I sat alone because of thy hand; for thou hast filled me with indignation.

18. അവര് എന്റെ ദേശത്തെ തങ്ങളുടെ മ്ളേച്ഛവിഗ്രഹങ്ങളാല് മലിനമാക്കി എന്റെ അവകാശത്തെ തങ്ങളുടെ അറെപ്പുകളെക്കൊണ്ടു നിറെച്ചിരിക്കയാല്, ഞാന് ഒന്നാമതു അവരുടെ അകൃത്യത്തിന്നും അവരുടെ പാപത്തിന്നും ഇരിട്ടിച്ചു പകരം ചെയ്യും.

18. Why is my pain perpetual, and my wound incurable? It refuseth to be healed. Wilt thou be altogether unto me as a treacherous [spring], [as] waters that fail?

19. എന്റെ ബലവും എന്റെ കോട്ടയും കഷ്ടകാലത്തു എന്റെ ശരണവുമായ യഹോവേ, ജാതികള് ഭൂമിയുടെ അറ്റങ്ങളില്നിന്നു നിന്റെ അടുക്കല് വന്നുഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാര്ക്കും അവകാശമായിരുന്നതുട മിത്ഥ്യാമൂര്ത്തികളായ വെറും ഭോഷകു അത്രേ; അവയില് പ്രയോജനമുള്ളതു ഒന്നുമില്ല എന്നു പറയും.

19. Therefore thus saith Jehovah: If thou return, then will I bring thee again, thou shalt stand before me; and if thou take forth the precious from the vile, thou shalt be as my mouth. Let them return unto thee; but return not thou unto them.

20. തനിക്കു ദേവന്മാരെ ഉണ്ടാക്കുവാന് മനുഷ്യന്നു കഴിയുമോ? എന്നാല് അവ ദേവന്മാരല്ല.

20. And I will make thee unto this people a strong brazen wall; and they shall fight against thee, but they shall not prevail against thee: for I am with thee, to save thee and to deliver thee, saith Jehovah;

21. ആകയാല് ഞാന് ഈ പ്രാവശ്യം അവരെ ഒന്നു പഠിപ്പിക്കും; എന്റെ കയ്യും എന്റെ ബലവും ഞാന് അവരെ ഒന്നു അനുഭവിപ്പിക്കും; എന്റെ നാമം യഹോവ എന്നു അവര് അറിയും.

21. yea, I will deliver thee out of the hand of the wicked, and I will redeem thee out of the hand of the terrible.
