1. മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു മിഗ്ദോലിലും തഹ'നേസിലും നോഫിലും പത്രോസ് ദേശത്തും പാര്ക്കുംന്ന സകല യെഹൂദന്മാരെയും കുറിച്ചു യിരെമ്യാവിന്നുണ്ടായ അരുളപ്പാടു എന്തെന്നാല്

1. Nowe when Ieremiah had made an ende of speaking vnto ye whole people all the wordes of the Lord their God, for the which the Lord their God had sent him to them, euen all these wordes,

2. യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഞാന് യെരൂശലേമിന്മേലും സകലയെഹൂദാപട്ടണങ്ങളിന്മേലും വരുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്ന അനര്ത്ഥം ഒക്കെയും നിങ്ങള് കണ്ടിട്ടുണ്ടല്ലോ; അവ ശൂന്യമായിരിക്കുന്നു; ആരും അവയില് വസിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.

2. Then spake Azariah the sonne of Hoshaiah, and Iohanan the sonne of Kareah, and all the proude men, saying vnto Ieremiah, Thou speakest falsely: the Lord our God hath not sent thee to say, Goe not into Egypt to dwell there,

3. അതു, അവരോ നിങ്ങളോ നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോ അറിയാത്ത അന്യദേവന്മാര്ക്കും ധപൂംകാട്ടുവാനും അവയെ സേവിപ്പാനും ചെന്നു എന്നെ കോപിപ്പിപ്പാന് തക്കവണ്ണം അവര് ചെയ്ത ദോഷംനിമിത്തമത്രേ.

3. But Baruch ye sonne of Neriah prouoketh thee against vs, for to deliuer vs into the hand of the Caldeans, that they might slay vs, and cary vs away captiues into Babel.

4. ഞാന് ഇടവിടാതെ പ്രവാചകന്മാരായ എന്റെ ദാസന്മാരെ ഒക്കെയും നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കല് അയച്ചുഞാന് വെറുക്കുന്ന ഈ മ്ളേച്ഛകാര്യം നിങ്ങള് ചെയ്യരുതെന്നു പറയിച്ചു.

4. So Iohanan the sonne of Kareah, and all the captaines of the hoste, and all the people obeied not the voyce of the Lord, to dwell in the lande of Iudah.

5. എന്നാല് അവര് അന്യദേവന്മാര്ക്കും ധൂപംകാട്ടാതവണ്ണം തങ്ങളുടെ ദോഷം വിട്ടുതിരിയേണ്ടതിന്നു ശ്രദ്ധിക്കാതെയും ചെവി ചായിക്കാതെയും ഇരുന്നു.

5. But Iohanan the sonne of Kareah, and all the captaines of the hoste tooke all the remnant of Iudah, that were returned from al nations, whither they had bene driuen, to dwel in ye land of Iudah:

6. അതുകൊണ്ടു എന്റെ ക്രോധവും കോപവും ചൊരിഞ്ഞു യെഹൂദാപട്ടണങ്ങളിലും യെരൂശലേംവീഥികളിലും ജ്വലിച്ചു; അവ ഇന്നു ശൂന്യവും നാശവും ആയി കിടക്കുന്നു.

6. Euen men and women, and children, and the Kinges daughters, and euery person, that Nebuzar-adan the chiefe steward had left with Gedaliah the sonne of Ahikam, ye sonne of Shaphan, and Ieremiah the Prophet, and Baruch the sonne of Neriah.

7. ആകയാല് യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായി സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുനിങ്ങള്ക്കു ശേഷിപ്പായി ആരും ഇല്ലാതാകുംവണ്ണം യെഹൂദയുടെ മദ്ധ്യേനിന്നു പുരുഷനെയും സ്ത്രീയെയും പൈതലിനെയും മുലകുടിക്കുന്ന കുഞ്ഞിനെയും ഛേദിച്ചുകളയേണ്ടതിന്നും

7. So they came into the lande of Egypt: for they obeied not the voice of the Lord: thus came they to Tahpanhes.

8. നിങ്ങള് വന്നു പാര്ക്കുംന്ന മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുവെച്ചു അന്യദേവന്മാര്ക്കും ധൂപം കാണിച്ചു നിങ്ങളുടെ കൈകളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികള്കൊണ്ടു എന്നെ കോപിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനാല് നിങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ ഛേദിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞിട്ടു സകല ഭൂജാതികളുടെയും ഇടയില് നിങ്ങള് ശാപവും നിന്ദയും ആയ്തീരേണ്ടതിന്നും നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രാണഹാനിക്കായി ഈ മഹാദോഷം ചെയ്യുന്നതെന്തു?

8. Then came the worde of the Lord vnto Ieremiah in Tahpanhes, saying,

9. യെഹൂദാദേശത്തും യെരൂശലേമിന്റെ വീഥികളിലും നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാര് ചെയ്ത ദോഷങ്ങളും യെഹൂദാരാജാക്കന്മാര് ചെയ്ത ദോഷങ്ങളും അവരുടെ ഭാര്യമാര് ചെയ്ത ദോഷങ്ങളും നിങ്ങള് ചെയ്ത ദോഷങ്ങളും നിങ്ങളുടെ ഭാര്യമാര് ചെയ്ത ദോഷങ്ങളും നിങ്ങള് മറന്നുപോയോ?

9. Take great stones in thine hand, and hide them in the claie in the bricke kill, which is at the entrie of Pharaohs house in Tanpanhes in ye sight of the men of Iudah,

10. അവര് ഇന്നുവരെയും തങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ താഴ്ത്തിയില്ല; അവര് ഭയപ്പെടുകയോ ഞാന് നിങ്ങളുടെ മുമ്പിലും നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ മുമ്പിലും വെച്ച ന്യായപ്രമാണവും ചട്ടങ്ങളും അനുസരിച്ചു നടക്കയോ ചെയ്തതുമില്ല.

10. And say vnto them, Thus sayeth the Lord of hostes the God of Israel, Beholde, I will sende and bring Nebuchad-nezzar the King of Babel my seruant, and will set his throne vpon these stones that I haue hid, and he shall spread his pauilion ouer them.

11. അതുകൊണ്ടു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഞാന് അനര്ത്ഥത്തിന്നായിട്ടു, യെഹൂദയെ മുഴുവനും ഛേദിച്ചുകളവാനായിട്ടുതന്നേ, എന്റെ മുഖം നിങ്ങള്ക്കു എതിരായി വെക്കുന്നു.

11. And when he shall come, he shall smite the land of Egypt: such as are appoynted for death, to death, and such as are for captiuitie, to captiuitie, and such as are for the sword to the sword.

12. മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു ചെന്നു പാര്പ്പാന് അവിടെ പോകേണ്ടതിന്നു മുഖം തിരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന യെഹൂദാശിഷ്ടത്തെ ഞാന് പിടിക്കും; അവരെല്ലാവരും മുടിഞ്ഞുപോകും; മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു അവര് വീഴും; വാള്കൊണ്ടും ക്ഷാമംകൊണ്ടും അവര് മുടിഞ്ഞുപോകും; അവര് ആബാലവൃദ്ധം വാള്കൊണ്ടും ക്ഷാമംകൊണ്ടും മരിക്കും; അവര് പ്രാക്കിന്നും സ്തംഭനത്തിന്നും ശാപത്തിന്നും നിന്ദെക്കും വിഷയമായ്തീരും.

12. And I wil kindle a fire in the houses of the gods of Egypt, and he shall burne them and carie them away captiues, and he shall aray himself with the land of Egypt, as a shepheard putteth on his garment, and shall depart from thence in peace.

13. ഞാന് യെരൂശലേമിനെ സന്ദര്ശിച്ചതുപോലെ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു പാര്ക്കുംന്നവരെയും വാള്കൊണ്ടും ക്ഷാമംകൊണ്ടും മഹാമാരികൊണ്ടും സന്ദര്ശിക്കും.

13. He shall breake also ye images of Beth-shemesh, that is in the lande of Egypt, and the houses of the gods of the Egyptians shall he burne with fire.
