1. യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എനിക്കുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാല്

1. And the Word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

2. മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, നിന്റെ മുഖം യെരൂശലേമിന്നു നേരെ തിരിച്ചു വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തിന്നു വിരോധമായി പ്രസംഗിച്ചു യിസ്രായേല്ദേശത്തിന്നു വിരോധമായി പ്രവചിച്ചു യിസ്രായേല്ദേശത്തോടു പറയേണ്ടതു

2. Son of man, set your face toward Jerusalem, drop a word toward the holy places, and prophesy against the land of Israel;

3. യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഞാന് നിന്റെ നേരെ പുറപ്പെട്ടു എന്റെ വാള് ഉറയില്നിന്നു ഊരി നീതിമാനെയും ദുഷ്ടനെയും നിന്നില്നിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചുകളയും.

3. and say to the land of Israel, Thus says Jehovah: Behold, I am against you, and I will draw My sword out of its sheath and cut off from you both the righteous and the wicked.

4. ഞാന് നീതിമാനെയും ദുഷ്ടനെയും നിന്നില്നിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചുകളവാന് പോകുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു, തെക്കുമുതല് വടക്കുവരെ സകലജഡത്തിന്നും വിരോധമായി എന്റെ വാള് ഉറയില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെടും.

4. Because I will cut off both the righteous and the wicked from you, therefore My sword shall go out of its sheath against all flesh from the south to the north,

5. യഹോവയായ ഞാന് എന്റെ വാള് ഉറയില്നിന്നു ഊരിയെന്നു സകലജഡവും അറിയും.

5. that all flesh may know that I, Jehovah, have drawn My sword out of its sheath; it shall not return anymore.

6. അതു ഇനി മടങ്ങിപ്പോരികയില്ല. നീയോ, മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, നിന്റെ നടു ഒടികെ നെടുവീര്പ്പിടുക; അവര് കാണ്കെ കഠിനമായി നെടുവീര്പ്പിടുക.

6. Sigh therefore, son of man, with a breaking heart, and groan with bitterness before their eyes.

7. എന്തിന്നു നെടുവീര്പ്പിടുന്നു എന്നു അവര് നിന്നോടു ചോദിച്ചാല് നീ ഉത്തരം പറയേണ്ടതുഒരു വര്ത്തമാനംനിമിത്തം തന്നേ; അതു സംഭവിക്കുമ്പോള് സകലഹൃദയവും ഉരുകിപ്പോകും, എല്ലാകൈകളും കുഴഞ്ഞുപോകും, ഏതു മനസ്സും കലങ്ങിപ്പോകും; എല്ലാ മുഴങ്കാലും വെള്ളംപോലെ ഒഴുകിപ്പോകും; അതു വന്നു കഴിഞ്ഞു എന്നു യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

7. And it shall be when they say to you, Why are you sighing? that you shall answer, Because of the news; when it comes, every heart will melt, all hands will be feeble, every spirit will faint, and all knees will be weak as water. Behold, it is coming and shall be brought to pass, declares the Lord Jehovah.

8. യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എനിക്കുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാല്

8. Again the Word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

9. മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, നീ പ്രവചിച്ചു പറയേണ്ടതുയഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഒരു വാള്; ഒരു വാള്; അതു മൂര്ച്ചകൂട്ടി മിനുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറക.

9. Son of man, prophesy and say, Thus says Jehovah! Say: A sword, a sword is sharpened and also polished!

10. കുല നടത്തുവാന് അതിന്നു മൂര്ച്ചകൂട്ടിയിരിക്കുന്നു; മിന്നുവാന് തക്കവണ്ണം അതിനെ മിനുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; അല്ലെങ്കില് നമുക്കു സന്തോഷിക്കാമോ? അതു എന്റെ മകന്റെ ചെങ്കോലിനെയും സകലവൃക്ഷത്തെയും നിരസിക്കുന്നു.

10. It is sharpened to slaughter and butcher, polished to flash like lightning! Should we then make mirth? It despises the scepter of My son, as every tree.

11. ഉപയോഗിപ്പാന് തക്കവണ്ണം അവന് അതു മിനുക്കുവാന് കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; കൊല്ലുന്നവന്റെ കയ്യില് കൊടുപ്പാന് ഈ വാള് മൂര്ച്ചകൂട്ടി മിനുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

11. And He has given it to be polished, that it may be handled; this sword is sharpened, and it is polished to be given into the hand of the slayer.

12. മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, നിലവിളിച്ചു മുറയിടുക! അതു എന്റെ ജനത്തിന്മേലും യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സകലപ്രഭുക്കന്മാരുടെ മേലും വരും അവര് എന്റെ ജനത്തോടുകൂടെ വാളിന്നു ഏല്പിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരാകുന്നു; ആകയാല് നീ തുടയില് അടിക്ക.

12. Cry and howl, son of man; for it will be against My people, against all the rulers of Israel. The sword will be thrown against My people; therefore slap your thigh,

13. അതൊരു പരീക്ഷയല്ലോ; എന്നാല് നിരസിക്കുന്ന ചെങ്കോല് തന്നേ ഇല്ലാതെപോയാല് എന്തു എന്നു യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

13. because it is a testing. And what if the sword despises even the scepter? It shall be no more, declares the Lord Jehovah.

14. നീയോ മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, പ്രവചിച്ചു കൈകൊട്ടുക; വാള്, നിഹതന്മാരുടെ വാള് തന്നേ, മുമ്മടങ്ങായി ഭവിക്കട്ടെ; നിഹതന്റെ വലിയ വാള് അവരെ ചുറ്റുന്നു.

14. You therefore, son of man, prophesy, and strike hand to hand; strike. The third time let the sword be doubled. It is the sword that slays, the sword that slays the great men, that surrounds them.

15. അവരുടെ ഹൃദയം ഉരുകിപ്പോകേണ്ടതിന്നും അവരില് പട്ടുപോയവര് പെരുകേണ്ടതിന്നും ഞാന് വാളിന് മുനയെ അവരുടെ എല്ലാ വാതിലുകള്ക്കും നേരെ വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അയ്യോ, അതു മിന്നല്പോലെയിരിക്കുന്നു; അതു കുലെക്കായി കൂര്പ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

15. I have set the slaughter of the sword against all their gates, That the heart may melt and many may stumble. Ah! It is made bright; it is grasped for the slaughter:

16. പുറകോട്ടോ ഇടത്തോട്ടോ വലത്തോട്ടോ നിന്റെ വായ്ത്തല തിരിയുന്നെടത്തേക്കു തന്നേ പുറപ്പെടുക.

16. Be sharp to the right! Set yourself to the left; wherever your face is appointed!

17. ഞാനും കൈ കൊട്ടി, എന്റെ ക്രോധത്തെ ശമിപ്പിക്കും; യഹോവയായ ഞാന് അതു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

17. I also will strike My hand to hand, and I will cause My fury to rest; I, Jehovah, have spoken.

18. യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എനിക്കുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാല്

18. The Word of Jehovah came unto me again, saying:

19. മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, ബാബേല് രാജാവിന്റെ വാള് വരേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ രണ്ടു വഴി നിയമിക്ക; രണ്ടും ഒരു ദേശത്തുനിന്നു തന്നേ പുറപ്പെടേണം; ഒരു കൈചൂണ്ടി ഉണ്ടാക്കി നഗരത്തിലേക്കുള്ള വഴിയുടെ തലെക്കല് നാട്ടുക.

19. And you, son of man, appoint for yourself two ways for the sword of the king of Babylon to come; both of them shall come forth from the same land. Make a sign; put it at the head of the road to the city.

20. അങ്ങനെ വാള് അമ്മോന്യരുടെ രബ്ബയിലും യെഹൂദയില് ഉറപ്പുള്ള യെരൂശലേമിലും വരേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ വഴി നിയമിക്ക.

20. Appoint a road for the sword to go into Rabbah of the Ammonites, and to Judah, into fortified Jerusalem.

21. ബാബേല്രാജാവു ഇരുവഴിത്തലെക്കല്, വഴിത്തിരിവിങ്കല് തന്നേ, പ്രശ്നം നോക്കുവാന് നിലക്കുന്നു; അവന് തന്റെ അമ്പുകളെ കുലുക്കി കുലദേവന്മാരോടു ചോദിക്കയും കരള് നോക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

21. For the king of Babylon stands at the parting of the road, at the head of the two roads, to use divination: he shakes the arrows, he consults the images, he looks at the liver.

22. യന്ത്രമുട്ടികളെ വെക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും വന് കുലെക്കായി വായ്പിളര്ന്നു ആര്പ്പുവിളിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും വാതിലുകളുടെ നേരെ യന്ത്രമുട്ടികളെ വെക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും വാട കോരി കൊത്തളം പണിയേണ്ടതിന്നും യെരൂശലേമിനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള പ്രശ്നം അവന്റെ വലങ്കയ്യില് വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

22. In his right hand is the divination for Jerusalem: to set up battering rams, to call for a slaughter, to lift the voice with shouting, to set battering rams against the gates, to heap up a mound, and to build a siege wall.

23. എന്നാല് അതു അവര്ക്കും വ്യാജലക്ഷണമായി തോന്നുന്നു; അവര് ആണ ഇടുവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ; എന്നാല് അവര് പിടിക്കപ്പെടേണ്ടതിന്നു അവര് അകൃത്യം ഔര്പ്പിക്കുന്നു.

23. And it will be to them like a false divination in the eyes of those who have sworn oaths with them; but he will bring their iniquity to remembrance, that they may be taken.

24. അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുനിങ്ങളുടെ സകലപ്രവൃത്തികളിലും നിങ്ങളുടെ പാപങ്ങള് പ്രത്യക്ഷമാകത്തക്കവണ്ണം നിങ്ങളുടെ അതിക്രമങ്ങള് വെളിപ്പെട്ടുവരുന്നതിനാല് നിങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളുടെ അകൃത്യം ഔര്പ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടും നിങ്ങളെയും ഔര്ത്തിരിക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടും നിങ്ങളെ കയ്യാല് പിടിക്കും.

24. Therefore thus says the Lord Jehovah: Because you have made your iniquity to be remembered, in that your transgressions are uncovered, so that in all your doings your sins appear; because you have come to remembrance, you shall be taken with the hand.

25. നിഹതനും ദുഷ്ടനുമായി യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പ്രഭുവായുള്ളോവേ, അന്ത്യാകൃത്യത്തിന്റെ കാലത്തു നിന്റെ നാള് വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

25. Now to you, O slain, wicked prince of Israel, whose day has come, whose iniquity shall end,

26. യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഞാന് മകുടം നീക്കി കിരീടം എടുത്തുകളയും; അതു അങ്ങനെ ഇരിക്കയില്ല; ഞാന് താണതിനെ ഉയര്ത്തുകയും ഉയര്ന്നതിനെ താഴ്ത്തുകയും ചെയ്യും.

26. thus says the Lord Jehovah: Remove the turban, and take off the crown; nothing shall remain as it was. Exalt the humble, and humble the exalted.

27. ഞാന് അതിന്നു ഉന്മൂലനാശം, ഉന്മൂലനാശം, ഉന്മൂലനാശം വരുത്തും; അതിന്നു അവകാശമുള്ളവന് വരുവോളം അതു ഇല്ലാതെയിരിക്കും; അവന്നു ഞാന് അതു കൊടുക്കും.

27. Ruin, ruin! I will ruin it! It shall be no more, until He comes whose right it is. And I will give it to Him.

28. മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, നീ പ്രവചിച്ചു പറയേണ്ടതുഅമ്മോന്യരെക്കുറിച്ചും അവരുടെ നിന്ദയെക്കുറിച്ചും യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു

28. And you, son of man, prophesy and say, Thus says the Lord Jehovah concerning the Ammonites and concerning their reproach; and say, A sword, a sword is drawn, polished for slaughter, for consuming, for flashing;

29. അന്ത്യാകൃത്യത്തിന്റെ കാലത്തു, നാള് വന്നവരായി ദുഷ്ടന്മാരായ നിഹതന്മാരുടെ കഴുത്തില് വെക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവര് നിനക്കു വ്യാജം ദര്ശിക്കുന്ന നേരത്തും നിനക്കു ഭോഷകുലക്ഷണം പറയുന്ന നേരത്തും ഒരു വാള്, ഒരു വാള് ഊരിയിരിക്കുന്നു; അതു മിന്നല്പോലെ മിന്നേണ്ടതിന്നും തിന്നുകളയേണ്ടതിന്നും കുലെക്കായി മിനുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറക.

29. while they see false visions for you, while they divine a lie to you, to bring you upon the necks of the slain, the wicked whose day has come, whose iniquity shall end.

30. അതിനെ ഉറയില് ഇടുക; നീ സൃഷ്ടിക്കപ്പെട്ട സ്ഥലത്തു, നിന്റെ ജന്മദേശത്തു തന്നേ ഞാന് നിന്നെ ന്യായം വിധിക്കും,

30. Return it to its sheath. I will judge you in the place where you were created, in the land of your birth.

31. ഞാന് എന്റെ ക്രോധം നിന്റെമേല് പകര്ന്നു എന്റെ കോപാഗ്നി നിന്റെമേല് ഊതി, മൃഗപ്രായരും നശിപ്പിപ്പാന് മിടുക്കന്മാരുമായ മനുഷ്യരുടെ കയ്യില് നിന്നെ ഏല്പിക്കും.

31. And I will pour out My indignation upon you; I will blow against you with the fire of My wrath, and deliver you into the hands of brutal men who are skilled in destruction.

32. നീ തീക്കിരയായ്തീരും; നിന്റെ രക്തം നിന്റെ ദേശത്തിന്റെ നടുവില് ഇരിക്കും; നിന്നെ ഇനി ആരും ഔര്ക്കയില്ല; യഹോവയായ ഞാന് അതു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

32. You shall be fuel for the fire; your blood shall be in the midst of the land. You shall not be remembered, for I, Jehovah, have spoken.
