1. യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എനിക്കുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാല്

1. The word of the LORD came to me:

2. മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, നീ യിസ്രായേല്പര്വ്വതങ്ങളുടെ നേരെ മുഖം തിരിച്ചു അവര്ക്കും വിരോധമായി പ്രവചിച്ചു പറയേണ്ടതു

2. 'Son of man, set your face toward the mountains of Israel, and prophesy against them,

3. യിസ്രായേല്പര്വ്വതങ്ങളേ, യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവിന്റെ വചനം കേള്പ്പിന് ! മലകളോടും കുന്നുകളോടും നീരൊഴുക്കുകളോടും താഴ്വരയോടും യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഞാന് നിങ്ങളുടെ നേരെ വാള് വരുത്തുംഞാന് നിങ്ങളുടെ പൂജാഗിരികളെ നശിപ്പിക്കും.

3. and say, You mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord GOD! Thus says the Lord GOD to the mountains and the hills, to the ravines and the valleys: Behold, I, even I, will bring a sword upon you, and I will destroy your high places.

4. നിങ്ങളുടെ ബലിപീഠങ്ങള് ശൂന്യമാകും; നിങ്ങളുടെ സൂര്യസ്തംഭങ്ങള് തകര്ന്നുപോകും; നിങ്ങളുടെ നിഹതന്മാരെ ഞാന് നിങ്ങളുടെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളുടെ മുമ്പില് വീഴിക്കും.

4. Your altars shall become desolate, and your incense altars shall be broken; and I will cast down your slain before your idols.

5. ഞാന് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ ശവങ്ങളെ അവരുടെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളുടെ മുമ്പില് ഇടും; ഞാന് നിങ്ങളുടെ അസ്ഥികളെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ബലിപീഠങ്ങള്ക്കു ചുറ്റും ചിതറിക്കും.

5. And I will lay the dead bodies of the people of Israel before their idols; and I will scatter your bones round about your altars.

6. നിങ്ങളുടെ ബലിപീഠങ്ങള് ഇടിഞ്ഞു ശൂന്യമാകയും നിങ്ങളുടെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങള് തകര്ന്നു മുടിഞ്ഞുപോകയും നിങ്ങളുടെ സൂര്യസ്തംഭങ്ങളെ വെട്ടിക്കളയുകയും നിങ്ങളുടെ പണികള് നശിച്ചുപോകയും ചെയ്വാന് തക്കവണ്ണം നിങ്ങള് പാര്ക്കുംന്നേടത്തൊക്കെയും പട്ടണങ്ങള് പാഴായും പൂജാഗിരികള് ശൂന്യമായും തീരും.

6. Wherever you dwell your cities shall be waste and your high places ruined, so that your altars will be waste and ruined, your idols broken and destroyed, your incense altars cut down, and your works wiped out.

7. നിഹതന്മാര് നിങ്ങളുടെ നടുവില് വീഴും; ഞാന് യഹോവ എന്നു നിങ്ങള് അറിയും.

7. And the slain shall fall in the midst of you, and you shall know that I am the LORD.

8. എങ്കിലും നിങ്ങള് ദേശങ്ങളില് ചിതറിപ്പോകുമ്പോള് വാളിന്നു തെറ്റിപ്പോയവര് ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയില് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ഉണ്ടാകേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന് ഒരു ശേഷിപ്പിനെ വെച്ചേക്കും.

8. 'Yet I will leave some of you alive. When you have among the nations some who escape the sword, and when you are scattered through the countries,

9. എന്നെ വിട്ടകന്നു പരസംഗം ചെയ്യുന്ന അവരുടെ ഹൃദയത്തെയും വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളോടു ചേര്ന്നു പരസംഗം ചെയ്യുന്ന അവരുടെ കണ്ണുകളെയും ഞാന് തകര്ത്തുകളഞ്ഞശേഷം, നിങ്ങളില് ചാടിപ്പോയവര്, അവരെ പിടിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോയ ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയില്വെച്ചു എന്നെ ഔര്ക്കും; അവരുടെ സകലമ്ളേച്ഛതകളാലും ചെയ്ത ദോഷങ്ങള് നിമിത്തം അവര്ക്കും തങ്ങളോടു തന്നേ വെറുപ്പുതോന്നും.

9. then those of you who escape will remember me among the nations where they are carried captive, when I have broken their wanton heart which has departed from me, and blinded their eyes which turn wantonly after their idols; and they will be loathsome in their own sight for the evils which they have committed, for all their abominations.

10. ഞാന് യഹോവ എന്നു അവര് അറിയും; ഈ അനര്ത്ഥം അവര്ക്കും വരുത്തുമെന്നു വെറുതെയല്ല ഞാന് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നതു.

10. And they shall know that I am the LORD; I have not said in vain that I would do this evil to them.'

11. യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുയിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ ദോഷകരമായ സകലമ്ളേച്ഛതകളുംനിമിത്തം നീ കൈകൊണ്ടടിച്ചു, കാല്കൊണ്ടു ചവിട്ടി, അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം! എന്നു പറക; അവര് വാള്കൊണ്ടും ക്ഷാമം കൊണ്ടും മഹാമാരികൊണ്ടും വീഴും.

11. Thus says the Lord GOD: 'Clap your hands, and stamp your foot, and say, Alas! because of all the evil abominations of the house of Israel; for they shall fall by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence.

12. ദൂരത്തുള്ളവന് മഹാമാരികൊണ്ടു മരിക്കും; സമീപത്തുള്ളവന് വാള്കൊണ്ടു വീഴും; ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നവനും രക്ഷപ്പെട്ടവനും ക്ഷാമംകൊണ്ടു മരിക്കും; ഇങ്ങനെ ഞാന് എന്റെ ക്രോധം അവരില് നിവര്ത്തിക്കും.

12. He that is far off shall die of pestilence; and he that is near shall fall by the sword; and he that is left and is preserved shall die of famine. Thus I will spend my fury upon them.

13. അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ സകലവിഗ്രഹങ്ങള്ക്കും സൌരഭ്യവാസന അര്പ്പിച്ച സ്ഥലമായി ഉയരമുള്ള എല്ലാ കുന്നിന്മേലും സകല പര്വ്വത ശിഖരങ്ങളിലും എല്ലാപച്ചമരത്തിന് കീഴിലും തഴെച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന എല്ലാ കരുവേലകത്തിന് കീഴിലും അവരുടെ നിഹതന്മാര് അവരുടെ ബലിപീഠങ്ങളുടെ ചുറ്റും അവരുടെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് വീണു കിടക്കുമ്പോള് ഞാന് യഹോവ എന്നു നിങ്ങള് അറിയും.

13. And you shall know that I am the LORD, when their slain lie among their idols round about their altars, upon every high hill, on all the mountain tops, under every green tree, and under every leafy oak, wherever they offered pleasing odor to all their idols.

14. ഞാന് അവരുടെ നേരെ കൈ നീട്ടി, അവരുടെ സകലവാസസ്ഥലങ്ങളിലും ദേശത്തെ രിബ്ളാമരുഭൂമിയെക്കാള് അധികം നിര്ജ്ജനവും ശൂന്യവുമാക്കും; അപ്പോള് ഞാന് യഹോവയെന്നു അവര് അറിയും.

14. And I will stretch out my hand against them, and make the land desolate and waste, throughout all their habitations, from the wilderness to Riblah. Then they will know that I am the LORD.'
