1. ഉസ്സീയാവു, യോഥാം ആഹാസ്, ഹിസ്കീയാവു എന്നീ യെഹൂദാരാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ കാലത്തും യിസ്രായേല്രാജാവായി യോവാശിന്റെ മകനായ യൊരോബെയാമിന്റെ കാലത്തും ബെയേരിയുടെ മകനായ ഹോശേയെക്കു ഉണ്ടായ യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

1. This is God's Message to Hosea son of Beeri. It came to him during the royal reigns of Judah's kings Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah. This was also the time that Jeroboam son of Joash was king over Israel.

2. യഹോവ ഹോശേയമുഖാന്തരം സംസാരിച്ചു തുടങ്ങിയപ്പോള്, യഹോവ ഹോശേയയോടുനീ ചെന്നുപരസംഗം ചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു ഭാര്യയെയും പരസംഗത്തില് ജനിച്ച മക്കളെയും എടുക്ക; ദേശം യഹോവയെ വിട്ടുമാറി കഠിന പരസംഗം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

2. The first time GOD spoke to Hosea he said: 'Find a whore and marry her. Make this whore the mother of your children. And here's why: This whole country has become a whorehouse, unfaithful to me, GOD.'

3. അങ്ങനെ അവന് ചെന്നു ദിബ്ളയീമിന്റെ മകളായ ഗോമരിനെ പരിഗ്രഹിച്ചു; അവള് ഗര്ഭം ധരിച്ചു അവന്നു ഒരു മകനെ പ്രസവിച്ചു.

3. Hosea did it. He picked Gomer daughter of Diblaim. She got pregnant and gave him a son.

4. യഹോവ അവനോടുഅവന്നു യിസ്രെയേല് (ദൈവം വിതെക്കും) എന്നു പേര്വിളിക്ക; ഇനി കുറെക്കാലം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു ഞാന് യിസ്രെയേലിന്റെ രക്തപാതകങ്ങളെ യേഹൂഗൃഹത്തോടു സന്ദര്ശിച്ചു യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ രാജത്വം ഇല്ലാതെയാക്കും;

4. Then GOD told him: 'Name him Jezreel. It won't be long now before I'll make the people of Israel pay for the massacre at Jezreel. I'm calling it quits on the kingdom of Israel.

5. അന്നാളില് ഞാന് യിസ്രെയേല് താഴ്വരയില്വെച്ചു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ വില്ലു ഒടിച്ചുകളയും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

5. Payday is coming! I'm going to chop Israel's bows and arrows into kindling in the valley of Jezreel.'

6. അവള് പിന്നെയും ഗര്ഭംധരിച്ചു ഒരു മകളെ പ്രസവിച്ചു. യഹോവ അവനോടുഅവള്ക്കു ലോരൂഹമാ (കരുണ ലഭിക്കാത്തവള്) എന്നു പേര് വിളിക്ക; ഞാന് ഇനി യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹത്തോടു ക്ഷമിപ്പാന് തക്കവണ്ണം അവരോടു ഒട്ടും കരുണ കാണിക്കയില്ല.

6. Gomer got pregnant again. This time she had a daughter. GOD told Hosea: 'Name this one No-Mercy. I'm fed up with Israel. I've run out of mercy. There's no more forgiveness.

7. എന്നാല് യെഹൂദാഗൃഹത്തോടു ഞാന് കരുണ കാണിച്ചു, അവരെ വില്ലുകൊണ്ടോ വാള്കൊണ്ടോ യുദ്ധംകൊണ്ടോ കുതിരകളെക്കൊണ്ടോ കുതിരച്ചേവകരെക്കൊണ്ടോ രക്ഷിക്കാതെ അവരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെക്കൊണ്ടു അവരെ രക്ഷിക്കും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

7. Judah's another story. I'll continue having mercy on them. I'll save them. It will be their GOD who saves them, Not their armaments and armies, not their horsepower and manpower.'

8. അവള് ലോരൂഹമയെ മുലകുടി മാറ്റിയശേഷം ഗര്ഭം ധരിച്ചു ഒരു മകനെ പ്രസവിച്ചു.

8. After Gomer had weaned No-Mercy, she got pregnant yet again and had a son.

9. അപ്പോള് യഹോവഅവന്നു ലോ-അമ്മീ (എന്റെ ജനമല്ല) എന്നു പേര് വിളിക്ക; നിങ്ങള് എന്റെ ജനമല്ല, ഞാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ദൈവമായിരിക്കയുമില്ല എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

9. GOD said: 'Name him Nobody. You've become nobodies to me, and I, GOD, am a nobody to you.

10. എങ്കിലും യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ സംഖ്യ അളക്കുവാനും എണ്ണുവാനും കഴിയാത്ത കടല്ക്കരയിലെ പൂഴിപോലെ ഇരിക്കും; നിങ്ങള് എന്റെ ജനമല്ല എന്നു അവരോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതിന്നു പകരം നിങ്ങള് ജീവനുള്ള ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മക്കള് എന്നു അവരോടു പറയും.

10. 'But down the road the population of Israel is going to explode past counting, like sand on the ocean beaches. In the very place where they were once named Nobody, they will be named God's Somebody.

11. യെഹൂദാമക്കളും യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളും ഒന്നിച്ചുകൂടി തങ്ങള്ക്കു ഒരേ തലവനെ നിയമിച്ചു ദേശത്തുനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടുപോകും; യിസ്രെയേലിന്റെ നാള് വലുതായിരിക്കുമല്ലോ.

11. Everybody in Judah and everybody in Israel will be assembled as one people. They'll choose a single leader. There'll be no stopping them--a great day in Jezreel!
