1. യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളേ, നിങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചും ഞാന് മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ച സര്വ്വവംശത്തെക്കുറിച്ചും യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ വചനം കേള്പ്പിന് !

1. Heare this worde that the Lord pronounceth against you O children of Israel [euen] against the whole familie whiche I brought vp from the lande of Egypt, saying:

2. ഭൂമിയിലെ സകലവംശങ്ങളിലുംവെച്ചു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ മാത്രം തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളുടെ അകൃത്യങ്ങളൊക്കെയും നിങ്ങളില് സന്ദര്ശിക്കും.

2. You only haue I knowen of al the families of the earth, therfore I will visite you for all your iniquities.

3. രണ്ടുപേര് തമ്മില് ഒത്തിട്ടല്ലാതെ ഒരുമിച്ചു നടക്കുമോ? ഇരയില്ലാതിരിക്കുമ്പോള് സിംഹം കാട്ടില് അലറുമോ?

3. Can two walke together, except they be agreed?

4. ഒന്നിനെയും പിടിച്ചിട്ടല്ലാതെ ബാലസിംഹം ഗുഹയില്നിന്നു ഒച്ച പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കുമോ?

4. Wyll a lion roare in the forest when he hath no pray? or wil a lions whelpe crye out of his denne, if he haue taken nothing?

5. കുടുക്കില്ലാതിരിക്കെ പക്ഷി നിലത്തെ കണിയില് അകപ്പെടുമോ? ഒന്നും പിടിപെടാതെ കണി നിലത്തുനിന്നു പൊങ്ങുമോ?

5. Can a birde fal in a snare vpon the earth where no fouler is? or wil he take vp the snare from the earth, and haue taken nothing at all?

6. നഗരത്തില് കാഹളം ഊതുമ്പോള് ജനം പേടിക്കാതിരിക്കുമോ? യഹോവ വരുത്തീട്ടല്ലാതെ നഗരത്തില് അനര്ത്ഥം ഭവിക്കുമോ?

6. Or shall a trumpet be blowen in the citie, & the people be not afrayde? or shall there be euyll in a citie, and the Lorde hath not done it?

7. യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു പ്രവാചകന്മാരായ തന്റെ ദാസന്മാര്ക്കും തന്റെ രഹസ്യം വെളിപ്പെടുത്താതെ ഒരു കാര്യവും ചെയ്കയില്ല.

7. Surely the Lord God wil do nothing, but he reuealeth his secrete vnto his seruauntes the prophetes.

8. സിംഹം ഗര്ജ്ജിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; ആര് ഭയപ്പെടാതിരിക്കും? യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു; ആര് പ്രവചിക്കാതിരിക്കും?

8. The lion hath roared, who wil not be afrayde? The Lorde God hath spoken, who can but prophecie?

9. ശമര്യ്യാപര്വ്വതങ്ങളില് വന്നുകൂടി അതിന്റെ നടുവിലുള്ള മഹാ കലഹങ്ങളെയും അതിന്റെ മദ്ധ്യേയുള്ള പീഡനങ്ങളെയും നോക്കുവിന് എന്നു അസ്തോദിലെ അരമനകളിന്മേലും മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തിലെ അരമനകളിന്മേലും ഘോഷിച്ചുപറവിന് !

9. Proclame in the palaces at Asdod, and in the palaces in the lande of Egypt, and say: Assemble your selues vpon the mountaynes of Samaria, and beholde the great tumultes in the mids thereof, and the oppressed in the mids therof:

10. തങ്ങളുടെ അരമനകളില് അന്യായവും സാഹസവും സംഗ്രഹിച്ചുവെക്കുന്നവര് ന്യായം പ്രവര്ത്തിപ്പാന് അറിയുന്നില്ല എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

10. For they know not to do right, sayth the Lorde, they store vp violence and robberie in their palaces.

11. അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുദേശത്തിന്നു ചുറ്റും ഒരു വൈരി ഉണ്ടാകും; അവന് നിന്റെ ഉറപ്പു നിങ്കല്നിന്നു താഴ്ത്തിക്കളയും; നിന്റെ അരമനകള് കൊള്ളയായ്യ്തീരും.

11. Therfore thus sayth the Lord God, An aduersarie [shall come] euen round about the countrey, and shall bring downe thy strength from thee, and thy palaces shalbe spoyled.

12. യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഒരു ഇടയന് രണ്ടു കാലോ ഒരു കാതോ സിംഹത്തിന്റെ വായില്നിന്നു വലിച്ചെടുക്കുന്നതുപോലെ ശമര്യ്യയില് കിടക്കയുടെ കോണിലും പട്ടുമെത്തമേലും ഇരിക്കുന്ന യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് വിടുവിക്കപ്പെടും.

12. Thus sayth the Lorde, As the sheephearde taketh out of the mouth of the lion two legges or a peece of an eare: so shall the children of Israel be taken out that dwell in Samaria, in the corner of a bed, and in Damascus [as in] a couche.

13. നിങ്ങള് കേട്ടു യാക്കോബ്ഗൃഹത്തോടു സാക്ഷീകരിപ്പിന് എന്നു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

13. Heare and testifie in the house of Iacob, saith the Lord God, the God of hoastes:

14. ഞാന് യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ അതിക്രമങ്ങള്നിമിത്തം അവനെ സന്ദര്ശിക്കുന്ന നാളില് ബലിപീഠത്തിന്റെ കൊമ്പുകള് മുറിഞ്ഞു നിലത്തു വീഴുവാന്തക്കവണ്ണം ഞാന് ബേഥേലിലെ ബലിപീഠങ്ങളെയും സന്ദര്ശിക്കും. ഞാന് ഹേമന്തഗൃഹവും ഗ്രീഷ്മഗൃഹവും ഒരുപോലെ തകര്ത്തുകളയും; ദന്തഭവനങ്ങള് നശിച്ചുപോകും; പലവീടുകളും മുടിഞ്ഞുപോകും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

14. That in the day that I shall visite the transgressions of Israel vpon hym, I wil also visite the aulters of Bethel, and the hornes of the aulter shalbe broken of, and fall to the grounde.
