1. യോഥാം, ആഹാസ്, യെഹിസ്കീയാവു എന്നീ യെഹൂദാരാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ കാലത്തു മോരസ്ത്യനായ മീഖെക്കു ഉണ്ടായതും അവന് ശമര്യ്യയെയും യെരൂശലേമിനെയും കുറിച്ചു ദര്ശിച്ചതുമായ യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

1. The word of the LORD that came to Micah the Morasthite in the days of Jotham, Ahaz, [and] Hezekiah, kings of Judah, which he saw concerning Samaria and Jerusalem.

2. സകലജാതികളുമായുള്ളോരേ, കേള്പ്പിന് ; ഭൂമിയും അതിലുള്ള സകലവുമായുള്ളോവേ, ചെവിക്കൊള്വിന് ; യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു, തന്റെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തില്നിന്നു കര്ത്താവു തന്നേ, നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വിരോധമായി സാക്ഷിയായിരിക്കട്ടെ.

2. Hear, all ye peoples; hearken, O earth, and all that is therein: and the Lord GOD, the Lord from his holy temple shall be [a] witness against you.

3. യഹോവ തന്റെ സ്ഥലത്തു നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു ഇറങ്ങി ഭൂമിയുടെ ഉന്നതികളിന്മേല് നടകൊള്ളുന്നു.

3. For, behold, the LORD comes forth out of his place and will come down and tread upon the high places of the earth.

4. തീയുടെ മുമ്പില് മെഴുകുപോലെയും കിഴുക്കാന്തൂക്കത്തില് ചാടുന്ന വെള്ളംപോലെയും പര്വ്വതങ്ങള് അവന്റെ കീഴില് ഉരുകുകയും താഴ്വരകള് പിളര്ന്നുപോകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

4. And the mountains shall melt under him, and the valleys shall be split, as wax before the fire, [and] as the waters [that] run down a steep place.

5. ഇതൊക്കെയും യാക്കോബിന്റെ അതിക്രമം നിമിത്തവും യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ പാപങ്ങള് നിമിത്തവുമാകുന്നു. യാക്കോബിന്റെ അതിക്രമം എന്തു? ശമര്യ്യയല്ലയോ? യെഹൂദയുടെ പൂജാഗിരികള് ഏവ?

5. All this for the rebellion of Jacob and for the sins of the house of Israel. What [is] the rebellion of Jacob? [is it] not Samaria? and what [are] the high places of Judah? [are they] not Jerusalem?

6. യെരൂശലേം അല്ലയോ? അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാന് ശമര്യ്യയെ വയലിലെ കലക്കുന്നുപോലെയും, മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തിലെ നടുതലപോലെയും ആക്കും; ഞാന് അതിന്റെ കല്ലു താഴ്വരയിലേക്കു തള്ളിയിടുകയും അതിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനങ്ങളെ അനാവൃതമാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.

6. Therefore I will make Samaria into heaps in the field, into a land of vineyards: and I will scatter her stones throughout the valley, and I will uncover her foundations.

7. അതിലെ സകല വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളും തകര്ന്നു പോകും; അതിന്റെ സകല വേശ്യാസമ്മാനങ്ങളും തീ പിടിച്ചു വെന്തുപോകും; അതിലെ സകല ബിംബങ്ങളെയും ഞാന് ശൂന്യമാക്കും; വേശ്യാസമ്മാനംകൊണ്ടല്ലോ അവള് അതു സ്വരൂപിച്ചതു; അവ വീണ്ടും വേശ്യാ സമ്മാനമായിത്തീരും.

7. And all her graven images shall be broken to pieces, and all her gifts shall be burned in the fire, and I will destroy all her idols, for she gathered [it] of the gifts of harlots, and they shall return unto gifts of harlots.

8. അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാന് വിലപിച്ചു മുറയിടും; ഞാന് ചെരിപ്പില്ലാത്തവനും നഗ്നനുമായി നടക്കും; ഞാന് കുറുനരികളെപ്പോലെ വിലപിച്ചു, ഒട്ടകപ്പക്ഷികളെപ്പോലെ കരയും.

8. Therefore I will wail and howl, I will go stripped and naked: I will make a wailing like the dragons and mourning as the owls.

9. അവളുടെ മുറിവു പൊറുക്കാത്തതല്ലോ; അതു യെഹൂദയോളം പരന്നു, എന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ ഗോപുരമായ യെരൂശലേമിനോളം എത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

9. For her wound [is] painful, for it is come unto Judah; it is come unto the gate of my people, [even] to Jerusalem.

10. അതു ഗത്തില് പ്രസ്താവിക്കരുതു; ഒട്ടും കരയരുതു; ബേത്ത്-അഫ്രയില് (പൊടിവീടു) ഞാന് പൊടിയില് ഉരുണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

10. Do not declare [it] in Gath, weep little; roll thyself in the dust for the house of Aphrah.

11. ശാഫീര് (അലങ്കാര) നഗരനിവാസികളേ, ലജ്ജയും നഗ്നതയും പൂണ്ടു കടന്നുപോകുവിന് ; സയനാന് (പുറപ്പാടു) നിവാസികള് പുറപ്പെടുവാന് തുനിയുന്നില്ല; ബേത്ത്--ഏസെലിന്റെ വിലാപം നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അവിടെ താമസിപ്പാന് മുടക്കമാകും.

11. Pass away naked with shame, thou inhabitant of Saphir: the inhabitant of Zaanan did not come forth in the mourning of Bethezel; he shall receive of you for his lateness.

12. യഹോവയുടെ പക്കല്നിന്നു യെരൂശലേംഗോപുരത്തിങ്കല് തിന്മ ഇറങ്ങിയിരിക്കയാല് മാരോത്ത് (കൈപ്പു) നിവാസികള് നന്മെക്കായി കാത്തു പിടെക്കുന്നു.

12. For the inhabitant of Maroth was pained because of good; therefore evil came down from the LORD unto the gate of Jerusalem.

13. ലാക്കീശ് (ത്വരിത) നഗരനിവാസികളേ, തുരഗങ്ങളെ രഥത്തിന്നു കെട്ടുവിന് ; അവര് സീയോന് പുത്രിക്കു പാപകാരണമായ്തീര്ന്നു; യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ അതിക്രമങ്ങള് നിന്നില് കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

13. O thou inhabitant of Lachish, hitch the chariot to dromedaries: for thou [wert] the beginning of the sin to the daughter of Zion, for in thee the rebellions of Israel were invented.

14. അതുകൊണ്ടു നീ മോരേശെത്ത്-ഗത്തിന്നു ഉപേക്ഷണസമ്മാനം കൊടുക്കേണ്ടിവരും; ബേത്ത്-അക്സീബിലെ (വ്യാജഗൃഹം) വീടുകള് യിസ്രായേല്രാജാക്കന്മാര്ക്കും ആശാഭംഗമായി ഭവിക്കും.

14. Therefore shalt thou give gifts to Moreshethgath; the houses of Achzib [shall be] a lie to the kings of Israel.

15. മാരേശാ (കൈവശം) നിവാസികളേ, കൈവശമാക്കുന്ന ഒരുത്തനെ ഞാന് നിങ്ങളുടെ നേരെ വരുത്തും; യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ മഹത്തുക്കള് അദുല്ലാമോളം ചെല്ലേണ്ടിവരും.

15. Yet will I bring an heir unto thee, O inhabitant of Mareshah; the glory of Israel shall come unto Adullam.

16. നിന്റെ ഔമനക്കുഞ്ഞുകള്നിമിത്തം നിന്നെത്തന്നെ ക്ഷൌരംചെയ്തു മൊട്ടയാക്കുക; കഴുകനെപ്പോലെ നിന്റെ കഷണ്ടിയെ വിസ്താരമാക്കുക; അവര് നിന്നെ വിട്ടു പ്രവാസത്തിലേക്കു പോയല്ലോ.

16. Make thee bald, and shave thee for the sons of thy delight; enlarge thy baldness as the eagle, for they are gone into captivity from thee.:
