1. അന്നാളില് ദാവീദ്ഗൃഹത്തിന്നും യെരൂശലേംനിവാസികള്ക്കും പാപത്തിന്റെയും മാലിന്യത്തിന്റെയും പരിഹാരത്തിന്നായി ഒരു ഉറവു തുറന്നിരിക്കും.

1. In that day there is a fountain opened To the house of David And to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, For sin and for impurity.

2. അന്നാളില് ഞാന് ദേശത്തുനിന്നു വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളുടെ പേര് ഇല്ലാതാക്കും; ഇനി അവയെ ഔര്ക്കയുമില്ല; ഞാന് പ്രവാചകന്മാരെയും മലിനാത്മാവിനെയും ദേശത്തുനിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളയും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

2. And it hath come to pass, in that day, An affirmation of Jehovah of Hosts, I cut off the names of the idols from the land, And they are not remembered any more, And also the prophets and the spirit of uncleanness I cause to pass away from the land.

3. ആരെങ്കിലും ഇനി പ്രവചിക്കുമ്പോള് അവനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ച അപ്പനും അമ്മയും അവനോടുയഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തില് ഭോഷകു സംസാരിക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു നീ ജീവനോടിരിക്കയില്ല എന്നു പറകയും അവനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ച അപ്പനും അമ്മയും അവന് പ്രവചിക്കയില്തന്നേ അവനെ കുത്തിക്കളകയും ചെയ്യും.

3. And it hath been, when one prophesieth again, That said unto him have his father and his mother, his parents, 'Thou dost not live, For falsehood thou hast spoken in the name of Jehovah,' And pierced him through have his father and his mother, his parents, in his prophesying.

4. അന്നാളില് പ്രവാചകന്മാര് പ്രവചിക്കയില് ഔരോരുത്തന് താന്താന്റെ ദര്ശനത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു ലജ്ജിക്കും; ലജ്ജിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവര് രോമമുള്ള മേലങ്കി ധരിക്കയുമില്ല.

4. And it hath come to pass, in that day, Ashamed are the prophets, each of his vision, in his prophesying, And they put not on a hairy robe to deceive.

5. ഞാന് പ്രവാചകനല്ല, കൃഷിക്കാരനത്രേ; എന്റെ ബാല്യത്തില് തന്നേ ഒരാള് എന്നെ വിലെക്കു മേടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അവന് പറയും. എന്നാല് അവനോടു

5. And [one] hath said, 'I am not a prophet, A man, a tiller of ground I am, For ground [is] my possession from my youth.'

6. നിന്റെ കയ്യില് കാണുന്ന ഈ മുറിവുകള് എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിക്കുന്നതിന്നു അവന് എന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവരുടെ വീട്ടില്വെച്ചു ഞാന് അടികൊണ്ടതാകുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറയും.

6. And [one] hath said unto him, 'What [are] these wounds in thy hands?' And he hath said, 'Because I was smitten [at] home by my lovers.'

7. വാളേ, എന്റെ ഇടയന്റെ നേരെയും എന്റെ കൂട്ടാളിയായ പുരുഷന്റെ നേരെയും ഉണരുക എന്നു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു; ആടുകള് ചിതറിപ്പോകേണ്ടതിന്നു ഇടയനെ വെട്ടുക; ഞാന് ചെറിയവരുടെ നേരെ കൈ തിരിക്കും.

7. Sword, awake against My shepherd, And against a hero -- My fellow, An affirmation of Jehovah of Hosts. Smite the shepherd, and scattered is the flock, And I have put back My hand on the little ones.

8. എന്നാല് സര്വ്വദേശത്തിലും മൂന്നില് രണ്ടംശം ഛേദിക്കപ്പെട്ടു പ്രാണനെ വിടും; മൂന്നില് ഒരംശം ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

8. And it hath come to pass, In all the land, an affirmation of Jehovah, Two parts in it are cut off -- they expire, And the third is left in it.

9. മൂന്നില് ഒരംശം ഞാന് തീയില് കൂടി കടത്തി വെള്ളി ഊതിക്കഴിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ അവരെ ഊതിക്കഴിക്കും; പൊന്നു ശോധന കഴിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ അവരെ ശോധനകഴിക്കും; അവര് എന്റെ നാമത്തെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കയും ഞാന് അവര്ക്കും ഉത്തരം അരുളുകയും ചെയ്യും; അവര് എന്റെ ജനം എന്നു ഞാന് പറയും; യഹോവ എന്റെ ദൈവം എന്നു അവരും പറയും.

9. And I have brought the third into fire, And refined them like a refining of silver, And have tried them like a trying of gold, It doth call in My name, and I answer it, I have said, 'My people it [is],' And it saith, 'Jehovah [is] my God!'
