1. പിന്നെ അവന് അവരോടുദൈവരാജ്യം ശക്തിയോടെ വരുന്നതു കാണുവോളം മരണം ആസ്വദിക്കാത്തവര് ചിലര് ഈ നിലക്കുന്നവരില് ഉണ്ടു എന്നു ഞാന് സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

1. And he said to them, 'Verily I say to you, That there are certain of those standing here, who may not taste of death till they see the reign of God having come in power.'

2. ആറു ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞ ശേഷം യേശു പത്രൊസിനെയും യാക്കോബിനെയും യോഹന്നാനെയും കൂട്ടി ഒരു ഉയര്ന്ന മലയിലേക്കു തനിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോയി അവരുടെ മുമ്പാകെ രൂപാന്തരപ്പെട്ടു.

2. And after six days doth Jesus take Peter, and James, and John, and bringeth them up to a high mount by themselves, alone, and he was transfigured before them,

3. ഭൂമിയില് ഒരു അലക്കുകാരന്നും വെളുപ്പിപ്പാന് കഴിയാതെവണ്ണം അവന്റെ വസ്ത്രം അത്യന്തം വെളുപ്പായി തിളങ്ങി.

3. and his garments became glittering, white exceedingly, as snow, so as a fuller upon the earth is not able to whiten [them].

4. അപ്പോള് ഏലീയാവും മോശെയും അവര്ക്കും പ്രത്യക്ഷമായി യേശുവിനോടു സംഭാഷിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

4. And there appeared to them Elijah with Moses, and they were talking with Jesus.

5. പത്രൊസ് യേശുവിനോടുറബ്ബീ നാം ഇവിടെ ഇരിക്കുന്നതു നല്ലതു; ഞങ്ങള് മൂന്നു കുടില് ഉണ്ടാക്കട്ടെ; ഒന്നു നിനക്കും ഒന്നു മോശെക്കും ഒന്നു ഏലീയാവിന്നും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

5. And Peter answering saith to Jesus, 'Rabbi, it is good to us to be here; and we may make three booths, for thee one, and for Moses one, and for Elijah one:'

6. താന് എന്തു പറയേണ്ടു എന്നു അവന് അറിഞ്ഞില്ല; അവര് ഭയപരവശരായിരുന്നു.

6. for he was not knowing what he might say, for they were greatly afraid.

7. പിന്നെ ഒരു മേഘം വന്നു അവരുടെ മേല് നിഴലിട്ടുഇവന് എന്റെ പ്രിയ പുത്രന് ; ഇവന്നു ചെവികൊടുപ്പിന് എന്നു മേഘത്തില് നിന്നു ഒരു ശബ്ദവും ഉണ്ടായി.

7. And there came a cloud overshadowing them, and there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, 'This is My Son -- the Beloved, hear ye him;'

8. and suddenly, having looked around, they saw no one any more, but Jesus only with themselves.

9. അവര് മലയില് നിന്നു ഇറങ്ങുമ്പോള്മനുഷ്യപുത്രന് മരിച്ചവരില് നിന്നു എഴുന്നേറ്റിട്ടല്ലാതെ ഈ കണ്ടതു ആരോടും അറിയിക്കരുതു എന്നു അവന് അവരോടു കല്പിച്ചു.

9. And as they are coming down from the mount, he charged them that they may declare to no one the things that they saw, except when the Son of Man may rise out of the dead;

10. മരിച്ചവരില് നിന്നു എഴുന്നേല്ക്ക എന്നുള്ളതു എന്തു എന്നു തമ്മില് തര്ക്കിച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു അവര് ആ വാക്കു ഉള്ളില് സംഗ്രഹിച്ചു;

10. and the thing they kept to themselves, questioning together what the rising out of the dead is.

11. ഏലീയാവു മുമ്പെ വരേണ്ടതു എന്നു ശാസ്ത്രിമാര് വാദിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു അവര് ചോദിച്ചു.

11. And they were questioning him, saying, that the scribes say that Elijah it behoveth to come first.

12. അതിന്നു യേശുഏന്നഏലീയാവു മുമ്പെ വന്നു സകലവും യഥാസ്ഥാനത്താക്കുന്നു സത്യം; എന്നാല് മനുഷ്യപുത്രനെക്കുറിച്ചുഅവന് വളരെ കഷ്ടപ്പെടുകയും ധിക്കരിക്കപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്യേണ്ടിവരും എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ?

12. And he answering said to them, 'Elijah indeed, having come first, doth restore all things; and how hath it been written concerning the Son of Man, that many things he may suffer, and be set at nought?

13. ഏലീയാവു വന്നു; അവനെക്കുറിച്ചു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ അവര് തങ്ങള്ക്കു തോന്നിയതു എല്ലാം അവനോടു ചെയ്തു എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

13. But I say to you, That also Elijah hath come, and they did to him what they willed, as it hath been written of him.'

14. അവന് ശിഷ്യന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കെ വന്നാറെ വലിയ പുരുഷാരം അവരെ ചുറ്റി നിലക്കുന്നതും ശാസ്ത്രിമാര് അവരോടു തര്ക്കിക്കുന്നതും കണ്ടു.

14. And having come unto the disciples, he saw a great multitude about them, and scribes questioning with them,

15. പുരുഷാരം അവനെ കണ്ട ഉടനെ ഭ്രമിച്ചു ഔടിവന്നു അവനെ വന്ദിച്ചു.

15. and immediately, all the multitude having seen him, were amazed, and running near, were saluting him.

16. അവന് അവരോടുനിങ്ങള് അവരുമായി തര്ക്കിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

16. And he questioned the scribes, 'What dispute ye with them?'

17. അതിന്നു പുരുഷാരത്തില് ഒരുത്തന് ഗുരോ, ഊമനായ ആത്മാവുള്ള എന്റെ മകനെ ഞാന് നിന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

17. and one out of the multitude answering said, 'Teacher, I brought my son unto thee, having a dumb spirit;

18. അതു അവനെ എവിടെവെച്ചു പിടിച്ചാലും അവനെ തള്ളിയിടുന്നു; പിന്നെ അവന് നുരെച്ചു പല്ലുകടിച്ചു വരണ്ടുപോകുന്നു. അതിനെ പുറത്താക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന് നിന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടു അവര്ക്കും കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

18. and wherever it doth seize him, it doth tear him, and he foameth, and gnasheth his teeth, and pineth away; and I spake to thy disciples that they may cast it out, and they were not able.'

19. അവന് അവരോടുഅവിശ്വാസമുള്ള തലമുറയേ, എത്രത്തോളം ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു കൂടെ ഇരിക്കും? എത്രത്തോളം നിങ്ങളെ പൊറുക്കും? അവനെ എന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവരുവിന് എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

19. And he answering him, said, 'O generation unbelieving, till when shall I be with you? till when shall I suffer you? bring him unto me;'

20. അവര് അവനെ അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവന്നു. അവനെ കണ്ട ഉടനെ ആത്മാവു അവനെ ഇഴെച്ചു; അവന് നിലത്തു വീണു നുരെച്ചുരുണ്ടു.

20. and they brought him unto him, and he having seen him, immediately the spirit tare him, and he, having fallen upon the earth, was wallowing -- foaming.

21. ഇതു അവന്നു സംഭവിച്ചിട്ടു എത്ര കാലമായി എന്നു അവന്റെ അപ്പനോടു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു അവന് ചെറുപ്പംമുതല് തന്നേ.

21. And he questioned his father, 'How long time is it since this came to him?' and he said, 'From childhood,

22. അതു അവനെ നശിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു പലപ്പോഴും തീയിലും വെള്ളത്തിലും തള്ളിയിട്ടിട്ടുണ്ടു; നിന്നാല് വല്ലതും കഴിയും എങ്കില് മനസ്സല്ലിഞ്ഞു ഞങ്ങളെ സഹായിക്കേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. യേശു അവനോടുനിന്നാല് കഴിയും എങ്കില് എന്നോ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവന്നു സകലവും കഴിയും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

22. and many times also it cast him into fire, and into water, that it might destroy him; but if thou art able to do anything, help us, having compassion on us.'

23. യേശു അവനോടുനിന്നാല് കഴിയും എങ്കില് എന്നോ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവന്നു സകലവും കഴിയും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

23. And Jesus said to him, 'If thou art able to believe! all things are possible to the one that is believing;'

24. ബാലന്റെ അപ്പന് ഉടനെ നിലവിളിച്ചുകര്ത്താവേ, ഞാന് വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ അവിശ്വാസത്തിനു സഹായിക്കേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

24. and immediately the father of the child, having cried out, with tears said, 'I believe, sir; be helping mine unbelief.'

25. എന്നാറെ പുരുഷാരം ഔടിക്കൂടുന്നതു യേശു കണ്ടിട്ടു അശുദ്ധാത്മാവിനെ ശാസിച്ചുഊമനും ചെകിടനുമായ ആത്മാവേ, ഇവനെ വിട്ടു പോ; ഇനി അവനില് കടക്കരുതു എന്നു ഞാന് നിന്നോടു കല്പിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

25. Jesus having seen that a multitude doth run together, rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, 'Spirit -- dumb and deaf -- I charge thee, come forth out of him, and no more thou mayest enter into him;'

26. അപ്പോള് അതു നിലവിളിച്ചു അവനെ വളരെ ഇഴെച്ചു പുറപ്പെട്ടുപോയി. മരിച്ചുപോയി എന്നു പലരും പറവാന് തക്കവണ്ണം അവന് മരിച്ച പോലെ ആയി.

26. and having cried, and rent him much, it came forth, and he became as dead, so that many said that he was dead,

27. യേശു അവനെ കൈകൂ പിടിച്ചു നിവര്ത്തി, അവന് എഴുന്നേറ്റു.

27. but Jesus, having taken him by the hand, lifted him up, and he arose.

28. വീട്ടില് വന്നശേഷം ശിഷ്യന്മാര് സ്വകാര്യമായി അവനോടുഞങ്ങള്ക്കു അതിനെ പുറത്താക്കുവാന് കഴിയാഞ്ഞതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

28. And he having come into the house, his disciples were questioning him by himself -- 'Why were we not able to cast it forth?'

29. പ്രാര്ത്ഥനയാല് അല്ലാതെ ഈ ജാതി ഒന്നിനാലും പുറപ്പെട്ടുപോകയില്ല എന്നു അവന് പറഞ്ഞു.

29. And he said to them, 'This kind is able to come forth with nothing except with prayer and fasting.'

30. അവിടെ നിന്നു അവര് പുറപ്പെട്ടു ഗലീലയില് കൂടി സഞ്ചരിച്ചു; അതു ആരും അറിയരുതെന്നു അവന് ഇച്ഛിച്ചു.

30. And having gone forth thence, they were passing through Galilee, and he did not wish that any may know,

31. അവന് തന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരെ പഠിപ്പിച്ചു അവരോടുമനുഷ്യപുത്രന് മനുഷ്യരുടെ കയ്യില് ഏല്പിക്കപ്പെടും; അവര് അവനെ കൊല്ലും; കൊന്നിട്ടു മൂന്നു നാള് കഴിഞ്ഞ ശേഷം അവന് ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേലക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

31. for he was teaching his disciples, and he said to them, 'The Son of Man is being delivered to the hands of men, and they shall kill him, and having been killed the third day he shall rise,'

32. ആ വാക്കു അവര് ഗ്രഹിച്ചില്ല; അവനോടു ചോദിപ്പാനോ ഭയപ്പെട്ടു.

32. but they were not understanding the saying, and they were afraid to question him.

33. അവന് കഫര്ന്നഹൂമില് വന്നു വീട്ടില് ഇരിക്കുമ്പോള്നിങ്ങള് വഴിയില്വെച്ചു തമ്മില് വാദിച്ചതു എന്തു എന്നു അവരോടു ചോദിച്ചു.

33. And he came to Capernaum, and being in the house, he was questioning them, 'What were ye reasoning in the way among yourselves?'

34. അവരോ തങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് വലിയവന് ആര് എന്നു വഴിയില്വെച്ചു വാദിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു മിണ്ടാതിരുന്നു.

34. and they were silent, for with one another they did reason in the way who is greater;

35. അവന് ഇരുന്നു പന്തിരുവരെയും വിളിച്ചുഒരുവന് മുമ്പന് ആകുവാന് ഇച്ഛിച്ചാല് അവന് എല്ലാവരിലും ഒടുക്കത്തവനും എല്ലാവര്ക്കും ശുശ്രൂഷകനും ആകേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

35. and having sat down he called the twelve, and he saith to them, 'If any doth will to be first, he shall be last of all, and minister of all.'

36. ഒരു ശിശുവിനെ എടുത്തു അവരുടെ നടുവില് നിറുത്തി അണെച്ചുകൊണ്ടു അവരോടു

36. And having taken a child, he set him in the midst of them, and having taken him in his arms, said to them,

37. ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ള ശിശുക്കളില് ഒന്നിനെ എന്റെ നാമത്തില് കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നവന് എന്നെ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നു; എന്നെ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നവനോ എന്നെയല്ല എന്നെ അയച്ചവനെ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

37. 'Whoever may receive one of such children in my name, doth receive me, and whoever may receive me, doth not receive me, but Him who sent me.'

38. യോഹന്നാന് അവനോടുഗുരോ, ഒരുവന് നിന്റെ നാമത്തില് ഭൂതങ്ങളെ പുറത്താക്കുന്നതു ഞങ്ങള് കണ്ടു; അവന് നമ്മെ അനുഗമിക്കായ്കയാല് ഞങ്ങള് അവനെ വിരോധിച്ചു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

38. And John did answer him, saying, 'Teacher, we saw a certain one in thy name casting out demons, who doth not follow us, and we forbade him, because he doth not follow us.'

39. അതിന്നു യേശു പറഞ്ഞതുഅവനെ വിരോധിക്കരുതു; എന്റെ നാമത്തില് ഒരു വീര്യപ്രവൃത്തി ചെയ്തിട്ടു വേഗത്തില് എന്നെ ദുഷിച്ചുപറവാന് കഴിയുന്നവന് ആരും ഇല്ല.

39. And Jesus said, 'Forbid him not, for there is no one who shall do a mighty work in my name, and shall be able readily to speak evil of me:

40. നമുക്കു പ്രതിക്കുലമല്ലാത്തവന് നമുക്കു അനുകൂലമല്ലോ.

40. for he who is not against us is for us;

41. നിങ്ങള് ക്രിസ്തുവിന്നുള്ളവര് എന്നീ നാമത്തില് ആരെങ്കിലും ഒരു പാനപാത്രം വെള്ളം നിങ്ങള്ക്കു കുടിപ്പാന് തന്നാല് അവന്നു പ്രതിഫലം കിട്ടാതിരിക്കയില്ല എന്നു ഞാന് സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

41. for whoever may give you to drink a cup of water in my name, because ye are Christ's, verily I say to you, he may not lose his reward;

42. എങ്കല് വിശ്വസിക്കുന്ന ഈ ചെറിയവരില് ഒരുത്തന്നു ഇടര്ച്ചവരുത്തുന്നവന്റെ കഴുത്തില് വലിയോരു തിരികല്ലു കെട്ടി അവനെ കടലില് ഇട്ടുകളയുന്നതു അവന്നു ഏറെ നല്ലു.

42. and whoever may cause to stumble one of the little ones believing in me, better is it for him if a millstone is hanged about his neck, and he hath been cast into the sea.

43. നിന്റെ കൈ നിനക്കു ഇടര്ച്ച വരുത്തിയാല് അതിനെ വെട്ടിക്കളക

43. 'And if thy hand may cause thee to stumble, cut it off; it is better for thee maimed to enter into the life, than having the two hands, to go away to the gehenna, to the fire -- the unquenchable --

44. മുടന്തനായി ജീവനില് കടക്കുന്നതു രണ്ടു കയ്യുമുള്ളവന് ആയി കെടാത്ത തീയായ നരകത്തില് പോകുന്നതിനെക്കാള് നിനക്കു നല്ലു.

44. where their worm is not dying, and the fire is not being quenched.

45. നിന്റെ കാല് നിനക്കു ഇടര്ച്ച വരുത്തിയാല് അതിനെ വെട്ടിക്കളക

45. 'And if thy foot may cause thee to stumble, cut it off; it is better for thee to enter into the life lame, than having the two feet to be cast to the gehenna, to the fire -- the unquenchable --

46. മുടന്തനായി ജീവനില് കടക്കുന്നതു രണ്ടു കാലുമുള്ളവന് ആയി കെടാത്ത തീയായ നരകത്തില് വീഴുന്നതിനെക്കാള് നിനക്കു നല്ലു.

46. where their worm is not dying, and the fire is not being quenched.

47. നിന്റെ കണ്ണു നിനക്കു ഇടര്ച്ച വരുത്തിയാല് അതിനെ ചൂന്നുകളക; ഒറ്റക്കണ്ണനായി ദൈവരാജ്യത്തില് കടക്കുന്നതു രണ്ടുകണ്ണുള്ളവനായി അഗ്നിനരകത്തില് വീഴുന്നതിനെക്കാള് നിനക്കു നല്ലു.

47. And if thine eye may cause thee to stumble, cast it out; it is better for thee one-eyed to enter into the reign of God, than having two eyes, to be cast to the gehenna of the fire --

48. അവിടെ അവരുടെ പുഴു ചാകുന്നില്ല. തീ കെടുന്നതുമില്ല.
യെശയ്യാ 66:24

48. where their worm is not dying, and the fire is not being quenched;

49. എല്ലാവന്നും തീകൊണ്ടു ഉപ്പിടും.

49. for every one with fire shall be salted, and every sacrifice with salt shall be salted.

50. ഉപ്പു നല്ലതു തന്നേ; ഉപ്പു കാരമില്ലാതെ പോയാലോ എന്തൊന്നിനാല് അതിന്നു രസം വരുത്തും? നിങ്ങളില് തന്നേ ഉപ്പുള്ളവരും അന്യോന്യം സമാധാനമുള്ളവരും ആയിരിപ്പിന് .

50. The salt [is] good, but if the salt may become saltless, in what will ye season [it]? Have in yourselves salt, and have peace in one another.'
