1. ഇക്കോന്യയില് അവര് ഒരുമിച്ചു യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ പള്ളിയില് ചെന്നു യെഹൂദന്മാരിലും യവനന്മാരിലും വലിയോരു പുരുഷാരം വിശ്വസിപ്പാന് തക്കവണ്ണം സംസാരിച്ചു.

1. But it bifelde at Yconye, that thei entriden togidir in to the synagoge of Jewis, and spaken, so that ful greet multitude of Jewis and Grekis bileueden.

2. വിശ്വസിക്കാത്ത യെഹൂദന്മാരോ ജാതികളുടെ മനസ്സു സഹോദരന്മാരുടെ നേരെ ഇളക്കി വഷളാക്കി.

2. But the Jewis that weren vnbileueful, reiseden persecucioun, and stiriden to wraththe the soulis of hethene men ayens the britheren; but the Lord yaf soone pees.

3. എന്നാല് അവര് വളരെക്കാലം അവിടെ പാര്ത്തു, കര്ത്താവില് ആശ്രയിച്ചു പ്രാഗത്ഭ്യത്തോടെ പ്രസംഗിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു; അവന് തന്റെ കൃപയുടെ വചനത്തിന്നു സാക്ഷിനിന്നു, അവരുടെ കയ്യാല് അടയാളങ്ങളും അത്ഭുതങ്ങളും ഉണ്ടാകുവാന് വരം നല്കി.

3. Therfor thei dwelliden myche tyme, and diden tristili in the Lord, berynge witnessyng to the word of his grace, yyuynge signes and wondris to be maad bi the hondis of hem.

4. എന്നാല് പട്ടണത്തിലെ ജനസമൂഹം ഭിന്നിച്ചു ചിലര് അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരുടെ പക്ഷത്തിലും ആയി.

4. But the multitude of the citee was departid, and sum weren with the Jewis, and sum with the apostlis.

5. അവരെ അവമാനിപ്പാനും കല്ലെറിവാനും ജാതികളും യെഹൂദന്മാരും അവിടത്തെ പ്രമാണികളോടുകൂടി ഒരു ആക്രമം ഭാവിച്ചപ്പോള് അവര് അതു ഗ്രഹിച്ചു ലുസ്ത്ര,

5. But whanne ther was maad `an asaute of the hethene men and the Jewis, with her princis, to turmenten and to stonen hem,

6. thei vndurstoden, and fledden togidere to the citees of Licaonye, and Listris, and Derben, and into al the cuntre aboute. And thei prechiden there the gospel, and al the multitude was moued togider in the teching of hem. Poul and Barnabas dwelten at Listris.

7. ഔടിപ്പോയി അവിടെ സുവിശേഷം അറിയിച്ചുപോന്നു.

7. And a man at Listris was sijk in the feet, and hadde sete crokid fro his modris wombe, which neuer hadde goen.

8. ലുസ്ത്രയില് അമ്മയുടെ ഗര്ഭംമുതല് മുടന്തനായി ഒരിക്കലും നടന്നിട്ടില്ലാതെയും കാലിന്നു ശക്തിയില്ലാതെയും ഉള്ളോരു പുരുഷന് ഇരുന്നിരുന്നു.

8. This herde Poul spekinge; and Poul biheld hym, and siy that he hadde feith, that he schulde be maad saaf,

9. അവന് പൊലൊസ് സംസാരിക്കുന്നതു കേട്ടു; അവന് അവനെ ഉറ്റു നോക്കി, സൌഖ്യം പ്രാപിപ്പാന് അവന്നു വിശ്വാസമുണ്ടു എന്നു കണ്ടിട്ടു

9. and seide with a greet vois, Rise thou `vp riyt on thi feet. And he lippide, and walkide.

10. നീ എഴുന്നേറ്റു കാലൂന്നി നിവിര്ന്നുനില്ക്ക എന്നു ഉറക്കെ പറഞ്ഞു; അവന് കുതിച്ചെഴുന്നേറ്റു നടന്നു

10. And the puple, whanne thei hadde seyn that that Poul dide, reriden her vois in Licaon tunge, and seiden, Goddis maad lijk to men ben comun doun to vs.

11. പൌലൊസ് ചെയ്തതു പുരുഷാരം കണ്ടിട്ടുദേവന്മാര് മനുഷ്യരൂപത്തില് നമ്മുടെ അടുക്കല് ഇറങ്ങിവന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ലുക്കവോന്യഭാഷയില് നിലവിളിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു.

11. And thei clepiden Barnabas Jubiter, and Poul Mercurie, for he was ledere of the word.

12. ബര്ന്നബാസിന്നു ഇന്ദ്രന് എന്നും പൌലൊസ് മുഖ്യപ്രസംഗിയാകയാല് അവന്നു ബുധന് എന്നു പേര്വിളിച്ചു.

12. And the preest of Jubiter that was bifor the citee, brouyte boolis and crownes bifor the yatis, with puplis, and wolde haue maad sacrifice.

13. പട്ടണത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പിലുള്ള ഇന്ദ്രക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ പുരോഹിതന് കാളകളെയും പൂമാലകളെയും ഗോപുരത്തിങ്കല് കൊണ്ടുവന്നു പുരുഷാരത്തോടുകൂടെ യാഗം കഴിപ്പാന് ഭാവിച്ചു.

13. And whanne the apostlis Barnabas and Poul herden this, thei to-renten her cootis; and thei skipten out among the puple,

14. ഇതു അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരായ ബര്ന്നബാസും പൌലൊസും കേട്ടിട്ടു വസ്ത്രം കീറിക്കൊണ്ടു പുരുഷാരത്തിന്റെ ഇടയിലേക്കു ഔടിച്ചെന്നു നിലവിളിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞതു

14. and crieden, and seiden, Men, what don ye this thing? and we ben deedli men lijk you, and schewen to you, that ye be conuertid fro these veyn thingis to the lyuynge God, that maad heuene, and erthe, and the see, and alle thingis that ben in hem;

15. പുരുഷന്മാരേ, നിങ്ങള് ഈ ചെയ്യുന്നതു എന്തു? ഞങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളോടു സമസ്വഭാവമുള്ള മനുഷ്യര് അത്രെ; നിങ്ങള് ഈ വ്യര്ത്ഥകാര്യങ്ങളെ വിട്ടു, ആകാശവും ഭൂമിയും സമുദ്രവും അവയിലുള്ള സകലവും ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ ജീവനുള്ള ദൈവത്തിങ്കലേക്കു തിരിയേണം എന്നുള്ള സുവിശേഷം ഞങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളോടു അറിയിക്കുന്നു.

17. എങ്കിലും അവന് നന്മചെയ്കയും ആകാശത്തുനിന്നു മഴയും ഫലപുഷ്ടിയുള്ള കാലങ്ങളും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തരികയും ആഹാരവും സന്തോഷവും നല്കി നിങ്ങളെ തൃപ്തരാക്കുകയും ചെയ്തുപോന്നതിനാല് തന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു സാക്ഷ്യം തരാതിരുന്നിട്ടില്ല.

19. എന്നാല് അന്ത്യൊക്ക്യയില് നിന്നും ഇക്കോന്യയില് നിന്നും യെഹൂദന്മാര് വന്നു കൂടി പുരുഷാരത്തെ വശത്താക്കി പൌലൊസിനെ കല്ലെറിഞ്ഞു; അവന് മരിച്ചു എന്നു വിചാരിച്ചിട്ടു അവനെ പട്ടണത്തിന്നു പുറത്തേക്കു ഇഴെച്ചു കളഞ്ഞു.

19. But whanne disciplis weren comun aboute him, he roos, and wente in to the citee; and in the dai suynge he wente forth with Barnabas in to Derben.

20. എന്നാല് ശിഷ്യന്മാര് അവനെ ചുറ്റിനില്ക്കയില് അവന് എഴുന്നേറ്റു പട്ടണത്തില് ചെന്നു; പിറ്റെന്നാള് ബര്ന്നബാസിനോടു കൂടി ദെര്ബ്ബെക്കു പോയി.

20. And whanne thei hadden prechid to the ilk citee, and tauyte manye, thei turneden ayen to Listris, and Iconye, and to Antioche; confermynge the soulis of disciplis,

21. ആ പട്ടണത്തിലും സുവിശേഷം അറിയിച്ചു പലരെയും ശിഷ്യരാക്കിയശേഷം അവര് ലുസ്ത്ര, ഇക്കോന്യ, അന്ത്യോക്യ എന്ന പട്ടണങ്ങളിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിച്ചെന്നു,

21. and monestinge, that thei schulden dwelle in feith, and seiden, That bi many tribulaciouns it bihoueth vs to entre in to the kingdom of heuenes.

22. വിശ്വാസത്തില് നില നില്ക്കേണം എന്നും നാം അനേകം കഷ്ടങ്ങളില്കൂടി ദൈവരാജ്യത്തില് കടക്കേണ്ടതാകുന്നു എന്നും പ്രബോധിപ്പിച്ചു ശിഷ്യന്മാരുടെ മനസ്സു ഉറപ്പിച്ചു പോന്നു.

22. And whanne thei hadden ordeined prestis to hem bi alle citees, and hadden preied with fastyngis, thei bitoken hem to the Lord, in whom thei bileueden.

23. അവര് സഭതോറും അവര്ക്കും മൂപ്പന്മാരെ നിയമിക്കയും ഉപവസിച്ചും പ്രാര്ത്ഥിച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു തങ്ങള് വിശ്വസിച്ച കര്ത്താവിങ്കല് അവരെ ഭാരമേല്പിക്കയും ചെയ്തു.

23. And thei passiden Persidie, and camen to Pamfilie;

24. അവര് പിസിദ്യയില്കൂടി കടന്നു പംഫുല്യയില്എത്തി,

24. and thei spaken the word `of the Lord in Pergen, and camen doun in to Italie.

25. പെര്ഗ്ഗയില്വചനം പ്രസംഗിച്ചശേഷം അത്തല്യെക്കു പോയി

25. And fro thennys thei wenten bi boot to Antiochie, fro whennus thei weren takun to the grace of God, in to the werk that thei filliden.

26. അവിടെ നിന്നു കപ്പല് കയറി അന്ത്യൊക്ക്യയിലേക്കു പോയി; തങ്ങള് നിവര്ത്തിച്ച വേലക്കായി ദൈവകൃപയില് അവരെ ഭരമേല്പിച്ചയച്ചതു അവിടെനിന്നു ആയിരുന്നുവല്ലോ.

26. And whanne thei weren comun, and hadden gaderid the chirche, thei telden hou grete thingis God dide with hem, and that he hadde openyde to hethene men the dore of feith.

27. അവിടെ എത്തിയശേഷം സഭയെ ഒരുമിച്ചു കൂട്ടി, ദൈവം തങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഇരുന്നു ചെയ്തതൊക്കെയും ജാതികള്ക്കു വിശ്വാസത്തിന്റെ വാതില് തുറന്നുകൊടുത്തതും അറിയിച്ചു.

27. And thei dwelliden not a litil tyme with the disciplis.
