1. ഞാന് ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ അനുകാരിയായിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ നിങ്ങളും എന്റെ അനുകാരികള് ആകുവിന് .

1. Followers of me become ye, as I also [am] of Christ.

2. നിങ്ങള് സകലത്തിലും എന്നെ ഔര്ക്കുംകയും ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ ഏല്പിച്ച കല്പനകളെ പ്രമാണിക്കയും ചെയ്കയാല് നിങ്ങളെ പുകഴ്ത്തുന്നു.

2. And I praise you, brethren, that in all things ye remember me, and according as I did deliver to you, the deliverances ye keep,

3. എന്നാല് ഏതു പുരുഷന്റെയും തല ക്രിസ്തു, സ്ത്രീയുടെ തല പുരുഷന് , ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ തല ദൈവം എന്നു നിങ്ങള് അറിയേണം എന്നു ഞാന് ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു.
ഉല്പത്തി 3:16

3. and I wish you to know that of every man the head is the Christ, and the head of a woman is the husband, and the head of Christ is God.

4. മൂടുപടം ഇട്ടു പ്രാര്ത്ഥിക്കയോ പ്രവചിക്കയോ ചെയ്യുന്ന ഏതു പുരുഷനും തന്റെ തലയെ അപമാനിക്കുന്നു.

4. Every man praying or prophesying, having the head covered, doth dishonour his head,

5. മൂടുപടമില്ലാതെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥിക്കയോ പ്രവചിക്കയോ ചെയ്യുന്ന ഏതു സ്ത്രീയും തന്റെ തലയെ അപമാനിക്കുന്നു; അതു അവള് ക്ഷൌരം ചെയ്യിച്ചതുപോലെയല്ലോ.

5. and every woman praying or prophesying with the head uncovered, doth dishonour her own head, for it is one and the same thing with her being shaven,

6. സ്ത്രീ മൂടുപടമിടുന്നില്ലെങ്കില് മുടി കത്രിച്ചുകളയട്ടെ. കത്രിക്കുന്നതോ ക്ഷൌരം ചെയ്യിക്കുന്നതോ സ്ത്രീക്കു ലജ്ജയെങ്കില് മൂടുപടം ഇട്ടുകൊള്ളട്ടെ.

6. for if a woman is not covered -- then let her be shorn, and if [it is] a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven -- let her be covered;

7. പുരുഷന് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പ്രതിമയും തേജസ്സും ആകയാല് മൂടുപടം ഇടേണ്ടതല്ല. സ്ത്രീയോ പുരുഷന്റെ തേജസ്സ് ആകുന്നു.

7. for a man, indeed, ought not to cover the head, being the image and glory of God, and a woman is the glory of a man,

8. പുരുഷന് സ്ത്രീയില്നിന്നല്ലല്ലോ സ്ത്രീ പുരുഷനില്നിന്നത്രേ ഉണ്ടായതു.

8. for a man is not of a woman, but a woman [is] of a man,

9. പുരുഷന് സ്ത്രീക്കായിട്ടല്ല സ്ത്രീ പുരുഷന്നായിട്ടല്ലോ സൃഷ്ടിക്കപ്പെട്ടതു.

9. for a man also was not created because of the woman, but a woman because of the man;

10. ആകയാല് സ്ത്രീക്കു ദൂതന്മാര് നിമിത്തം തലമേല് അധീനതാലക്ഷ്യം ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കേണം.

10. because of this the woman ought to have [a token of] authority upon the head, because of the messengers;

11. എന്നാല് കര്ത്താവില് പുരുഷനെ കൂടാതെ സ്ത്രീയുമില്ല സ്ത്രീയെ കൂടാതെ പുരുഷനുമില്ല.

11. but neither [is] a man apart from a woman, nor a woman apart from a man, in the Lord,

12. സ്ത്രീ പുരുഷനില്നിന്നു ഉണ്ടായതുപോലെ പുരുഷനും സ്ത്രീ മുഖാന്തരം ഉളവാകുന്നു; എന്നാല് സകലത്തിന്നും ദൈവം കാരണഭൂതന് .

12. for as the woman [is] of the man, so also the man [is] through the woman, and the all things [are] of God.

13. നിങ്ങള് തന്നേ വിധിപ്പിന് ; സ്ത്രീ മൂടുപടം ഇടാതെ ദൈവത്തോടു പ്രാര്ത്ഥിക്കുന്നതു യോഗ്യമോ?

13. In your own selves judge ye; is it seemly for a woman uncovered to pray to God?

14. പുരുഷന് മുടി നീട്ടിയാല് അതു അവന്നു അപമാനം എന്നും

14. doth not even nature itself teach you, that if a man indeed have long hair, a dishonour it is to him?

15. സ്ത്രീ മുടി നീട്ടിയാലോ അതു മൂടുപടത്തിന്നു പകരം നല്കിയിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു അവള്ക്കു മാനം ആകുന്നു എന്നും പ്രകൃതി തന്നേ നിങ്ങളെ പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നില്ലയോ?

15. and a woman, if she have long hair, a glory it is to her, because the hair instead of a covering hath been given to her;

16. ഒരുത്തന് തര്ക്കിപ്പാന് ഭാവിച്ചാല് അങ്ങനെയുള്ള മര്യ്യാദ ഞങ്ങള്ക്കില്ല ദൈവസഭകള്ക്കുമില്ല എന്നു ഔര്ക്കട്ടെ.

16. and if any one doth think to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the assemblies of God.

17. ഇനി ആജ്ഞാപിപ്പാന് പോകുന്നതില് ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ പുകഴ്ത്തുന്നില്ല; നിങ്ങള് കൂടിവരുന്നതിനാല് നന്മെക്കല്ല തിന്മെക്കത്രെ ഇടയാകുന്നതു.

17. And this declaring, I give no praise, because not for the better, but for the worse ye come together;

18. ഒന്നാമതു നിങ്ങള് സഭകൂടുമ്പോള് നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് ഭിന്നത ഉണ്ടെന്നു ഞാന് കേള്ക്കുന്നു; ഏതാനും വിശ്വസിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

18. for first, indeed, ye coming together in an assembly, I hear of divisions being among you, and partly I believe [it],

19. നിങ്ങളില് കൊള്ളാകുന്നവര് വെളിവാകേണ്ടതിന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് ഭിന്നപക്ഷങ്ങളും ഉണ്ടാകേണ്ടതു.

19. for it behoveth sects also to be among you, that those approved may become manifest among you;

20. നിങ്ങള് കൂടിവരുമ്പോള് കര്ത്താവിന്റെ അത്താഴമല്ല കഴിക്കുന്നതു.

20. ye, then, coming together at the same place -- it is not to eat the Lord's supper;

21. ഭക്ഷണം കഴിക്കയില് ഔരോരുത്തന് താന്താന്റെ അത്താഴം മുമ്പെ കഴിക്കുന്നു. അങ്ങനെ ഒരുവന് വിശന്നും മറ്റൊരുവന് ലഹരിപിടിച്ചും ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

21. for each his own supper doth take before in the eating, and one is hungry, and another is drunk;

22. തിന്നുവാനും കുടിപ്പാനും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വീടുകള് ഇല്ലയോ? അല്ല, ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സഭയെ നിങ്ങള് തുച്ഛീകരിച്ചു, ഇല്ലാത്തവരെ ലജ്ജിപ്പിക്കുന്നുവോ? നിങ്ങളോടു എന്തു പറയേണ്ടു? നിങ്ങളെ പുകഴ്ത്തുകയോ? ഇതില് ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ പുകഴ്ത്തുന്നില്ല.

22. why, have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or the assembly of God do ye despise, and shame those not having? what may I say to you? shall I praise you in this? I do not praise!

23. ഞാന് കര്ത്താവിങ്കല് നിന്നു പ്രാപിക്കയും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ഏല്പിക്കയും ചെയ്തതു എന്തെന്നാല്കര്ത്താവായ യേശുവിനെ കാണിച്ചുകൊടുത്ത രാത്രിയില് അവന് അപ്പം എടുത്തു സ്തോത്രം ചൊല്ലി നുറുക്കി

23. For I -- I received from the Lord that which also I did deliver to you, that the Lord Jesus in the night in which he was delivered up, took bread,

24. ഇതു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വേണ്ടിയുള്ള എന്റെ ശരീരം; എന്റെ ഔര്മ്മെക്കായി ഇതു ചെയ്വിന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

24. and having given thanks, he brake, and said, 'Take ye, eat ye, this is my body, that for you is being broken; this do ye -- to the remembrance of me.'

25. അവ്വണ്ണം തന്നേ അത്താഴം കഴിഞ്ഞശേഷം അവന് പാനപാത്രവും എടുത്തു; ഈ പാനപാത്രം എന്റെ രക്തത്തില് പുതിയനിയമം ആകുന്നു; ഇതു കുടിക്കുമ്പോഴൊക്കെയും എന്റെ ഔര്മ്മെക്കായി ചെയ്വിന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

25. In like manner also the cup after the supping, saying, 'This cup is the new covenant in my blood; this do ye, as often as ye may drink [it] -- to the remembrance of me;'

26. അങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങള് ഈ അപ്പം തിന്നുകയും പാനപാത്രം കുടിക്കയും ചെയ്യുമ്പോഴൊക്കെയും കര്ത്താവു വരുവോളം അവന്റെ മരണത്തെ പ്രസ്താവിക്കുന്നു.

26. for as often as ye may eat this bread, and this cup may drink, the death of the Lord ye do shew forth -- till he may come;

27. അതുകൊണ്ടു അയോഗ്യമായി അപ്പം തിന്നുകയോ കര്ത്താവിന്റെ പാനപാത്രം കുടിക്കയോ ചെയ്യുന്നവന് എല്ലാം കര്ത്താവിന്റെ ശരീരവും രക്തവും സംബന്ധിച്ചു കുറ്റക്കാരന് ആകും.

27. so that whoever may eat this bread or may drink the cup of the Lord unworthily, guilty he shall be of the body and blood of the Lord:

28. മനുഷ്യന് തന്നെത്താന് ശോധന ചെയ്തിട്ടുവേണം ഈ അപ്പം തിന്നുകയും പാനപാത്രത്തില്നിന്നു കുടിക്കയും ചെയ്വാന് .

28. and let a man be proving himself, and so of the bread let him eat, and of the cup let him drink;

29. തിന്നുകയും കുടിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നവന് ശരീരത്തെ വിവേചിക്കാഞ്ഞാല് തനിക്കു ശിക്ഷാവിധി തിന്നുകയും കുടിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

29. for he who is eating and drinking unworthily, judgment to himself he doth eat and drink -- not discerning the body of the Lord.

30. ഇതുഹേതുവായി നിങ്ങളില് പലരും ബലഹീനരും രോഗികളും ആകുന്നു; അനേകരും നിദ്രകൊള്ളുന്നു.

30. Because of this, among you many [are] weak and sickly, and sleep do many;

31. നാം നമ്മെത്തന്നേ വിധിച്ചാല് വിധിക്കപ്പെടുകയില്ല.

31. for if ourselves we were discerning, we would not be being judged,

32. വിധിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു എങ്കിലോ നാം ലോകത്തോടുകൂടെ ശിക്ഷാവിധിയില് അകപ്പെടാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു കര്ത്താവു നമ്മെ ബാലശിക്ഷ കഴിക്കയാകുന്നു.

32. and being judged by the Lord, we are chastened, that with the world we may not be condemned;

33. ആകയാല് സഹോദരന്മാരേ, നിങ്ങള് ഭക്ഷണം കഴിപ്പാന് കൂടുമ്പോള് അന്യോന്യം കാത്തിരിപ്പിന് .

33. so then, my brethren, coming together to eat, for one another wait ye;

34. വല്ലവന്നും വിശക്കുന്നു എങ്കില് നിങ്ങള് ഒരുമിച്ചു കൂടുന്നതു ന്യായവിധിക്കു ഹേതുവാകാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന് വീട്ടില്വെച്ചു ഭക്ഷണം കഴിക്കട്ടെ. ശേഷം കാര്യ്യങ്ങളെ ഞാന് വന്നിട്ടു ക്രമപ്പെടുത്തും.

34. and if any one is hungry, at home let him eat, that to judgment ye may not come together; and the rest, whenever I may come, I shall arrange.
