1. എന്നാല് സഹോദരന്മാരേ, നിങ്ങളോടു എനിക്കു ആത്മികന്മാരോടു എന്നപോലെ അല്ല, ജഡികന്മാരോടു എന്നപോലെ, ക്രിസ്തുവില് ശിശുക്കളായവരോടു എന്നപോലെ അത്രേ സംസാരിപ്പാന് കഴിഞ്ഞുള്ളു.

1. And the teaching I gave you, my brothers, was such as I was able to give, not to those who have the Spirit, but to those who are still in the flesh, even to children in Christ.

2. ഭക്ഷണമല്ല, പാല് അത്രേ ഞാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തന്നതു; ഭക്ഷിപ്പാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു കഴിവില്ലായിരുന്നു; ഇപ്പോഴും കഴിവായിട്ടില്ല; ഇന്നും നിങ്ങള് ജഡികന്മാരല്ലോ.

2. I gave you milk and not meat, because you were, then, unable to take it, and even now you are not able;

3. നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് ഈര്ഷ്യയും പിണക്കവും ഇരിക്കെ, നിങ്ങള് ജഡികന്മാരും ശേഷം മനുഷ്യരെപ്പോലെ നടക്കുന്നവരുമല്ലയോ?

3. Because you are still in the flesh: for when there is envy and division among you, are you not still walking after the way of the flesh, even as natural men?

4. ഒരുത്തന് ഞാന് പൌലൊസിന്റെ പക്ഷക്കാരന് എന്നും മറ്റൊരുത്തന് ഞാന് അപ്പൊല്ലോസിന്റെ പക്ഷക്കാരന് എന്നും പറയുമ്പോള് നിങ്ങള് സാധാരണമനുഷ്യരല്ലയോ?

4. For when one says, I am of Paul; and another says, I am of Apollos; are you not talking like natural men?

5. അപ്പൊല്ലോസ് ആര്? പൌലൊസ് ആര്? തങ്ങള്ക്കു കര്ത്താവു നല്കിയതുപോലെ നിങ്ങള് വിശ്വസിപ്പാന് കാരണമായിത്തീര്ന്ന ശുശ്രൂഷക്കാരത്രേ.

5. What then is Apollos? and what is Paul? They are but servants who gave you the good news as God gave it to them.

6. ഞാന് നട്ടു, അപ്പൊല്ലോസ് നനെച്ചു, ദൈവമത്രേ വളരുമാറാക്കിയതു.

6. I did the planting, Apollos did the watering, but God gave the increase.

7. ആകയാല് വളരുമാറാക്കുന്ന ദൈവമല്ലാതെ നടുന്നവനും നനെക്കുന്നവനും ഏതുമില്ല.

7. So then the planter is nothing, and the waterer is nothing; but God who gives the increase.

8. നടുന്നവനും നനെക്കുന്നവനും ഒരുപോലെ; ഔരോരുത്തന്നു താന്താന്റെ അദ്ധ്വാനത്തിന്നു ഒത്തവണ്ണം കൂലി കിട്ടും.

8. Now the planter and the waterer are working for the same end: but they will have their separate rewards in the measure of their work.

9. ഞങ്ങള് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ കൂട്ടുവേലക്കാര്; നിങ്ങള് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ കൃഷി, ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ഗൃഹനിര്മ്മാണം.

9. For we are workers with God: you are God's planting, God's building.

10. എനിക്കു ലഭിച്ച ദൈവകൃപെക്കു ഒത്തവണ്ണം ഞാന് ജ്ഞാനമുള്ളോരു പ്രധാനശില്പിയായി അടിസ്ഥാനം ഇട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; മറ്റൊരുത്തന് മീതെ പണിയുന്നു; താന് എങ്ങനെ പണിയുന്നു എന്നു ഔരോരുത്തനും നോക്കിക്കൊള്ളട്ടെ.

10. In the measure of the grace given to me, I, as a wise master-builder, have put the base in position, and another goes on building on it. But let every man take care what he puts on it.

11. യേശുക്രിസ്തു എന്ന ഇട്ടിരിക്കുന്ന അടിസ്ഥാനമല്ലാതെ മറ്റൊന്നു ഇടുവാന് ആര്ക്കും കഴികയില്ല.

11. For there is no other base for the building but that which has been put down, which is Jesus Christ.

12. ആ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിന്മേല് ആരെങ്കിലും പൊന്നു, വെള്ളി, വിലയേറിയ കല്ലു, മരം, പുല്ലു, വൈക്കോല് എന്നിവ പണിയുന്നു എങ്കില് അവനവന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തി വെളിപ്പെട്ടുവരും;

12. But on the base a man may put gold, silver, stones of great price, wood, dry grass, cut stems;

13. ആ ദിവസം അതിനെ തെളിവാക്കും; അതു തീയോടെ വെളിപ്പെട്ടുവരും; ഔരോരുത്തന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തി ഇന്നവിധം എന്നു തീ തന്നേ ശോധന ചെയ്യും.

13. Every man's work will be made clear in that day, because it will be tested by fire; and the fire itself will make clear the quality of every man's work.

14. ഒരുത്തന് പണിത പ്രവൃത്തി നിലനിലക്കും എങ്കില് അവന്നു പ്രതിഫലം കിട്ടും.

14. If any man's work comes through the test, he will have a reward.

15. ഒരുത്തന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തി വെന്തുപോയെങ്കില് അവന്നു ചേതം വരും; താനോ രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടും; എന്നാല് തീയില്കൂടി എന്നപോലെ അത്രേ.

15. If the fire puts an end to any man's work, it will be his loss: but he will get salvation himself, though as by fire.

16. നിങ്ങള് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മന്ദിരം എന്നും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആത്മാവു നിങ്ങളില് വസിക്കുന്നു എന്നും അറിയുന്നില്ലയോ?

16. Do you not see that you are God's holy house, and that the Spirit of God has his place in you?

17. ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മന്ദിരം നശിപ്പിക്കുന്നവനെ ദൈവം നശിപ്പിക്കും; ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മന്ദിരം വിശുദ്ധമല്ലോ; നിങ്ങളും അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ.

17. If anyone makes the house of God unclean, God will put an end to him; for the house of God is holy, and you are his house.

18. ആരും തന്നെത്താന് വഞ്ചിക്കരുതു; താന് ഈ ലോകത്തില് ജ്ഞാനി എന്നു നിങ്ങളില് ആര്ക്കെങ്കിലും തോന്നിയാല് അവന് ജ്ഞാനിയാകേണ്ടതിന്നു ഭോഷനായിത്തീരട്ടെ.

18. Let no man have a false idea. If any man seems to himself to be wise among you, let him become foolish, so that he may be wise.

19. ഈ ലോകത്തിന്റെ ജ്ഞാനം ദൈവസന്നിധിയില് ഭോഷത്വമത്രേ. “അവന് ജ്ഞാനികളെ അവരുടെ കൌശലത്തില് പിടിക്കുന്നു” എന്നും
ഇയ്യോബ് 5:13

19. For the wisdom of this world is foolish before God. As it is said in the holy Writings, He who takes the wise in their secret designs:

20. “കര്ത്താവു ജ്ഞാനികളുടെ വിചാരം വ്യര്ത്ഥം എന്നറിയുന്നു” എന്നും എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

20. And again, The Lord has knowledge of the reasonings of the wise, that they are nothing.

21. ആകയാല് ആരും മനുഷ്യരില് പ്രശംസിക്കരുതു; സകലവും നിങ്ങള്ക്കുള്ളതല്ലോ.

21. So let no one take pride in men. For all things are yours;

22. പൌലൊസോ, അപ്പൊല്ലൊസോ, കേഫാവോ, ലോകമോ, ജീവനോ, മരണമോ, ഇപ്പോഴുള്ളതോ, വരുവാനുള്ളതോ സകലവും നിങ്ങള്ക്കുള്ളതു.

22. Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours;

23. നിങ്ങളോ ക്രിസ്തുവിന്നുള്ളവര്; ക്രിസ്തു ദൈവത്തിന്നുള്ളവന് .

23. And you are Christ's; and Christ is God's.
