1. ഏഴേഴു ആണ്ടു കൂടുമ്പോള് നീ ഒരു വിമോചനം ആചരിക്കേണം.

1. At the end of seven years, shalt thou make a release.

2. വിമോചനത്തിന്റെ ക്രമം എന്തെന്നാല്കൂട്ടുകാരന്നു വായിപ്പകൊടുത്തവനെല്ലാം അതു ഇളെച്ചു കൊടുക്കേണം. യഹോവയുടെ വിമോചനം പ്രസിദ്ധമാക്കിയതുകൊണ്ടു നീ കൂട്ടുകാരനെയോ സഹോദരനെയോ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടിക്കരുതു.

2. And, this, shall be the manner of the release, Every creditor who lendeth aught to his neighbour, his hand shall release it, he shall not exact it of his neighbour or his brother, because there hath been proclaimed a release unto Yahweh.

3. അന്യജാതിക്കാരനോടു നിനക്കു മുട്ടിച്ചു പിരിക്കാം; എന്നാല് നിന്റെ സഹോദരന് തരുവാനുള്ളതു നീ ഇളെച്ചുകൊടുക്കേണം.

3. Of a foreigner, thou mayest exact it, but, what thou hast with thy brother, thy hand shall release;

4. ദരിദ്രന് നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് ഉണ്ടാകയില്ലതാനും; നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ വാക്കു നീ ശ്രദ്ധയോടെ കേട്ടു ഇന്നു ഞാന് നിന്നോടു ആജ്ഞാപിക്കുന്ന സകല കല്പനകളും പ്രമാണിച്ചുനടന്നാല്

4. save, when there shall be among you no needy person, for Yahweh will indeed bless, thee, in the land which Yahweh thy God is giving unto thee as an inheritance to possess it:

5. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു അവകാശമായി കൈവശമാക്കുവാന് തരുന്ന ദേശത്തു നിന്നെ ഏറ്റവും അനുഗ്രഹിക്കും.

5. only if thou do hearken unto the voice of Yahweh thy God, to observe to do all this commandment which I am commanding time to-day.

6. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു വാഗ്ദത്തം ചെയ്തതുപോലെ നിന്നെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു നീ അനേകം ജാതികള്ക്കു വായിപ്പ കൊടുക്കും; എന്നാല് നീ വായിപ്പ വാങ്ങുകയില്ല; നീ അനേകം ജാതികളെ ഭരിക്കും; എന്നാല് അവര് നിന്നെ ഭരിക്കയില്ല.

6. When, Yahweh thy God, hath blessed thee, as he spake unto thee, then shalt thou lead unto many nations but thou, shalt not borrow, and, thou shalt rule over many nations but over thee, shall they not rule.

7. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു തരുന്ന ദേശത്തു ഏതു പട്ടണത്തിലെങ്കിലും ദരിദ്രനായ സഹോദരന് നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് ഉണ്ടെങ്കില് ദരിദ്രനായ സഹോദരന്റെ നേരെ നിന്റെ ഹൃദയം കഠിനമാക്കാതെയും കൈ അടെക്കാതെയും,

7. When there cometh to be among you a needy person any one of thy brethren within any one of thy gates, in thy land, which Yahweh thy God is giving unto thee, thou shalt not harden thy heart nor shut thy hand from thy needy brother;

8. നിന്റെ കൈ അവന്നുവേണ്ടി തുറന്നു അവന്നു വന്ന ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടിന്നു ആവശ്യമായതു വായിപ്പ കൊടുക്കേണം.

8. but thou shalt, open, thy hand unto him, and, lend, him enough to meet the poverty which doth impoverish him.

9. വിമോചനസംവത്സരമായ ഏഴാം ആണ്ടു അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നിങ്ങനെ നിന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തില് ഒരു ദുര്വ്വിചാരം തോന്നുകയും ദരിദ്രനായ സഹോദരനോടു നിന്റെ കണ്ണു നിര്ദ്ദയമായിരുന്നു അവന്നു ഒന്നും കൊടുക്കാതിരിക്കയും അവന് നിനക്കു വിരോധമായി യഹോവയോടു നിലവിളിച്ചിട്ടു അതു നിനക്കു പാപമായി തീരുകയും ചെയ്യാതിരിപ്പാന് സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊള്ക.

9. Take thou heed to thyself lest there be something near thine abandoned heart, saying Drawing nigh, is the seventh year the year of release, and so thine eye be evil, against thy needy brother, and thou give not unto him, and he cry out against thee unto Yahweh, and it become in thee a sin!

10. നീ അവന്നു കൊടുത്തേ മതിയാവു; കൊടുക്കുമ്പോള് ഹൃദയത്തില് വ്യസനം തോന്നരുതു; നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്റെ സകലപ്രവൃത്തികളിലും സകലപ്രയത്നത്തിലും അതുനിമിത്തം നിന്നെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കും.

10. Thou shalt, give, unto him, and thy heart shall not be evil when thou givest unto him, for on account of this very thing, will Yahweh thy God bless thee, in all that thou doest and in all whereunto thou puttest thy hand.

11. ദരിദ്രന് ദേശത്തു അറ്റുപോകയില്ല; അതുകൊണ്ടു നിന്റെ ദേശത്തു അഗതിയും ദരിദ്രനുമായ നിന്റെ സഹോദരന്നു നിന്റെ കൈ മനസ്സോടെ തുറന്നു കൊടുക്കേണമെന്നു ഞാന് നിന്നോടു ആജ്ഞാപിക്കുന്നു.

11. For the needy will not cease out of the midst of the land for this cause, am I commanding thee, saying, Thou shalt open, thy hand unto thy brother to thy poor and to thy needy, in thy land.

12. നിന്റെ സഹോദരനായ ഒരു എബ്രായപുരുഷനോ എബ്രായസ്ത്രീയോ നിനക്കു തന്നെത്താന് വിറ്റിട്ടു ആറു സംവത്സരം നിന്നെ സേവിച്ചാല് ഏഴാം സംവത്സരത്തില് നീ അവനെ സ്വതന്ത്രനായി വിട്ടയക്കേണം.

12. When thy brother a Hebrew man (or a Hebrew woman) selleth himself unto thee, then shall he serve thee six years, and in the seventh year, shalt thou let him go out free from thee;

13. അവനെ സ്വതന്ത്രനായി വിട്ടയക്കുമ്പോള് അവനെ വെറുങ്കയ്യായിട്ടു അയക്കരുതു.

13. and when thou lettest him go out free, from thee, thou shalt not let him go out empty:

14. നിന്റെ ആട്ടിന് കൂട്ടത്തില്നിന്നും കളത്തില്നിന്നും മുന്തിരിച്ചക്കില്നിന്നും അവന്നു ഔദാര്യമായി ദാനം ചെയ്യേണം; നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്നെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചതുപോലെ നീ അവന്നു കൊടുക്കേണം.

14. thou shalt, richly load, him out of thy flock, and out of thy threshing-floor and out of thy wine-vat, of that wherewith Yahweh thy God hath blessed thee, shalt thou give unto him;

15. നീ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു അടിമയായിരുന്നു എന്നും നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്നെ വീണ്ടെടുത്തു എന്നും ഔര്ക്കേണം. അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാന് ഇന്നു ഈ കാര്യം നിന്നോടു ആജ്ഞാപിക്കുന്നു.

15. and thou shalt remember that a servant, thou wast in the land of Egypt, and that Yahweh thy God, redeemed thee, for this cause, am I commanding thee this thing, to-day.

16. എന്നാല് അവന് നിന്നെയും നിന്റെ കുടുംബത്തെയും സ്നേഹിക്കകൊണ്ടും നിന്റെ അടുക്കല് അവന്നു സുഖമുള്ളതുകൊണ്ടുംഞാന് നിന്നെ വിട്ടുപോകയില്ല എന്നു നിന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞാല്

16. And it shall be, if he shall say unto thee, I will not go away from thee, because he loveth thee, and thy household, because he is well off with thee,

17. നീ ഒരു സൂചി എടുത്തു അവന്റെ കാതു വാതിലിനോടു ചേര്ത്തു കുത്തി തുളെക്കേണം; പിന്നെ അവന് എന്നും നിനക്കു ദാസനായിരിക്കേണം; നിന്റെ ദാസിക്കും അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ ചെയ്യേണം.

17. then shalt thou take an awl and thrust it through his ear unto the door, so shall he be thy servant all his life. And unto thine handmaid also, shalt thou do thus.

18. അവന് ഒരു കൂലിക്കാരന്റെ ഇരട്ടിക്കൂലിക്കു തക്കതായി ആറു സംവത്സരം നിന്നെ സേവിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു അവനെ സ്വതന്ത്രനായി വിട്ടയക്കുമ്പോള് നിനക്കു വ്യസനം തോന്നരുതു; നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നീ ചെയ്യുന്ന സകലത്തിലും നിന്നെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കും.

18. It shall not be hard in thine eyes when thou lettest him go out free, from thee; for to the double of the hire of a hireling, hath he served thee six years, -so will Yahweh thy God bless thee, in all that thou doest.

19. നിന്റെ മാടുകളിലും ആടുകളിലും കടിഞ്ഞൂലായി പിറക്കുന്ന ആണിനെ ഒക്കെയും നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേക്കു ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കേണം; നിന്റെ മാടുകളുടെ കടിഞ്ഞൂലിനെക്കൊണ്ടു വേല ചെയ്യിക്കരുതു; നിന്റെ ആടുകളുടെ കടിഞ്ഞൂലിന്റെ രോമം കത്രിക്കയും അരുതു.

19. Every firstling that is brought forth in thy herd and in thy flock that is a male, shalt thou hallow unto Yahweh thy God, thou shalt not work with a firstling of thine oxen, neither shalt thou shear a firstling of thy flock:

20. യഹോവ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തു നീയും നിന്റെ കുടുംബവും നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് വെച്ചു അതിനെ ആണ്ടുതോറും തിന്നേണം.

20. before Yahweh thy God, shalt thou eat it year by year, in the place which Yahweh shall choose, thou, and thy households.

21. എന്നാല് അതിന്നു മുടന്തോ കുരുടോ ഇങ്ങനെ വല്ല ഊനവും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നാല് നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേക്കു അതിനെ യാഗം കഴിക്കരുതു.

21. But, when there is in it any blemish, lameness or blindness, any ill blemish, thou shalt not sacrifice it unto Yahweh thy God:

22. നിന്റെ പട്ടണങ്ങളില്വെച്ചു അതു തിന്നാം; പുള്ളിമാനിനെയും കലമാനിനെയുംപോലെ അശുദ്ധനും ശുദ്ധനും ഒരുപോലെ തിന്നാം.

22. within thine own gates, mayest thou eat it, the unclean of you and the clean alike, as the gazelle and as the hart.

23. അതിന്റെ രക്തം മാത്രം തിന്നരുതു; അതു വെള്ളംപോലെ നിലത്തു ഒഴിച്ചുകളയേണം.

23. Only the blood thereof, shalt thou not eat, on the earth, shalt thou pour it out like water.
