1. ആകശാമേ, ചെവിതരിക; ഞാന് സംസാരിക്കും; ഭൂമി എന്റെ വായിന് വാക്കുകളെ കേള്ക്കട്ടെ.

1. Give ear, O heavens, and I will speak. And hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.

2. My doctrine shall drop as the rain; my speech shall drop down as the dew, as the small rain on the tender plant, and as the showers on the grass;

3. ഞാന് യഹോവയുടെ നാമം ഘോഷിക്കും; നമ്മുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്നു മഹത്വം കൊടുപ്പിന് .

3. because I will proclaim the name of Jehovah and ascribe greatness to our God.

4. He is the Rock; His work is perfect. For all His ways are just, a God of faithfulness, and without evil; just and upright is He.

5. They have corrupted themselves; they are not His sons; it is their blemish; they are a crooked and perverse generation.

6. Do you thus give back to Jehovah, O foolish and unwise people? Is He not your Father who bought you? Has not He made you and established you?

7. Remember the ancient days, consider the years of many generations; ask your father, and he will declare to you, your elders, and they shall say to you;

8. when the Most High divided to the nations their inheritance; when He separated the sons of Adam, He set up the bounds of the peoples, according to the number of the sons of Israel.

9. For Jehovah's portion is His people; Jacob is the lot of His inheritance.

10. He found him in a desert land, and in the waste, a howling wilderness. He encircled him and cared for him; He guarded him as the pupil of His eye.

11. As the eagle stirs up its nest; it hovers over its young; it spreads out its wings and takes it, and bears it on its wing.

12. Jehovah alone led him, and there was no strange god with him.

13. അവന് ഭൂമിയുടെ ഉന്നതങ്ങളില് അവനെ വാഹനമേറ്റി; നിലത്തെ അനുഭവംകൊണ്ടു അവന് ഉപജീവിച്ചു. അവനെ പാറയില്നിന്നു തേനും തീക്കല്ലില്നിന്നു എണ്ണയും കുടിപ്പിച്ചു.

13. He made him ride on the high places of the earth, so that he might eat the increase of the fields. And He made him suck honey out of the rock, and oil out of the flinty rock;

14. butter from cows, and milk from the flock, with fat from lambs, and rams of the sons of Bashan, and he goats, with the fat of the kidneys of wheat, and of the blood of the grape you shall drink wine.

15. യെശൂരൂനോ പുഷ്ടിവെച്ചു ഉതെച്ചു; നീ പുഷ്ടിവെച്ചു കനത്തു തടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. തന്നെ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ ദൈവത്തെ അവന് ത്യജിച്ചു തന്റെ രക്ഷയുടെ പാറയെ നിരസിച്ചു.

15. But Jeshurun grew fat, and kicked; you grew fat, thick and sated. And he abandoned God who made him, and fell away from the Rock of his salvation.

16. With strange gods they moved Him to jealousy; and with idols they provoked Him to anger.

17. They sacrificed to demons who were not God, to gods whom they did not know, new ones who came lately. Your fathers had not dreaded them.

18. You forgot the Rock that brought you into being and ceased to care for God who formed you.

19. And Jehovah looked and despised them because of the provocation of His sons and of His daughters.

21. They made Me jealous with a not-a-god; they made Me angry by their vanities; and I shall make them jealous by a not-a-people; by a foolish nation I shall make them angry.

22. For a fire has been kindled in My anger, and it burns to the lowest Sheol, and consumes the earth and its produce; and sets on fire the foundations of the mountains.

23. I will heap evils on them; I will use up My arrows on them.

24. അവര് വിശപ്പുകൊണ്ടു ക്ഷയിക്കും; ഉഷ്ണരോഗത്തിന്നും വിഷവ്യാധിക്കും ഇരയാകും. മൃഗങ്ങളുടെ പല്ലും പന്നഗങ്ങളുടെ വിഷവും ഞാന് അവരുടെ ഇടയില് അയക്കും.

24. I will send on them exhaustion by famine, and depletion by burning heat, and bitter destruction, and the teeth of beasts, with the venom of crawling things of the dust.

25. വീഥികളില് വാളും അറകളില് ഭീതിയും യുവാവിനെയും യുവതിയെയും ശിശുവിനെയും നരച്ചവനെയും സംഹരിക്കും.

25. The sword shall bereave from without, and terror from within, both the young man and the virgin, the suckling with the man of gray hairs.

26. ഞങ്ങളുടെ കൈ ജയംകൊണ്ടു; യഹോവയല്ല ഇതൊക്കെയും ചെയ്തതു എന്നു അവരുടെ വൈരികള് തെറ്റായി വിചാരിക്കയും ശത്രു എനിക്കു ക്രോധം വരുത്തുകയും ചെയ്യും എന്നു ഞാന് ശങ്കിച്ചിരുന്നില്ലെങ്കില്,

26. I said, I will dash them to pieces; I will make their memory cease from among men;

27. ഞാന് അവരെ ഊതിക്കളഞ്ഞു, മനുഷ്യരില്നിന്നു അവരുടെ ഔര്മ്മ ഇല്ലാതാക്കുമായിരുന്നു.

27. saying, Were it not the provocation of an enemy I feared, that their foes should judge amiss, that they might not say, Our hand is high, and Jehovah has not done all this.

28. അവര് ആലോചനയില്ലാത്ത ജാതി; അവര്ക്കും വിവേകബുദ്ധിയില്ല.

28. For they are a nation void of counsel, and no understanding is in them.

29. ഹാ, അവര് ജ്ഞാനികളായി ഇതു ഗ്രഹിച്ചു തങ്ങളുടെ ഭവിഷ്യം ചിന്തിച്ചെങ്കില് കൊള്ളായിരുന്നു.

29. If they were wise, they would understand this; they would consider their latter end.

30. How could one chase a thousand, and two put a myriad to flight, if it were not their Rock that sold them, and Jehovah had shut them up?

31. അവരുടെ പാറ നമ്മുടെ പാറപോലെയല്ല, അതിന്നു നമ്മുടെ ശത്രുക്കള് തന്നേ സാക്ഷികള്.

31. For their rock is not our Rock, even our enemies being judges.

32. അവരുടെ മുന്തിരിവള്ളി സൊദോംവള്ളിയില്നിന്നും ഗൊമോരനിലങ്ങളില്നിന്നും ഉള്ളതു; അവരുടെ മുന്തിരിപ്പഴം നഞ്ചും മുന്തിരിക്കുല കൈപ്പുമാകുന്നു;

32. For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, and their grapes of the fields of Gomorrah, grapes of gall; they have bitter clusters.

33. അവരുടെ വീഞ്ഞു മഹാസര്പ്പത്തിന് വിഷവും മൂര്ഖന്റെ കാളകൂടവും ആകുന്നു.

33. Their wine is the venom of serpents, and the cruel venom of asps.

34. ഇതു എന്റെ അടുക്കല് സംഗ്രഹിച്ചും എന് ഭണ്ഡാരത്തില് മുദ്രയിട്ടും ഇരിക്കുന്നില്ലയോ?

34. Is it not stored up with Me, sealed in My treasuries?

35. അവരുടെ കാല് വഴുതുങ്കാലത്തേക്കു പ്രതികാരവും പ്രതിഫലവും എന്റെ പക്കല് ഉണ്ടു; അവരുടെ അനര്ത്ഥദിവസം അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; അവര്ക്കും ഭവിപ്പാനുള്ളതു ബദ്ധപ്പെടുന്നു.

35. Vengeance and retribution belong to Me; in due time their foot will slip; for the day of their calamity is near, and the things prepared are hurrying for them.

36. For Jehovah will bring His people justice; and He shall have compassion on His servants, for He sees that their power is gone, and only the imprisoned and abandoned remain.

37. And He will say, Where are their gods, the rock in which they sought refuge?

38. Who ate the fat of their sacrifices, and drank the wine of their drink offerings? Let them rise up and help you; let it be a hiding place for you.

39. ഞാന് , ഞാന് മാത്രമേയുള്ളു; ഞാനല്ലാതെ ദൈവമില്ല എന്നു ഇപ്പോള് കണ്ടുകൊള്വിന് . ഞാന് കൊല്ലുന്നു; ഞാന് ജീവിപ്പിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് തകര്ക്കുംന്നു; ഞാന് സൌഖ്യമാക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ കയ്യില്നിന്നു വിടുവിക്കുന്നവന് ഇല്ല.

39. See now that I, I am He, and there is no other God with Me. I kill, and I keep alive. I wound and I heal, and there is no deliverer from My hand.

41. If I have sharpened My glittering sword, and My hand lays hold on judgment, I will render vengeance to My foes, and I will repay those who hate Me.

42. ഹതന്മാരുടെയും ബദ്ധന്മാരുടെയും രക്തത്താലും, ശത്രുനായകന്മാരുടെ ശിരസ്സില്നിന്നു ഒലിക്കുന്നതിനാലും ഞാന് എന്റെ അസ്ത്രങ്ങളെ ലഹരിപ്പിക്കും എന്റെ വാള് മാംസം തിന്നുകയും ചെയ്യും.

42. I will make My arrows drunk with blood, and My sword shall devour flesh, with the blood of the slain and of the captives, from the hairy head of the enemy.

43. Rejoice, O nations, of His people; for He shall avenge the blood of His servants, and shall render vengeance to His foes, and shall have mercy on His land and His people.

44. അനന്തരം മോശെയും നൂന്റെ മകനായ യോശുവയും വന്നു ഈ പാട്ടിന്റെ വചനങ്ങള് ഒക്കെയും ജനത്തെ ചൊല്ലിക്കേള്പ്പിച്ചു.

44. And Moses came and spoke all the words of this song in the ears of the people, he and Joshua the son of Nun.

45. മോശെ ഈ സകലവചനങ്ങളും എല്ലായിസ്രായേലിനോടും സംസാരിച്ചുതീര്ന്നപ്പോള് അവന് അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു

45. And Moses finished speaking all these words to all Israel,

46. ഈ ന്യായപ്രാമണത്തിലെ വചനങ്ങള് ഒക്കെയും പ്രമാണിച്ചു നടക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളുടെ മക്കളോടു കല്പിപ്പാന്തക്കവണ്ണം ഞാന് ഇന്നു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു സാക്ഷീകരിക്കുന്ന സകല വചനങ്ങളും മനസ്സില് വെച്ചുകൊള്വിന് .

46. and said to them, Set your heart on all the words which I have testified against you today, that you command your sons to take heed to do all the Words of this Law.

47. ഇതു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വ്യര്ത്ഥകാര്യമല്ല, നിങ്ങളുടെ ജീവന് തന്നേ ആകുന്നു; നിങ്ങള് കൈവശമാക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു യോര്ദ്ദാന് കടന്നു ചെല്ലുന്നദേശത്തു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ഇതിനാല് ദീര്ഘായുസ്സുണ്ടാകും.

47. For it is not a useless Word for you, for it is your life, and by this Word you shall prolong your days in the land where you are crossing over the Jordan, there to possess it.

48. അന്നു തന്നേ യഹോവ മോശെയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു

48. And Jehovah spoke to Moses in that same day, saying,

49. നീ യെരീഹോവിന്നെതിരെ മോവാബ് ദേശത്തുള്ള ഈ അബാരീംപര്വ്വതത്തില് നെബോമലമുകളില് കയറി ഞാന് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള്ക്കു അവകാശമായി കൊടുക്കുന്ന കനാന് ദേശത്തെ നോക്കി കാണ്ക.

49. Go up into this Mount Abarim, to Mount Nebo in the land of Moab, which is opposite Jericho; and see the land of Canaan which I am giving to the sons of Israel for a possession;

50. നിന്റെ സഹോദരനായ അഹരോന് ഹോര് പര്വ്വതത്തില് വെച്ചു മരിച്ചു തന്റെ ജനത്തോടു ചേര്ന്നതുപോലെ നീ കയറുന്ന പര്വ്വതത്തില്വെച്ചു നീയും മരിച്ചു നിന്റെ ജനത്തോടു ചേരും.

50. and die in the mountain where you are going, and be gathered to your people, even as your brother Aaron died on Mount Hor, and was gathered to his people;

51. നിങ്ങള് സീന് മരുഭൂമിയില് കാദേശിലെ കലഹജലത്തിങ്കല് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ മദ്ധ്യേവെച്ചു എന്നോടു അകൃത്യം ചെയ്കകൊണ്ടും യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ മദ്ധ്യേവെച്ചു എന്നെ ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കായ്കകൊണ്ടുംതന്നേ.

51. because you transgressed toward Me among the sons of Israel at the Waters of Strife in Kadesh, in the wilderness of Zin; because you did not sanctify Me in the midst of the sons of Israel.

52. നീ ദേശത്തെ നിന്റെ മുമ്പില് കാണും; എങ്കിലും ഞാന് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള്ക്കു കൊടുക്കുന്ന ദേശത്തു നീ കടക്കയില്ല.

52. Yet you shall see the land across from you, but you shall not go in there to the land which I am giving to the sons of Israel.
