1. അനന്തരം മോശെ മോവാബ് സമഭൂമിയില്നിന്നു യെരീഹോവിന്നെതിരെയുള്ള നെബോപര്വ്വതത്തില് ‌പിസ്ഗാമുകളില് കയറി; യഹോവ ദാന്വരെ ഗിലെയാദ് ദേശം ഒക്കെയും

1. And Moses went up from the plains of Moab unto mount Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, that is over against Jericho. And the LORD shewed him all the land of Gilead, unto Dan;

2. നഫ്താലിദേശമൊക്കെയും എഫ്രയീമിന്റെയും മനശ്ശെയുടെയും ദേശവും പടിഞ്ഞാറെ കടല്വരെ യെഹൂദാദേശം ഒക്കെയും

2. and all Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah, unto the hinder sea;

3. തെക്കെദേശവും ഈന്തനഗരമായ യെരീഹോവിന്റെ താഴ്വീതിമുതല്‌ സോവാര്വരെയുള്ള സമഭൂമിയും അവനെ കാണിച്ചു.

3. and the South, and the Plain of the valley of Jericho the city of palm trees, unto Zoar.

4. അബ്രാഹാമിനോടും യിസ്ഹാക്കിനോടും യാക്കോബിനോടുംഞാന് നിന്റെ സന്തതികൂ കൊടുകൂമെന്നു സത്യംചെയ്ത ദേശം ഇതു തന്നേ; ഞാന് അതു നിന്റെ കണ്ണിന്നു കാണിച്ചു തന്നു; എന്നാല് നീ അവിടേകൂ കടന്നുപോകയില്ല എന്നു യഹോവ അവനോടു കല്പിച്ചു.

4. And the LORD said unto him, This is the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying, I will give it unto thy seed: I have caused thee to see it with thine eyes, but thou shalt not go over thither.

5. അങ്ങനെ യഹോവയുടെ ദാസനായ മോശെ യഹോവയുടെ വചനപ്രകാരം അവിടെ മോവാബ് ദേശത്തുവെച്ചു മരിച്ചു.

5. So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD.

6. അവന് അവനെ മോവാബ് ദേശത്തു ബെത്ത് പെയോരിന്നെതിരെയുള്ള താഴ്വരയില് അടക്കി; എങ്കിലും ഇന്നുവരെയും അവന്റെ ശവകൂഴിയുടെ സ്ഥലം ആരും അറിയുന്നില്ല.

6. And he buried him in the valley in the land of Moab over against Bethpeor: but no man knoweth of his sepulchre unto this day.

7. മോശെ മരികൂമ്പോള് അവന്നു നൂറ്റിരുപതു വയസ്സായിരുന്നുന്ന അവന്റെ കണ്ണു മങ്ങാതെയും അന്റെ ദേഹബലം ക്ഷയിക്കാതെയും ഇരുന്നു.

7. And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated.

8. യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് മോശെയെകൂറിച്ചു മോവാബ് സമഭൂമിയില് മുപ്പതുദിവസം കരഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു; അങ്ങനെ മോശെയെകൂറിച്ചു കരഞ്ഞു വിലപികൂന്ന കാലം തികഞ്ഞു.

8. And the children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days: so the days of weeping in the mourning for Moses were ended.

9. നൂന്റെ മകനായ യോശുവയെ മോശെ കൈവെച്ചനുഗ്രഹിച്ചിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു അവന്‌ ജ്ഞാനാത്മപൂര്ണ്ണനായ്തീര്ന്നു; യഹോവ മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് അവനെ അനുസരിച്ചു.

9. And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him: and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as the LORD commanded Moses.

10. എന്നാല് മിസ്രയീം ദേശത്തു ഫറവോനോടും അവന്റെ സകല ഭൃത്യന്മാരോടും അവന്റെ സര്വ്വദേശത്തോടും ചെയ്വാന് യഹോവ മോശെയെ നിയോഗിച്ചയച്ച സകല അത്ഭുതങ്ങളും ഭുജവീര്യവും

10. And there hath not arisen a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face;

11. എല്ലായിസ്രായേലും കാണ്‌കെ മോശെ പ്രവര്‌ത്തിച്ച ഭയങ്കര കാര്യമൊക്കെയും വിചാരിച്ചാല്

11. in all the signs and the wonders, which the LORD sent him to do in the land of Egypt, to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land;

12. യഹോവ അഭിമുഖമായി അറിഞ്ഞ മോശെയെപ്പോലെ ഒരു പ്രവാചകന് യിസ്രായേലില് പിന്നെ ഉണ്ടായിട്ടില്ല.

12. and in all the mighty hand, and in all the great terror, which Moses wrought in the sight of all Israel.
