1. ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിന്റെ ദാസന്മാരായ പൌലോസും തിമൊഥെയോസും ഫിലിപ്പിയില് ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിലുള്ള സകല വിശുദ്ധന്മാര്ക്കും അദ്ധ്യക്ഷന്മാര്ക്കും ശുശ്രൂഷന്മാര്ക്കും കൂടെ എഴുതുന്നതു

1. Paul and Timotheus the servants of Jesu Christ. To all the saints in Christ Jesu which are at Philippos, with the bishops and deacons.(ministers)

2. നമ്മുടെ പിതാവായ ദൈവത്തിങ്കല് നിന്നും കര്ത്താവായ ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിങ്കല് നിന്നും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു കൃപയും സമാധാനവും ഉണ്ടാകട്ടെ.

2. Grace be with you and peace from God our father, and from the Lord Jesus Christe.

3. ഞാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു എല്ലാവര്ക്കും വേണ്ടി കഴിക്കുന്ന സകലപ്രാര്ത്ഥനയിലും എപ്പോഴും സന്തോഷത്തോടെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥിച്ചും

3. I thank my God with all remembrance of you,

4. നിങ്ങളില് നല്ല പ്രവൃത്തിയെ ആരംഭിച്ചവന് യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ നാളോളം അതിനെ തികെക്കും എന്നു ഉറപ്പായി വിശ്വസിച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

4. always in all my prayers for you all, and pray with gladness,

5. ഒന്നാംനാള് മുതല് ഇതുവരെയും സുവിശേഷഘോഷണത്തില് നിങ്ങള്ക്കുള്ള കൂട്ടായ്മ നിമിത്തം

5. because of the fellowship which ye have in the gospel(gospell) from the first day unto now,

6. ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ ഔര്ക്കുംമ്പോള് ഒക്കെയും എന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്നു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്യുന്നു.

6. and am surely certified of this, that he which began a good work in you shall perform(go forth with) it until the day of Jesus Christ,

7. കൃപയില് എനിക്കു കൂട്ടാളികളായ നിങ്ങളെ ഒക്കെയും എന്റെ ബന്ധനങ്ങളിലും സുവിശേഷത്തിന്റെ പ്രതിവാദത്തിലും സ്ഥിരീകരണത്തിലും ഞാന് എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തില് വഹിച്ചിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു അങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങളെ എല്ലാവരെയും കുറിച്ചു വിചാരിക്കുന്നതു എനിക്കു ന്യായമല്ലോ.

7. as it becometh me so to judge of you all, because I have you in my heart, and have you also every one companions of grace with me, even in my bonds as I defend, and stablish the gospel.(gospell)

8. ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിന്റെ ആര്ദ്രതയോടെ ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ എല്ലാവരെയും കാണ്മാന് എത്ര വാഞ്ഛിക്കുന്നു എന്നതിന്നു ദൈവം സാക്ഷി.

8. (For) God beareth me record how greatly I long after you all from the very heart root(rote) in Jesus Christ.

9. നിങ്ങളുടെ സ്നേഹം മേലക്കുമേല് പരിജ്ഞാനത്തിലും സകല വിവേകത്തിലും വര്ദ്ധിച്ചു വന്നിട്ടു

9. And this I pray, that your love may increase more and more in knowledge,(all manner of knowledge) and in all fealing,(experience)

10. നിങ്ങള് ഭേദാഭേദങ്ങളെ വിവേചിപ്പാറാകേണം എന്നും ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ നാളിലേക്കു നിര്മ്മലന്മാരും ഇടര്ച്ചയില്ലാത്തവരും

10. that ye might accept things most excellent,(that ye may prove what is best) that ye might be pure and such as should hurt no man's conscience, until the day of Christ,

11. ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മഹത്വത്തിന്നും പുകഴ്ചെക്കുമായിട്ടു യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിനാല് നീതി ഫലം നിറഞ്ഞവരുമായി തീരേണം എന്നും ഞാന് പ്രാര്ത്ഥിക്കുന്നു.

11. filled with the fruits of righteousness, which fruits come by Jesus Christ unto the glory and laud(praise) of God.

12. സഹോദരന്മാരേ, എനിക്കു ഭവിച്ചതു സുവിശേഷത്തിന്റെ അഭിവൃദ്ധിക്കു കാരണമായിത്തീര്ന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങള് അറിവാന് ഞാന് ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നു.

12. I would ye understood brethren that my business is happened unto the greater furthering(furtherance) of the gospel.(gospell)

13. എന്റെ ബന്ധനങ്ങള് ക്രിസ്തുനിമിത്തമാകുന്നു എന്നു അകമ്പടിപട്ടാളത്തില് ഒക്കെയും ശേഷം എല്ലാവര്ക്കും തെളിവായിവരികയും

13. So that my bonds in Christ are manifest thorow out all the judgement hall: and in all other places;

14. സഹോദരന്മാര് മിക്കപേരും എന്റെ ബന്ധനങ്ങളാല് കര്ത്താവില് ധൈര്യം പൂണ്ടു ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വചനം ഭയംകൂടാതെ പ്രസ്താവിപ്പാന് അധികം തുനിയുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

14. Insomuch that many of the brethren in the Lord are boldened thorow my bonds, and dare more largely speak the word without fear.

15. ചിലര് ക്രിസ്തുവിനെ അസൂയയും പിണക്കവും നിമിത്തം പ്രസംഗിക്കുന്നു;

15. Some there are which preach Christ of envy and strife, and some of goodwill.

16. ചിലരോ നല്ല മനസ്സോടെ തന്നേ. അവര് സുവിശേഷത്തിന്റെ പ്രതിവാദത്തിന്നായിട്ടു ഞാന് ഇവിടെ കിടക്കുന്നു എന്നു അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടു അതു സ്നേഹത്താല് ചെയ്യുന്നു.

16. The one part preacheth Christ of strife, and not purely, supposing to add more adversity to my bonds.

17. മറ്റവരോ എന്റെ ബന്ധനങ്ങളില് എനിക്കു ക്ളേശം വരുത്തുവാന് ഭാവിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു നിര്മ്മലതയോടെയല്ല ശാഠ്യത്താല് അത്രേ ക്രിസ്തുവിനെ പ്രസംഗിക്കുന്നതു.

17. The other part of love, because they see that I am set to defend(for the defence of) the gospel.(to gospell)

18. പിന്നെ എന്തു? നാട്യമായിട്ടോ പരമാര്ത്ഥമായിട്ടോ ഏതുവിധമായാലും ക്രിസ്തുവിനെ അല്ലോ പ്രസംഗിക്കുന്നതു. ഇതില് ഞാന് സന്തോഷിക്കുന്നു; ഇനിയും സന്തോഷിക്കും.

18. What thing is this? Notwithstanding by all manner ways, whether it be by occasion or of truth, yet Christ is preached: and therefore I joy.(What then? So that Christ be preached all manner ways, whether it be by occasion, or of true meaning, I therein joy:) Yea and will joy.

19. നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥനയാലും യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ ആത്മാവിന്റെ സഹായത്താലും അതു എനിക്കു രക്ഷാകാരണമായിത്തീരും എന്നു ഞാന് അറിയുന്നു.

19. For I know that this shall be for my health,(chance for my salvation) thorow your prayer, and ministering of the spirit of Jesu Christ,

20. അങ്ങനെ ഞാന് ഒന്നിലും ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോകാതെ പൂര്ണ്ണധൈര്യം പൂണ്ടു ക്രിസ്തു എന്റെ ശരീരത്തിങ്കല് ജീവനാല് ആകട്ടെ മരണത്താല് ആകട്ടെ എപ്പോഴും എന്നപോലെ ഇപ്പോഴും മഹിമപ്പെടുകേയുള്ളു എന്നു പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കയും പ്രത്യശിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

20. as I heartily look for and hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed: but that with all confidence, as always in times past, even so now Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be thorow life, or else death.

21. എനിക്കു ജീവിക്കുന്നതു ക്രിസ്തുവും മരിക്കുന്നതു ലാഭവും ആകുന്നു.

21. For Christ is to me life, and death is to me advantage.

22. എന്നാല് ജഡത്തില് ജീവിക്കുന്നതിനാല് എന്റെ വേലെക്കു ഫലം വരുമെങ്കില് ഏതുതിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കേണ്ടു എന്നു ഞാന് അറിയുന്നില്ല.

22. If it chance me to live in the flesh, that is to me fruitful for to work, and what to choose I wot not.

23. ഇവ രണ്ടിനാലും ഞാന് ഞെരുങ്ങുന്നു; വിട്ടു പിരിഞ്ഞു ക്രിസ്തുവിനോടുകൂടെ ഇരിപ്പാന് എനിക്കു കാംക്ഷയുണ്ടു; അതു അത്യുത്തമമല്ലോ.

23. I am constrained of two things: I desire to be loosed,(lowsed) and to be with Christ, which thing is best of all:

24. എന്നാല് ഞാന് ജഡത്തില് ഇരിക്കുന്നതു നിങ്ങള് നിമിത്തം ഏറെ ആവശ്യം.

24. Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.

25. ഇങ്ങനെ ഉറെച്ചുകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങളുടെ വിശ്വാസത്തിന്റെ അഭിവൃദ്ധിക്കും സന്തോഷത്തിന്നുമായി തന്നേ ഞാന് ജീവനോടിരിക്കും എന്നും നിങ്ങളോടു എല്ലാവരോടും കൂടെ ഇരിക്കും എന്നും അറിയുന്നു.

25. And this am I sure of, that I shall abide, and with you all continue, for the furtherance and joy of your faith,

26. അങ്ങനെ ഞാന് നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കല് മടങ്ങി വരുന്നതിനാല് എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു നിങ്ങള്ക്കുള്ള പ്രശംസ ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവില് വര്ദ്ധിപ്പാന് ഇടയാകും.

26. that ye may more abundantly rejoice in Jesus Christ thorow me, by my coming to you again.

27. ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ വന്നു കണ്ടിട്ടോ ദൂരത്തിരുന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ അവസ്ഥ കേട്ടിട്ടോ നിങ്ങള് ഏകാത്മാവില് നിലനിന്നു എതിരാളികളാല് ഒന്നിലും കുലുങ്ങിപ്പോകാതെ ഏകമനസ്സോടെ സുവിശേഷത്തിന്റെ വിശ്വാസത്തിന്നായി പോരാട്ടം കഴിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഗ്രഹിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ സുവിശേഷത്തിന്നു യോഗ്യമാംവണ്ണം മാത്രം നടപ്പിന് .

27. Only let your conversation be, as it becometh the gospel(gospell) of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may yet hear of you, that ye continue in one spirit, and in one soul laboring as we do to maintain the faith of the gospel,(gospell)

28. ഇതു അവരുടെ നാശത്തിന്നും നിങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷെക്കും ഒരു അടയാളമാകുന്നു;

28. and in nothing fearing your adversaries: which is to them a token of perdition, and to you a sign of health,(salvation) and that of God.

29. അതു ദൈവം തന്നേ വെച്ചതാകുന്നു. ക്രിസ്തുവില് വിശ്വസിപ്പാന് മാത്രമല്ല അവന്നു വേണ്ടി കഷ്ടം അനുഭവിപ്പാനും കൂടെ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വരം നല്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

29. For unto you it is given, that not only ye should believe on Christ: but also suffer for his sake,

30. നിങ്ങള് എങ്കല് കണ്ടതും ഇപ്പോള് എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു കേള്ക്കുന്നതുമായ അതേ പോരാട്ടം നിങ്ങള്ക്കും ഉണ്ടല്ലോ.

30. and have even the same fight which ye saw me have and now hear of me.
