1. ക്രിസ്തുവില് വല്ല പ്രബോധനവും ഉണ്ടെങ്കില്, സ്നേഹത്തിന്റെ വല്ല ആശ്വാസവും ഉണ്ടെങ്കില്, ആത്മാവിന്റെ വല്ല കൂട്ടായ്മയും ഉണ്ടെങ്കില്, വല്ല ആര്ദ്രതയും മനസ്സലിവും ഉണ്ടെങ്കില്,

1. Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy,

2. നിങ്ങള് ഏകമനസ്സുള്ളവരായി ഏകസ്നേഹം പൂണ്ടു ഐകമത്യപ്പെട്ടു ഏകഭാവമുള്ളവരായി ഇങ്ങനെ എന്റെ സന്തോഷം പൂര്ണ്ണമാക്കുവിന് .

2. fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.

3. ശാഠ്യത്താലോ ദുരഭിമാനത്താലോ ഒന്നും ചെയ്യാതെ താഴ്മയോടെ ഔരോരുത്തന് മറ്റുള്ളവനെ തന്നെക്കാള് ശ്രേഷ്ഠന് എന്നു എണ്ണിക്കൊള്വിന് .

3. Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or self-glory, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others as surpassing himself.

14. Do all things without murmuring and disputing,

19. But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you shortly, that I also may be encouraged when I know your state.

20. നിങ്ങളെ സംബന്ധിച്ചു പരമാര്ത്ഥമായി കരുതുവാന് തുല്യചിത്തനായി എനിക്കു മറ്റാരുമില്ല.

20. For I have no one like-minded, who will sincerely care for your state.

21. യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ കാര്യമല്ല സ്വന്ത കാര്യമത്രേ എല്ലാവരും നോക്കുന്നു.

21. For all seek their own, not the things which are of Christ Jesus.

22. അവനോ മകന് അപ്പന്നു ചെയ്യുന്നതുപോലെ എന്നോടുകൂടെ സുവിശേഷഘോഷണത്തില് സേവചെയ്തു എന്നുള്ള അവന്റെ സിദ്ധത നിങ്ങള് അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ.

22. But you know his proven character, that as a son with his father he served with me in the gospel.

23. Therefore I hope to send him at once, as soon as I see how it goes with me.

24. But I trust in the Lord that I myself shall also come shortly.

25. Yet I considered it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, fellow worker, and fellow soldier, and your messenger and the one who ministered to my need;

27. For indeed he was sick almost unto death; but God had mercy on him, and not only on him but on me also, that I should not have sorrow upon sorrow.

28. Therefore I send him the more eagerly, that when you see him again you may rejoice, and I may be less sorrowful.

29. അവനെ കര്ത്താവില് പൂര്ണ്ണസന്തോഷത്തോടെ കൈക്കൊള്വിന് ; ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ളവരെ ബഹുമാനിപ്പിന് .

29. Receive him therefore in the Lord with all gladness, and hold such men in honor;

30. എനിക്കു വേണ്ടിയുള്ള നിങ്ങളുടെ ശുശ്രൂഷയുടെ കുറവു തീര്പ്പാനല്ലോ അവന് തന്റെ പ്രാണനെപ്പോലും കരുതാതെ ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ വേലനിമിത്തം മരണത്തോളം ആയ്പോയതു.

30. because for the work of Christ he came close to death, not regarding his life, to supply what was lacking in your service toward me.
