1. ആകയാല് സഹിച്ചുകൂടാഞ്ഞിട്ടു ഞങ്ങള് അഥേനയില് തനിച്ചു ഇരിക്കേണ്ടിവന്നാലും വേണ്ടതില്ല എന്നുവെച്ചു ഈ കഷ്ടങ്ങളില്

1. So, no longer enduring, we were pleased to be left in Athens alone,

2. ആരും കുലുങ്ങിപ്പോകാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിങ്ങളെ സ്ഥിരപ്പെടുത്തുവാനും നിങ്ങളുടെ വിശ്വാസം സംബന്ധിച്ചു നിങ്ങളെ പ്രബോധിപ്പിപ്പാനുമായിട്ടു നമ്മുടെ സഹോദരനും ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ സുവിശേഷഘോഷണത്തില് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ശുശ്രൂഷകനുമായ തിമൊഥെയൊസിനെ അയച്ചു.

2. and sent Timothy, our brother and minister of God, and our fellow worker in the gospel of Christ, in order to establish you and to encourage you concerning your faith,

3. കഷ്ടം അനുഭവിപ്പാന് നാം നിയമിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങള് തന്നേ അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ.

3. that no one be drawn aside by these afflictions. For you yourselves know that we are appointed to this.

4. നാം കഷ്ടമനുഭവിക്കേണ്ടിവരും എന്നു ഞങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളോടു കൂടെ ഇരുന്നപ്പോള് മുമ്പുകൂട്ടി പറഞ്ഞിട്ടുമുണ്ടു; അവ്വണ്ണം തന്നേ സംഭവിച്ചു എന്നു നിങ്ങള് അറിയുന്നു.

4. For even when we were with you, we said to you before that we are about to be afflicted, as it also happened, even you know.

5. Because of this, no longer enduring, I also sent to know your faith, that the tempting one not somehow tempt you, and our labor should come to be in vain.

6. But now Timothy coming to us from you, and announcing good news to us of your love and faith, and that you have good remembrance of us always, longing to see us, even as also we long to see you.

7. സഹോദരന്മാരേ, ഞങ്ങളുടെ സകല കഷ്ടത്തിലും സങ്കടത്തിലും നിങ്ങളുടെ വിശ്വാസം ഹേതുവായി ഞങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു ആശ്വാസം പ്രാപിച്ചു.

7. Because of this we were comforted over you, brothers, on all our affliction and distress through your faith,

8. നിങ്ങള് കര്ത്താവില് നിലനിലക്കുന്നു എന്നു അറിഞ്ഞു ഞങ്ങള് വീണ്ടും ജീവിക്കുന്നു.

8. because now we live, if you should stand fast in the Lord.

9. നമ്മുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സന്നിധിയില് നിങ്ങളെച്ചൊല്ലി ഞങ്ങള് സന്തോഷിക്കുന്ന സകല സന്തോഷത്തിന്നും തക്കതായി ദൈവത്തിന്നു എന്തൊരു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്വാന് ഞങ്ങളാല് കഴിയും?

9. For what thanks are we able to return to God concerning you, over all the joy with which we rejoice because of you before our God,

10. ഇനി നിങ്ങളുടെ മുഖം കാണ്മാനും നിങ്ങളുടെ വിശ്വാസത്തിന്റെ കുറവു തീര്പ്പാനുമായി ഞങ്ങള് രാവും പകലും വളരെ താല്പര്യത്തോടെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥിച്ചുപോരുന്നു.

10. night and day praying exceedingly for me to see your face, and to complete the things lacking in your faith?

11. നമ്മുടെ ദൈവവും പിതാവുമായവനും നമ്മുടെ കര്ത്താവായ യേശുവും ഞങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കല് വരുവാന് വഴിനിരത്തിത്തരുമാറാകട്ടെ.

11. But may our God and Father Himself, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way to you.

12. എന്നാല് ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു നിങ്ങളോടുള്ള സ്നേഹം വര്ദ്ധിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ കര്ത്താവു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തമ്മിലും എല്ലാവരോടുമുള്ള സ്നേഹം വര്ദ്ധിപ്പിച്ചു കവിയുമാറാക്കുകയും

12. And may the Lord make you to increase and to abound in love toward one another and toward all, even as we do also toward you,

13. ഇങ്ങനെ നമ്മുടെ കര്ത്താവായ യേശു തന്റെ സകലവിശുദ്ധന്മാരുമായി വരുന്ന പ്രത്യക്ഷതയില് നമ്മുടെ ദൈവവും പിതാവുമായവന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ വിശുദ്ധീകരണത്തില് അനിന്ദ്യരായി വെളിപ്പെടുംവണ്ണം നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളെ സ്ഥിരപ്പെടുത്തുകയും ചെയ്യുമാറാകട്ടെ.
