1. ഒടുവില് സഹോദരന്മാരേ, ദൈവ പ്രസാദം ലഭിപ്പാന്തക്കവണ്ണം നിങ്ങള് എങ്ങനെ നടക്കേണം എന്നു ഞങ്ങളോടു ഗ്രഹിച്ചതുപോലെ — നിങ്ങള് നടക്കുന്നതുപോലെ തന്നേ — ഇനിയും അധികം വര്ദ്ധിച്ചു വരേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞങ്ങള് കര്ത്താവായ യേശുവിന്റെ നാമത്തില് നിങ്ങളോടു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു പ്രബോധിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

1. Furthermore we beseech you brethren, and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that ye increase more and more, even as ye have received of us, how ye ought to walk and to please God.

2. ഞങ്ങള് കര്ത്താവായ യേശുവിന്റെ ആജ്ഞയാല് ഇന്ന കല്പനകളെ തന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങള് അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ.

2. Ye remember(know) what commandments we gave you in the name of our Lord Jesu. (Christ)

3. ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടമോ നിങ്ങളുടെ ശുദ്ധീകരണം തന്നേ. നിങ്ങള് ദുര്ന്നടപ്പു വിട്ടൊഴിഞ്ഞു

3. For this is the will of God, which is your sanctifying, (even that ye should be holy, and) that ye should abstain from fornication,(whoredom)

4. ഔരോരുത്തന് ദൈവത്തെ അറിയാത്ത ജാതികളെപ്പോലെ കാമവികാരത്തിലല്ല,

4. that every one of you should know how to keep his vessel in sanctifying(holiness) and honour,

5. വിശുദ്ധീകരണത്തിലും മാനത്തിലും താന്താന്റെ പാത്രത്തെ നേടിക്കൊള്ളട്ടെ.

5. and not in the lust of concupiscence, as do the heathen, which know not god,

6. ഈ കാര്യത്തില് ആരും അതിക്രമിക്കയും സഹോദരനെ ചതിക്കയും അരുതു; ഞങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളോടു മുമ്പെ പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ ഈ വകെക്കു ഒക്കെയും പ്രതികാരം ചെയ്യുന്നവന് കര്ത്താവല്ലോ.

6. that no man go beyond,(too far) and defraud his brother in bargaining, because the Lord is avenger of all such things: as we told you before time, and testified unto you.

7. ദൈവം നമ്മെ അശുദ്ധിക്കല്ല വിശുദ്ധീകരണത്തിന്നത്രേ വിളിച്ചതു.

7. For god hath not called us unto uncleanness: but unto sanctifying.(holiness.)

8. ആകയാല് തുച്ഛീകരിക്കുന്നവന് മനുഷ്യനെ അല്ല, തന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിനെ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തരുന്ന ദൈവത്തെ തന്നേ തുച്ഛീകരിക്കുന്നു.

8. He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, which hath sent his holy spirit among you.

9. But as touching brotherly love, ye need not that I write unto you. For ye are taught of God to love one another.

10. മക്കെദൊന്യയില് എങ്ങുമുള്ള സഹോദരന്മാരോടു ഒക്കെയും അങ്ങനെ ആചരിച്ചും പോരുന്നുവല്ലോ; എന്നാല് സഹോദരന്മാരേ, അതില് നിങ്ങള് അധികമായി വര്ദ്ധിച്ചുവരേണം എന്നും

10. Yea and that thing verily ye do unto all the brethren, which are thorowout all Macedonia. We beseech you brethren that ye increase, more and more,

11. പുറത്തുള്ളവരോടു മര്യാദയായി നടപ്പാനും ഒന്നിന്നും മുട്ടില്ലാതിരിപ്പാനും വേണ്ടി

11. and that ye study to be quiet, and to meddle with your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you:

12. ഞങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളോടു ആജ്ഞാപിച്ചതുപോലെ അടങ്ങിപ്പാര്പ്പാനും സ്വന്തകാര്യം നോക്കുവാനും സ്വന്തകൈകൊണ്ടു വേല ചെയ്വാനും അഭിമാനം തോന്നേണം എന്നും നിങ്ങളെ പ്രബോധിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

12. that ye may behave yourselves(may walk) honestly toward them that are without and that nothing be lacking unto you.

13. സഹോദരന്മാരേ, നിങ്ങള് പ്രത്യാശയില്ലാത്ത മറ്റുള്ളവരെപ്പോലെ ദുഃഖിക്കാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിദ്രകൊള്ളുന്നവരെക്കുറിച്ചു അറിവില്ലാതിരിക്കരുതു എന്നു ഞങ്ങള് ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു.

13. I would not brethren have you ignorant concerning them which are fallen asleep, that ye sorrow not as other do which have no hope.

14. യേശു മരിക്കയും ജീവിച്ചെഴുന്നേല്ക്കയും ചെയ്തു എന്നു നാം വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു എങ്കില് അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ ദൈവം നിദ്രകൊണ്ടവരെയും യേശുമുഖാന്തരം അവനോടുകൂടെ വരുത്തും.

14. For if we believe that Jesus died, and rose again: even so them also which sleep by Jesus, will God bring again with him.

15. കര്ത്താവിന്റെ പ്രത്യക്ഷതവരെ ജീവനോടെ ശേഷിക്കുന്നവരായ നാം നിദ്രകൊണ്ടവര്ക്കും മുമ്പാകയില്ല എന്നു ഞങ്ങള് കര്ത്താവിന്റെ വചനത്താല് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

15. And this say we unto you in the word of the Lord, that we which live and are remaining in the coming of the Lord, shall not come yer they, which sleep.

16. കര്ത്താവു താന് ഗംഭീരനാദത്തോടും പ്രധാനദൂതന്റെ ശബ്ദത്തോടും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ കാഹളത്തോടുംകൂടെ സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില്നിന്നു ഇറങ്ങിവരികയും ക്രിസ്തുവില് മരിച്ചവര് മുമ്പെ ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേല്ക്കയും ചെയ്യും.

16. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, and the voice of the archangel, and trompe of God. And the dead in Christe shall arise first:

17. പിന്നെ ജീവനോടെ ശേഷിക്കുന്ന നാം അവരോടു ഒരുമിച്ചു ആകാശത്തില് കര്ത്താവിനെ എതിരേല്പാന് മേഘങ്ങളില് എടുക്കപ്പെടും; ഇങ്ങനെ നാം എപ്പോഴും കര്ത്താവിനോടുകൂടെ ഇരിക്കും.

17. then shall we which live and remain, be caught up with them also in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so shall we ever be with the Lord.

18. ഈ വചനങ്ങളെക്കൊണ്ടു അന്യോന്യം ആശ്വസിപ്പിച്ചുകൊള്വിന് .

18. Wherefore comfort your selves one another with these words.
